| Third Person's POV |
| Sunday |
Today was the dinner night with Argents and In a few minutes, he has to go over. Nate is dressed in a mix of formal and casual. he went shopping this morning and brought a bottle of wine, flowers, and small light desserts all put together in a basket.
Nate goes next door and rings the bell. Chris Argent opens the door with a smile and welcomes him in. They greet each other and Nate hands him the basket and Chris thanks him. Chris tells him that Victoria and Allison are in the kitchen preparing the food and will finish in a minute. Also tells him where the guest bathroom is if Nate wants to use it before or during dinner.
After meeting the rest of the family, they sit down and begin eating. Nate compliments the delicious food. After everyone has finished most of their food they begin to really talk.
"So, Nate say how you like Beacon hills so far, you know we used to live here for a while before we had to move," Chris asks to break the ice.
"Well, it has been great the people are all nice and helpful and I made some really wonderful friends. So far I'm really glad that I decided to move here."
"And also, Allison told me about your job. It must be hard to work as a security consultant and arms dealer for the government, especially when you have to move around almost every year"
"Yes, it is but it is a necessary evil I'm afraid. Allison told us that you used to move around a lot more than us wasn't that harder"
"You would think so but no if you don't count all the moving around. As we traveled a lot for my father's job, we couldn't move all our staff every 3 months or so. That's why we would only take our clothes and the necessary items with us. Most of the time we used to live in hotels my father's clients arranged or more rarely in their houses."
"Really? And I thought we were having it bad what was your father's job that had you traveling so much?"
"He was well known as a personal trainer, especially in the kickboxing circle. So, he had many people lining up to be trained by him and usually he would go for the one who paid the most"
"And I guess he taught you how to fight" "Yeap kickboxing and karate."
"And now I can't go to sleep with doing some training you know too much energy" as Nate and Chris talked Allison and Victoria listened with interest. Then Victoria asks him a question of her own.
"So Nate it's what you said about not drinking true or just something to be said in front of the adults?" Allison pouts at her mother about making this into an interrogation. Nate lightly laughs and smiles wide at her.
"As a said Mrs. Argent-" "Please just Victoria is fine the same with Chris" Nate sees Chris nods agreeing with her.
"Oh, please don't say that, I prefer using titles. It is really awkward for me to speak so informally with someone unfamiliar unless I get to know them really well and then it depends"
"Really why is that?"
"Well, when I was young dad would tell me to address the people I talk to properly since he would constantly take me on his jobs. But now I believe everyone deserves some respect as common courtesy unless, of course, they do something really stupid in my opinion or just try to hurt me and those really close to me in any kind of way."
"That is something everyone should live by but nowadays you rarely find someone with your kind of belief" Victoria comments with Chris and Allison agree with her. And Allison's eyes show admiration for him.
"Thank you, if you prefer, I could do a Mr. Chris and Mrs. Victoria," says Nate, and the senior Argents Agree with smiles.
"Anyway, back to your question Mrs. Victoria. Like I said don't like Alcohol I can drink I just hate the taste of it. I can drink it if it's mixed with other drink that covers the taste and that's on special occasions. I just don't understand why they make getting drunk something great. A year ago, my uncle had me get drunk with a mixed drink and I still don't understand why would you do that to yourself on purpose I hated every second of it" Nate realized that he blabbered and apologizes while being a little embarrassed.
"No, it's nice to meet a teenager with your kind of views I hope there were more like you"
Like that they continued to talk about different topics and recent news. At one point Nate asked to see their gun collection that Allison said the other day if it was possible. After it was time to end today's night Victoria goes and brings dessert before Nate leaves.
we see Nate saying goodbyes to them and Allison escorts him to the front door to talk.
"I'm sorry it was probably really awkward for you and then mom starts her usual interrogation when I bring someone over. And then-"
"Hey slow down okay everything was fine I like your parents and I had a great night, you didn't like it"
"What no tonight was wonderful I haven't seen my parents so nice and friendly with my friends before"
"See you don't have anything to worry about everyone had a great time." He says and gets a little close to whisper to her.
"And if this was them being nice and friendly then I will pray for the poor soul you'll decide to bring over to meet your parents" And gives her a big grin. Allison closes the distance more and whispers back
"Well, then maybe I'll bring you since they liked you so much" Allison smiles and says some words seductively to him.
Nate with a sudden but a little slow movement of his head kisses her on the cheek. Allison was surprised by the movement but didn't move and then was taken aback by the kiss on the cheek. Nate laughs out loud and grins at her when he sees her baffled face.
"You thought I was going to kiss you on the lips didn't you" and laughs more as he teases her. Allison pouts and punches him on the chest with a 'you bastard' but nevertheless smiles at him.
"Anyway, a really like our friendship and want it continuous for a long time, goodnight, Allison, and see you tomorrow," he says sincerely.
"Me too" she replies smiling at him. As Nate leaves Allison shouts at him at the last minute.
"Let's go together tomorrow to School!" And Nate gives A "sure"
