Franklin grabs several sheets of paper from a printer and heads off as instinct chatter was heard nearby filling the room. And he soon walks into a work room.

CENTRAL INTELLIGENE AGENCY
Dangerous Species Division

Franklin soon got to his desk and sighed, and turns to his computer as a woman screams and gasping a video shows her on the beach as a Dimorphodon was mobbing her.

"No! Please, please!" She cried. "No, no!"

Franklin then sighed.

"This year, man." Franklin said. "What's next?"

"Historically, uh, darkness, blood, rain of fire." A coworker man said. "I think frogs. We're not gonna be around for much longer anyway. These locusts in Nebraska are about to wrap it up." He looked at his computer. "They're eating the corn, wheat. Basically all of our food and our food's food. So we can say goodbye to this." He held out a donut. "And, uh, the added note of these winged creatures turning up everywhere, no one has still gotten a good look at any one of them. But most recent sighting reported what looked like a winged lizard."

Then a goofy babbling ringtone plays as Franklin reaches for his phone and answered.

"Hello?" He answered.

"Franklin, it's me." Claire spoke. "You at work?"

"Okay." Franklin said getting up. "You're kind of a subject of interest around here, so I can't really be talking to you."

"Come on, I'm in trouble." Claire said. "I really need your help, please."

"Yeah, and I could lose my job, and you know I'm not qualified to do anything else." Franklin said.

"We're outside."

Franklin got to a window and peeks through the blinders seeing, Owen, Claire, Olivia, Jun, D'Angelo and Alex.

"Let me talk to him." Owen said.

Shortly later, they were at a café as Franklin worked his tablet and brought up the lead hunter that took Maisie, Tom, Blue's daughter and the Night Fury cub.

"That him?" Franklin asked showing the hunter's profile.

"That's him." Owen said.

"Who is that?" D'Angelo asked.

"Name's Rainn Delacourt." Franklin said. "Real piece of work. What he'd take?"

"Something we care about very much." Claire said.

"He also took my son." Olivia said.

"Oh, shit." Franklin said realizing their situation. "I told you somebody would come looking for her. You can't just take a person, Claire."

"I had no choice." Claire said firmly.

"Not in the eyes of the law." Franklin countered.

"This guy is not the law." Owen said.

"Are you gonna help us or not?" Olivia snapped losing her patience making him jump.

"Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!" Franklin quickly said as Owen held her back. "Let's just settle down. All right?"

"Easy, Liv." Owen said.

"I'm sorry, but I just can't stand an extra minute fearing what that sick man will do to my son." Olivia said.

"We're all worried, Mrs. Kullersen." Jun said. "We are too."

"How do you know Owen, anyway?" D'Angelo asked.

"We... used to hang out during high school." Olivia explained. "Haven't seen each other sometime before Jurassic World was brought down."

"Tell us how to find him." Owen said bringing the subject back.

"Where'd you guys call me from?" Franklin asked.

Claire hands him a burner phone.

'We have a man on the inside of Delacourt's operation." Franklin said. "There's an exchange in Malta sometime tomorrow - cash for cargo."

"Was she with him?" Owen asked.

"There's no mention, but we have people on the ground already." Franklin said. "One of 'em you know. A lot of us got recruited by the CIA after the park went down." He worked his tablet and showed Barry Sembené, an old friend to Owen during their time at Jurassic World before the Indominus incident. "Barry's French intelligence now."

They turn to each other.

"I need to talk to him." Owen said.

"You can't just call him." Franklin said. "He's deep cover. Look, once we make the bust in Malta, our guys will see if Delacourt knows where she is. Our guys. Not you. Promise me you won't go in there with your vest and mess everything up."

"Why would I do that?" Owen inquired.

"Look, you guys are crazy, but... you seem like you're good parents or whatever you're trying to be." Franklin said. "She's lucky to have you. Don't get killed, okay?"

Meanwhile, the WhisperJet flies over the clouds in northeastern Italy approaching the Dolomites.

Inside, Ellie woke up from sleeping as her head was resting Alan's shoulder who was also asleep. She soon turns to him as he stirred and she sat up as the plane rattled and Alan woke up and cleared his throat.

"Think we're almost there." Ellie said.

"Yeah." Alan said.

Soon, the WhisperJet descends towards a runway for landing.

BIOSYN SANCTUARY
Dolomites Mountains, Italy

The side-door of a helicopter opens as a young African American man stepped out, and indistinct chatter fills the airfield as he made his way over to Alan and Ellie.

"Dr. Sattler, Dr. Grant." He said. "Ramsey Cole, communications."

"Oh, hey." Ellie said and shook his hand.

"Uh, I have to warn you, everyone's so excited to have you." Ramsey said shaking Alan's hand. "You guys are absolute legends around here."

"Mm, you must be confusing us with somebody else." Ellie teased a bit.

"You know, it's great that you guys are still so close with Dr. Malcom." Ramsey said. "I mean, sometimes you meet your heroes and they disappoint you, but he's exactly the way you'd want him to be. I mean, such motility of thought. It's incredible.

"Yeah." Ellie said.

"How much time have you spent with him?" Alan asked.

Ramsey then chuckled. "Uh, well, I know that was sarcastic, but honestly, not enough. Oh, please, after you."

"Oh." Ellie said climbing in the helicopter.

"Watch your head." Ramsey said.

The EurocopterEC145 flew over the Dolomites enroute to Biosyn.

"So, Biosyn bought this land for the amber deposits back in the '90s, but we've managed to turn it into a safe haven for about 20 displaced species." Ramsey explained. "First generation came from Sorna. Most of the Nublar dinosaurs are here, too. Took Fish and Wildlife 3 years to catch the T. Rex."

"The..." Ellie stared knowing which in particular.

"The T. Rex is here?" Alan said stunned.

"Oh, yeah. Yeah." Ramsey said and chuckled. "Arrived just before you guys."

The EurocopterEC145 continues flying through the Dolomite peaks as flew over what looks like a frozen river. And soon approached a large dam leading to a large valley with a lush forest.

"Aerial deterrent system active." An automated voice said.

Alan turns to Ramsey.

"Restricted airspace protects the airborne life." Ramsey explained. "Keeps the pterosaurs below 500 feet."

"Airborne?" Ellie said looking out the window.

Alan looks out his window and noticed a large Titanosaur below.

"Is that Dreadnoughtus?" Alan asked.

Ellie gasped and looks through. "What?"

The EurocopterEC145 flies over the valley as below a Dreadnoughtus was feeding on water at a lake as it lowly bellows.

Alan and Ellie stared amazed at the giant.

"Beautiful, right?" Ramsey said. "The name means "fear nothing". Well, I guess you know that." He then chuckled.

"What do they graze on?" Ellie asked.

"Hawthorn and fern." Ramsey explained. "All indigenous - nothing stocked except for the deer population. It's a great mezzanine for the apex predator."

"Oh..." Ellie stared.

"Apex predator?" Alan inquired.

"Giganotosaurus." Ramsey explained. "At least for now."

The EurocopterEC145 flies over the forest as below, birds chirping fill the forest chorus as a Giganotosaurus was sleeping as it grunts softly, and a Moros wanders by the giant predator. The Giganotosaur exhaled as the Moros turns to it.

And nearby from the dinosaur, a shape in the trees watches the resting Giganotosaur softly growling. The dapple light from the trees only gave off a shape of a creature similar in shape, a long neck, and a pair of horns on it's head.

Soon, the creature loses interest and heads off.

"Uh, you don't let people in there, right?" Ellie asked.

"Uh, no, our-our research..." Ramsey then chuckled. "Our research outposts are connected completely underground. If we have to, we can just herd the animals remotely using a neuro-implant that sends electrical signals directly to the brain."

"Like shocks?" Alan asked.

"Uh, n-no, li-like signals." Ramsey explained.

"Doesn't it strike you as a little bit, uh..." Alan said.

"Cruel?" Ellie inquired.

"Cruel." Alan finished.

"Do you know how much voltage was in the electric fences at Jurassic Park?" Ramsey asked.

"Yeah." Alan said recalling the memory.

Soon, the EurocopterEC145 approaches Biosyn Facility.

In the courtyard, many people wandered around in different directions as Ramsey, Alan and Ellie arrived.

"Please join Dr. Ian Malcom at noon in the lecture hall for "The Ethics of Genetic Power.'" A woman over P.A announced.

"God, everyone's so young." Alan said.

"Oh, well, it is part of our ethos to attract the best and brightest." Ramsey said.

Close by, Lewis Dodgson saw them and with him was Sledkin.

"Doctors." He said. as they approached. "Respected and reowned Dr. Sattler, Dr. Grant. Hi. I'm... Wow, this is big. I'm-I'm Lewis."

"Dodgson. Yeah." Ellie said shaking his hand.

"Hi." Lewis greeted.

"You're Lewis Dodgson?" Alan said.

"I am." Lewis said shaking his hand. "How do you do?"

"Pleasure to meet you." Sledkin said shaking Ellie's hand. "Wilma Sledkin. Lead scientist of ICARIS."

"ICARIS?" Ellie frowned. "Oh, yeah. I've heard of your operation of that fissure in Canada. It's quite fascinating."

"Thank you." Wilma said. "I'd be happy to show you there sometime."

"Thank you." Ellie said. "Has your team found anything in that fissure?"

"Not yet." Wilma said. "But I'm confident of something big will turn up soon."

"We didn't expect to actually see you here." Ellie said turning to Lewis.

"Oh, well, I wouldn't be anywhere else." Lewis said and turns to Ramsey. "Would you?"

"No." Ramsey chuckled.

"I mean, the people you see here are changing the world." Lewis said. "Would you mind if we, um..." He gestured to a photographer.

"Uh..." Alan said.

"Oh." Ellie said.

"Just to..." Lewis said. "It would mean a lot. If..."

Alan lightly groaned.

"Do you want to, um..." Ellie asked.

They then turned to the photographer.

"Oh, great." Lewis said. "Thank you so much."

"Oh, uh..." Ellie said.

The camera clicked as the photographer took a few more shots.

"Th-That's good." Lewis said. "That's good. Thanks."

The 2 photographers soon left.

"So, you are going to see some remarkable things today." Lewis said to them. "We are unlocking the true power of the genome. We're this close." He held his index finger and thumb half an inch apart. "Believe me."

"You'll make a fortune with that." Ellie said.

"No, it's not about money." Lewis said. "No, we've already identified dozens of applications for paleo-DNA. We're talking about cancer, Alzheimer's, autoimmune. We will be saving lives, but..."

"I bet." Ellie said.

"Indeed." Wilma said. "And one of the reasons why I decided ICARIS to join operations with Biosyn to improve the chances. If anything, that fissure could hold health benefits we never knew existed."

Lewis then shushed and chuckled.

"Um, anyway, I wish I could take you around myself, but, uh, it's, uh..." Lewis said.

"It's work related stuff we're busy with." Wilma explained.

"So, you're in more-then-capable hands with Ramsay." Lewis said. "He's basically a... a young me, only smarter, and, uh, taller..."

Ramsey chuckled.

"Do you have food?" Lewis asked.

Ramsay turns to him.

"Like, one of my bars?" Lewis asked.

"Pardon?" Ramsay frowned. "Um..."

"No, never mind." Lewis said. "Uh, uh, I'll find something. So, uh, I want to do more of this, um, later on if we, um... Oh, we booked you a private pod -"

"Right." Ramsay said.

"-for the trip out, so... It's beautiful." Lewis said. "You'll love it. Through the caverns and everything. Uh, you better hurry. Malcolm's on. He's a bit of a contrarian, but I like him. He keeps us on our toes. Anyway..." He then bowed. "Thank you for being here. It's..."

He and Wilma then walked off.

"Okay, um, follow me, please." Ramsay said.

He then walks off.

"What?" Ellie frowned.

In the facility, Dr. Ian Malcolm was speaking to a room of people.

"Human beings have no right to safety or liberty than any other creature on this planet." Ian spoked. "We not only lack dominion over nature, we're subordinate to it. And now here we are with the opportunity to rewrite life at our fingertips. And just like nuclear power, nobody knew what to expect with genetic engineering, but they pressed the button and hoped for the best... just like you are doing now. Yep. You. You control the future of our survival on planet Earth. According to you, the solution is genetic power. But that same power could devastate the food supply, create new diseases, alter the climate even further. Unforeseen consequences occur. And every time, every single time... we all act surprised? Because deep down, I don't think that any of us actually believe that these dangers are real."

A door was heard opening as Ian glanced over and saw Ramsay, Alan and Ellie. And he turns back to the audience.

"In order to instigate revolutionary change, we must transform human consciousness." Ian continued and finished.

The audience gave him an applause and some cheered.

Later, Ian was giving autographs to students' books.

"Mayam?" Ian inquired.

"Mm-hmm." A girl nodded.

Ian smiled and turned away.

"Very good." He said.

"Dr. Malcolm?" A few others in the crowd said.

He then saw Alan and Ellie.

"There-there you go." Ian said. "Hey, I don't want to be rude to my friends. Thank you. Catch me on my way out. Thanks, everybody." He went over to Alan and Ellie. "Look at you, and look at me, and look at you. Wow, this is so trippy."

"You look like you're doing well." Alan said.

"Well, I got 5 kids, you know, whom I adore more than life itself, so... uh, expenses add up." Ian said. "You, Alan? Are you... are you... You have any family or...?"

"No." Alan shook his head.

"So, uh, I need to talk to you." Ellie said.

"Yeah, I need to talk to you, too." Ian said as they walked. "Privately."

"Do you 2 talk a lot?" Alan asked.

"Uh, he slid into my DMs." Ellie explained.

"He did what?" Alan asked.

"It's urgent, Ian." Ellie said.

"What did you do?" Ian asked.

"'Seven minutes to midnight" stuff." Ellie said.

"Uh, the Doomsday Clock might be about out of time, but as they say, it's always darkest just before eternal nothingness." Ian said.

"What?" Alan frowned.

They soon wandered into the facility's cafe.

"Locusts, altered with Cretaceous-era DNA." Ellie explained as they head down a curved staircase.

"Yeah, that's not my field." Ian said.

"Yeah, but if these things continue to multiply, we're talking about cascading system-wide effects, Ian." Ellie said.

"Gosh, that's a drag." Ian said.

"What is the matter with you?" Alan asked sharply.

"Why? Is there something special you want me to do?" Ian asked.

"Yeah, how about you give a damn?" Alan suggested.

"You know far to much not to care." Ellie said.

"Hey, I-I gave my opinion robustly for years." Ian said. "As expected, the sum of our human endeavors has led to our annihilation, and the only play now is to take time that we have left and, uh, you know, just like we always do, squander it."

"Honestly, Ian, that's bullshit." Ellie said.

"Can I offer you guys some joe?" Ian asked bringing out a wristband of some sort. "Uh, Tyler, please, 2 cappuccinos."

"I don't want a cappuccino." Alan said.

"Uh, well, I could do, like, a cortado or, like, macchiato." Tyler offered.

"Trust me, it's real tough, that jet lag." Ian said. "It's gonna perk you right up." He then drags Elle with him.

Tyler works the milk steamer as it whirls loudly as Ian then turns to a security camera.

"The locusts are part of a larger project called Hexapod Allies." Ian said hushly. "You're right about their intent. I started hearing rumors 6 weeks ago. I read your piece on decadence and put two and two together."

"I was not raising my voice." Alan said to Tyler.

"You're beginning to." Tyler said. "It's crescendoing, isn't it?"

"They're proliferating wildly." Ellie said hushly. "They're lasting 3, 4 times longer than they should. And all my models are pointing toward a global ecological collapse, Ian."

"Downstairs, sublevel 6." Ian instructed and giving her the wristband. "That's where they keep the locusts. Look for a lab marked L4. And Sledkin's also up to something big. Deep down, she is a snake."

"But wait, how are we ever gonna get down there?" Ellie asked as the whirring stopped.

"Hey, this looks so silky." Ian said mentioning her coat. "May I touch this blouse, by any chance?"

"Sure." Ellie said.

"You know what it is?" Ian asked as Alan turns to them. "Don't tell... Don't tell me. This is..."

"You won't know it." Ellie said.

"This is sustainable bamboo." Ian said.

"Is it sustainable bamboo." Ellie said.

Alan turns away from them.

"That's what I said it." Ian said.

"How did you know that?" Ellie asked.

"I just know it." Ian said.

"Yeah, it's amazing." Ellie said.

"I've got cumin." Tyler insisted.

"It's very amazing." Ian said.

"I've got cinnamon." Tyler said. "I've got allspice, which is not very popular. I've got 5-spice."

"Doctor." Ian said as Alan turns to him and nodded.

"Um, if you're into that kind of feel." Tyler said. "Um, and let's talk milks."

"Yeah." Alan said and Ian walks off.

"Okay." Tyler continued. "Soy milk, yes?"

Ellie gasped turning to him.

"No." Tyler said.

"What just happened?" Alan asked bewildered as Ramsay appeared.

"We're in." Ellie whispered.

Ian heads up the staircase as Lewis and Wilma watched almost suspicious-like and soon head off.

An elevator door soon opened.

"Sublevel 6. Restricted." An automated voiced announced.

Lewis and Wilma stepped out of the elevator and head into the hall.

In a room, a container held several locusts as Lewis fiddles with a DNA strand sculpture looking at a chalkboard. And on a desk was Tom's lightning sword, Jun's shield, the capsule, and strangely a chest showing a crest of some kind with a dragon.

"Lewis, you're not listening to me." A man's voice said. "The locusts' prehistoric DNA has made them stronger than they should be. They're multiplying like crazy, and they're not dying. What part of this don't you understand?"

"Oh, I do understand." Lewis said.

"We're just on a minor setup, Dr. Wu." Wilma said.

"This is gonna be a global famine." Henry said.

"Hey, hey, we can't anticipate everything." Lewis said.

"We need to eradicate the ones we released." Henry said.

"What?" Lewis stared.

"All of them." Henry said.

"No." Lewis said.

"Like... like, yesterday." Henry said.

"No. Henry." Lewis said. "We don't want to cause a panic. We want control."

"There is no such thing." Henry stated.

Lewis then went over to and sighed.

"When we're afraid, what do we do?" Lewis inquired. "What have we done before? We follow through. That's what we do. Right?"

"Right." Henry said looking lowly.

They remained silent for a few moments.

"We found the girl." Lewis said. "She's en route."

"As well as Kullersen's son." Wilma added.

"Cost me a fortune." Lewis said.

"What?" Henry said turning to them. "Wait, you found her?"

"Yeah, found them both." Lewis said. "Her and the little Raptor."

"The boy as well and one of these the sightings spoke off." Wilma said tossing a photo to Henry.

The photo saw a flash of a black silhouette.

"Blue reproduced all on her own." Lewis said. "Just like you said. You're so smart, Henry."

"I should probably consider giving you a place in ICARIS, Doctor." Wilma said.

Henry chuckled softly.

"That's why this works." Lewis said. "You understand the value of these creatures. You always have. I do, too. And we don't stop because a, what, little side project went south?"

"Or the fact that when I went over some old footage of Wong's and Gonzalez's girls grabbing a container of a reptile looking exact to those sightings worldwide." Wilma said. "I know they're hiding something."

"Hey. If they trace the locusts back to us, they come for the dinosaurs." Lewis said. "All your work gone. Billions of dollars in assets gone."

"Nearly 30 years of your life's work gone like that." Wilma said snapping her fingers.

"Diamonds with no one to mine them." Lewis said. "You really think she's the solution?"

Henry then stood up.

"Okay." Lewis said. "Everything involving the girl goes through me, right?"

"And whatever you get out from the boy, I want to know immediately." Wilma said. "Are we clear with that?"

"Is she all right?" Henry asked concerned for Maisie's safety.

"She better be." Lewis said and walks off as Wilma followed. "She's the most valuable intellectual property on the planet."

"And whatever that boy knows, is gonna make me go down in history." Wilma said.

Author's Note:

Next, a tussle with the Maltese dragons. In some ways, quite literally. And let's say the Atrociraptors won't be the only ones involved in the exchange with Santos. And likely a confession as well.

And for Nine Realms fans, nearly 1 month away from Season 4. I wonder what dragons will appear/return in it. Considering the appearance of the Ice Realm, my bet a Snow Wraith will return. And, I don't know, one episode with a familiar ending like with Race to the Edge, Season 4 episode, Blindsided.

And today is International Sloth Day for those who like sloths.
