Day 4

On a date -Kleinsen

A/N this is just super fluffy, it's also short but that's alright

Jared POV:

"Ev, stop running! It's dark out, we're gonna trip over something. It's dark out!" I whined.

"I'm not running, you're being over dramatic," he sighed, slowing his walking. Okay, yeah, he wasn't running but he was still walking insanely fast!

"How dare you accuse me of being over dramatic! I never over dramatize things. I'm hurt," he scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"Shut up, we're almost there," he took my hand in his, pulling me toward him so we were right by each other, both walking at the same pace.

He led us both to an open field where there weren't many trees, a perfect spot to have a picnic or sit around. Evan took the blanket that he was holding in his other hand and spread it out along the grass. Sitting down the patting beside him, motioning for me to sit by me.

I sat down by him, sitting criss-cross. There was a slight cliff a few feet in front of us, the moonlight glistening on the water below it.

"I know this probably isn't the best place to go on a date. . we could leave if you want; if you don't like it. I just thought that it'd be nice to come here, it's fairly secluded from a lot of people and crowds and it's just really, um, peaceful over all. I don't know why I thought this was a good place, I'm sor—"

I cut him off, "Ev, stop. It's a great place. I'm glad you brought me here, I don't want to leave. As long as I can be with you." He stared at me for a moment. "What? Why are you staring at me?"

"That was just– that was super fucking cheesy," he giggled.

"Shut up, it's true! I'm trying to be nice," I huffed.

He leaned over and pecked my lips softly, "I know, it's sweet. I wasn't saying that as a bad thing or anything." A pause, "Thank you."

"For what?"

"I don't know. . for just, being here with me, I guess? I'm just really grateful for you. ."

"Yeah, and what I said was cheesy," I joked. "But don't thank me. Really I should be thanking you."

"What? Why?"

"I was a complete asshole to you all throughout high-school, Evan! And yet here you are, on a date with me. After everything!"

"Yeah, well, I think that can be forgiven after what I did to you," he sighed. "We can just both forgive each other and try to move on, I mean, it obviously doesn't excuse what we did but it's really all we can do," I nodded.

"Yeah, I'm fine with that," the two of us smiled, I took his hand and intertwined our fingers, kissing him softly.

The kiss was short and sweet. When we pulled away I moved closer to him and rested my head on his shoulder, staring at the water sparkle and shine as the moonlight reflected off of it.
