Ben is sitting in the passenger seat. Three-fourths of the occupants are unaware of his existence and the remaining quarter is incapacitated and unable to witness his shotgun status. Five is driving. Ben is not sure where he is heading. This part of town is unfamiliar territory. Diego is in the back seat holding Klaus's upper body. Klaus's legs are stretched out over the other seats. Diego is applying pressure to the bullet wound. Other than Klaus now being unconscious, he looks largely the same as in the warehouse. The bandages Klaus had made out of sheets are barely visible, blending in with the macabre that coats almost all of Klaus. Cha-Cha, last anyone checked, is gaged in their trunk.

Five is driving fast. Far too fast to be legal. Ben hopes they won't be caught. A familiar building flies by and Ben recognizes the bus station Diego would sometimes drop Klaus off at when he gave him a ride.

"Where are you going, Five?" Diego asks.

"Hospital."

"He hates hospitals." Diego mutters under his breath.

"Yeah, well, last I checked, we want him to live, or have you forgotten that Mom is not here anymore?"

Sirens wail behind them and Diego turns in his seat to look. Five's glance flicks over to the mirror and back onto the road. He scowls and jams on the gas pedal, propelling them forward. Diego looks back again.

"Drive, Five. Drive!"

"What do you think I'm doing?"

The make a right turn, in the opposite direction of the hospital. A second cop car joins the chase. They whiz by building after building. A third car pulls out of an alley ahead of them and Five clips the vehicle in passing. The new arrival gives chase. They drive past the waterfront, past their confused siblings, past the precinct, which turns out to be a bad idea.

Ben is starting to wonder what the plan is. If they pull over, both Diego and Five are in serious trouble, and that doesn't even cover the fact that they have a person gaged in their trunk. On the other hand, "Grand Theft Auto" is not helping Klaus. They cannot drive forever. At what point do they surrender? If they pull over, Klaus can get medical treatment, right? Although there is the issue of their hostage. As if hearing Ben's thoughts, Diego clears his throat.

"Five, we can't drive forever."

They are now being tailed by no less than five police cars and is that a chopper?

"Take the wheel."

"Wha-what?"

"I said, take it, Diego! I'm going to jump Klaus to a hospital and then get you out of here."

"O-okay."

Diego maneuvers his body so that Klaus is now laying completely on the back seat and slides into the passenger's side. Ben jumps up and joins Klaus in the back, not wanting to be sitting inside Diego, no matter how amused Klaus would be if he found out.

Five reaches behind for Klaus's arm and vanishes. Diego yanks the steering wheel and the car jerks. Ben wants to join Klaus but is not completely sure where Five took him. A few minutes later and Five blinks next to Ben.

"I'm going to jump Cha-Cha to the hotel room and tell the others to meet there, then I'll come back for you."

Diego looks through the rearview mirror and nods. Ben drifts out of the vehicle just as Five disappears again. He better head to the hotel. Perhaps he can get an update on Klaus there.
