Alright, we're into season 5 now. And this episode will be adding Ahsoka in there. Should be interesting.
On the Cybloc Transfer Station, Maul, Tyron, and Savage set out on their next quest. To find supplies and resources to fund an army against the Jedi and the Separatists. It was quite clear now to Tyron that Maul wasn't quite well pleased with being replaced. So he decided to retaliate. The station was easily taken over. It's quite easy to deal with droids than it is with people. Droids are predictable after all, especially with their programming. Maul and Savage scoured the ship of anything they could find. Tyron found a safe however and opened it with his lightsaber.
"Well, well. Now this could work well for us." Tyron said.
"Look brother. A fortune." Savage said. But Maul didn't care about that.
"True fortune will be the demise of Kenobi. Credit chips are meaningless without a plan to survive. The Jedi are hunting us. We will be forced to make a stand." Maul explained.
"And we will deal with them." Savage said, confident.
"No. Maul's right. There are too many Jedi out there. We are not quite ready to face the Jedi yet." Tyron said.
"To continue we need one singular vision. My vision." Maul said.
"Brother, let the three of us share our strength. There is no need for dominance." Savage replied.
"Always two there are, my brother, a Master and an Apprentice and you are the apprentice." Maul said.
"No, if there is to be this then Tyron should be the apprentice." Savage said.
"I appreciate your friendship Savage, but he is your brother, I am not." Tyron said.
"But you are more well trained than I am. There is still much I must learn." Savage said.
"My brother is correct. Yet there are only two. Why would I accept you?" Maul questioned.
"That raises another point. You could have killed me at Dathomir, or when we faced Kenobi and Ventress on our ship. Why didn't you?" Tyron asked.
"I am strong, so is Savage, but you, have a certain cunning, strength I have not yet heard of. It is perplexing to me that one so young should have this power. I have only ever seen it in one other person, but you are an exception." Maul said pausing for a moment. "So, I would like to teach you a lesson." Maul said igniting his blade. Tyron looked to Savage who backed off. Tyron ignited his own blade. It first started with a few reflects. Tyron was trying to hit Maul, but he kept blocking. Tyron then reached with his left hand and deduced Maul grabbing it, to which Tyron swung at him again. Maul was forced to release his grip. He was impressed, but in two moves Maul used his legs to grab at Tyron's face and pin him to the ground. Tyron was beat and he knew it.
"You are as powerful as they said." Tyron told him. Maul inched his blade closer to his face.
"And I shall complete your training. Not as my brother's friend. But as your Master." Maul said. Tyron felt pride in him. He was Darth Maul's apprentice. You know what he did. He can get you revenge. You know what he did. He will destroy your enemies. You know what he did. Tyron pushed those thoughts back again.
Meanwhile, on a Republic ship, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Adi Gallia and Ahsoka Tano were heading to the transfer station.
"The distress signal is coming from here, the Meridian sector, Cybloc system." Obi-Wan reported.
"It is close enough to the earlier attack." Gallia said.
"I have a feeling it's them." Obi-Wan said. Ahsoka stayed silent as they docked into the station. One of the engineers led them around the crime scene.
"They ought to be flush, chips were all unlocked. No way to trace 'em. All done by the two crabbiest Zabraks this side of the Hydian." The engineer said.
"The other one. The boy. Was he here too?" Ahsoka asked.
"Yep, but he was calm. That was scarier than those two Zabraks. I'd watch out for him." The engineer said.
"Yeah, I would too." Ahsoka whispered the last part to herself.
"And they were alone?" Obi-Wan asked.
"Yeah, yeah. What are they? A couple of Jedi gone rouge or something?" The engineer asked.
"They're not Jedi." Obi-Wan said firmly. The guy looked to be in thought.
"Do me a favor, spark up that Lightsaber would you?" The engineer asked. Obi-Wan ignited his blade. "Mm-hm those droids that got attacked said theirs were red."
"They are Sith, and we need to find them before they strike again." Obi-Wan said.
"Well, they took my cargo ship. The droid survivor said they heard something about the Sertar sector." The engineer said. Obi-Wan appeared to be deep in thought.
"What is in the Sertar sector?" Gallia asked.
"That's where Florrum is." Obi-Wan said. Ahsoka realized that too.
"You've been there?" Gallia asked to which Obi-Wan and Ahsoka nodded. "What can we expect?"
"Pirates." They both said. Afterwards, Ahsoka pulled Obi-Wan aside to talk for a moment.
"Master, why did you bring me here? Anakin wasn't exactly happy when he found out you needed me for a secret mission." Ahsoka asked.
"Ahsoka, you know Tyron is with Maul and his brother right?" Obi-Wan asked. Ahsoka nodded her head. "He's become more dangerous that I thought. I feel the dark side growing in him."
"He's not really like that. He helped Anakin and I rescue those children on Mustafar." Ahsoka said.
"I am not sure. He's been twisted by Maul's influence. I cannot think anything good will happen to him." Obi-Wan defended. "Regardless Ahsoka, I brought you here, because you are the only one who has truly fought him. You know how he works; I cannot face Maul with just Master Gallia. I need you here Ahsoka." Obi-Wan said. Ahsoka just nodded her head, but she got a really bad feeling about all this.
The cargo ship that they stole worked perfectly for pirates to board. Tyron didn't like the fact that they had to go to Florrum again. He hated his last experience with Hondo and didn't want a repeat of last time. The pirates boarded the ship and began exploring. They found the weapons and spices that were left behind.
"Pure sansanna spices." One of them said.
"Hondo will be pleased. We drink tonight." Another pirate said. Tyron recognized the voice of one of them. It was Jiro, one of Hondo's captains. "Now find me those life forms." He ordered. Maul, Tyron, and Savage leapt from their hiding spots.
"Found us." Tyron said. It was over rather quickly. They only had to deflect a few blaster bolts and Maul Force gripped Jiro, holding him above the ground.
"Do you want to live?" Maul asked.
"Yes. Very badly." Jiro managed to say. Maul let him down and Savage opened the safe filled with credit chips enticing the pirates.
"We will make you rich." Savage said.
"Your skills and talents could serve us well. The choice is yours." Maul said.
"Wait a minute. Aren't you Dooku's brat?" Jiro said noticing Tyron. Tyron rolled his eyes at that.
"Former brat." Tyron said.
"Are you saying that you'll hire us?" Jiro asked.
"Yes. That is the plan." Tyron said.
"What kind of Jedi are you anyway?" Jiro asked. Maul took great offense at that.
"We are not Jedi! We are lords. Crime lords." Maul said. Tyron knew it was a good idea to not reveal themselves yet as Sith.
"We work for Hondo. You'll have to pay us really well to get us to betray him." Jiro said.
"Money is of no object for men like us. You will have all that you desire and more if you pledge yourselves to me." Maul explained. Jiro seemed to like that.
"Alright. I'm tired of working for Hondo anyway. I'll call up a couple of the boys and see if they'll join us." Jiro said. Later on some of the captains arrived to negotiate.
"I am certain Captain Hondo will never throw in with you." One of them said.
"Hondo's base will soon be ours and he will not survive this unless he embraces the same choice I give you now." Maul said.
"Ha! I'm in." Jiro said.
"So am I." Another captain said.
"I am not sure, let's see what Hondo says about that." The reluctant captain said. They decided to contact Hondo from his base on Florrum.
"Three of your lieutenants have already sworn allegiance to me." Maul said.
"Traitors! Scum!" Hondo yelled. And you boy! I have to deal with you again?! I thought you learned your last lesson?" Hondo said to Tyron.
"All too well. I learned that I want to kill you, slowly, painfully." Tyron said.
"Ha! I'm so proud. But so betrayed." Hondo said.
"There is a penalty for resistance." Maul said going behind the reluctant captain and stabbing him. The others were shocked. But Hondo was not deterred.
"Let me warn you. You are not the first sword wielding maniac I've had to deal with, and Hondo Ohnaka survives every time." Hondo said.
"We shall see." Maul said.
Meanwhile, Obi-Wan, Gallia and Ahsoka arrived at Florrum.
"We have a match on the cargo ship." Gallia said.
"It seems Maul, Tyron and Savage have picked up a pirate escort." Obi-Wan commented.
"Maybe to unload the stolen cargo." Gallia said.
"Why would they team up with pirates?" Ahsoka asked.
"Yes, it seems odd. I'm not sure Hondo would have an alliance with them, considering the last time he dealt with Sith." Obi-Wan said.
"So, you know this Hondo personally?" Gallia asked.
"Actually, we both do." Ahsoka piped up nervously.
"Yes, unfortunately, we do." Obi-Wan said. They decided to contact Hondo to assess the situation. "Greetings Hondo."
"Greetings? What kind of menace have you brought to my planet now?" Hondo asked, annoyed. "First you lose this system and Grievous comes in and destroys my entire stronghold leaving me here to rummage through the leftovers of my once great empire. And now, these two horned men and that annoying brat show up. I know him but what of those horny headed maniacs? They don't seem like normal Jedi."
"Not Jedi, Hondo, Sith." Obi-Wan said. "We tracked them here."
"They just threatened to attack with a group of my men, my own men!" Hondo shouted.
"Yes, we are looking at them right now. A cargo vessel and three of your starships. They are heading towards you Hondo." Obi-Wan explained.
"Da-da-da, more to the point, are you going to help me when you get here?" Hondo asked.
"There's nothing we can do about your men, but we can certainly do something about the Sith." Obi-Wan said.
"Good, I'll deal with my men. You deal with those crazy freaks." Hondo said.
"Right." Obi-Wan said cutting the transmission.
The plan was working, they made some strafing runs before landing the three ships and their cargo ship. The doors opened to reveal a battle going on. Maul smiled at his achievements, but Tyron wasn't hopeful yet that it may succeed. Deep down he felt that working with pirates would backfire. Just then a Republic ship landed nearby. Tyron couldn't believe they could get here that quickly.
"The Jedi brother, they've found us!" Savage shouted. Maul was frustrated at that.
"No, it's too soon, my plan isn't finished yet. Too soon." Maul said. The three of them ran to the ship to reveal Kenobi, a Jedi Master and one person Tyron didn't expect to see, Ahsoka. The three of them appeared behind the Jedi and ignited their blades.
"Throwing in with pirates now? Oh how the mighty Sith have fallen." Obi-Wan mocked.
"My dear, it has been so long since we last saw each other." Tyron said to Ahsoka.
"Yeah? Well it's gonna be different now." Ahsoka said firmly.
"How so?" Tyron asked.
"Because I'm ready for you this time." Ahsoka said igniting her green blade and a second yellowish blade.
"Oh, now that's interesting." Tyron said.
They started the fight. Tyron had to block more than usual; he was used to facing Ahsoka when she had just one blade. But now that is was two it was proving not as easy as before. But he was still having fun.
"So this is how you fight now?" Ahsoka asked. "You help children but ally with pirates?"
"You know nothing of me!" Tyron said. "You think you've got me figured out? The Jedi took everything from me! You'll never understand my pain!" Tyron said, going on the offensive. He was locking his lightsaber with her two when all of a sudden he heard a scream.
"NO!" Obi-Wan shouted. Tyron looked away for a moment, Ahsoka as well. It appeared that Savage had killed the other Jedi.
"Looks like she wasn't much of a challenge. Savage is a Jedi killer; you should meet him." Tyron goaded. Ahsoka didn't take the bait and continued the fight. "What? Nothing to say? You really have changed!" Tyron said going offensive again.
"Ahsoka! Come on!" Obi-Wan shouted. Ahsoka leapt to where Obi-Wan was and Tyron gave pursuit along with Maul and Savage. Obi-Wan and Ahsoka leapt a great distance away from the Sith warriors and retreated into Hondo's base where they met up with him. "Where are the rest of your men?" Obi-Wan asked.
"They are setting up an ambush. We can use your help." Hondo said before noticing it was just the two of them. "Where is the other Jedi?"
"She's… she's dead." Obi-Wan said mournfully. This took Hondo by surprise.
"She's d—they are too powerful for even you? I am semi speechless." Hondo said. They started to hear the enemy pirates arrive.
"We'll deal with the brothers and the boy. Once that's done, blast the passageway closed." Obi-Wan said.
"And leave you with the three crazies?" Hondo asked.
"We can deal with them." Ahsoka said. "Trust me."
"Well, okay." Hondo said. They then turned around to find Maul, Tyron and Savage with their men arrive. "Retreat! Retreat!" Hondo shouted.
"Do not let them escape!" Maul shouted. Obi-Wan and Ahsoka led the Sith one way, the pirates went another. Once they were separated Hondo did as Obi-Wan ordered and blasted the passageways closed. Now it was Obi-Wan and Ahsoka facing Maul, Tyron, and Savage. "Surrender. We are three, and you both are no match for all of us." Obi-Wan simply ignited his blade and Gallia's while Ahsoka ignited her blades as well.
"You are mistaken." Obi-Wan said.
The fight began anew. Obi-Wan and Ahsoka kept switching from opponent to opponent, but their one singular goal was Savage, specifically his leg that Gallia had tried to kick. Obi-Wan went from Maul and Savage to kick the leg, while Ahsoka went from Tyron to Savage kicking the leg. It was quite easier to engage them due to the fact they had two blades instead of one. But Maul was sort of figuring out their strategy and lifted Obi-Wan in the air and slammed him against the wall. Tyron separated Ahsoka from Obi-Wan and locked blades with her. Maul and Savage then went for the kill on Obi-Wan, but he raised his two blades and locked them with the two Sith warriors. That's when he found his opening, he kicked at Savage's leg again, this time he managed to crack it and with one swift motion cut off Savage's left arm. Savage screamed in pain which alerted Tyron.
"Savage!" Tyron shouted.
"Savage!" Maul shouted as well. Maul then used the Force to push both Obi-Wan and Ahsoka far away from them on the other side, the debris falling on them. "Come, brother. This plan has failed, but we will have another opportunity." They made their way outside with the other pirates, but something felt off to Tyron, it didn't look like they were going to listen to them anymore. "Jiro ready the men, we're leaving!" Maul ordered. And Tyron's fears came true when Hondo appeared behind them.
"My men aren't going anywhere with you." Hondo said. "Look at them, how powerful can they be? They are running away from Kenobi!" Hondo mocked.
"Filth! You will pay for your insolence." Maul growled.
"Insolence! We are pirates! We don't even know what that means! Open fire!" Hondo shouted.
Maul, Tyron, and Savage then began to run towards their ship, the pirates firing upon them. Now it felt harder to deal with the pirates. They had twice the numbers now, thanks to Hondo getting his men back. Hondo however was busy shooting at Maul's legs, when he hit one, a green mist leaked out. Tyron knew what he was going to do, and his fear was real as one of the pirates shot one of Maul's legs off. Savage quickly picked up his brother and they ran for it; Tyron was busy covering for them as he was the only one without a serious injury. Tyron then saw an opening of sorts, when he used the Force to grab the Republic ship and have it plummet in front of the pirates and unaware to them, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka were in hot pursuit of them as well. The three Sith made their way to their ship and began a quick takeoff but one of Hondo's men had a rocket launcher and shot one of their engines.
"Our engines have been compromised. Get to the escape pod." Maul said. Savage wasn't confident though.
"It's too late." Savage said.
"Trust me my friend." Tyron said. Savage then reluctantly got up and helped Maul get to the escape pod, with Tyron handling getting them out of there. They managed to separate from the ship and drifted into space, hopefully the Jedi wouldn't find them.
And I'll just leave it there until we get to one of my favorite arcs in the show, the Mandalore arc. Ahsoka being in the episode might not mean much but if it were just Obi-Wan it would seem like he was too powerful, plus I really like putting Tyron and Ahsoka together so it works out.
