Elena's pov:
A few years ago, if someone were to tell her that Bonnie and Damon would fall in love, she would've been totally confused. Then she saw how they were and the happiness they both had when they were dating. Now it's hard to imagine them not being together. All she wanted was for Bonnie to be happy again.
Elena lost the train of her thoughts when she heard Bonnie speak, "I know what you're thinking, but I'm fine, really." Bonnie said with a smile, but neither of the girls were convinced.
Narrator's pov:
Caroline scoffed in return, "Bonnie, you couldn't watch Gossip Girl with us because Dan and Blair's relationship reminded you of yours with Damon." Bonnie protested, "It's true though. Watching that will just remind me that me and Damon could've also ended up together."
Bonnie's pov:
Bonnie sighed right after. She knew that she was acting weird, but she couldn't help it. Call her delusional, but she thought that she and Damon would actually make it. They had their differences and argued a lot, but still managed to make their relationship work.
Despite still being heartbroken over Damon, she was just so grateful that her friends were there to comfort her.
Narrator's pov:
After several moments of silence and crying while watching the Notebook, Bonnie cleared her throat and spoke up. "Thank you guys for being here for me. It truly means a lot to me, but you guys should probably go. Jenna and Liz will probably be pissed at you guys for staying up past your curfews, plus I don't wanna burden you with my problems."
Caroline and Elena looked at Bonnie incredulously. Caroline put her hands on Bonnie's shoulders, "Bonnie, you done so much for us and for everyone. We just want you to be happy." Caroline replied and Elena nodded
Bonnie started to tear up. She loved Elena and Caroline so much. "I love you guys" She said with a sad smile. Caroline and Elena started to cry as well. "Oh bring it in you guys", Caroline said while full on sobbing. They all cried into their group hug and stayed like that for 20 minutes.
I'm aware that furniture and d*rena were endgame but fuck canon. Also I've thought of several ways the barolena scene would go down, but I like this so that's what I settled for. And Jenna was brought back from the dead instead of Krusty. And anyone who follows me on tumblr might already know that I think that bamon is the dair of tvd, so I decided to parallel them.
