Elena and Caroline met up with Stefan on the field. They were going to go to the boarding house, but apparently Damon vomited up all the bourbon he drank into the toilet. Stefan had to bathe him and carry him to bed. But also, he didn't want Damon to know about the plan.
The three vampires sat on the same bench as the one they sat on when lightning the lanterns. Stefan cleared his throat right before speaking. "Okay, we've gotta do something." Caroline nodded in agreement, "I agree with you. Don't get me wrong, I still think that Damon is a disgusting piece of shit that should die in a ditch and Bonnie could do better." She paused for a second. "But Bonnie was really happy with him and she deserves to be happy more than anyone else I know."
Elena then asked, "So what's the plan?". Stefan cleared his throat before responding, "I'll stall Damon by taking him to Merteuli's, since that's where they had their first date. You and Caroline can tell Bonnie that Liz and Jenna allowed you guys to stay longer." Elena and Caroline nodded in response. "Okay, and during that time, me and Elena will suggest that we go get some take out. Then we'll meet up, bringing Bonnie and Damon, and then see where this goes. They nodded in agreement, then went their separate ways. Bonnie and Damon will be together again.
