This went a little differently than I thought, but I'm still really happy with it. Also this will be the final chapter. Also, this is the first time I've ever finished a multi chapter story and I'm really proud of it. Enjoy!

Narrator's POV

Damon and Stefan have been at the restaurant for over 10 minutes. The waiter came up to their table. He had a tired expression on his face from working. "Your meals are almost ready. Just wait for a few minutes please." They just nodded in reply to him. "Thank you sir" Stefan replied.

Damon cleared his throat, "So brother, what's up with you and Elena? Are you guys tying the knot or what?" Stefan and Elena's bond was so thick that Damon was surprised that they didn't get married after graduation. Stefan chuckled in return, "Just waiting for the right time brother."

At that exact moment, Bonnie, Caroline, and Elena walked into the restaurant. Damon and Stefan heard the door open and saw them.

'Of course this was all a set up' Damon thought and chuckled bitterly. How the fuck did he not notice this?

Bonnie's POV

She stared in shock as she saw Damon at the bar. How did she not realize that this was a trap? But deep down, she was really happy to see him. She missed him so much and couldn't stop thinking about Damon. She just wondered if he still felt the same way.

Narrator's POV

Bonnie walked to Damon's table and they looked at each other in awe. Both their hearts stopped as they gazed at each other in awe. "Bonnie", Damon said breathlessly. Bonnie smiled at him softly, "The one and only."

They kept gazing into each other's eyes, until the waiter came over. "Dinner is served." He placed the food on the table. There was a big plate of spaghetti, along with a side of mashed potatoes, and two glasses of strawberry lemonade.

Stefan then cleared his throat, "We'll leave you two alone." Caroline and Elena nodded right before heading out with him.

Bonnie and Damon started eating the spaghetti together. They also dug into the mashed potatoes in unison. There was an awkward silence for a few minutes. Damon eventually spoke up, "So how are you Bon? What's new?"

Bonnie sighed and chuckled back in response. She always loved it when he called her Bon. It was a nice change from his shitty witch puns. "Not much, me and Lucy went to Paris together, the New Orleans." Damon was just smiling at her. "How was it?"

Bonnie returned his smile, "It was amazing: the food was amazing, the clothes were gorgeous. You know, I actually have pictures of me standing in front of the Eiffel Tower. Here, take a look."

Damon looked at them in amazement. He was so happy for Bonnie.

"Bon, that's amazing." Damon replied breathlessly. His face was so dangerously close to hers that they could kiss at any moment. Bonnie could feel her heart beating rapidly.

She stopped herself from getting in too deep. "Damon", Bonnie said softly. He pulled away from her, so their foreheads were no longer touching. "I'm sorry." Damon replied. Bonnie stuttered, "N-no it's fine." Damon shook his head, "No, I shouldn't have done that. Bonnie, I love you so much and I want you to be happy. You're the kindest, most loving, and beautiful person I kn-"

Bonnie cuts him off with a kiss. Damon reluctantly kissed her back with just as much passion. Maybe they will live happily ever after for real.

Okay so that is it! I hope you guys enjoyed this. At first, I was going to have them actually kiss instead of almost but that felt too soon, so I did the almost first. Honestly, I liked this better, then the ones with the almost kiss leading to more angst (not that those aren't well written, they tug my heartstrings but still).
