Chapter 9 (New Discovery)
Alpha Base
The base were been bustled with personnel walking back and forth doing different tasks that was assigned to them. Helicopters, Military jeeps and many more were either exiting or entering the base, meanwhile the existing vehicles were heading to the new recent established base to the west containing their necessary equipment for exploration purposes.
Scene Change
Lab room
Albert Pov
I was in a room with other of my colleagues or scientists facing the room between the one way mirror. I watch my subordinates placed the two unconscious animals at the table gently and began to separate their clothes from the uniformed rabbit and the fox wearing what to be a hawaiian style shirt and a police uniform, which I found cute due to its small size. The men in hazmat suits placed the animal clothes at the basket for examination later for any contagious disease.
Then I heard the door opened and closed, I looked towards the source to see my close friend, Calie.
"How's everything going?" She asked while looking at the room between the one way mirror with interest.
"Everything is going on schedule, and now we are waiting for blood samples to examine." I said to her. As I watch the other personnels with the animals, who was beginning their extraction of small amount of blood for examination and other research purposes.
Calie nodded, then she grab one of the i-pad and scrolling into something which leaving me curious. Then her eyes widened and looked at me.
"What a mere coincidence. This two animals that in our possession are the ones that break-in on the rain forest district facility, two months ago?" She said while checking their names.
"Well. I rather say not coincidence rather than our spec ops are sticking at them like glue." I said to her calmly.
She nodded.
"I see. I'm going to report this to HQ for their current situation." She said while gesturing the two unconscious animals.
I just nod and she takes her leave. I looked back at them once more. This is getting more interesting.
3rd Pov
Inside the interrogation room
Judy & Nick was starting to awake after they were being transferred to another room, as it progress. Both of them sit up on their seperated tables with painful groans, while both rubbing their paws at their forehead.
"Ugh! Judy are you okay?" Nick asked while looking at her, then noticed something was off...
They were both naked.
Judy was going to answer back to Nick when she noticed he was naked and then look at her body aswell, she 'tried' to cover it with her small paws while blushing.
"L-L-Look away Nick!" She stuttred while yelling.
"I am not even looking at you!" Nick said while his eyes were somewhere else avoiding the naked bunny beside his table.
Then a loud hissing noise was heard. They both looked at the source to see a door and an creature step out wearing in white hazmat suit and one followed suit, this time it was more tactical hazmat suit. Standing beside the door, guarding the entrance.
The human in white hazmat suit came in front of them, while Nick and Judy backed away from the human in fear as they hit the wall behind them.
"I see you two are awake. I mean no harm, I'm just here to check your conditions and some questions I want to ask." The human said to them calmly while it's voice was muffled by the gas mask.
Both Zootopians noticed the human's physical features and it's tone of voice, which they presume this was a male.
"Why did you 'hoomans' kidnapped us?" Nick said with the hint of venom on his voice while revealing his canine fangs.
The human on the other hand was slightly offended from Nick said to humanity.
"First of all. It's Humans, H-U-M-A-N-S or Homosapiens." The human said irritated.
"Then, why did you 'hoomans' kidnapped us?" Judy repeated Nick's questions.
The human was furious. He slammed both of his hands at Judy's table.
"I SAID HUMANS! H-U-M-A-N-S! HUMANS! DO YOU WANT TO REPEAT THE SPELLING AND PRONOUNCE?!" He yelled furiously to the two cowering sentient animals as they both slowly nodded.
"Sir. You should calmed your nerves sir, you might high blood." The guard reminded the scientist with the hint of sarcasm.
The human in white hazmat suit began to inhale and exhale to calmed his boiling nerves that was going to pop out.
"Tama ka. (You're right.)" He mumbled in his native language.
"Sir?"
"Nothing! Let's move on." He said while clapping both of his hands, which the duo was caught by surprise.
"Now. Answer my questions." He said while bringing out a clipboard.
Few minutes later
Outside of the room
After the duo answered the questions given by the human. The humans left the room without a word. On the other side of the room were two humans in military uniforms and some scientists working on their computers or monitoring the fox and the rabbit vital signs, they were watching and listening on the 2 animals in every move they make between the one way mirror.
They watch the Filipino scientist left the room followed by the guard.
"Sir. What do you think about them?" A man with a rank of colonel in mid 30's asked the American 3 star general beside him.
"They were either telling the truth or lie. On my opinion they were telling the truth, Col. Jackson." The 3 star general in mid 50's replied back to the Colonel named Jackson.
"So, this is the Zootopians?" A curious voice echoed behind the two man. Both of them looked behind them to see a certain Japanese man in a lab coat.
"Dr. Hiro!" Both high ranking personnel saluted at the Japanese scientist. While Dr. Hiro gave them a soft laugh.
"There's no need for saluting sons. I am not even a soldier but a scientist." Hiro said to them.
"Everyone under my command should be respected, either they were a soldier or not." The 3 star general said to Dr. Hiro with manner.
"I see. Thank you, Gen. Paul." He said to the 3 star general that was named Paul, while Paul nod in return.
Dr. Hiro step forward to the one way mirror with interest as he watch the two animals talk to each other. A man in lab coat beside him and hands him a clipboard containing the report of the answers from the two animals.
"How's the questioning. I assume everything goessmoothly? Dr. Escanor?" Hiro asked the man beside him.
"Everything is fine, except for nearly losing my temper at them." Dr. Escanor said to Hiro with a small laugh.
"On, what matter?" Hiro asked with curiousity without taking his eyes at the clipboard.
"Well. They keep repeating the 'hoomans' instead of humans." He said to his colleague, while Hiro laugh. The two scientists shared a long friendship ever since in the year of 2040.
Meanwhile the two high ranking military personnel was watching them silently, until a young German MP came in through the door and looked at the two uniformed individuals.
"Colonel Jackson and Heneral Paul." The young German MP greeted them with salute.
"At ease. What brings you here?" Gen. Paul asked.
"Sir. Gen. Stavenschov, Col. Ching and Gen. Schmidt wants to see youat the briefing room. Including you Col. Jackson." The MP said to them as the two American high ranking officers nod and left the room following the MP.
Meanwhile back at the Zootopians who were now standing at the floor and watching their reflection at the mirror.
"I bet this is a one way mirror." Judy mumbled.
"And I bet this is a interrogation room." After Nick said that he was nudge by Judy in the stomach.
"It was already is!" She said while crossing her arms and shaking her head with a chuckle.
Nick just laugh, then his stomach growled. Judy laugh then her own stomach growled too making her blush in embarrassment. As if in cue the same guard from earlier came from the door with a both tray of food and follow by another guard who was guarding the door.
They could see sunny side up eggs and strange long red with white stripes on it (Bacons), and bottles of water. Nick raised his paw.
"Is there any blue berries?" Nick asked, then received a punch in the shoulder by Judy.
"Stop asking for a request, slick. Be grateful we have something to eat." She said while sighed irritated, Nick just put his paws up in defeat.
They both continue to eat that was given by the humans.
Scene Change
Briefing room
In the room were other high ranking individuals were waiting for the two American high ranking officers who was now entered the room and was greeted by other high ranking officers from Russia, China and Germany.
"Good morning, gentlemen." Gen. Paul greets them as they greet back who stood up from their chairs and handshake them.
"Dobroye utro (Good morning)."
"Zhù nǐ zǎo ān (Good morning to you)."
"Guten Morgen (Good morning)."
Then all of them take to their respective chairs.
"Why did you call us for?" Col. Jackson asked mannerly.
"We detect unknown signal. South of Tri-Borrows." Col. Ching replied to his counterpart.
"We believed that this is an homing beacon, that suddenly give away it's position for unknown reasons." Gen. Schmidt said to them as he signal the men behind the windows as all of them shut the curtains down making the room dark and a projector was turned on.
It was a photage taken from a drone. It was a forest and in the middle of it was a strange structure that was resemble to an nuclear facility.
"This footage was taken 1 hour ago by our scout drone." Gen. Stavenschov said to them.
"So. We will asemble an team I presume?" Gen. Paul stated.
"Yes, but there is a additional to the unit." Col. Ching said then gestured his hand at the MP who was nod and opened the door to reveal a short Japanese man. The Japanese step forward and saluted.
"Col. Itaki of the JGSDF 56th Ranger Division at your service!"
The generals looked at Itaki amused by his professionalism, while some of them was surprised due to the fact that the Japanese Self-defense force sending it forces in a foreign soil, let alone an animal world. This is the first time the country of Japan sends their Self-defense forces in another world ever since the incident in 1992 U.N peacekeeping operation in Cambodia.
"At ease Colonel. Please take a seat, comrade." Stavenschov said to Itaki who nodded and take a seat beside Gen. Schmidt.
After everything was settled, all of them looked at Gen. Paul with interest as they wait for his next words.
"Now... We have to request authorization for this mission from Secretary General himself."
