A/N - Okay, this is where we get to see Naruto meet a few of Anko's friends and they each have their own opinions. I know it's going slow, but things are going to get better.
Naruto and Anko had grown so close to each other that the two of them couldn't be separated. It was as if they were created in this earth for each other. While she is his mother, it's assumed things would be different if he was born a few years earlier. The two of them had learned nearly everything about each other though Anko kept certain things a secret until Naruto was old enough to comprehend everything.
It was October eight, two days before Naruro's fifth birthday. While his previous birthday and the birthday before that were horrible. Anko promised Naruto that he would have the best birthday ever. Having been influenced by Anko, though he wasn't a ninja and didn't care to become one, he adapted his life style that followed his mother. Neither of them ever went back on their words.
Anko had decided that she would try and introduce Naruto to a few people she considered friends and wouldn't believe would judge Naruto. These people consisted of Hana Inuzuka, Yugao Uzuki, Itachi Uchiha, Shisui Uchiha, Izumi Uchiha, Izumo Kamizuki, Kotetsu Havane, Hayate Gekko, Genma Shiramui, Asuma Sarutobi, and finally, her best friend, Kurenai Yuhi. While they were much older than Naruto, she wanted to try and have him open up more. Ibiki, Shikaku along with his wife Yoshino, and their son Shikamaru would come. Inoichi and his daughter, Ino would come as well. While it was hopeful, Anko wanted the Hokage to come visit his adoptive grand son.
Naruto was a happy go lucky boy though he preferred to stay isolated from everyone. Having received daily beatings and near death experiences prior to his adoption, it taught him not to trust anyone. While Anko always preached the importance of having people you care about and trust, she also explained that sometimes, trusting the wrong person is worse than not trusting anyone. To help Naruto out with his people problems, Anko decided that she would introduce Naruto to them. As of right now, only The Hokage, Inoichi, Shikaku, and Ibiki new that Naruto had been adopted.
Anko had taken Naruto to the village gate where the two idiots, Kotetsu and Izumo were stationed on guard duty. The two were like brothers, liking nearly everything the other liked. Their bond was almost as strong as Naruto and Anko. When the two Mitarashi's arrived, the two chunin were surprised and asked Anko why she was on a babysitting D rank mission.
"You guys are idiots. This is my son, Naruto Mitarashi." Anko said. Naruto tried to hide behind his mother but she refused to let him hide. "It's okay Naruto. These people aren't going to hurt you." Anko said.
Kotetsu and Izumo couldn't believe that Anko Mitarashi, the village's psychopath was showing defection and emotions to a child that apparently was hers. "Hello Naruto." Said Izumo followed by Kotetsu.
"Naruro's birthday is in two days. You two can come if you want. However, If I find you two trying to corrupt my little viper, I will make sure you never have a little Kotetsu or Izumo ever in front of the village." Anko threatens with her sweet voice.
This made the chunin freeze up. The images of Anko following through with her promise had scarred them as they promised to never subject Naruto to such filth. Naruto waved goodbye as he and his mother left to go meet with another one of her friends.
"Those two were weird." Naruto commented which made Anko chuckle.
"That they are. However, they are two of the most kindest guys I've ever met. So they aren't too bad." Anko said as they entered a weapon shop to find another purple haired woman with a man that wore a cap similar to Ibiki. They had been looking at Katana swords when Naruto and Anko walked up.
"Look who it is." Said the purple haired woman while standing next to her partner. The man turned and was surprised to see Anko walking around with a kid.
"Hello Hayate, Yugao. I've come to introduce Naruto Mitarashi." Anko said though Naruto was hiding behind her again. This sight made Yugao chuckle.
"Hello Naruto. My name is Yugao Uzuki." Said Yugao as she gave a bright smile.
Glaring at the boy in front of him, suddenly, he grabbed Yugao's arm and informed the group they had to go. Confused, nobody understood why Hayate was acting like that. Naruto looked up at his mother and asked if he did something wrong.
"Naruto, you didn't do anything wrong." Anko said while glaring out the door.
"Okay, you have ten seconds to explain why you made such an ass out of yourself." Yugao said as she crossed her arms and glared at her boyfriend.
Hayate let out a small cough. "Can't you see it? That's the demon brat." Hayate declared.
Yugao's eyes opened wide. "Wait, he's the Jinchuriki of Kyuubi?" Yugao asked her boyfriend who nodded.
"Yes, we need to stay away from him and if Anko is involved with him somehow, we need to stay away from her." Hayate declared.
Yugao glared at her boyfriend with a disgusted look. "No... I think we need to stay away from you." Yugao said as she walked away.
This angered Hayate. He walked after he and though he was coughing, he declared that she was nothing but a demon lover. Yugao turned around and face her ex-boyfriend as she released her killing intent. Seeing that she was on edge, Hayate walked away.
Naruto was looking around the sword shop and pointed at one of the swords that caught his attention. "The Crimson Blade of the snake." The sign read. Naruto looked up at his mother. "Could I have it?" Naruto asked.
"Of course you can and I'll buy it for you." Said Yugao who re-entered the store.
"Where is Hayate at?" Anko asked with a confused tone in her voice.
"I don't associate with people who can't tell the difference between a kunai and a scroll." Yugao said with a wink.
Anko smirked at her friend before looking at Naruto. "Naruto, this is one of my close friends, Yugao Uzuki. She is a kenjutsu specialist. Do you know what that is?" Anko asked her son.
Naruto shook his head. "A kenjutsu specialist is someone who uses weapons mixed with their shinobi arts." Yugao explained.
"Yugao, Naruro's birthday is on October tenth. Would you like to come by and help us celebrate?" Anko asked.
Yugao smiled. "Yes, that's no problem. Naruto, would you like this sword for your birthday?" Yugao asked.
Naruto, only receiving gifts from the Hokage and Anko, was unsure. He looked at his mom who gave a nod. Naruto gave a bow. "Thank you Miss Yugao, that would be an excellent birthday gift." Naruto said in a respectful tone.
Yugao chuckled. "No need for formalities. Just call me Yugao." Yugao said with a smile.
Naruto nodded and both he and Anko had them left the store where they would go meet another of Anko's friends. As they walked, Naruto kept talking about wanting to learn how to create weapons.
"Creating weapons Huh? I think that would be an interesting career path." Anko commented.
"Not as a career, but more of a hobby. If I had to select a career path, I would just sell Dango. You would make me into a multi billionaire." Narutk said with a bright smile.
Anko laughed. "You're probably right though I'm afraid you would eat the Dango before it got sold." Anko jokes with her son.
The two arrived outside the Uchiha compound because it was on their way to the next destination. Standing before them, two young men with the Uchiha crest on the back of their shirts were talking. The symbol reminded Naruto when he was beaten half to death by similar people.
Anko saw this and held her son's hand tight. "Don't worry Naruto. These are my friends and I'm sure they will like you." Anko said.
"But the other guy didn't. He looked angry with me. I hope I didn't cause you to lose a friend." Naruto said as he hung his head in shame until Anko dropped down to her knees.
"Naruto, if someone can't accept you, then Indon't want them to be my friend. You are the number one person in my world and I wouldn't trade you for all the Dango in the world." Anko said.
Naruto hugged his mother tightly. Being chosen over Dango from Anko was a compliment worth more than anything. As Naruto cheered up, they were greeted by a boy around the age of Anko.
"So, this is the famous Naruto Mitarashi?" Asked the boy.
Anko narrow her eyes. "I guess Root doesn't miss anything." Anko said. "Naruto, this is Shisui Uchiha." Anko said to her son.
Naruto gave a bow. "Hello Mister." Naruto said but was cut off.
"Tell Fugaku that. Just call me Shisui." The boy said with a bright smile similar to Naruto's smile.
Naruto smiled back and nodded. The two made eye contact for what felt like hours and to Naruto, it felt like he knew Shisui his whole life and felt a level of comfort.
"Shisui, do you want to come to my birthday on the tenth?" Naruto asked which shocked Anko.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world. I'll even see if I can bring Itachi. God knows he needs to become more social." Shisui said.
Naruto smiled brightly. "Thanks a ton Shisui!" Naruto said as the boy vanished from sight. Both Naruto and Anko continued walking.
"When did you meet Shisui?" Anko asked as Naruto was sitting on her shoulders.
"I didn't. It just felt like I've known him my entire life. He is different from the others." Naruto pointed out and Anko nodded.
Not far from the Inuzuka compound, Anko noticed that Tsune Inuzuka, the current clan head was training both her son who was around Naruro's age and her daughter that was a bit older. They were being shown the techniques in which the Inuzuka work with their ninja hounds. Having smelled the presence of a Fox and Snake, Tsune called her children to take a break while she greeted the desk.
"Hello Anko, and is this baby Naruto?" Tsune asked the young blond.
"I'm not a baby! I'm four years old! About to be five!" Naruto declared.
"Settle down." Anko said while ruffling his hair. "Tsune, I was on my way over here to see if Hana wanted to meet Naruto. I didn't realize your son was about his age. Would you like for them to meet?" Anko asked.
Tsune smiled at Anko and nodded. The two followed the Inuzuka clan head inside the compound where a boy was laying back with his ninja hound on his chest as they watched the clouds.
"Be careful Kiba, some people may mistake you for a Nara with how lazy you are." Hana said to her brother.
"No way! I'm way cooler than the Nara clan." Kiba declared before noticing two guest.
"Kiba, Hana. This is Naruto Mitarashi. He's Anko's son." Tsune said wit a smile.
Noticing his whisker marks, Hana rushed at the boy and began petting them which made Naruto purr. This action caused Tsune and Anko to go wide eye along with Hana. Naruto made an annoyed face while his cheeks went red.
"Please stop touching my face!" Naruto declared and the three women laughed.
"Kiba, please meet Naruto. I believe you two are about the same age." Tsune said.
The boy walked up to Naruto and when they went to bow, they slammed into each other's head. Both boys let out cries of pain while their parents were laughing at their antics.
"These kids are a trip. But anyway, I was looking to see if you, Hana, and Kiba wanted to come by on tenth for Naruto's birthday?" Anko asked the Inuzuka clan head.
"Of course we would." Tsune said as she watched her son introduce Naruto to Akamaru, his personal ninja hound that Naruto found to be exciting.
"Mom! I want a ninja hound!" Naruto called out which made the two mothers laugh.
"Sorry pup, I don't think a hound would be your calling. Maybe something like a fox or a snake." Tsune said before stopping.
Anko informed her it was okay and that while she loved her son to death, he wasn't that bright when it came to such things.
Naruto, Kiba, and Akamaru played for about three hours while Anko spoke with Hana. Watching the two boys play reminded them of their days as children. Though, in their day, it was the middle of war and so playing wasn't as common.
"Alright Naruto, we have three more people to meet. Come on." Anko called.
Naruto smirked at Kiba. "I'll see you later Kiba. Maybe we could hang out sometime!" Naruto said.
"Yeah! That would be cool! I'll see you later!" Kiba called out and the two fist bumped before Naruto ran toward his mother.
"It looks like someone made a friend." Anko said with a teasing smile.
Naruto ignored it and nodded with a bright smile. Yes! I think Kiba and I are going to be best friends." Naruto declared.
Anko was surprised but figured that Naruto would consider any of his friends his best friends. As they walked toward a man who was chewing on his senbon, he noticed Naruto and couldn't believe how much he looked like the fourth Hokage.
"If it isn't the Mitarashi duo. What do I owe the pleasure?" Genma asked in a lazy tone.
"As high spirited as ever it seems. We were just out and heading to meet with Kurenai and Asuma. But since we ran into you, I was looking to see if you would like to come by on the tenth to celebrate Naruto's fifth birthday." Anko said.
Genma smirked at the boy in front of him and ruffled his hair. "I might stop by. If I don't have any missions, I'll definitely come." Genma said.
Naruto smiled and nodded at the chunin. The two proceeded toward the Sarutobi compound where Anko figured she would find her best friend. As the two entered through the front gates, Asuma and Kurenai sitting down, watching television.
"Yo!" Anko called out. Asuma, a man with a beard and a cigarette looked over and was shocked to see Anko. Kurenai smiled until she noticed the young boy with her.
"I guess Lord Hokage has you on baby sitting duty?" Asked Kurenai in a teasing tone.
Anko smirked. "Nah, this is my son. Naruto Mitarashi." Anko said and Naruto bowed to both Asuma and KurenI.
"Pleasure." Asuma said as he glanced at Naruto before going back to Anko. He was aware of what Naruto held and though he knew that Naruto wasn't the demon, his girlfriend thought otherwise.
"Anko, is that him?" Kurenai asked in a concerned tone. After receiving a nod from Anko, both her and Asuma were shocked to see Kurenai charge at Naruto with a kunai. "Die demon!" Kurenai shouted.
Being like a snake, Anko was able to place her hand in the way which led to her being stabbed. Asuma was able to gather distance between Kurenai and the kid. "Kurenai! What the hell?" Asuma asked as he dropped his cigarette.
"That boy is a demon! He killed so many of our family members. He even killed your mother Asuma!" Kurenai shouted.
Naruto froze and to Anko's anger, she noticed that he wet him self out of fear. Anko glared at her former best friend. "Kurenai... If you ever touch my sim again. I'll kill you." Anko threatens with a glare and tone used only for one particular ninja she swore to kill.
Without uttering another word, Anko took her son and they went home. Naruto refused to speak along with refusing to eat. Anko had an entire war with getting him to take a bath and change his clothes. While sitting in the tub, Naruto's mind was racing.
"Why did she call me a demon? Was she really going to kill me?" Naruto asked himself. He ignored Anko entering the bathroom and sitting on the toilet seat.
"What did I say about when we have problems?" Anko asked as she rested her chin in her hand.
"We talk about it so I don't go crazy and slaughter the village and become a rogue ninja that's wanted in all five great nations." Naruto said. He then looked at his mother. "Why did that lady try to attack me?" Naruto asked.
Anko sighed. "Some people tend to get others confused with certain people. You just reminded her of someone who hurt her family many years ago. I'm sure once she calms down, things will be different." Anko explained.
"Wasn't she your best friend?" Naruto asked. Anko gave him a silent nod. "I'm sorry that I costed you your best friend." Naruto said as he lowered his head.
"Naruto, you're my best friend. I would trade every single person we met today for you." Anko said with a smile.
Hearing this made Naruto smile back at his mother and he gave her a big hug. "Thanks mom. I love you." Naruto said as he gave Anko a big kiss on the cheek.
"I love you too, Naruto." Anko said as she wrapped him up with a towel.
Once Naruto had been dried off, he and Anko sat down at the dinner table where they would be eating their dinner. Since Anko learned that Dango and ramen can stunt a child's true growth, she cooked up some fish along with some veggies for herself. Since Naruto wouldn't eat the veggies, she created a special kind of drink that Naruto loved and it would allow him to gain the extra nutrients.
"Mom, this is so good!" Naruto declared while chowing down in his fish and drinking his veggie drink.
Anko chuckled in amusement. "I'm glad you like it." Anko said while taking a sip of her water. Awhile back, Narutk and Anko agreed she wouldn't drink any sake of Naruto couldn't have any. While it annoyed her, she decided that it would be a good idea to remove the influence anyway.
As they ate, a knock on the door could be heard. Getting curious, Anko proceeded and opened the door only to find Itachi Uchiha.
"Itachi'? Why are you here?" Anko asked as she looked around.
"I've come to apologize for not being able to show up to young Naruro's birthday. However, I've come wishing to meet him and give him a gift." Itachi said in a low tone.
Though Anko was a little skeptical because she was over protective with Naruto. "Alright, but I'm warning you, I don't play when it comes to Naruto." Anko threatened.
"I understand. I'm the same way with Sasuke." Itachi said while giving a warm smile. The two proceeded to the kitchen where Naruto looked up and was confused at the sight before him.
"Who is he?" Naruto asked as he gave an annoyed look at Itachi.
"Hello Naruto. My name is Itachi Uchiha. I'm a great friend of Shisui." Itachi said as he gave a slight bow.
"Why are you here?" Naruto asked.
"I've come to formally introduce myself and inform you that I'll be unable to attend your birthday on the tenth. However, I do have a gift for you." Itachi said as he pulled out a scroll.
"What is that?" Naruto asked as he was eyeing the scroll.
"I'm aware that you aren't interested in being a shonobi, but you showed an interest in weapon crafting. In this scroll are the basics behind forging a weapon along with the different metals used. By the time you finished and learned everything in this scroll, you'll be ready to physically produce the material." Itachi explained.
Anko smiled at her son. "Well, there you go! Naruto, you are able to start learning how to create your weapons so you can sell them." Anko declared.
Naruto nodded and smiled. "Thank you Itachi. This is a really nice gift and I am forever grateful for this." Naruto said but he didn't give a bow, he gave Itachi a hug.
This action caught the Uchiha heir off guard but decided to give Naruto a soft par on the back. . "I'm glad you like it. Alright, I must be on my way. I look forward to seeing your growth, Naruto." Itachi said as he exited the apartment.
Naruto and Anko resumed eating and when they finished, Naruto placed his scroll inside of Anko's work bag. When she asked why he put it there, Naruto explained that he wanted to study it tomorrow but didn't to forget it at home. Anko nodded and while Naruto proceeded to the bed, Anko had gone into the shower.
While she stood underneath the steaming water and relaxing her body, Naruto entered the room. Most men would have died from shock at seeing Anko's naked body along with nearly passing out. However, Naruto acted like it was nothing.
"What's up Naruto?" Anko called out as she looked at through the clear curtains.
"What's chakra?" Naruto asked in a tone that surprised Anko.
"We will talk about it tomorrow. Go lay down, okay?" Anko asked and Naruto nodded.
Anko dried off and put her pajamas on that consisted of a pair of black panties and a large white shirt. She soon crawled into bed where she could smile at seeing the sleeping four year old with his stuffed crimson serpent around his neck. She pulled her sleeping son next to her as she fell into a deep sleep.

- I wanted to have some people such as Hayate and Kurenai not like the boy. I also wanted to give Naruto a friend his age being Kiba.
