Their teacher's name will be found out this chapter, so all I will say is NO, it has nothing to do with Naruto. I literally just found the name online and thought it sounded good.

As always,

Enjoy!

17: An Unexpected Way Of Healing

The moment Kagome had been tested as Rin held her protectively, Koga was found guilty and sent to a special prison. This special prison had been made by the combined fundings of the demon lords due to the fact that they fully comprehended that their existence had to be kept a secret from the world at large for the safety of their brethren in the new day and age. There were demons in law-force that would take the detained demon to a demonic judge to be given a punishment.

Before Koga had been sent off, he had been forced to remove his mark off of Kagome under pain of death, to which he did out of the fear out of his own pathetic life that the judge had been tempted to have killed anyway for all of the trouble that he had caused the angelic lass. Everyone in the demon world that knew of her, adored and respected Kagome, so the judge had almost done it until the wolf's father paid for his idiotic son to just be sent to prison for a very long time.

Now being back in school two months later, Kagome quietly asked to be moved to a different desk that had been away from Tōga and Koga's old desk. Obliging with ease, he looked down at the announcement and noticed that this person's personality might help, only to move two people from the front to relocate them. Once Kagome took a seat, the teacher cleared his throat to not startle Kagome before calling out, "We seem to have a new student joining us in class today!"

Right then, a male the same height as Tōga entered, but he acted in quite the opposite manner. This male was a looker with his creamy and unblemished skin, held muscles everywhere, adorned icy crystal blue eyes with silver streaks that shimmered with a sea of silent nervous, his majority of short white locks that were wild and untamed with semi-long portions to frame his regal and noble face held a long low ponytail that reached his thigh that couldn't be seen unless he moved.

"Alright young man, would you like to introduce yourself?" The teacher smiled, only for this male, who appeared as if he had been in far too many wars, to jump slightly, "O-Oh... I-I..." Right then his eyes shifted to see Tōga of all people in his class, making him swallow heavily, "I-I... well..." - "Son, your name will just be fine," the teacher gently chuckled, making him nod, "M-My name is... is Haru." Chuckling, the teacher then motioned next to Kagome, "There's your seat son."

Shifting those silver-streaked icy blue orbs over, he then nodded before walking forward with shaky hands, making Tōga smirk as he snickered out, "Try to not pass out or cry, you sissy." Considering Tōga was a popular, what he said... was automatically funny. With the class now laughing at the handsome "young" man, Haru swiftly sat down and shot his head down with tears dripping to his desk. Kagome shifted her head over to see this and frowned as the teacher sighed.

"Tōga, please tone down your prince of the school's attitude down, I would like to get started with the lesson now," the teacher scolded, making the great dog demon of the west snicker and hold his hands up, "Of course sir, I apologize." Haru then further lowered his head, making Tōga grin at this sissy of a man until taking in a deep breath. This bastard... was a WOLF. The moment Haru wiped his eyes and slightly turned his head back, he noticed the satanic look held on Tōga's face.

Sighing, the teacher nodded, "Right, everyone, please open your textbooks to chapter five. Haru, have you been taught any of this yet?" Haru then nervously shook his head at the answer, "N-No sir." This only made the teacher to give that gentle smile to relax this extremely timid, yet rather well-built, young man before nodding, "Right, then I am going to have... hmm..." As he looked around, he noticed Tōga pulling his pinky finger from his ear out of boredom, "Tōga, you will help Haru."

"No offense Mister Katashi... but why would I want to do that? I have better things to do old man," the former ruler of the west rudely exclaimed in an all-too bored tone of voice, making the teacher groan at how much of an asshole this student, who had also been one of his favorites at one time, of his had become through the passage of the school year. Internally groaning, Katashi then rolled his shoulders, "If that's how you feel, then I will say... Kagome, would you mind helping?"

Peering up, she then shook her head as her soft tone jingled out, "No sir, no complaints. I will help him catch up on all of the work we have accomplished so that they are to your standards." Good lord Katashi adored Kagome, making him smile at her softly, "Just do your best dear. Don't push yourself too hard," pausing to see her nod, he then continued, "Now then, we delve deeper into the reign of Lord InuTaisho and angel topic. It was said long ago that there was a war waged..."

'Yeah, there were plenty of damn wars... you dunce.' Tōga internally groaned and growled until Katashi continued, "In this war, it was said that this angel was harmed to the point that she lost all memory, including on how to fight. Now, Tōga, since you seem to be in a chatty mood today, what do you believe Lord InuTaisho did to help the angel afterwards?" Tōga's face scrunched up at this to try remembering. He... he couldn't remember for once, making him sigh, "I-I'm not sure..."

That was shocking to say the least, so he nodded, "Haru, any thoughts?" Haru looked up with clear panic, "I... I..." taking a deep breath, he then answered somewhat evenly, "I-I could be wrong, but, wouldn't the most logical answer be to find her help?" Interest peaked, Katashi then motioned for the "young" man to continue, "In what manner? Can you elaborate?" Haru could feel those golden eyes piercing the back of his head, making him far more nervous, "Well... I-I... uh... um..."

"Hopefully it was not additional stutter therapy that would make the poor angel gain a stutter," the dog demon scoffed aloud, disrupting class once more to make everyone, except Kagome, laugh to the point that he lowered his head. Katashi had enough of this, so he snapped his eyes towards Tōga, "That's it... Tōga, please head to the principal's office. I will be seeing you for detention for one hour after school." This made his eyes widen in shock since he had never been given detention.

Growling angrily, he then stood up abruptly before barking out, "What in the hell?! I got you into the Western Palace for FREE! I also let you read all of those important ancient documents!" - "And on that very same trip, you allowed for all of those misfortunes to befall your sister, and you also abandoned her when she was clearly in need of your help to get out of such a situation. Since then, you've acted no different than Koga. Your sister even asked to be moved away from you! NOW, GO!"

Grabbing his things, he began walking out, only for it to be in slow motion as he passed Katashi as he whispered out with a fanged grin, "Now... I wonder how it is that I know so much about InuTaisho. Place the puzzle pieces together within your mortal mind," that slow motion only happened the moment Tōga's eyes flashed crimson a moment as he gave that grin, making Katashi's eyes widen immensely the moment he slightly felt the immeasurable power radiating from this "teenager".

Great, just great, now she had to erase Tōga's fuck up. Kagome then stood up abruptly and grabbed his hair as she discreetly waved her hand in front of her teacher's eyes before snapping her fingers so that he would only remember sending Tōga to the principal and giving him detention. Dragging him out of the room, Kagome then wiped a few tears from her face over how accurate her teacher's words had been, only to choke out through a sob, "Just do as you are told for once."

Composing herself, she then turned away and entered the class again before bowing to her teacher deeply while tears dripped to the ground, "P-Please... forgive my brother Mister Katashi. I-I will be sure to have our parents scold him once we get home." Katashi could hear her crying and frowned deeply, for what he had said... had probably hurt Kagome the most, "Kagome, I am sorry that I just brought up those painful memories dear. Take a seat, you aren't accountable for his actions."

Walking back to her seat, she could feel her entire class's eyes of pity shot towards her, minus one who wasn't even looking - Haru. Sitting down, she was now the one frantically trembling, making Katashi sigh and frown even deeper as he thought, 'How much more insensitive could I have been? Kagome is still hurting over this, and I just put her in one painful position.' Releasing another breath, Katashi then turned away from his class, "The rest of the class is now a free period."

The next day came far too soon. With everyone waking up, Kagome had already left an hour before everyone else to catch up on all of the work she hadn't done. Arriving at a stoplight, her sky-blue eyes lifted in surprise the moment she witnessed Haru on a motorcycle that was black, silver, and icy-blue at a different stoplight while practicing ways to speak... normally. This, for some reason, lifted her mood and made her giggle, which made his head snap up before blushing.

Waving gently towards him, she then watched the light turn green before hitting the throttle and zooming off. Haru was just about to wave back until he noticed Tōga glaring at him from right behind the angel, who had no clue that he was even there. Parking and kicking the stand down, Kagome then brushed her hair, pulled her riding gloves and jacket off, only to toss both into her storage unit as Haru pulled in far away from her due to Tōga menacingly standing right behind her.

"Kagome," his furious tone rang out in the silence that the air held, making her jump in such a startled manner that she fell to the ground with terrified eyes. You didn't do that with her... and he knew that already. Covering her ears while trembling, he rolled his eyes and lifted her in an almost uncaring manner, "T-Tōga, stop it! You're really hurting me!" Although he could clearly see and hear as to what was happening, Haru didn't exactly know what he could, or even should, do.

He wasn't meant for a world like this. A world like this terrified him. There were far too many uncertainties. Back when he was the cold and calculating ruling arctic wolf leader of the arctic northern snowy mountains, or, just the north, he was well composed, held few emotions pertaining love, feared, a battle-hardened skilled warrior, and a loyal ally to the west - he held at least a few certainties then. Such as always carry your blade, keep sharp eyes, and always be ready for an attack.

Haru, although he was a loyal ally to the west, couldn't even see or comprehend that this man harming his "sister" was InuTaisho. All he could tell was that this was a daiyokai... and a strong one at that. Hearing a rather loud slap, Haru cringed before Kagome dashed by him, only to hear the spitting of blood and grumbling from the great dog demon who was now giving him a damn panic attack since he was approaching, only to growl out, "If you place a hand on her, you will die."

Dashing inside of the school with sweat dripping from his face over that, he couldn't believe how much of a weakling he had become, considering if this had been the old times, he would have straight up challenged the person with his intimidating cold gaze before making them a bloodied heap on the ground to be left for dead. Releasing a heavy internal sigh over the entire matters as his shoulders slumped, Haru then entered the library to see Kagome's sky-blue orbs skimming over work.

Blushing softly, he knew that she was supposed to be tutoring him, but he sat at a completely different table and opened up his text book at chapter one to begin reading, only for his silver-streaked icy blue eyes to subtly glance up to her every so often to marvel at those dazzling eyes that currently had no clue he was even in there. Again, in the past, he had a presence that you absolutely couldn't miss no matter how hard you tried, but now... he was a ghost that wasn't worth noticing.

Out of nowhere, his sharp ears picked up on her agitated huff, "Thank god he's too stupid to check the library of all places..." For some reason, this made Haru release a soft chuckle that had her slowly turning her head towards him with a gentle smile that seemed so pure, so untainted, and so loving. Shooting his head down with a deep blush, he now wished he couldn't hear because she was walking up to him, making him think frantically, 'Shit, she's coming over here! What do I do?!'

Again, this was a first. Women used to fawn left and right over him... and he would happily take those women to bed as long as they met his own personal criteria when it came to women. Hearing those steps stop, Haru peered up innocently and was about to speak until her eyes grew wide and she swiftly tackled him so that they were under the table, only to mask both of them entirely, making him blush furiously and nervously question out after gulping, "Wha-What are you d-doing?"

She then placed a single finger over his lips to obviously silence him, making him turn an even brighter red. It really wasn't helping that he could feel all of her curves, smell her intoxicating scent, and see those magical appearing eyes that stole the sky that kept his focus. Tōga then slammed the door open while growling furiously, "Dammit Kagome, where are you?!" He ran through the library quickly, only to see and smell no one, making him far more enraged than he truly should be.

He then came to a slow stop right in front of the table the two were currently beneath. Kagome then mouthed "don't say a word", making him nod so lightly that nothing could be heard. As she awkwardly laid on this man, Kagome, albeit nervous to even be this close to a man that she was "unaccustomed" to being around, used her hand to brush his long portion of bangs to the side to notice a single arctic blue streak in his hair that he had been masterfully hiding, making her smile softly.

Blushing at how angelic her face appeared, Haru had to swiftly cover her mouth the moment she almost released one of those church bell sounding giggles at his embarrassment. It was taking so long for Tōga to leave that she was bound to never get any of her work done. Placing a hand over her throat, she internally spoke the spell before hurling a glowing ball that was light blue far out of the school, making her silently snicker the moment her voice rang out in a panic, "Tōga, help me!"

Tōga's eyes widened at the plea for help and dashed almost instantly. Once far away enough, Kagome burst into laughter and helped him off of the ground, "Sorry about that Haru." Haru gave a soft rumble of laughter in his chest over that little trick just played on her "brother" as he stood up to tower over her, only for her to sit across from him, "Alright, let's get ya caught up to the rest of the class!" Blushing, he then nodded, "T-Thank you for going through the trouble Kagome."

By the then, the two packed up their backpacks due to it now being time to head to class, the angel smiled and chirped out sweetly, "You think you've got it?" Nodding his head, he then smiled with a gentle blush caressing his cheeks over how beautiful that he truly believed her to be once he gave his bashful reply, "Y-Yeah." With that, Haru and Kagome began walking side-by-side while talking before entering the classroom and taking their seats so that they could learn something new.

Peering back as the bell rang, Kagome noticed that InuTaisho wasn't there and internally tapped her chin while thinking to herself, 'I didn't throw it that hard and far... did I?' Well, she was sure that he would be here sooner or later. In all honesty, she was now being smothered by both Tōga and Sesshōmaru so badly that some freedom actually felt nice for a change. By the time the door slammed open, half of the class had already gone by as Tōga stood there heaving like a madman.

"Well, well... How very nice of you to join us Tōga. Go and take your seat now." Katashi dryly exclaimed as he used a piece of chalk to continue writing on the blackboard, only for Tōga to shoot daggers towards Kagome as he walked to his seat before sitting down in an exhausted fashion. Katashi then turned around and spoke out, "As for the lecture we were having yesterday... Haru, I expect that you have an answer for me now?" Haru's head then shot up and nervously bit his lip.

Ringing his hands together nervously, Haru then spoke, "Y-Yes sir. I-I claimed that s-she would need h-help, but never s-specified as t-to how. Per-Perhaps the lord of l-lands brought s-someone in to h-help the angel t-train... and by doing s-so, her m-memories were s-somehow regained...?" Tōga then scoffed heavily and rolled his eyes, "Right, because everyone who holds amnesia needs to simply train to regain lost memories. If that were the case, why isn't it done more often?"

Haru then glanced back to meet Tōga's furious gaze as Katashi snapped his fingers, "Correct Haru! It is said that once the angel was strong enough to stand on her own again, lord InuTaisho brought in another lord that was rather cold to help train that angel to at least have the capabilities of fighting again! It was also said that by doing so, that once cold lord not only began to soften up to her, but he also fell in love with the angel! However, the angel then began returning those feelings!"

Tapping the chalk to the chalkboard, Katashi then noticed the two teens looking at one another, only to continue speaking through a gentle sigh, "Now, it was said that through pure jealousy, lord InuTaisho then attacked this other lord, whose name is not recorded in the pages of history, was almost killed until the angel jumped in front of him so that InuTaisho's hand pierced her chest, only for him to claim - If I cannot have your love, then no one can. For only I can hold your heart."

Kagome nudged Haru, who then turned back around, only for Katashi to continue with his lecture, "So, it is speculated that this was when her heart was truly taken. This angel, who held no memories at that point, had her heart ripped out due to the jealousy lord InuTaisho held over her having feelings for someone else. However, at that time, lord InuTaisho already held the other woman in his life." Haru then peered back at Tōga again to witness those daggers shooting towards him still.

Quickly snapping his head back forward and noticeably trembling now, Kagome frowned and raised her hand, "Sir...? Can you give me a moment?" Once he noticed her shifting her eyes over, he then smiled and nodded, "Of course Kagome, take your time." Gracefully standing up, she then gently took Haru's hand, making him jump slightly before peering up as she softly spoke, "C'mon Haru..." Tōga instantly slammed his hands on his desk, "Kagome, enough! Are you wanting a repeat?!"

Ignoring him, she then helped Haru up and walked out of the room without saying a single thing. She could tell he was so stressed out, that any moment, his demonic attributes would pop out, so she took him outside since everyone was in class, "You can calm down Haru." Her sparkling wings and tails then popped out, making her wink before hiding them again. He gained a mortified expression at that, "You... You are her... T-The one m-my cousin bragged about f-forcing. T-The angel."

Too stressed out now, his long white fluffy tail popped out. Kagome's eyes then dulled at that until Haru began softly crying, "I-I told him that i-it was wrong f-for him to h-hurt you!" This made Kagome smile sadly before finally giggling softly, "What happened... happened. However, an arctic wolf, huh? You're pretty cute, and your tail is so fluffy! Unlike your imprisoned cousin, I actually like you. We have many things in common... such as fearing the world and all of the people in it."

Sitting down, Haru then held his trembling tail to him as he lowered his head, "M-My family... i-is so desperate to have you i-in my f-family that they first s-sent Koga because I-I'm so nervous... but, I-I regret not coming first." Crouching down in front of him, she then looked at his muscular build, only to blink rapidly the moment she witnessed a single earring holding a crystal the same color as his eyes dangling, "Hey... wait a second... I know you." This made him nervously tilt his head.

Right then, it hit her... and it hit her hard, considering she then blurted out, "No way it's possible... HARUKA?!" Jumping at the sudden shout, he then nodded wide eyed as if he were a cat that had just been tossed inside of a bath, "Ye-Yeah? How do you know my actual name?" This made her laugh brightly while playing with his ponytail, "You got the nickname "Haru" from me, ya dork! We were in the middle of training, and I got so frustrated that I shortened your name to just be Haru!"

Giving a teasing face, Kagome then added in, "At first you were so stubborn, rude, and carried yourself so well. After one battle that you did not attend, I lost a lot of my memories of how to fight. Tōga was so busy that when all of the lords came for a conference, he asked you to help me. You detested the job, and I sassed you as often as I possibly could... but... you were there for me. I remember telling you that I would rather you be around and hate me, at least then I wasn't alone."
