Do I dare go manga route and properly change the Kaneki names?

Tooooo many names when searching Japanese twin names for boys AUGH

Kanou's house...

"Scientists have so many ways to torture so...with no Yamori in the mix, how shall we play out the tormenting?" wonders Yuno noticing the slightly opened basement door.

"That's off limits!" says Kanou getting infront of the door to fully close it.

"What's off limits? Your basement filled with fun toys? If there's only one toy, it'll have to do. Let's see how you tinkered with the sun to turn it into a eclipse of his former self. When the sun appears in darkness a frightening eclipse appears except the eclipse cant have the sun and moon separate. Happy vibrant man becomes rude and uncaring to those he had close. Demons can only put on a facade for so long." says Yuno eager to open the door.

Ghoul prison room...

'I will grant the Kanekis a way to walk around the building. Only 1 condition, you need names we can freely call you. And I dont mean ghoul names Hide was forced into by Murade. Call it what you want but treat like protective services when my subordinates are around. One of you will act as my son after all.' says a familiar voice that cares yet doesnt.

"To what exactly?" wonders Ken2.

"We cant have 2 ghouls with the same name roaming the building." says Arima stopping infront of Ken 1.

"We like our names as they are. I dont plan on changing a thing." says Ken 1.

"You will if you want to live under my rules bug anomaly." says Arima.

"Define new names Reaper?" wonders Ken 1 annoyed.

"I will let you choose names that are twin friendly yet wont confuse my workers. Fair?" says Arima.

Everything went quiet.

"Do we have a deal boys?" wonders Arima.

"I told the pinkette and black haired male I wanted to keep my name." says Ken 1.

"You are, just not around the workers. Now come with me to my office." says Arima opening the twins' cells.

Soon Cain was the only ghoul left in the prison room.

'WHAT THE HELL!?' wonders Cain furiously.

Arima's office...

After putting two chairs infront of his desk, Arima sat down and motioned for the Kanekis to sit down.

"Let's start with Ichiro & Jiro. Ichiro means "first son" and Jiro means "second son"." says Arima placing a loose-leaf paper and pencil down.

"We aren't actually related." say the twins.

"Yet it sounds about right given cycle clause." says Arima.

"Pass." say the Kanekis.

"Genkei & Keisuki? Genkei means "to be honored" while the Japanese name Keisuki means "save"." says Arima.

There was contemplative silence between the twins.

"Genkei sounds like a black haired me name but we don't see ourselves as honorable. Saving speaks me though if I were to be Keisuki." says Ken 1.

Ken 2 awkwardly nodded.

Arima jots down '1:Genkei meaning 'to be honored' and Keisuki meaning 'save''.

"That's one possibilty. Moving on, Kenji & Kota. Kota means "happiness" while Kenji means "strong"." says Arima.

"Happiness...funny." says Ken 1 frowning.

"Technically happiness speaks Hide but I had the better life more or less." says Ken 2 looking at Ken 1.

"Fine. I'd be Kenji and he'd be Kota if we are keeping the first letter of our names." huffs Ken 1.

Arima jots down '2:Kota meaning 'happiness' and Kenji meaning 'strong''.

"That's 2 down. Onto the next 2, Kenshin & Shinobu. Shinobu means "stealth" or "to endure". Kenshin means "modest" or "believe"." says Arima eyeing the uneasy and irritated duo.

"Shinobu would be me in this case." says Ken 1.

"Making Kenshin me since it has Ken in the name." mumbles Ken 2.

"That's 3 down now. '3:Shinobu meaning 'stealth or to endure' and Kenshin meaning 'modesty or believe''.

"Any suggestions boys? If not, I can keep questioning twin names." says Arima.

"Continue as is." mutters Ken 1.

"Continue on." mumbles Ken 2.

"Alright, Emihiko & Yukio? Emihiko, depending on the kanji used it can mean 'laugh', 'river' or 'ocean' combined with 'man of wit and virtue' or 'light'. Yukio, this short and cute boy name means 'snow' or 'snow boy'." says Arima.

"Yukio? Yukio!? I have snow white hair but thats all." grumbles Ken 1.

"I may go to a river to read at times but ummmm..." mumbles Ken 2 looking away.

"Oooooh boy boys." huffs Arima.

"Kioshi & Kishi. Kioshi, perfect for a little boy, it means 'silent, quiet' or 'bright light, shining, clear' depending on the Kanji used. Kishi, primarily a gender-neutral Japanese name meaning 'beach, seashore'." says Arima.

"You want us to strangle you don't you?" wonders Ken 1.

"How about this spelling for the first name then? Kiyoshi & Hiroshi. Kiyoshi, such a cute sounding name and it means 'pure', 'bright, shining' 'clear', or 'quiet child'. Hiroshi, a very popular Japanese baby boy name, it means 'generous' or 'prosperous person'." says Arima leaning back.

"Quiet being black haired me...generous being what seemed like me till I went savage kakuja on everyone." mutters Ken 1.

"We can do this all day and waste valuable Hide time." says Arima quirking a smile.

"Fuck you." growls Ken 1.

Arima ignored the angry aura jotting down '4:Kiyoshi meaning 'pure, bright shining, clear, or quiet child' and Hiroshi meaning 'generous prosperous person'.

"You might hate this but there are 2 meanings in this case. Ryuichi & Ryuji. Ryuichi, this unique Japanese boy name means 'first son' or 'dragon'. Ryuji, this cool name combines the kanji for 'dragon' and 'second'." says Arima.

"Dragons? Us as dragons? What part of us is dragonic?" wonders Ken 1 raising an eyebrow.

"That's up to you 2." says Arima.

"Since we are talking dragons, Tatsuya & Mitsuya. Tatsuya, depending on the kanji can mean 'master, to be', 'master/accomplished, arrow' or 'dragon, to be'. Mitsuya, this name combines the kanji for 'three', 'stars', and 'valley'." says Arima.

"Way to many names to go through." says Ken 1.

"To many to ponder." says Ken 2.

"Ok, 2 more suggestions then I'll let you point to the set of names." says Arima.

The twins nodded.

"Yukio & Yasuhiro. Yukio, this cute baby name means 'snow boy'. Yasuhiro, this beautiful and uncommon boy name means 'peace, quiet' combined with 'center, middle'. Wakato & Wataru. Wakato, this uncommon boy name means 'young one'. Wataru, this name means to 'navigate, cross over', 'increase', 'finish'." says Arima.

Arima jotted the last 3 options down before giving the boys a chance to speak. '5:Ryuichi meaning 'first son or dragon' and Ryuji meaning 'dragon and second'. '6:Tatsuya meaning 'master to be, master/accomplished arrow, or dragon to be' and Mitsuya meaning 'three, stars and valley'. '7:Yukio meaning 'snow boy' and Yasuhiro meaning 'peace, quiet, center, middle'.

"7 twin names ought to be enough to ponder over." says Arima setting the pencil down.

"8 twin names. You missed 1." says Ken 1 glaring at Arima.

"So I have." says Arima looking over the list.

Arima quickly jotted down '8:Wataru meaning 'navigate, cross over, increase, and finish' and Wakato meaning 'young one'.

"Shooouuuld we go back to our cells?" wonders Ken 2.

"No need. I want you both to scan the names and tell me the number you think fits you both." says Arima.

"I can't think on the fly!" says Ken 2 fidgeting.

"Point to the set that jumps out. Nothing more boys." says Arima.
