Chapter 14: Revenge.

wake up!"

Cold water was sprayed on the Slytherin sitting on a chair. Jakob gasped for air and could hear someone laughing while trying to find a way to move and get away from the jet of water.

" Are you awake now?" Said one of the boys, and the water jet stopped.

He looked around and saw that he was sitting in a classroom, probably abandoned. He looked at the three boys standing before him and saw the Slytherin robes and crest.

" Crow, Finnius and Berrow. To what do I owe the pleasure of being tied down and tortured here?"

Asked Quade as he coughed, trying to get out the water from his lungs.

" Shit, did you not cast the Conjunctivitis on him, Finnius?" asked Crow, and Jakob smirked.

" I thought Berrow would do it."

" Don't blame me when you mess up, you idiot."

" So… now that I have seen your faces, you guys have two options. Either you release me or continue doing what you are doing."

The three boys looked a bit confused at Jakob for telling them they continued, and the boy with brown hair and glasses in the middle walked forward to him.

" You don't tell us what to do, Quade, and if you knew what was going to happen, you would not sit there so calmly."

Jakob tried his best not to roll his eyes.

" I'm terrified. And I see you know my last name. Must be very brave to go after the heir of house Quade knowing what the consequences will be."

Finnius looked a bit nervous now and looked to Berrow, who, in turn, glanced at Crow.

" We just want to send you a message from Damon," said Finnius walking forwards."

" Stop, you idiot!" said Crow grabbing the other boy and pushing him away.

" So it's Damon who sent you? Well, I'm listening. Tell me his message."

Crow turned to Jakob, frustrated and panicked. And Jake knew that this was a recipe for stupid decisions.

Crow took a step and kicked Jakob in the chest, making him fall back on his chair. The Slytherin second-year lost his breath for a moment and saw that Crow had taken out his wand.

" If you turn that wand on me, you won't receive any mercy from the house of Quade, Mr Crow." coughed Jakob trying to inhale correctly.

" Crucio!" yelled Crow, and Jakob felt a pain he never had felt before.

It was as if a thousand needles were sticking into him while he was on fire, and the pain stopped only when the Beroow boy grabbed Crow's hand and yelled.

" What the hell are you doing? We are going to prison, and it's all your fault!"

Jakob, who was trying to see straight and twitching, could not say a word.

" You think that's what's going to happen? He is a Quade. They will kill us for tying him up. If that shit tells anyone about us, we are dead!" yelled Crow back to the boy.

The third boy Finnius who had panicked when the curse had hit Jakob, had quickly started to shake his head. The cursed boy could see panic slowly take over like a bacteria. Finnius looked at Jakob and, with sorrow in his eyes, pushed the other two boys aside and ran off.

Crow looked at Berrow, and then something in his eyes shined.

" We could leave him here. The castle is too big for anyone to find him in time, and when they do, he won't be talking."

Berrow looked at Jakob, who gave him a look back. Jakob could see the torn expression in his mind.

" If you do what is right," said Jakob with a hoarse throat. I will forgive."

" He does not need your forgiveness, you insolent little…" when Crow raised his wand at Jakob again, Berrow took his arm, still looking at Jakob.

" Let's go. You are right. No one will find him, and we will be free of this. Damon will be pleased."

Crow, who had gotten the answer he wanted, nodded, and they both left.

Berrow did not look at him, but Jake saw that this was something the sixth-year never thought he would do.

As they closed the door, Jakob listened for the footsteps to lessen before he tried to yank his arm free from the rope that held him.

The rope was too tight, and he thought for a moment instead of trying to use brute force.

Could it be that simple? He flicked his hand, and the wand that was in his holster shot ut. Jakob wanted to laugh but held it and started to roll his chair towards the wand.

When he got close, he positioned himself to be able to take it with his hands, and when he felt the magic from the wand going through his body, the Slytherin boy sighed in relief.

They would pay for this. All of them.

The Slytherin boy then opened the door and saw that he was still in the dungeons, but in a part he had not seen before.

He walked for a while and noticed that the boys had one thing right

They would never have found him in time if he had not gotten the rope loose.

Jakob cursed himself for being so foolish and letting those three idiots attack him.

He knew they were in Amy's and Damon's years, but he had not had much more information on them.

The black-haired boy could write to his father, but then he would break one of the Slytherin's ground rules and would never be accepted by the Slytherin five or be the king.

The dungeon started to look more familiar, and Jakob saw Pansy walking around looking for something.

"Pansy!" hissed Jakob, and he saw the worried look on her face as she heard his voice.

Just as she was about to yell out his name, Jakob gestured for her to be quiet and walk to him.

Pansy walked over to him, glancing around to see if someone was there.

" Jakob!" whispered the girl and gave him a hug. No one had seen you, and everyone was asking me if I knew where you were."

" Stop, pansy. Who is everyone?"

The rambling girl tried to calm herself down and started again.

" Everyone, as in Draco, Daphne, Tracey-"

" No one in the upper years?" interrupted Jakob.

Pansy frowned a bit.

" No, why would they? Jakob, what happened to you? Why are you wet and dirty?"

Jakob waved away her question.

"It's nothing. Listen, I want you to do something for me, alright. I want you to first to go into my room and get Saliza and bring her to me. When you are done, you will go over to the Berrow in the sixth year and tell him discreetly that someone is waiting for him in the second floor's lavatory." can you do that?"

Pansy nodded but looked confused.

" I can but why there, and why do you know him?"

"Pansy, I will tell you later, but just trust me and make sure no one else sees you talking to him. And tell everyone that I'm fine and that I'm you saw me resting in my bed and did not want to be disturbed."

Pansy nodded, and as she walked back into the common room, Jakob waited, and after a minute, she returned with Saliza.

"We have work to do. I will tell you on the way." Hissed Jakob and made his way up to the second floor.

On the way, he told his snake what had happened and his plan.

"I will rip and kill them", Hissed his loyal snake.

"Not the first one, but you will enjoy the second one, I promise." hissed Jakob back before they heard someone closing in on their position.

" Hello?" said Berrow as he walked inside the bathroom on the second floor with a Lumos on his wand.

"I see you got my message. Good," said Jakob sitting on one of the sinks.

Berrow walked over to him and lowered his wand.

" Listen, I'm sorry about what happened earlier. I never would have done this if I knew what Crow would do to you. Damon just told us to scare you to get you in line."

Jakob jumped down and walked towards him.

" You are really ignorant or stupid attacking the heir of house Quade." said the boy and backhanded the sixth year.

Berrow took a step to stabilise, and Jakob could see red rising up from his cheek.

" I'm sorry. I tried to stop him. I helped you, and you said you would forgive." Said the boy, who now almost got to his knee.

Jakob looked at him and smiled.

"remind me exactly how I was helped by you?"

"I told him to leave you alone, he was about to cast something at you, and I stopped him. Said Berrow in desperation.

You left me for dead! Thought Jakob and was close to letting Saliza end him right there and then. But instead, the cunning boy kept to the plan.

Jakob smiled and laid a hand on the sixth-year's shoulder.

"I did say that, didn't I. Well, I do appreciate your help. Tell me, what do you think will happen to you if words get out about this?"

Berrow gulped and looked down in shame.

" We will be imprisoned for using the curse on you."

Jakob smirked and started to laugh a little. Seeing the confused expression on Berrows face, he said.

" No, that would happen if you attacked someone lower than me.

I will tell you what will happen. My father and the Malfoy head of house would first make everyone in your home. Your mum, your dad and everyone you love disappear. They would probably let you watch as they slit their throats. Believe me, I have seen what my father does to people that try to take some galleons from him. I can only imagen what he would do if he got the information that someone tried to take his beloved son and heir away from this earth."

Berrow, who knew he had really fucked up, was now down on his knees.

" Please, I helped you. You said that you would forgive me. It was all Crow's fault and-"

" oh, I know whose fault it is. I just want to ensure that you know what's waiting if you don't follow me now."

Berrow, who had tears in his eyes, nodded.

" You did good, and that is why I will let you be free from your friends' punishment. But you are not free from me."

" Anything! I will do anything." said the boy with hope in his eyes.

" I know you will. Said Jakob raising him up on his feet and dusting off imaginary dust on his arms.

" I want you to go back and tell Crow that Damon wants to meet him in the forbidden forest to discuss a reward for you and him. You will then follow with him into it and take fifty steps. When you have taken those fifty steps, you are going to cast a stunner at Crow and walk out. You will never tell anyone about this, understand?

Berrow nodded.

"Repeat the plan so I know you got it right." Told Jakob gesturing for Beroow to speak. The boy did, and Jakob nodded when he was done.

"Good," Jakob said, and when the boy still stood in front of him, Jake looked at Berrow with a questioning look.

" When do you want me to do it?" Said the older boy.

"Now!" yelled Jakob and backhanded him again, having a hard time controlling his rage that this idiot was able to ambush him.

Berrow nodded and left straight away, raising a hand to hold to the cheek that had received two hits.

Jakob sat on one of the sinks again and looked around. There was said to be a ghost of some girl here, thought Jakob and then shrugged. Guess she is out. He jumped down and opened the crane to splash some water on his face when he noticed something.

There was a snake on the side of the handle, and he frowned, touching it.

"Saliza, what would you make of this?" Hissed Jakob to his snake.

Saliza, who had been inside his robes, looked at the sink and smelled it with her tongue.

"There is a smell in this room familiar with a snake, and the sink is drenched in it." Hissed the snake back.

We have to keep that in mind for later. But we need to hurry now if were are going to get there in time." Hissed Jakob back.

The boy and snake then left the bathroom, and both felt excited about what would happen next.

Jakob had sneaked out, avoiding two different Patrols, and when he had walked 100 meters in, he let Saliza out and waited for the boys to arrive.

"Jakob, your darkness is growing. Why?" Asked Saliza slithering towards him. Jakob bent down and dragged his hand alongside her body.

"There will be a boy arriving soon that ambushed me and cast a spell that caused great pain to me. We will repay that favour."

" I will rip and tear him apart!" Saliza hissed in anger.

Jakob smiled.

"That is exactly what I want you to do."

They soon heard footsteps, and Saliza, who was camouflaged by night, waited eagerly for Jakob to give her the signal.

The black-haired boy had climbed a tree so that he could have a better view, and when he saw that Berrow walked behind Crow, he waited.

" stupify!" Spoke Beroow loudly. A red jet flew out from his wand and hit Crow, who had not anticipated an ambush by his long-time friend collapsed.

" I did what you asked. I'm going back now." Berrow had said this and looked around, almost like he was searching for Jakob. The terrified boy then turned and ran away to the castle.

Jakob jumped down on the forest floor, feeling the soft ground bend a little. He walked over to the unconscious boy and directed his wand at him.

" Incarcerous." black robes burst from Jakob's wand, binding the crow's body, arms and legs.

Jakob hunched down and pointed his wand at the boy's face.

" Finite"

Crow opened his eyes.

" Where… what happened? Berrow?"

Crow's eyes focused when he saw Jakob looking down at him, wearing a smile that would make even Damon piss his pants.

" Quade? How did you?..." as Crow realised that he was bound, he started to forcefully try to break free but soon realised that it was not going to happen.

" Help! somebody!" Jakob, still smiling, pointed his wand at the scared sixth years face.

" Scream again, and I will cut out your tongue. Continue after that, and I will melt your eyes. your choice."

The boy stopped, and Jakob noticed tears starting to roll down the boy's face.

" Please, I'm sorry, okay? It was stupid. I would not have left you there for long. I…"

" Shh", said Jakob patting the boy's head.

" I understand. You got caught up in the moment, right?"

The boy tied up boy nodded.

" That you used one of the unforgivable curses on me was also a mistake, right?"

The boy nodded again and now was crying, knowing that there was not a big chance that Jakob would let him go easy."

" If you were in my shoes now, having one that had done the things you did to me bound. Tell me, Crow. What would you have done? And don't lie now. If you do, you will get punished."

Said Jakob in a low voice that did not sound like himself.

Saliza felt his darkness slither closer to him, bathing in his aura.

Crow, who cried, tried to control it and answered.

" I... I would probably hurt you. A… a lot and leave you here to die."

Jakob nodded, satisfied with the answer and patted him once again on the head.

" Very good, Crow... but I am not you."

Jakob reached out and started to go through Crow's robes, searching for something, and when he found it, he took it out and held it in his other hand. Crow looked at his wand that he had gotten from Ollivander's and felt naked without it.

" Tell you what. I will let you go." said the second year and stood up.

Crow's eyes widened in hope.

" r…really?"

" Really," said Jakob nodding with his usual charming smile.

" Thanks, Quade and I will never do anything to you again. You have my word!"

Jakob nodded again.

" But there is one thing," said Jakob putting his hand to his chin like he was thinking.

" I want you to run. Like you were being hunted."

Crows eyes looked confused and scared.

" wh...what? Why?"

Jakob's twisted smile returned.

" Because you will be hunted. If you make it back to the castle, you have proven yourself, and I will release you, but if you don't…."

Jakob waved his wand, and the ropes loosened from the boy's body.

Crow was still lying there. And Jakob raised an eyebrow.

" run. Now." Hissed Jakob in excitement.

The boy got up in a panic and turned away, starting to run.

" Saliza," said Jakob looking at the boy who tried his best to run but was tripping on roots and almost fell.

Saliza hissed in anticipation and excitement.

" Kill."

Saliza leaned back and shot forwards. It almost looked like a black arrow in the night. He then saw her hit her prey in the neck and coil herself around him.

Jakob heard Crow make a startling sound and tried to scream, only to be choked by Saliza, who had her body twisted around his neck and upper body.

The boy reached with his arms, trying to remove the predator from his neck but swayed from right to left before falling to the forest ground.

Jakob walked forwards slowly, seeing Saliza still curling around her prey and having her fangs still embedded in the boy's neck that was leaking blood.

Jakob hunched again and saw the boy's scared eyes slowly dying, and after a few seconds, his arms, desperately trying to release him, fell to the ground. And only a few twitches remained before he went completely still.

Saliza released him and slithered him back to Jakob. Her mouth was covered in the wizard's blood.

" Did you have fun?" asked Jakob as the snake curled up, resting herself on his shoulders.

" Very," said Saliza, tasting Jakob's cheek.

" Saliza, what poison did you inject him with?"

" No poison yet, Jakob. I will develop it as I grow, but I'm still deadly, as you witnessed."

Jakob petted her head.

" Well, that's good. We don't want them to be able to track down what kind of snake that killed him." Said Jakob and then took out the boy's wand.

" What will you do with it?" hissed his snake staring at it.

" I think I will keep it. As a memory of our first hunt together," said Jakob smiling at his snake.

" the first of many", hissed Saliza.

" the first of many", hissed Jakob back.

They took a stroll in the forest so they would not be seen leaving it in the same place the two Slytherin boys had entered it, and Saliza told Jakob about what she had seen.

" I met giant spiders not native to this place, and they cowered in fear. I have seen unicorns, but they are rare and too foul for me to eat.

I saw a door in the ground, but it was sealed shut."

Jakob halted.

"A door in the ground?" he questioned and turned his head to the snake on his shoulders.

"Yes, it was made of stone and had magic surrounding it. I can show you another night if you wish?."

"Yes, that seems interesting."

They walked out from the forest and made their way to the lake that Jakob knew he had to cross to get to where his window was.

The water was freezing, and needing two hands to swim, he could not use a warming charm.

Saliza swam before him and showed the way.

Jakob silently prayed that nothing would grab him and pull him down. He knew there were creatures in the lake, but they all seemed to be at rest right now, at least.

When they saw a small plain of grass, Saliza slithered up on it, and Jakob dragged himself up, being heavy of the water-drenched clothes and tired from the 10 minutes swim.

" Do you do this every time I let you out?" hissed Jakob in surprise at his snake.

" No, I can go beside the castle and avoid the water, but you are too big for that."

Jakob gave her a thumbs up. And Saliza looked up at the window.

" How do you expect to get up there?"

" You will have to go up and make Pansy open the window so I can speak with her."

Saliza slithered up, and Jakob looked in amazement at how it looked like she was slithering on the ground. It must be one of her magical abilities. Thought Jakob while he heaved himself up.

Soon Saliza had reached the window and bumped her head against it.

The window door opened up, and pansy let the snake inside.

" Pansy!" Jakob whispered as loudly as he could.

Pansy looked down and saw him standing there.

" Get my broom and drop it down.

Pansy nodded and left for s second before returning with his black Nimbus 2001 and dropping it.

As it fell, Jakob took out his wand and whispered softly.

" Arresto momentum"

Almost hitting the ground, the broom slowed down, and he grabbed it, flew up to his window, and crawled inside.

When Jakob was inside, he took off his clothes and put on some new dry ones in a hurry.

" Who has been asking for me?"

No one else but some did not believe me when I told them you were in here, resting.

Jakob nodded, and Pansy, who had not registered Jakob switching clothes, now turned her gaze and saw that he was in the middle of taking off his shirt.

Pansy turned around with flushed cheeks.

"Honestly, we have rules. Change in the bathroom!"

"Why do you care? I sleep only in a pair of shorts now, and you have no problems with that?" said the boy confused.

Pansy huffed but did not say anything more or turn around.

When Jakob was done, he walked outside and entered the common room together with pansy and yelled to Draco that he wanted to be in the next round of exploding snap.

Draco looked up, and so did a lot of other students. Good, now they all saw me exit my dorm. Though Jakob and sat down.

Berrow, who sat with Finnius, glanced nervously at Jakob, who gave him a discreet smile and nod.

The boy seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, and so did the other boy

I will need a word with that Finnius about loyalty. He seems to believe he gets the same punishment as Berrow. He might be on to something, actually, thought Jakob.

" Quade!"

Jakob heard Damon's voice and turned around to see him and two of the Slytherin five walking over to him. One of them, Amy the other one, Flint.

" Have you seen Crow?"

Jakob glanced at Berrow, who discreetly shook his head.

" No? Is he looking for me?" asked Jakob looking a bit confused.

Damon turned to Berrow and Finnius, who looked at the chess game they were pretending to play.

" No, he is not. I only thought you might have seen him here in the common room. When did you get back here?"

" back? I came here after dinner, give or take s few minutes."

Damon looked suspiciously at him now.

" Why have I not seen you until now?"

" I did not feel so good, got some headache. So I went inside my dorm for a while, and it still hurts, but it's manageable now, at least."

" mhm.." said Damon looking around.

" you there he said, pointing the finger at a third-year girl.

" did you see this one" Damon pointed at Jakob

" Come in from the entrance door?"

The girl shook her head.

" No, my king. He just arrived from the dorms corridor."

Damon turned around, looked at Jakob briefly, and waved like he was done with him.

He then whispered something to Amy, which Jakob did not hear and then said to the people in the room.

" If anyone sees Mr Crow tell him that his king wishes to see him, and that is urgent."

Everyone nodded, and the king walked away. The two Slytherins beside him followed.

Jakob did not even glance at Amy, knowing people were watching now.

They sat up for a while longer and played before Jakob thought he could return to bed.

When Pansy and her roommate walked inside, she closed the door and turned to him.

" What happened? Why did you need Saliza?"

Jakob sighed and sat down on their bed.

" Pansy, I won't lie to you, but there are certain things I wish not to talk about."

Pansy walked over to him.

" Does everything that happened tonight have something to do with that Crow boy?"

Jakob locked eyes with the girl who now had seated herself beside him.

" Pansy, I'm not really sure that I want to go into detail, but today someone did something to me. I got them back."

Pansy took his hand in hers.

" You don't want to tell me how?"

Jakob shook his head.

" One day, I will, but I'm dead tired right now."

Pansy nodded, and they got into bed. She was awake longer that night. Like she did not want to sleep until he did. Her head was on his chest, listening to his heartbeat and her hand absently caressed his arm.

The following day there were signs from the teacher's table that something wasn't right.

Dumbledor, Hagrid and Snape were not present, and the rest looked like they were waiting for something.

Jakob tried not to overthink it and continued with his day.

At lunch, there were still no signs of the teachers, and the Slytherin boy started to wonder how long it would take before they began to look inside the forbidden forest. Jakob also noticed that the Slytherin five was missing.

After their potion class ended, Jakob strolled up to the sixth floor. This was the first day, and his club would officially open.

He hoped that there would not be a lot of students so he could get some time with Granger and talk to her now that he had been so busy with everything else.

Jakob got up from the stairs, and just as his eyes turned to watch the corridor, he stopped dead in his track.

There were a lot of them.

Outside his classroom stood what he hoped were not 16 students and waited.

He walked over and saw that it was a lot of first years. Ella and Luna were present and waved at him, to which he returned with a smile and nod.

He also saw Hermione telling people to line up and await Mr Quade, and when she saw him walking over to her, she smiled and continued to yell out orders.

Jakob waved his wand, and the door clicked open.

"Alright, everyone, we have 1 hour and a half before dinner, so when you enter, you will walk inside and take a seat. Take up the homework you have and start. If you need help, there will be a sign that you put on your desk. Miss Granger and I will come and help you but until then, try to continue with the next question or something else if possible."

He opened up the door, and the students walked inside.

He greeted them on one side and Hermione on the other, and when two people walked forward. Jakob first looked a bit surprised and then had to try not to laugh.

"Mr Weasley, Mr Potter."

Said Jakob, and the two boys glared back at him.

" Don't flatter yourself", hissed Harry.

" Were are only here because we had to."

Jakob had to water his lips, so he did not start to smirk.

" You don't have to explain yourself, Harry. It's probably a shit classroom anyways," said Ron as the two boys walked inside. Jakob, who had heard the other students say

"wow", and

" look at that one" was not really believing the Gryffindor on that statement.

Jake and Granger walked inside and took a seat behind the desk in Infront of the class.

" You can start now," said Jakob to the students. They had all taken a seat but were staring at the different paintings.

When the Slytherin boy noted that they began to take out their things, he himself took out parchment and a quill that he dipped in ink and started with his own homework. As did Hermione beside him.

" Miss Granger, would you read this and double check if you think this is good?" whispered Jakob after a few seconds, and Hermione, a little surprised, then read.

Hi, it's good to see you again, Hermione. I hope they are done before dinner so we might have some time to talk.

Hermione smiled a little bit and schooled her face when she noticed it.

" maybe if you wrote it like this." the Gryffindor girl said and started to write on her paper. Jakob followed with his eyes as she wrote the different words.

It's good to see you too, and I would love to, but don't get your hopes up. There are a lot of muggle-borns here.

Jakob looked over the class and understood what she meant.

The muggle-borns that had just arrived in the magical world did not understand the different things like a pureblood did.

And soon, the signs came up. Jakob and Granger silently agreed that she would take Harry, Ron, and Jakob, Ella and Luna. They split the rest.

Jakob, however, never needed to go to either of those two and instead helped an idiot named Colin Creevey, who had a question about a potion ingredient.

" read in the book," said Jakob when he got the question about how he was supposed to cut the horned slug.

" Yes," but I... I don't have my book." said Colin.

Jakob looked almost baffled at the first year.

"Where is it?"

" In my dorm, I did not think I would need it to write the text."

" You are writing a text on how to brew a cure for boils," said Jakob with a voice almost sounding like Snape, and he now understood why the professor hated children. He was right. They were all idiots.

" Well, I.." Started Colin, but Jakob walked away and to his desk.

" Don't care about him, mate. I can help you," said Ron.

" Can't believe he would just walk away from him like that", the redhead continued.

Jakob, who had arrived at his desk, bent down, picked up the book Colin had forgotten and walked back.

" If I hear you insult me one more time in this classroom, Weasley, I will move your seat to be Infront of my desk and see to it that I help you with every question you have," said Jakob as he walked back and put the book down on Colin's table while still staring at Ron who looked down in shame and continued to write.

" Turn to page 64," said Jakob turning his eyes to Colin.

" Wow, how can you remember what page it was on?"

Jakob did not answer and gestured for him to continue.

For the next 15 minutes, the Slytherin walked from table to table, answering the basic question the student thought was rocket science. Suddenly, Jakob saw her sign up, surprisingly, the Weasley girl who sat a little further away from them.

Jakob walked over to her, feeling the stares from her brother and secret love crush.

" Hi, what do you need help with?" said Jakob trying to be neutral.

" um... it's okay. I can wait for Hermione," said the redhead and gave him an apologetic smile.

Jakob lowered himself a little and said in a low voice.

" I have managed to help 4 students while miss Granger is still helping your brother. You can either wait for your brother to finally understand, or you can get the same help from me."

Ginny thought for s second and then nodded.

" Great, I get to help someone in my classroom. Now then, what do you need help with?"

Ginny started with her problem, which Jakob had to admit was the hardest one yet, but the hardest one yet was still not that hard.

After he had explained why her shortcut in handling the ingredients would destroy the brew, he also gave her a tip on what she could do instead. And Ginny looked at the Slytherin boy, surprised that he actually was giving her advice on something that was not from the book.

" Thank you."

" No worries, but don't put it in the text. If professor Snape sees it, he will take points for cheating," said Jakob doing air quotes when saying the word cheating.

As time went on, Jakob and Hermione walked around the chairs and helped everyone and never got a chance to sit together again.

Finally, Jakob saw that the club time was over.

Jake walked back to his desk, gestured to Hermione to follow him, and said goodbye to the student who was now taking their things and heading back to the great hall for dinner.

Granger and Jakob received thanks from the students and waited for everyone to leave, and when the door closed, Jakob turned to Hermione and hugged her. She hugged him back immediately, and then they talked for a little while about the things they had done during the summer.

When they walked out of the classroom, Jakob told her they needed to split up but that he would change the time for the club meeting to after dinner so they would have more time to talk.

As he walked to the great hall, he passed by Aurors and other grown-ups that were walking around in the corridors questioning students.

Jakob knew they had not found the boy yet, and apparently, now the Ministry had interfered.

Jakob walked inside the great hall, sat beside Pansy and Millicent and listened to what the headmaster was talking about.

" This is only a formal act, and we are sure he will be found soon. No need to worried."

Jakob glanced at Pansy, who whispered in his ear.

" That Crow boy has gone missing."

Jakob had to think up a new plan, but it was not that much of a difference. He just needed three stones.

After dinner, Jakob and his classmates walked back to the dungeons.

Jakob was just about to walk inside the entrance to his common room when he saw Berrow Waving for him to hurry over behind a pillar.

The Quade heir excused himself and told his friends that he had forgotten something in the dining hall.

He walked over to Berrow and Finnius, who were hiding.

" Why are you playing hide and seek?" asked Jakob.

" Because they are questioning people, and if you walk inside, you will also be questioned."

Jakob nodded in understanding.

" I did not want to have to use these until when I was really sure that I needed them," said Jakob and took out 3 small stones from his pocket.

" What are those?" asked Berrow and Finnius when they looked at the stones.

" My father bought these when he was in Russia. I can't pronounce their name, but they will stand against the truth potion. Take this and walk inside. Let them question you, and you will be fine, even if they use veritas serum.

The two boys looked a bit suspicious, but knowing Quades, they could have these things.

They took two of the stones and Jakob the third, and they all swallowed.

" Now, where were you, Finnius, when Berrow walked out into the forest with Crow?" asked Jakob when he had made a big gulp.

" I was in the boy's bathroom throwing up.." said Finnius.

Perfect thought, Jakob.

"Alright, let's go. The stones should have begun to work their magic."

As Finnius and Berrow turned around, Jakob drew his wand and stunned them both.

There was a thud while their bodies hit the floor, and Jakob pointed his wand at Berrow.

" Let's see if this will work or if I mess his mind up, " said the last standing Slytherin, pointing his wand at Berrow's temple.

" Obliviate," And Jakob flung himself into the boy's mind.

Jakob floated around in a world and saw different memories as screens he sorted through.

He deleted himself from being found out but let the other descriptions in the memories play out.

This would not hold for long. The memories would have too many blanks, and, as a consequence, the boy's mind would start to fill those blanks in. But it would do until his plan was done.

He did the same to the other boy, which was easier. Finnius had only been in the lavatory, so wiping that and Whispering he had been with Crow and Berrow did not make a lot of small blanks.

He whispered to the two boys.

" When you awake, you will walk into the common room and tell them what you think is the truth."

He then walked over to another pillar and stood behind it, pointing his wand at the stunned memory-charmed boys.

" Finite"

The boys rose and looked confused.

" Finnius, why are we standing here? Asked Berrow looking around.

" I don't know, but we should go inside, right? Weird standing here." Said Finnius, scratching his head.

Both boys walked inside, and Jakob smiled as he spat out the perfectly normal pebble he had in his mouth. Think what a stone and lies can make people believe.

Jakob. Walked back up and went outside to take an evening stroll.

He saw a bench that overlooked the Hogwarts gate, and he waited.

" Hello, Jakob. What are you doing here?"

Jakob looked up and saw that Dumbledore was standing Infront of him.

" Headmaster, I was just taking some fresh air. The Slytherin cave can be a little suffocating sometimes but don't tell anyone that l told you."

Dumbledor chuckled a little and sat down.

" You mind if I ask how your first day with the club went?"

" It was fine. Miss Granger helped out a lot, but I think we need more desks."

Dumbledore smiled and gave him a nod.

" I will see that there is more next time you enter your new classroom. Do I mistake myself if I say that you and miss Granger get along?"

Jakob knew what the headmaster was doing, but even if he gave dumbledor the false sense that he was turning pro-mud-blood, he could also speak freely about his friend.

" Miss Granger and I get along well. It's too bad my family would kill me if they knew what was happening here. Last time my father heard me speak of miss Granger, it became rather… unpleasant for me."

Jakob turned his gaze slowly at Dumbledore, who looked sorrowful.

Dumbledore nodded, answering the silent question not to let Jakob's father know about this. He then opened his mouth again.

" What were you planning to do when you were done here then?

Going back to your common room?"

Jakob shook his head.

" I was thinking of visiting Hagrid again and see if he would mind if I discussed something with him."

Dumbledore looked surprised now.

" Hagrid? I did not know you two were on a friendly basis."

" I have only been invited once, and it ended when Potter came and started to yell at Hagrid that a snake was sitting there."

Dumbledor looked out into the evening that now had turned pretty dark.

" You are not like the typical Slytherin, Mr Quade. I hope to see more of your friends showing the same spirit as you."

Jakob chuckled.

" Something funny?" asked Dumbledore with that sparkle in his eyes.

" with all due respect, headmaster. If they did, they might end up where I am."

" and where is that?" asked Dumbledore, interested.

" Being afraid that the wrong people would tell my father and that my father would do something he later would regret."

Albus was about to say something when they heard many different sounds.

They watched as the gates to the castle opened, and three Aurors walked out with the two boys. Teachers and students were following them and Dumbledore rose from his seat, walking over to them.

" What is the meaning of this? Why have you taken these two under arrest?"

One of the Aurors walked forward, gesturing for the headmaster to walk away further from the mass of students and teachers.

They walked closer to Jakob, who listened to what the Auror said.

" We have all the evidence that these two boys manslaughter Mr Crow."

Dumbledor looked stunned.

" What?"

" They led him away from the school and into the forbidden forest and then stunned him in the back. One did the act, and one did the planning.

We have searched and found Mr crows body. He had been attacked by something, we believe it was a snake, but the autopsy will know more."

Dumbledore took a step back.

" But why would they do that to him?"

The author shrugged. Maybe they had a disagreement. We don't know why but we know that they have given us the evidence and will be moved to the Ministry and awaiting a trail of its even necessary."

Dumbledor nodded, and the man walked away to his companions, who took away the crying teenagers.

When Jakob saw that their life had just ended, he smiled inwards.

Did you really think I would forgive you? Did you really think I would forget? He thought while he saw the boys were apparated away with the Aurors outside the gates.

When Jakob entered the school again, he saw that the rumour mill was yet again in full bloom.

He walked down to the Slytherin common rooms and walked inside with a little skip in his step. He knew people would want to talk to him, so he went straight to his dorm, where he was alone with Saliza, who was sleeping in his bed.

" So when I'm not here, you take the liberty to sleep in my bed?" hissed Jakob laying down beside her and moving his finger on her scale.

" I see this as my second bed, and I can only use it when you and that pet you have isn't sharing it." Hissed Saliza as she woke up and caressed his hand with her head.

" pet?" Jakob hissed in confiuson.

Suddenly a loud knock was heard.

" Quade!"

For fuck sake, can't he leave me alone?

" I need a word with you. Now."

Jakob took Saliza in his robes and opened the door.

There stood Damon alone, and he looked at Jakob suspiciously.

" I need you to come with me now."

Jakob nodded and followed Damon inside the Kings room, where he saw Amy already waiting with her wand in her hand.

The Slytherin king locked the door and put up a silencing spell.

" Sit," said Damon gesturing for Amy to hold him at wand point. Amy raised her wand, not showing any emotion.

Jakob took a seat and watched them both.

" Alright, I need you to cut the shit. I know that you know who Crow, Berrow and Finnius are," said Damon while sitting down on his own seat and then continued.

Why did this all happen?

Jakob looked confused again.

" I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean?"

Damon rose up from his seat and walked over to Jakob, who sat calmly looking at Amy.

" Stop lying to me, Quade. Why did Berrow and Finnius kill Crow?"

When Jakob did not answer, Damon, frustrated, looked at Amy and then back at Jakob. Damon glared a second, then grabbed Jakob, dragged him up, and pushed him into a wall.

" Saliza, come out."

Damon froze where he stood when hearing Jakob hissing.

He looked down and saw a black snake that watched him with red eyes.

" Should I rip him apart?"

" No, just make yourself comfortable on him. If he tried anything, restrict his breathing."

Damon witnessed the boy he despised talking with the snake and then sensing the snake crawling up on him and slithering around his neck.

Amy, who had stood behind them now, walked forward, and Damon seemed to remember that she was there.

" Amy, go and get help. I…" Damon stopped as Saliza tightened her grip for a moment and then released.

" Seems like she does not want you to speak. Said Amy, standing behind him. Amy's hand searched his robe and found what it was looking for.

She tossed his wand away, and Damon closed his eyes as he heard it fall and make a sound as the wood hit the stone floor.

" I trusted you. I trusted you more than anyone else. Why would you betray me?"

Amy stood beside Jakob, now looking at her former friend in disgust.

" You changed. You are not acting like a Slytherin. in fact, now that I think of it, you never did. I hated you for getting something that was not rightfully yours. You were never meant to be in Slytherin five and never be the king."

Jakob Released the grip Damon had on his robes.

" Damon take a seat," Jakob said and gestured for the king to sit down, which he did when Saliza hissed at him.

Jakob walked and stood beside him, and that twisted smile returned.

" I can honestly say I did not kill Crow. The Aurors said that Berrow and Finnius had taken him out into the forest and stunned him. Leaving him there. Apparently, he had suffered bite wounds on his neck from a snake and strangulation."

Jakob shrugged, and Damon understood exactly.

Amy glanced at Jakob, and he gave her a look that told her that they would talk later.

" You won't get away with this. I…." Saliza tightened her grip again, opened her mouth and was centimetres to biting him.

" No. We can kill him." hissed Jakob.

" Why?" hissed his snake back.

" If we kill him, they will know that it was us, and we will be blamed for the Crow murder too."

Saliza hissed in irritation but stopped.

" I'm sorry about that. Saliza is not used to waiting this long before killing her prey."

" What do you want?" asked Damon trying to relax so his hand would stop shaking.

Jakob had waited for him to ask.

He walked over to him, hunching down.

"I want you to end your time here at Hogwarts. Tomorrow, you will pack your bags and leave this institution forever. You will tell everyone that losing your classmates has made you to distrust this school for your safety and that you will seek education elsewhere."

" Fine. Fine, just take the snake, please."

Amy walked over to him, whispering.

" you can't trust him. As soon as he gets up and leaves this room, he will tell everyone about you and me."

Jakob turned to her and smiled.

" that is why it's good that we are three."

Damon looked like all hope had disappeared, and Amy smirked.

" You are a true Slytherin."

Jakob grabbed Damon's hand and looked at Amy, who waved her wand.

" Do you swear to never give information to anyone willingly or unwillingly about what has happened in this room tonight? And about Jakob's secrets," asked Amy looking at Damon.

" I swear," said Damon. a burning gold chain was forming between the two.

" Do you swear that you will leave this school in the morning and give those who wonder the excuse that Jakob just told you to give?"

"I swear." said the boy.

" And do you swear that if Jakob ever needs your help with anything in the future, you will answer his call?"

Jakob and Damon looked at her, one in surprise and one in s horrified expression.

" That was not…."

Saliza constructed his neck, and Jakob was almost afraid she would snap his neck.

" I swear!" he choked out.

The chains burned themself into their hands and then disappeared.

Saliza returned to Jakob and sat on his shoulders once again.

" Amy, I think you need to heal that. He almost looks like Crow," said Jakob gesturing to Damon's neck.

Amy waved her wand and said the incantation. The bruise on the boy's neck was healed.

" Now, Damon, it's been a pleasure to talk with you this evening, but now I would like to have a word with my Queen here. Go to your room and start packing and write a letter."

Damon glared at Amy but got up and walked to the room to their left.

"It's done. You ha e your throne," said Jakob looking at Amy, who was silencing the door into Damon's room. She then turned around to face him.

" Why did you do it, Jakob?"

Jakob sighed and sat down on the chair. Saliza slithered down to Amy, who smiled at her letting her climb up to her shoulders.

" Damon had told the three of them to scare me, so the three idiots ambushed me and tied me to a chair in one of the abandoned classrooms down in the dungeons. They started by drowning me in water, but then they realised someone had forgotten to blind my eyes. They panicked, and Crow kicked me down to the ground and cast the Crusiatus curse."

Amy, who had looked first, looked stern, changed to shocked and then got down and grabbed his hand. She was about to say something when Jakob interrupted her.

"It's fine. It did hurt a lot, but it's fine," he chuckled. Then they decided to leave me there to die. Knowing that I would talk if they let me go free."

Amy, who had tears in her eyes, noticed that Jakob had not taken it well.

"It's stupid, you know? Being ambushed so easily and then mattering so little that one decides to just let me die in the dirt. He said, and tears not running down his cheek.

" But I don't die that easily", now feeling hate bubbling up.

"I got loose, and I got Berrow alone. I told him to take Crow and stun him in the forest. He did what he was told like a good little soldier, and when I looked down on Crow, I got my revenge."

Amy took squeezed his hands.

" I told him that I would let him be free if he could run faster than Saliza. I looked him in the eyes as he was dying."

Amy looked at Jakob and caressed his cheek. Trying to hide that, she saw a black mist emanating from him like an aurora.

"I looked him in the eyes and saw the panic slowly fading Away."

" Jakob, stop. You are showing her darkness!" hissed saliza.

Jakob had been so enveloped in the memory he had not noticed anything. He stopped and looked around for a second and then looked at Amy.

She looked around him in astonishment and then looked back at him.

" Amy.. i."

She leaned in and kissed him. Saliza, who knew this was gonna take some time, slithered off her, and Amy straddled him, still continuing to kiss him.

Jakob felt her hands going up to his hair, raised his own and put one behind her head and one at the end of her back.

He could feel her kissing him deeper and deeper. Amy began to open her mouth. He, as a reflex, did the same, and after a few more kisses, he felt her licking his lips.

A shiver went through his back, and he pushed her harder against him, hearing that same faint noise she had made once before. He reached out his tongue to do the same, but their toughest met. Amy pushed herself harder on him, and their tongues started to dance with each other.

After a while, they both had to stop and breathe.

Amy was red around her mount, and Jakob would have been if it wasn't for the healing shard inside him.

They just sat there. Amy smiled.

" I really enjoyed that, Jakob. Have you done that before?"

Jakob shook his head, still taking deep breaths.

" never... I'm not as old as you remember?"

Amy laughed.

"Sometimes I forget. You look so much older, and one day, I will know how you did it"

Jakob kissed her again, and they continued for a while more before Amy stopped.

" We need to get going, and I would suggest that I go first. You can calm down a little." She said, smirking.

" Why would I need to calm down? I'm fine," said Jakob with a slight frown.

" Oh, I don't know. It might be that something will show everyone that you had a good time?" Amy said while looking at him, pushing forwards at him once more to let him know what she meant.

Jakob, who had not noticed, looked down and saw Amy's skirt covering him, but he knew and began to blush.

"It's okay, I enjoy it", she said with a wink and kissed him once more before getting up and walking out.

" Are you done mating?" asked Saliza slithering up the table and placing her beside him.

" We did not, mate," hissed Jakob back, annoyed.

" Looked like it." You were slithering around each other."

" Yes, but it needs to be more than that to be mating, and I'm too young."

" Saliza hissed in what Jakob recognised as giggles.

" I like her. I approve of this mating."

Jakob sighed and had to sit there for what seemed an eternity before he was ready to stand up. He took his snake into his robes and opened the door.

He walked out and saw that the Slytherin common room was almost empty except for a few students from the upper years that were sitting by the fire talking in low voices.

Jakob walked back to his dorm, opened his door, and saw pansy sitting in front of her desk doing homework. Jakob let Saliza down, and the snake crawled up the window and went out to explore.

Pansy had turned around, stood up, walked over to Jakob, and Hugged him.

" I was worried that Damon had…."

She stopped, and Jakob noticed that she was doing something.

"you smell… diffrent? Is that perfume?" pansy said, frowning and continuing to sniff him.

Jakob let go of the hug and looked away.

" Umm yeh, it is," he said, walking to their bed and lying down on it.

"Whom is it?" pansy asked, looking suspiciously at Jakob, who did not make eye contact.

" Why so curious?" asked Jakob.

"It's not daphnes. I know that much, so who have you been with?"

Jakob looked at her this time.

" Why does it matter?"

" Jakob, what is going on with you? You did not want to talk to me about yesterday, and I accepted that, but now you keep secrets from me?" said Pansy walking over to him.

Jakob, who was getting frustrated after everything got up.

" Do I need to tell you everything about everything?" he said, raising his voice.

" no, but you don't have to be a jerk about it," said pansy matching the decibel.

"I have a life outside this room two, you know. And some people can have it so easy like you have."

Pansy looked more pissed off now and said.

" what do you mean easy?"

" Oh, I don't know. Having a crush on one guy and then getting a roommate who you can use as everything your boyfriend does not fix for you. Because that is what I am to you. a Bloody pillow for you to cry on!"

Pansy, now red in anger, slapped him, and Jakob stopped.

He grabbed her arms and pushed her against the wall.

" say you sorry," he hissed at her while they glared at each other.

Pansy's eyes were tearing up, but her pissed-off face was still present.

" Never."

She broke eye contact with him, and Jakob noticing how hard his grip was on her wrists, realised her.

When he let them free, Pansy's wrists were red, and he sighed regretfully.

" Pansy, I'm sorry my body and hormones are acting weird." tried Jakob, but she did not listen and went over to her side of the bed and buried herself inside the covers.

Jakob sighed again and slowly approached the covers over his friend, and he could hear her crying in there.

Jakob lay down and tried to open the cover, but it was pulled down.

" Pansy, I know I have been acting strange, and there is a good reason for that. But there will never be a good reason for me to hurt you, and I'm sorry. I would take it back in a heartbeat if I could."

He heard a faint voice under the cover.

" I'm sorry for slapping you."

Jakob opened the cover and went inside, and spooned her.

He felt her hand taking hold of his, and her crying calmed down.

" This was the first time I made you cry, and I hated it," whispered Jakob holding her tighter.

Pansy turned and Hugged him.

" I never want us to fight again like that," she said, and Jakob nodded.

After a while, they removed the cover from their heads when they could not get any air.

" Pansy, answer my question, and I promise to tell you whose perfume I have on me."

Pansy turned her face to him, so their eyes met. They were so close that they could feel each other's breaths.

" Why did you sound accusing when you asked me whose perfume it was?"

The girl looked away for a while.

" I'm a hypocrite when I say this, but I might have gotten a bit jealous knowing another girl can get so close to you."

" Close to me?"

"I have been spoiled. I just imagen that I was the girl closest to you, and smelling that perfume made me realise that another girl has been as close to you as me."

" does it matter to you about other girls and me? I mean, you have Draco and-"

" I know", interrupted Pansy with a monotone voice.

" I have Draco, and I should not even be doing this with you, so what right do I have being jealous about you having another?"

Jakob thought for a moment.

" I can be jealous of Draco sometimes," said Jakob.

The girl looked back at him.

" Really?"

" you kidding, right? At the train, you walked straight over to him, and for a split second, I actually thought you were going to me."

Pansy looked down.

" I had to. They would know otherwise."

Jakob lifted her chin.

"I know, and I agree, but I still get jealous, right? Just like you."

Pansy nodded, holding him closer.

" So…. Who is it?" she asked, looking up at the boy that was in her embrace.

Jakob looked at Pansy, unaware of the girl's reaction.

He took a breath and answered.

It's Amy Frome's.

Authors note: Well, another chapter, and this was a big one, so don't expect them to be this big in the future.
