SailorStar9: After getting Chapter 67 out, this is Chapter 68 of this fic. (Sighs) Guys and girls, is it too hard for you to leave a review, instead of just putting this fic up on your favorited list and story alerts?
Pairings: Albedo/Sucrose, Zhongli/Mitsuko/Kazuha, One-sided Diluc/Mitsuko, One-sided Diluc/Jean

Chapter 68: Teyvat Arc: Omnipresence Over Mortals, Part Seven
At the messenger pigeon roost at the Resistance camp at Fort Fujitou...
"Hello." Mitsuko greeted the messenger pigeon perched on the stand. "Now, what message do you have for us?" cradling the spotted bird in her arms, she retrieved the strip of paper tied around its leg. "For Archon's sake, Yae..." she muttered, reading the note. "Thank you, little one." she left to allow the bird to feed from the feeder. "Gorou," she entered the General's tent. "Yae Miko implemented her Plan." she informed the Inu Hybrid. "And given the Traveler's track record of solving other countries' problems, this civil war might very well come to an end much sooner than expected."
"That's good news." Gorou remarked.
"Gather everyone who had their Visions stripped from them." Mitsuko instructed. "We're heading to the Tenshukaku."
"Right." Gorou nodded.
"Does the Traveler stand a chance?" Kazuha wondered.
"Given their opponent is the 'Crimson Witch of Flame' and the one who not only ripped the Anemo Archon's Gnosis from his body in Mondstadt and is also the Harbinger who oversaw the production of the Delusions, I'm pretty sure they'll be 'motivated' enough to win." Mitsuko smirked.
At the Tenshukaku...
"The way people charge in here as they please." Signora scoffed, noticing the arriving Traveler. "So uncivilized. If I didn't know this was Tenshukaku, I might have mistaken it for some kind of street market. Have you learned your lesson now?"
"What has she done to Kujou Sara?" Paimon was shocked at the defeated Sara lying unconscious on the ground.
"The right to punish Inazumans for their crimes is mine alone." the Shogun reminded. "Not yours, Signora."
"Then I apologize, Almighty Shogun." Signora shrugged mockingly.
"Signora!" the Traveler snarled.
"I know, I know, you can't get me out of your mind." Signora taunted. "But you really don't need to call my name all the time. Don't go thinking I'm surprised to see you here. I'm well aware that you hate me, with the way you follow me around like a dark shadow."
"You're secretly distributing Delusions." the Traveler growled.
"So, you came to expose my crimes in front of the Shogun?" Signora mocked. "I'm just a Snezhnayan diplomat. I'm afraid I have no idea what you're talking about."
"For all who have been harmed by Delusions..." the Traveler swore.
"Stop talking about people and things that I care nothing about." Signora shrugged. "They were nobodies to begin with, and their names will be forgotten. But now, at least, they get to be building blocks in the grand revolution to realize eternity. Is that not the greatest honor they could hope for in their tiny little lives. Almighty Shogun, do correct me if I'm wrong?"
"And for the people of Liyue you imperiled..." the Traveler spat.
"That's ancient history." Signora retorted. "You certainly love to hold a grudge. The Tsaritsa's dream is the noblest and purest thing in all the world. These other mundane details you insist on mentioning: they're just necessary sacrifices. That's all."
"It's time for me to put a stop to this." the Traveler declared.
"You?" Signora mocked. "Stop me? For what it's worth, I've grown tired of seeing you around as well. But I didn't have you down as someone quite so foolhardy. Before you go saying something you can't take back, remember that you're Inazuma's most wanted criminal. I suggest you consider your circumstances very carefully. Charging into Tenshukaku uninvited and lecturing me in front of the Shogun wasn't the brightest move. Don't you think it's time you stopped digging? I'm not sure you realize quite how much distance there is between us, both in status and in strength."
"I challenge you... to a duel before the throne!" the Traveler posted their challenge.
"Proceed." the Shogun gave the go-ahead.
"You're full of surprises today." Signora mused. "So, you've learned to make the law of the land work for you too. I'll admit that I never expected to be in a situation where the two of us were on equal footing. You are aware... that the loser must die? Are you sure this is what you want? Then I will deign to share this last dance with you." she accepted the challenge. "Till death do us part."
After the fight...
"So strong..." Signora fell to her knees, knocked out of her 'Crimson Witch of Embers' form. "But... But how... I am a Snezhnayan diplomat." she reminded the Shogun who had drawn her sword and walked down the platform towards her. "You know what happens if you lay a finger on me. I swear, if you strike me, I will make sure the Fatui will make sure that your precious Inazuma... Stop! I order you!" she barked as the Shogun drew nearer. And you!" she glared at the Traveler. "Filthy rats... all of you!"
"You are the enemy of eternity." the Shogun addressed the Traveler after executing Signora with the Musou no Hitotachi. "But as the victor, I acknowledge your honor. Therefore, I shall allow you to leave Tenshukaku alive."
SailorStar9: Any OOC-ness is regretted. *Grins* Don't you just love plot bunnies sometimes? Reviews are much appreciated.
