Queen Aleena:*off-screen* As my children learned about each other, they also learned from each other. And sometimes, the road to learning took them to far away places.

(Ayla's POV)

*Today, Sonic & I were in our house, washing the van. It was covered in mud from our last mission. Sonia then walked in & almost went past us until Sonic stopped her*

Sonic: Could use a little help here.

Sonia: And get dirty? No way.

*She went to the room she & I shared. I rolled my eyes*

Ayla:*in her mind* I love Sonia like a sister, but that girly side of her can get really annoying sometimes.

*Soon, the whole van was covered in suds*

Sonic: Oh, man. This is gonna take about . . . *he zoomed around the van, wiping away the suds until the van was squeaky clean* A second.

*I rolled my eyes & clapped my hands*

Ayla: Very impressive. *In her mind* Just like the first 10,000 times I've seen my other brother do this.

*He then zoomed into and room & I went after him. Sonia was working on a computer panel when we found her*

Sonic: Hey, sis. You can come out now. Work's done.

*She turned to us, revealing her hair tied back & her face covered in mud. Sonic yelped in surprise & I tried to hold in my snickers*

Ayla: Uh . . . Sonia. Don't look now, but I think lunch exploded all over your face.

Sonia: Very funny, you two. It's a mud pack.

Sonic: You hate getting dirty, but you smear mud all over your face?

Ayla: Very pretty.

Sonia: It's a special cosmetic mud from Tashistan.

Sonia & Ayla: Mud.

Sonic: Which is dirt, plus water.

*Sonia groaned. She then turned to me, as I was still trying not to laugh*

Sonia: Laugh it up, missy. Because one of these days, I'm gonna put a mud pack on your face, even if I have to tie you to a chair!

*I gulped. I knew she really meant it. Manic then walked in, holding a scroll*

Manic:*clearing his throat* It is rumored that in the catacombs beneath the Palace, lies the Royal journal of her Majesty, Aleena.

*All three of us gasped*

Sonic: Palace? Where?

*Soon, we were on the road, heading to the location in the scroll*

Sonia: There it is! Tashistan!

Sonic: Home of your favorite mud, Sonia.

Sonia: Give it a rest, Sonic.

*Just then, I noticed something*

Ayla: Guys, look!

*I pointed towards the sky. It was multiple very familiar ships*

Manic: Whoa! Sleet and Dingos tribute ship!

Sonia: Great timing. Maybe we should wait until they leave.

Ayla: I'm with Sonia. It probably best if we law low until they're gone.

Sonic: Nah. What's the difference? Actually, having them right here makes me feel right at home.

*We stopped the van in an alleyway & then jumped out, each of us carrying some equipment*

Sonia: We need a plan to get to the Royal Journal without being seen by Robuttnik's bad boys. Suggestions?

Manic: I vote for the sewer.

*Went went inside & abandoned house*

Sonic: Sewer sounds good to me.

Ayla: Me too.

Sonia: Wait a minute. I say we use disguises. We can walk in right past the guards.

Sonic: But why take a chance?

Ayla: I think I know. No sewer, also means, no dirt.

Sonia: You got that right, Ayla. I won't set foot in a smelly dirty sewer again.

*She toon out a blue shawl & started to wrap it around her head, as she headed towards the door. Sonic got in front of her*

Sonic: Ooh, how about we go as mud wrestlers? Then we could be in disguise, and get beautiful at the same time.

Sonia: Oh, haha, funny! *she walked out the door* You do it your way, I'll do it mine.

*The guys laughed & I rolled my eyes*

Sonic: Was it something I said?

*I rolled my eyes, grabbed a green shawl from Sonia's bag, wrapped it around my head (look up "Ayla - Headscarf #1" by "SwanGirl24" on "DeviantArt"), & headed towards the door*

Sonic: Where ya goin', little sis?

Ayla: After Sonia. That mud joke is getting old real fast.

*I left, leaving the guys shrugging in confusion*

*I caught up with Sonia & we walked through a marketplace. We hid out faces further when an orange Surveillance Bot with a very familiar face went past us*

Sonia & Ayla: Dingo!

Ayla: Let's follow him & find out what he & Dingo are up to. You follow him. I'll go another way & cut him off.

Sonia: You got it.

*We both split up. I went one way & Sonia went after Dingo. I hid from a few Swat-Bots. When I reached an intersection, I found Dingo passed out on the ground, but Sonia was nowhere around*

Ayla: Sonia? Sonia, where are you!? Sonia!

*I ran back to the house, but Sonia wasn't there. I then found Sonic & Manic*

Ayla: Guys! *they turned to me* We got a problem!

Sonic: I know. Sonia's missing!

Manic: Let's beat feet & find her! I'll check from the rooftops.

*He started climbing the side of a house. Sonic zoomed down the street one way. I got out my board & went down the other*

*We met up again a hour later*

Sonic: Anything?

Manic: My bud, leader of the thieves guild, says there were no arrests today.

Sonic: Thieves guild?

Ayla: Nothing on my end either.

*We decided to do a double check & met up again*

Sonia: Nada. Zip. Nothing.

Manic: Same here.

Ayla: Me too.

Manic: But I an idea. How about a song?

Sonic: Yeah, like I really feel like singing right now.

Ayla: No, Chili-Brain. He means that of we play a song, Sonia will hear it and find us.

Manic: Yeah. What she said.

Sonic: Not bad. Glad I thought of it.

*I rolled my eyes*

Ayla:*in her mind* Oh, brother.

*We summoned out instruments & jumped on to some piled up boxes.

Manic: 1, 2, 3!

*We all started playing & singing together. Our music drew a crowd & they cheered for us*

*Ayla, Sonic, & Manic singing*

*Just then, I saw Sonia in the crowd, dancing with a beige male dog with orange hair, tan skin, two large flat ears, brown eyes, a big black nose, & wearing a a small purple & gold fez, a gold earring on his left ear, a purple vest with a gold fringe over a dark red shirt, purple pants, & gray shoes*

Raphi Hajani: They're good.

Sonia: Yeah, but something's missing. I think it's me.

*Ayla, Sonic, & Manic singing*

*He pointed at Sonia. The crowd cheered for her beautiful dancing. Suddenly, Swat-Bots came running towards the crowd, causing everyone to run away. Sonic, Manic, & I got caught in the crowd trying to get to Sonia*

Sonic: Hang on, guys.

*By the time we caught up to Sonia & her new friend, she was covered in green slime*

Sonic: Uh-oh? They messed up.

Manic: Oh, stand back. She's gonna blow.

*But instead of getting mad, she jumped down from a pot she was standing on & turned to her new friend*

Sonia: Come on! Let's go!

*All three of us were stunned*

Ayla: She got dirty and didn't even scream.

Manic: Is that our Sonia?

Swat-Bot: HALT! YOU ARE UNDER ARREST.

*We dodged a laser from it & were soon surrounded by more*

Sonic: Outta here!

*He jumped away just before they all hit each other at once. We then saw Sonia & her friend being pulled into a tribute ship by a beam*

Ayla: Sonia!

Sonia: Ayla! Sonic! Manic!

*The ship flew away*

*We went down to the sewer & zoomed through it until we reached the main pipe leading to the Palace*

Sonic: Yuck! What a smell!

*I pinched my nose*

Ayla: No wonder Sonia hates it down here. No offense, Manic.

Manic: None taken. Besides, it's not so bad once you get used to it. Come on.

*We then started walking through the water coming out of the pipe*

Sonic: Yuck. I hate water.

*It started to get dark, so Manic pulled out a flashlight. A grate was blocking the end of the pipe*

Manic: Not so bad. We can squeeze right through.

*Suddenly, part of the water in front of us bubbled & Dingo came out of it. He grabbed all three of us by the ankle & pulled us under*

Dingo: Eat muck!

*Sonic then broke free & pulled us out, all of us coughing*

Ayla: So . . . What kind of disguise should we use to get into the Palace?

Ayla:*in her mind* I had to ask.

*All three of us were now dressed as dancers. The boys were wearing wigs, make-up, jewelery, dresses, & gold shoes. I was wearing make-up, jewelery, & red pants, & gold shoes (look up "Ayla - Arabian Girl Disguise" by "SwanGirl24" on "DeviantArt")*

Manic:*to Sonic* Actually, you're looking pretty spiffy.

Sonic: So true. *he turned to me* And you look really pretty, Ayla. You should dress like that more often.

Ayla: Oh, zip it. Let's just get this over with. *in her mind* Sonia's never gonna let me live this down.

*The door opened & Sleet came out*

Sonic:*girl voice* Oh, hello.

Sleet: And who are you?

*The boys started dancing & I played along, feeling really embarrassed*

Manic:*girl voice* Uh, the sultan of Tashistan sent us to dance for you.

*They each took Sleet by an arm & went inside. I just followed behind them, feeling nauseous

Sleet: Oh, really.

Manic: Oh, do you work out? You're so strong.

*Soon, all three of us were dancing for Sleet. I noticed he was keeping a really close eye on me, which made me feel even more sick*

Manic: And now my sister, uh . . . Sonicia, will do her version of the whirling dervish for you.

*Sleet turned to Sonic, which gave me & Manic a chance to sneak away*

Sleet: Hmm . . . You remind me of somebody.

*We went into the surveillance room*

Manic: Okay. Let's see. *he pressed a few buttons & a map of the Palace appeared on the screen* The entrance to the catacombs is right next to the dungeon.

Ayla: Perfect. We can kill two birds with one stone.

*We made it back, just as Sleet was looking ready to fall asleep*

Sleet: Wow.

Ayla: And now, for grand finale, the Spin of Passion!

*Sleet looked exited as he clapped. Just then,I noticed Sonia's medallion on his belt. He saw me eyeing it & took it away. Manic acted quickly*

Manic: You're so manly.

*He nodded as Sonic started twirling like a twister. Manic grabbed the medallion as Sonic caught Sleet in his spin & sent him crashing into the ceiling. He then fell to the floor, out cold*

Sleet: Wow. What a woman . . .

*We left him on the floor*

*We made it to the catacombs*

Sonic: Sonia?

*The cell was empty*

Ayla: She's gone.

*Suddenly, something came out of the mucky water, towards us. We gasped in fright**

Sonia:*off-screen* Okay, girls. Just take me to the Roboticizor room and you won't get hurt.

*We turned around to see Sonia, covered in mud*

Sonic: Sonia?

Sonia: Sonic? Manic? Ayla?

Sonic, Sonia, Manic, & Ayla: Yuck!

*We got to the Roboticizor room just as Sonia's friend was put into the Roboticizor*

Raphi Hajani:*off-screen* You may Roboticize me! But you'll never stop the Freedom Fighters!

Sleet: Oh, that's so cliche.

Sonic: Yet so true. *he turned to us* Hiya, big boy.

Sleet: Hedgehogs! Well, you're too late! You'll never save him!

*He pulled a lever*

Dingo: Now, I'm gonna get you!

*He went towards Sonia & she tripped him. Sonic tried to open the Roboticizor, but it wouldn't open*

Sonic: It won't budge!

*I ran towards Sleet*

Ayla: Get away from there!

Sleet: I think not! *he pressed a button & laughed. The control panel started to sink into the floor with him. Dingo jumped in after him & landed on his head**off-screen* OW! You oaf!

Manic: No go, Sonic! He took all the controls with him!

Sonic: Spin and win time!

*He ran around the Roboticizor until it burst open. Sonia's friend was now only half robot. Just like Bunnie*

*Later, we gathered everyone in Tashistan in the square. For a special concert*

Ayla: Hi, everyone! I hope this song will bring hope to you all, just like it brings hope to me.

*Ayla singing*

*We all went back to the Raphi's house. The van was parked outside*

Raphi Hajani: I will miss you, Sonia.

Sonia: Me too, Raphi.

Sonic: Could you get the door, Raphi?

Raphi Hajani: It would be my great pleasure. *he used his new robot legs to kick the door open* Perhaps they have done me a favor.

Sonia: All right, Raphi!

Ayla: Awesome!

*In the van, on our way home, we all read the journals*

Sonia: There's not much here.

Manic: Read it.

Sonia: Okay. According to this, the Seer told her "I will rejoin my children, but there are many roles we all must travel before we are reunited."

Sonic: Hmm . . . Interesting. We came all the way out here for that?

Sonia: Well, we did learn one important thing. Manic makes a much prettier girl than you, Sonic.

Manic:*girl voice* Oh, thank you, darling.

Sonic: Ooh, that hurts.

*We all laughed. When Sonia told me that she saw Mom in the catacombs, I felt really happy. I now had hope that that day we could meet face-to-face would be soon*
