"What do you mean, Bunnix?" asked Ladybug.

"The other two times this has happened a sacrifice had to be made to this world's Cipher in order to save it," said Bunnix.

"No way, we can't do that," said Apple S.

"She's right, there has to be something else for us to do so let's keep searching," said Dipper.

"I'm afraid not, my friends," said the Cipher as he appeared before them.

"A life must be given in order to restore the life taken from this world," he said. As the Cipher spoke, Ladybug pulled out the coin that she had been given.

"That's what my Lucky Charm was for, it was telling me that this is the only way," said Ladybug as she noticed the coin and the Cipher glow with a red and black polka dot pattern each.

"Take me then," said Raven S while walking toward the Cipher.

"Raven," said a surprised Apple S.

"I'm the reason the Eraser Queen was able to harm so many people, so I should be forced to pay for everything I have done," said Raven S.

"No, you are needed in order to help this world advance past the darkness and into a brighter future, but one of the others here knows that it is their time," said the Cipher.

"I do," said Carlos as he walked away from his group.

"Carlos, what are you doing?" asked a surprised Jay.

"I should have told you all sooner," said Carlos before turning back around to face them.

"I was diagnosed with stage three lung cancer months ago before all of this started," he said, which shocked everyone.

"But you have been fine this whole time," said Mal.

"Fairygodmother managed to put a spell on me that made it so that I showed no signs of being sick, but the cancer couldn't be stopped, and I've only got a little bit of time left now anyway," said Carlos.

"If my death can be used to save others then I'll gladly accept it," he said.

"Say your good-byes and then I'll start the ritual, which no one can be present for," said the Cipher.

"I can't believe it," said Jay as he and everyone else hugged Carlos while crying.

"Wish I had told you all sooner, maybe we could have had one more fun day," said Carlos who was also crying.
