Sinking Fast-Ch 24
Penelope had been having an amazing day, first she went shopping with Sarah and Desi and then they had met up with JJ and Emily and had an early brunch and then JJ had a great idea. Her idea was a spa afternoon, an idea that everybody was fast to jump on, especially Penelope who wanted to enjoy a day of pampering with her besties.
As they all laid there getting their massages the girls got their chances to ask questions about how things were going with Derek, she lightly blushed as she filled them in on some of the details. JJ grinned and said, "he really loves you Garcie, I've never seen him this way before", Emily said, "and going to and coming home from a case he is constantly talking to us about you".
Penelope said, "about me, really"?, JJ said, "ohhhh yes really, that boy is head over heels in love with you", Penelope said, "and the feeling is mutual girlies of that I can assure you". Sarah said, "was it love at first sight"?, Penelope said, "when we met on Mark and Marcie's yacht it was like I started tingling all over my body and then when he touched me the first time, oohhhhh I felt like I was in total and complete bliss".
Desi said, "and then all of that stuff with Ricardo had to happen and mess up the vibe"?, Penelope said, "true but being in the water and on that small island with hotstuff for that short time made me realize just how much me meant to me". The girls all listened as she said, "at first I thought it was to soon to feel that way and then I was like, no don't feel like that, life is to short and if you have feelings, like really really have feelings for somebody you should go for it".
When the massages were done the girls all sat up and Emily looked at her friend and said, "I couldn't have said it better myself PG, after all we should live life and enjoy it as much as possible I say" and the others all nodded their heads yes in agreement as they all then got dressed and headed out to grab some tea before heading to the next destination.
Meanwhile at the planned destination Derek sighed happily as he sat waiting on his girl to show up, the plan was for everybody to be at the park but to stay hidden until Derek said the magic words. When he said the magic words they were to come out and stand in the correct order so that hopefully she would say yes to him and agree to spend the rest of her life with him.
On the walk to the car JJ looked up into a store window and saw a beautiful dress that she just knew had Penelope's name on it, she said, "hey Garcie let's go in here, I think you should try on this dress". Penelope said, "I don't know Jayje, do you think I could actually pull that dress off, I mean look at me", Sarah said, "we are and you are beautiful, I would kill for those curves of yours".
Penelope said, "really"?, Sarah said, "most definitely and with you wearing that dress my brother isn't going to be able to keep his hands or anything else off of you" and the girls all giggled as they headed into the store. A few minutes later Penelope walked out of the store wearing the hip hugging black spaghetti strap dress and she had to admit it, she loved the dress and actually felt beautiful in it.
While they were driving JJ said, "how about we stop by the park and show Garcie the pond, it's so beautiful this time of year", everybody quickly agreed and soon their car was pulling over. They got out and as they walked Penelope looked around at her beautiful surroundings and they were right the park was amazingly beautiful and soon they were coming up on the pond.
They all stood there watching as Penelope was deep in thought and when she wasn't paying any attention to them they all snuck off and hid with the others behind the huge bushes. Penelope sighed and said, "so guys what do you want to do next"? and when she turned around they were all gone and she found herself totally and utterly alone.
She said, "uhhh where is everybody"? and Derek walked up the path toward her and said, "well don't you look gorgeous", she blushed and said, "hey hotstuff" as she looked around for the others. Derek said, "are you expecting somebody else"?, Penelope said, "the others were just here and now I can't find them anywhere".
Derek laughed and said, "baby girl we need to talk", he then took her by the hands and said, "I love you baby girl, you are the best thing that has ever or will ever happen to me". Penelope grinned and continued listening as he said, "you are so beautiful, sweet, kind and have one of the biggest hearts in this world and i love you so so much".
Penelope said, "and I love you so much to hotstuff", Derek said, "Penelope, baby girl"?, she then heard a noise and turned to see everybody standing behind her, even Jack, Henry and of course Clooney and Mudgie and in their hands they were holding signs that spelled out "WILL YOU MARRY ME" and Mudgie was wearing a little tie around his neck and he was holding the question mark.
She turned back around to see Derek on one knee squatting in front of her with Clooney who was wearing an identical tie to Mudgies and from his neck was dangling a beautiful engagement ring, Derek took the ring from around Clooney's neck and said, "Penelope Grace Garcia will you do me the honor of marrying me"?, with tears streaming down her face she said, "yes, yes, yes" and he slid the ring onto her finger and then stood up and pulled her into his arms and claimed her lips with his.
They pulled apart to the sounds of hands clapping, whistling and dogs barking, it was only a matter of a few seconds before they were surrouned by their family and pulled into hug after hug as they celebrated their engagement.
