Sinking Fast-Ch 25
Penelope couldn't wait to call Marcie and tell her the good news and while Derek was over talking to the others for a few minutes that's exactly what she did and she couldn't really say that she was surprised that her friend already knew. Marcie and Mark were both so happy and excited for Derek and Penelope and Marcie had told her that they knew that Derek and Penelope were meant to be together that it was obvious from the first time they met.
Marcie promised that her and Mark would come for a visit soon and Penelope promised to keep her updated on the wedding plans and then as her call ended a few minutes later she smiled as she felt two strong arms wrap around her. She grinned and said, "you know my fiancee will be here soon and he's a very jealous man" and Derek laughed and said, "with a woman as sexy as you he'd better be jealous".
Penelope said, "ohhh trust me he is, he is and he is without a doubt the sexiest man I have ever seen", Derek leaned down and kissed the side of her neck and said, "is that sooooo, well is he good to you"?, Penelope said, "ohhh yes, he's an amazing man and we're going to be married and as far as I'm concerned the sooner the better" and then she turned around to face Derek who leaned in and pressed his lips gently against hers.
When they pulled apart he said, "really, you really want to get married soon"?, Penelope bit down on her bottom lip and nodded her head yes and said, "I do, I want to get married while it's still nice outside". Derek said, "if it were up to me we would get married right here, right now today" and Penelope said, "I'd like that butttttt Marcie and Mark would kill us and you know it", he sighed and said, "sooo true baby girl, soooo true".
He intertwined fingers with Penelope as they made their way over to the others, she sighed and said, "sooooo who's idea was it to do this today"?, Derek said, "wellllllll it was a plan that we all decided on, you aren't mad are you"?, she laughed and said, "no, no, I loved it, you even had Jack, Henry, Clooney and Mudgie in on it and I can safely say that I will never forget today".
As they made it over to the others Derek said, "well baby girl and I have talked and we've made a decision", everybody looked at him and Fran said, "what decision was that baby boy"?, Derek looked at his bride-to-be and then back at their family and said, "we want to get married as soon as possible" causing everybody to grin.
Hotch said, "wellllllll I might be able to pull a few strings and get the license pretty fast for you", Dave said, "and I'll get a minister" and Fran, Sarah and Desi looked at each other and Fran said, "me and the girls will get a small reception dinner ready". JJ and Emily walked over to Penelope and said, "and we'll take the bride to get a dress" and Penelope said, "I don't have to have a new dress, I can wear something that I already have".
Derek said, "ohhhhhhhhh but no, you are only gonna get married once baby girl and since we both want a small wedding, I still want you to have the dress that you want", she sighed and said, "alright, alright a new dress it is". Reid said, "and we need to get Morgan all tuxed up too" and Derek said, "well I guess I can do that, especially since my baby girl is gonna get all dolled up for me".
Penelope laughed and said, "alright then so when and where should this wedding take place because we need to let Mark and Marcie know so that they can both be here"?, Dave looked at Hotch and then said, "how about we make plans to do it on Monday that way we will have the weekend to get everything taken care of".
Fran said, "and for the where, how about in our garden, it is so beautiful this time of year", Penelope looked up at Derek who was smiling happily down at her, he gently squeezed her hand and then looked around at all of the family who were smiling and then he blew out a deep breath as he readied to speak
Derek grinned at his baby girl and said, "sounds good to me, what about you sweetness"?, she said, "sounds good to me too handsome" and then that's when everybody split up. Reid and Derek went to get him a tux, Dave and Hotch went another way to get the license and minister taken care of and Fran smiled and said, "me, Sarah and Desi will head home and get started on the reception dinner plans".
Fran looked at JJ and Emily and said, "and if it's okay with you two we can take Henry and Jack home with us that way they can keep Clooney and Mudgie entertained for us while we make the plans". JJ looked at the boys and said, "what about it boys, do you like that idea"?, they quickly said, "YEAHHHHHHHHHH" and ran over to hug their mothers before running back over to Fran, the girls and the dogs.
As Penelope, Emily and JJ headed toward their car Penelope couldn't stop smiling because she was going to get married to the best man in the world and it would be taking place in two days. She blew out a deep breath as she made a mental note of everything they would need to do and first off was calling Marcie back to tell her the good news.
Needless to say that Marcie was totally excited about the upcoming wedding and promised that her and Mark would be there Sunday evening and insisted that they all get together and go out for dinner, her and Marks treat for the soon-to-be married couple to which the girls quickly and happily agreed to.
