RAW is WAR: 24/8/1998
RAW is WAR was live at the Corestates Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The RAW intro video plays and the pyro goess off as the show broadcasts from it's location around the world on TV.
"The final stop on the highway to hell that will end this Sunday at SummerSlam is live in Philadelphia." JR said to get started for those watching at home. "And the center is sold out for over a month. I'm Jim Ross alongside Jerry the King Lawler, and we just saw the Undertaker, the Bladewolf and Kane walk out of a locker room and King... I think that puts the final nail in the coffin."
"it does! i told you! There's some kind of alliance! The brothers have united together!" Jerry said as the RAW theme dies down and a bell tolls
"Well, seems we'll get our answers here tonight." JR said before a wolf howl goes off and fire explodes on the stage as Undertaker's theme plays.
The lights dim to the dark blue of the Undertaker and the crowd comes unglued as the Undertaker, the Bladewolf AND Kane walk out together.
"And there they come!" Jr said.
"Look at that!" Jerry exclaimed.
"What an auspicious occasion." JR said as the three brothers make their way down towards the ring. "History in the making right here tonight. The first time publicly that Kane, the Bladewolf and the Undertaker walk side by side, step for step, brother with brother and that means trouble for Stone Cold Steve Austin this Sunday on PPV at SummerSlam for the WWF title, and perhaps trouble for the Rock and Triple H who Bladewolf faces in a Triple Threat Ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship."
"I can't believe it, JR!" Jerry shook his head. "Kane, the Undertaker and the Bladewolf walking together! Brothers finally united!"
Undertaker walks up the steel steps as Kane and Bladewolf wait at the end of the ramp before they get onto the ring apron, waiting for Undertaker to turn the lights back to normal before they step over the top rope and enter the ring. Undertaker joins his brothers in the ring as Undertaker grabs a microphone while Bladewolf and Kane stand side by side for the first time since their tag team match back in February.
Bladewolf tilts his head up to stare at the Hell in a Cell.
"Bladewolf, staring at the Hell in a Cell." JR noted. "God forbid he ever faces someone inside that demonic structure. We've seen what he can do with no rules restricting him, imagine what he can do to someone inside the Devil's playground."
Jerry shivered. "It'd be worse than when Shawn Michaels and Mankind faced the Undertaker in it!"
Undertaker's theme dies down as the brothers stand together. Before Undertaker could speak, the fans start booing as a smug Vince McMahon starts walking down the ramp towards the ring as the three brothers turn their gazes to him.
"And here comes the owner of the World Wrestling Federation, Mr. McMahon." JR said. "Maybe he can share some of his 'wisdom' and some light on this subject."
"Well he's obviously happy about this!" Jerry points out as Vince does indeed look happy to see all three brothers standing together.
"Well today is his birthday, so he's got a lot to be happy about, I suppose." JR said with a shrug.
"What a present that is in the ring!" Jerry exclaimed as Vince enters the ring, the Bladewolf, the Undertaker and Kane watching him.
"Well finally, Undertaker, Bladewolf and Kane have come out of the casket." Vince said with a smirk as the fans boo a bit while the brothers continue to watch Vince. "After all those lies, finally we get to the truth. And the truth is, ladies and gentlemen, I told you so!" The crowd booed him loudly. "Let me repeat that: The truth is I told you so! There's no doubt that Undertaker, Bladewolf and Kane combined make the most destructive force in the history of the World Wrestling Federation. And there's no doubt that with Kane and Bladewolf at your side this Sunday at SummerSlam, there's no doubt that you don't need Vince McMahon to become the WWF Champion at SummerSlam. Because let me go on record since we're telling the truth, with or without Vince McMahon, with your brothers at your side, you will be the World Wrestling Federation Champion once again at SummerSlam. However, Undertaker, as you look to your reign as WWF Champion there will come a time where you'll need Vince McMahon. You'll need Vince McMahon for my wisdom. You'll need Vince McMahon for my brilliant strategy." Undertaker bends down to pick a microphone up. "Undertaker, I'm talking to you."
Vince approached Undertaker but backed up when the Phenom took a step towards him with a dark glare on his face. Vince gets over his nervousness and continues.
"You will need Vince McMahon for my friendship. And so, Undertaker, I ask you... Vince McMahon: Friend or foe?"
"Friend! Friend!" Jerry said, sucking up as usual.
"Now before this night is over..." Vince continues. "You think about that, but before this night is over, I want an answer. Vince McMahon: Friend or foe?"
the crowd boos when Paul Bearer starts making his way down to the ring with a unpleasant expression on his face. Kane bows his head in almost shame as Bladewolf and Undertaker stare coldly at the man that they believed poisoned Kane against them for most of their sibling rivalry in the WWF.
Paul enters the ring as Vince puts the microphone to Paul's mouth. The fans start chanting for Austin as the three brothers stare at Paul, well undertaker and Bladewolf do, Kane doesn't as he keeps his head lowered.
"Son! Tell me it's not true!" Paul begged as Kane keeps his head lowered. "Tell me it's all been a lie! tell me it's all been a dreadful nightmare! It's me! Your father's talking to you! I'm the one who's always been there for you, the one who's always took care of you, the one that's always loved you! Something your own mother didn't even do, that sleazy whore!"
This caused Bladewolf and Undertaker to take threatening steps to the man when Kane stopped them by putting his arm in front of them, causing Bladewolf and Undertaker to look at Kane.
"You two stay out of this." Paul told Undertaker and Bladewolf who turned to look at him as Paul continues speaking to Kane. "Look me in the eye, son! Look me in the eyes! The same blood that runs through my veins runs through yours! I've never lied to you. You know who's being honest, and you know who's being deceitful!" Paul pointed at Undertaker. "Listen to me, son, I'm your dad. Do one last thing for me if you never do anything else... destroy the Undertaker!"
"Woah!" Jerry exclaimed as Kane turns to look at his brothers who stare back at him. "Paul Bearer wants Kane to turn on his brothers!"
"And Bladewolf..." Pual begins, gaining the Demon Wolf's attention. "You too can turn from your brother! It's obvious he has you under some kind of control! Resist it and destroy the Undertaker!"
Kane turns away while the Undertaker nods at Bladewolf... WHO STRIKES PAUL BEARER IN THE FACE! Bladewolf and Undertaker unload on Paul for what he called their mother as Kane doesn't make any move to help his father nor help his brothers.
Mankind comes running down the ramp, slides into the ring and just stands there with his back to them, allowing Bladewolf to nail him from behind as Bladewolf starts stomping away on Mankind in the corner, and Kane joins him as Undertaker continues to beat on Paul Bearer. Bladewolf then starts going to the top rope as Kane lifts Mankind into the Tombston position while Undertaker watches. Bladewolf jumps off... AND THEY HIT A SPIKE TOMBSTONE!
"A spike Tombstone by Bladewolf and Kane on Mankind!" JR exclaimed as Bladewolf and Kane stand and look down at the down and out Mankind,
Vince gets on the apron with a microphone. "And now Undertaker, let me remind you that there is one man left standing between you and the WWF Championship and that one man is quaking in his books as we speak! That one man that you will defeat at SummerSlam, Stone Cold Steve Austin!"
Stone Cold's theme hits to a loud pop, gaining the brothers' attention as Austin comes out, clearly not scared that the three brothers are together. Austin has a microphone in one of his hands, the Smoking Skull WWF belt in the other as he eyes the men at the ring.
"I knew all along that you three were together and you're having a little family reunion, and I damn near got all choked up in the back because I feel happy for ya!" Austin said. "SummerSlam is six days away and I know better than ever it will take a hell of an effort on Stone Cold Steve Austin's part to beat one of ya! To beat you, Undertaker, it will take a hell of an effort. But against all three of you big bastards, I know I ain't got much of a chance. So you can rest assured, you better grow some eyes in the back of your heads, because Stone Cold Steve Austin is gonna take somebody out tonight! You stand there and you think you got into Stone Cold's head, I'm gonna tell ya something, when I get your ass at SummerSlam... I'm gonna burn your ass and that's the bottom line cause Stone Cold said so!"
Austin's theme plays as Austin and the Undertaker stare each other down...
The Hell in a Cell is lowered to the ring as Bladewolf was set to take on Mankind for the first time ever. Bladewolf has only faced one of Mick Foley's three faces and that's Dude Love, now he'll be taking on the deranged Mankind inside the demonic structure known as Hell in a Cell.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
The Devil's Wolf plays and the lights dim to a mix of sinister blood red and dark blue before fire explodes on the stage and out comes the Bladewolf with the Undertaker and Kane on either side of him, the WWF Intercontinental Championship around Bladewolf's waist.
"The following contest is a Hell in a Cell match, scheduled for one-fall! Introducing first, accompanied by Kane and the Undertaker, weighing 310 lbs, he is the WWF Intercontinental Champion... THE BLADEWOLF!" Tony Chimel announced.
"This is not gonna be very good for Mankind' health." JR said. "letting him face Bladewolf inside this demonic structure... it's just crazy! Mankind already went through hell with the Undertaker inside this cell at King of the Ring... now he'll be facing the far more sadistic and eviller little brother of the Undertaker inside the cell."
Bladewolf enters the doorway, looking the cell over and enjoying the feeling of being inside it. He takes off his coat and tosses it aside, then takes off the Intercontinental Championship which he hands to the Undertaker before he enters and slams the door shut behind him, climbing onto the ring apron and stepping foot over the top rope.
"Bladewolf looks at home." Jerry noted.
"He does." JR nodded.
Bladewolf's theme dies down as the lights go to normal and Bladewolf stares at the entrance. Undertaker and Kane walk around to stand near the commentary tables as Mankkind's theme plays and out he comes, making his way down towards the cell. He tries climbing it but the referees pull him down as they don't want to see another repeat of King of the Ring. Mankind punches the referees until Bladewolf grows impatient and leaves the ring to get Mankind himself.
Mankind shoves the door right into Bladewolf's arm then his masked face, sending Bladewolf back a little as Bladewolf shales the blow off.
"This is gonna get ugly quick." JR said.
Mankind runs and drives his knee into Bladewolf's chest, getting a grunt from the masked monster. Mankind grabs the cell door... AND SLAMS IT INTO BLADEWOLF'S HEAD! This sends Bladewolf onto his side as mankind exits and walks around the cell to the commentary tables, Kane and Undertaker having moved to stand on another side to see the action better.
"What is he doing?" Jerry asks as Mankind picks up a chair and tries to toss it onto the roof of the cell but it falls down. Mankind tries again but can't get the chair up, so he begins climbing it, nearly reaching the top when Kane and Undertaker walk around on either side and climb up so they can grab Mankind... AND THROW HIM DOWN INTO THE ANNOUNCE TABLE!
"Oh god! Not again!" JR exclaimed as Undertaker and Kane jump down. "It's happened again! Mankind's body just splattered through the Spanish announce table!"
"I knew this was gonna happen!" Jerry exclaimed.
Bladewolf had walked over and he grabs Mankind by his hair before he drives his right fist into mankind's stomach several times then holds him... AND HITS A BELLY-TO-BELLY AGAINST THE CELL WALL!
"Good grief!" JR exclaimed. "Bladewolf's gonna put Mankind through hellish torture!"
Bladewolf grabs one of the chairs and folds it before lifting it up... AND SMACKS IT OFF MANKIND'S BACK! Bladewolf raises the chair again and... WHACKS IT OFF MANKIND'S BACK AGAIN! Bladewolf raises the chair and continues to beat Mankind down with it before he drops the chair, picks Mankind up onto his right shoulder... BEFORE RAMMING HIM FACE-FIRST INTO THE CELL WALL!
"Evil is all around us here." JR said as Bladewolf picks up a piece of the announce table and tosses it onto Mankind's body.
"This is supposed to be inside the cell! Somebody get them inside the cell!" Jerry exclaimed.
Bladewolf grabs Mankind and drags him back to where the door of the cell is and tosses him through the open door. Bladewolf enters before he holds the door open, places Mankind's head in the middle... AND SLAMS THE DOOR INTO MANKIND'S HEAD!
"Oh god!" JR winces with sympathy for Mankind. "That's steel meeting flesh, ladies and gentlemen."
Bladewolf grabs Mankind and tosses him into the ring as a referee comes in and shuts the door, locking it while Kane and the Undertaker remain outside the cell to watch. Bladewolf picks up the steel steps and tosses it into the ring before he slides in and picks the steps up as mankind gets to his feet... ONLY TO GET BASHED IN THE SHOULDER WITH THE STEPS!
Bladewolf lifts the steps up... AND BRINGS THEM DOWN ONTO MANKIND'S BACK!
"Oh god!" Jerry said.
Bladewolf tosses the steps down as mankind rolls out the ring and tries pulling himself to his feet using the cell but Bladewolf rolls out and brings his boot into Mankind's ribs, then uppercuts him to the floor. Bladewolf then yanks Mankind up by the hair before he pushes his face against the cell wall... AND GRINDS IT AGAINST THE CELL!
"Oh god! Bladewolf is trying to disfigure Mankind!" JR exclaimed as Bladewolf stops to rip Mankind's mask off and tosses it over his shoulder into the ring then continues to grind Mankind's face against the cell wall left and right for several seconds before he pulls Mankind back and rams him head-first into the cell wall again, sending Mankind down onto his back.
Bladewolf takes out a steel chair from underneath the ring and waits until Mankind makes it back to his feet... BEFORE SMACKING THE CHAIR RIGHT OFF HIS FORHEAD! MANKIND HAS BEEN BUSTED OPEN! MANKIND IS BLEEDING!
"That chair shot bused Mankind right open!" JR exclaimed.
Bladewolf tosses the chair aside as he gets to a knee and starts hammering away on Mankind's bleeding forehead before he gets up, tosses Mankind into the ring and slides in after him, raising his right hand to signal a Chokeslam looming as a weak and struggling Mankind weakly makes it to his feet and turns around... INTO A GOOZLE! Bladewolf lifts Mankind up... AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM!
"Chokeslam! Chokeslam! Chokeslam!" JR exclaimed.
Bladewolf does the cutthroat taunt next before he grabs Mankind, lifts him into a fireman's carry... AND HITS THE WOLF'S WRATH! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THREE! THE BLADEWOLF BEATS MANKIND!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
The Devil's Wolf plays as Bladewolf stands up and flips his hair back, wiping Mankind's bloody across his upper attire and his mask as Undertaker and Kane look on in approval when suddenly Stone Cold's theme plays to a loud pop from the fans, and Undertaker and Kane turn to the entrance as they wait for the Rattlesnake... WHEN THE RATTLESNAKE COMES OUT FROM UNDERNEATH THE RING AND JUMPS BLADEWOLF!
"The Rattlesnake's attacking Bladewolf!" JR exclaimed as Undertaker and Kane see this and try to get into the cell but the door is locked shut.
Austin keeps up his assault on Bladewolf before picking up the steel chair Bladewolf used on mankind as Bladewolf gets to his feet and turns around... INTO A CHAIR SHOT RIGHT OFF THE TOP OF THE HEAD! Bladewolf sits up a second later and gets to his feet... BUT AUSTIN HITS THE CHAIR OFF THE BACK OF THE HEAD! Bladewolf goes down and rolls onto his back before he sits up... BUT AUSTIN SMACKS HIM IN THE MASKED FACE WITH THE CHAIR!
Austin slams the chair down on Bladewolf's head time and time again until blood is seen on it that was not from when it was used on Mankind Austin sees this, drops the chair and yanks on Bladewolf's hair and the top of his head before pulling his hand away... to reveal blood.
"Austin made Bladewolf bleed!" JR exclaimed in shock since this is the first time Bladewolf has bled on WWF TV.
Austin gives the double bird to Undertaker and Kane as Bladewolf weakly sits up and gets to his feet before he is turned around, kicked in the stomach... AND GIVEN A STONE-COLD STUNNER!
Austin poses over Bladewolf as his theme plays, giving Undertaker the middle finger as well as Kane...
