Sinking Fast-Ch 28

The two excited couples got dressed and headed to Fran and Dave's, they had left their wedding clothes there since they were getting married there in the garden it only made sense to leave their clothes there too. Dave smiled as he stepped aside allowing the two smiling couples to come in, when he closed the door he said, "okayyyy, what's with the glowing faces here, what's up"?, Penelope said, "is everybody else already here"? to which Dave said, "yes, they're in the dining room eating some fresh donuts and muffins".

Penelope said, "come on then papa bear let's gooooooooo" and Dave laughed as Penelope practically dragged him toward the huge dining room so they could join the others for breakfast. Fran smiled when she saw her future daughter-in-law walking into the room and she could instantly tell that something was different about her, she was practically glowing and Penelope took her hotstuff by the hand and they stood at the head of the table.

Everybody looked at her as she cleared her throat, she said, "Derek and I have something to tell you" and Fran crossed her fingers under the table, hoping that she was right on her hunch. Penelope said, "we're pregnant, we're going to have a baby" and everybody jumped up from the table and started congratulating the happy couple and hugging them at the same time.

Mark and Marcie laughed as they watched their new family, it was so obvious that the baby Penelope was carrying was going to be spoiled rotten by everybody in this room including her and Mark. Fran pulled out a chair and said, "sit honey, sit and eat, eat, eat, after all you are eating for two now" as she put a saucer down in front of Penelope with donuts and muffins in it and she poured her a cup of tea and handed it to her.

Penelope said, "thank you all so much, I can't tell you what your support means to us" and Reid said, "we're a family Garcia and family is alwayssssss there for family" causing Penelope to reach up and wipe away the tears that were falling down her cheeks as she nodded her head yes in agreement.

Dave said, "alright everybody let's enjoy this delicious food because soon we have to start getting ready for the wedding" and the next hour or so was spent eating, laughing, talking and making plans for a dual baby shower for Penelope and Marcie. After everybody was finished eating the men headed to one of the huge bedrooms downstairs and the women headed upstairs to get dressed and ready for the huge day that laid ahead.

Henry and Jack were already dressed and watching Nemo in the living room with Mudgie and Clooney sleeping at their feet and since Mark and Marcie were already dressed they stayed downstairs with the boys until the men got dressed and made their way back into the living room, then Marcie excused herself and headed up stairs to join the women and helping get the bride ready for the ceremony.

Dave looked at Derek and said, "so are you ready for this"?, Derek said, "you mean the baby or the wedding"?, Dave laughed and said, "both" and Derek said, "I am sooooo ready for this, I can't wait to marry baby girl and I am so excited about this baby and I can't wait to hold him or her".

Meanwhile upstairs the women were all laughing as they helped the bride into her dress and helped with her hair and makeup and when they were through she looked amazing, just like a princess. Fran stood back smiling and said, "you are going to make a wonderful mommy for my grandbabies", Penelope said, "please don't make me cry anymore'' causing Fran to pull the young woman into her arms and into a motherly hug, one that she desperately needed and wanted.

A few minutes later their conversation stopped when they heard somebody knocking on the door, JJ walked over and said, "come in Dave, come in" as she stepped back so he could come inside. He said, "kitten you look amazing", Penelope said, "thank you papa bear, thank you", Dave said, "sorry to interrupt you but it's time to get you married off to the very nervous man outside".

Fran and the others hugged her and made their way outside while JJ and Emily told her they would meet her outside, she nodded her head yes and blew out a deep breath as she watched them disappear out of sight. Dave then held out his arm and said, "let's get you married then kitten", she wrapped her hand around his arm and said, "yes let's" and the two then walked out of the room arm in arm with smiles covering their faces.
