Sinking Fast-Ch 29
Derek stood nervously at the top of the aisle and weakly smiled, as he looked around everything looked so beautiful and the flowers smelled amazing and only made the area more romantic, he was pulled from his thoughts as he watched first Emily and then JJ as they made their way up the flower petal path and stopped across from him, Reid and Hotch.
The music then changed to the Wedding March and he held his breath as he watched Dave and Penelope appear at the top of the aisle and stop, ohhh she looked so beautiful and the way that dress hugged every curve made him inwardly moan. As he watched her start slowly making her way toward him he couldn't help but smile, he was smiling not only because today she would become his wife but also to the fact that they were soon going to be parents.
Penelope felt her heart racing as she got closer and closer to Derek, he looked so handsome standing there in his tux, she bit down on her lip and giggled as she couldn't help but wish that this part and the reception was over so that she could spend the rest of the night making love to her ohhhh so sexy new hubby.
She was pulled back to reality by the music as she was now standing across from Derek, Dave took her hand and put it into Derek's and then kissed her cheek and said, "you look so beautiful kitten". He then walked over and stood beside Fran and everybody then watched as Derek and Penelope turned to face the minister so the ceremony could continue.
The minister looked over the small group that was assembled and said, "marriage is what brings us all together today, the marriage of Derek Michael Morgan and Penelope Grace Garcia". Dave and Fran intertwined fingers as did Mark and Marcie as they watched Derek and Penelope as they smiled lovingly at each other as the minister said a quick prayer.
Dave stood up as the minister said, "who gives this woman to this man in marriage", Dave said, "her family and I do", he then winked at Penelope and then sat back down beside Fran. The minister then looked at JJ and Reid and asked for the rings, Derek blew out a deep breath as the minister said, "I understand that you two have written your own vows"?, they both in unison said, "we have".
The minister said, "Derek take this ring and slide it onto Penelope's finger and then recite your vows to her", Derek took the ring into his hand and slid it gently and lovingly onto her finger, he then looked at her and smiled. Penelope felt her heart racing again as Derek said, "baby girl, I think I fell in love with you the second I saw you on that yacht, you were and still are the most beautiful woman I have ever met".
He continued by saying. "we went through a lot in that first 24 to 48 hours that we were together and that only proved more to me that we belong together, that we were destined to be together always". Derek smiled and said, "I promise here in front of God and these witnesses that I will always love, honor, cherish and protect you as long as we both shall live".
The minister said, "Penelope, take this ring and slide it onto Derek's finger and then recite your vows to him", Penelope took the ring nervously into her hand and slid it onto his finger, she looked up at him and smiled. She then took a deep breath and said, "Derek, hotstuff, you are an amazing man and from the first moment I saw you I started falling in love with you and the first day or so that we were together was tough to say the least but we stayed together and beat anything that came our way, together".
Penelope said, "you are the love of my life and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life loving you and being loved by you", Derek smiled at her as she said, "I can promise here in front of God and these witnesses that I will love, honor and cherish you for as long as we both shall live".
They then turned to the minister who said, "if their is anyone here that can show just cause why these two can't be lawfully joined, let them speak now or forever hold their peace" and after a few seconds of silence he smiled and readied to continue. He then said, "by the powers vested in me by this state I now pronounce you husband and wife", he looked at Derek and said, "Derek, you may kiss your bride".
Derek then cupped her cheeks in his hands and leaned in and gently brushed his lips against hers, they pulled apart and the minister said, "ladies and gentlemen it gives me great pleasure to introduce to you for the first time Mr. and Mrs. Derek Morgan" and the air was filled the the shouts of congratulations and hands clapping.
Derek then pulled his wife back into his arms and kissed her passionately, they pulled apart and she looped her arm through his as they made their way back up the isle and made their way toward the reception tent with the rest of their family right behind them and they were all ohhhh so ready to start celebrating as a family.
