A First Mate and A Swordman

"Woahh, that's a nice nap by the way" Luffy shot up from the barrel he was napping. He then looks around and saw a boy with pink-haired and some man on the floor.

"Hey, your friends will be sick if he sleep like that"

"That's because of you, idiot!" The pirates yelled at him with an imagining shark tooth. Before they could beat Luffy, his stomach growled harder.

"I'm hungryyy! Hey where's the storage" He whined at the pink-haired boy.

"How dare you do that on this ship! I'll make you suffer" Luffy just punch the man on the guts and then looked at the boy again "So…Food?".

After a few minutes of robbed the food on those ship, Luffy decided to asks about some boat. The boy with pink-haired then asks him.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Monkey D Luffy, a man who will be the King of Pirates!" Luffy said with his determined voice make the boy paled "And who are you?" he asks whilst picking his nose.

"I'm coby. Nice to meet you Luffy-san" coby hesitant "But if you want to become a Pirate King, you will search for One Piece too" Luffy just said 'Yepp'

"That's impossible, you could die, impossible, imposs-" Luffy whack him on his head "What was that for" Coby looked at him with feared eyes.

"Just feeling it. And also, if I will died when I achieve my dream then so be it. I'll be the freest man in the world" Coby looks at him with adored sight.

"Do you think that I can become a marine?" Coby asks.

"How will I know? You have to reach your dream by yourself, Coby" then Luffy asks "If you want to become a marine, why are you here on pirates ship?"

"I'm not a pirate. I just want to fishing something, then suddenly I'm on this ship and be a cabin boy" he tell Luffy "I want to captured a bad pirates by myself, therefore I want to become a great marine"

Suddenly a fat woman came destroyed the woods above them "WHO DO YOU WANT TO CAPTURED, HUH, COBY?!" Coby paled and trembled at her "WHO IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN ON THIS WORLD?"

Coby scared and said "It's…IT'S NOT YOU, YOU OLD HAG!" Luffy smiled at that and make a rest of the pirates unconscious. Coby looked at him with awed face "What are you, Luffy-san?"

"I ate a Tori Tori no Mi : Model Griffin. I'm a Griffin. Like you see" then his hand become a red-black claw with purple fire around it.

"Oh, right. The old hag said something like Roronoa Zoro. Can you show me where he is?" Coby gasped and looks terrified at Luffy "Why Luffy-san? He is a bad man"

"I'll makes him my nakama, shishishi. Don't worry, Coby" then they sail to Shells Town.

When they reached the town, they're search around to find someone with name's Roronoa Zoro.

"Where do you think Zoro is?" After Luffy said that, all of people at that town backed away and looked terrified "Why people looks so afraid of Zoro?" Luffy confused.

"That's because he's a bad guy. Here they will be save because Captain Morgan was the marine on this town" And again the people backaway from the mention named "I think that's not the issue here, Coby. Something must be wrong if people looks so scared"

They walked again and arrived on the base of marines. Luffy jumped at the wall with Coby and looked around. He then found a man that he sure was Roronoa Zoro. He jumped off and make a way to the man. Coby on the other side was panicking about Luffy maybe being caught by the marines.

"Are you Roronoa Zoro?" the man looked at Luffy with his annoyed eyes "And what if I am?"

Luffy laughed "I'm Monkey D Luffy. Join my crew!" Zoro narrowed "No, I can't, I have a dream to achieve".

Luffy just hummed, before he could asks, a girl came with riceball on her hand. Luffy looked at her "Please, eat this. I make this for you, mister".

"Go away, kid! I don't need your help" Then a boy with blond haired came with his sly face "Well, looks like you have a visitor Pirate Hunter Roronoa Zoro" he then snatch the riceball and spewed it "What the! That's so sweet. Riceball would have be salt, you moron" He throw the food and step on it.

The girl eyes was teary and Luffy doen't like those sight. His face was coldly enough to make someone piss off.

"Throw and kill the girl" the blond command and the other marines shocked "But, she's just a kid"

"I'm Helmeppo, the son of Captain Morgan, and I can make you suffer if you don't want do what I said" the marines scared and throw the girl. Luffy catch her on time before she could injured. Coby then approached them.

"Coby, take the girl. What your name kid?" Luffy looked at the girl "I'm Rika" he nodded and gazed Coby "Take Rika and I'll come on her house after this" Coby nodded and take Rika away.

Luffy approached Zoro "You sure don't want to escape?" He smirks "Heh.. I can survive this, just for a week later" Luffy shrugged and will go before Zoro called him "Can you give me those food?" Luffy smiled, he doesn't like someone who wasted the food, Thatch taught him that he can't predict what will happen next so don't waste a food.

"Sure. But, that will be muddy" Zoro nodded and Luffy gave it to him "It's nice. Tell the girl that the food was nice and thanks for it".

"Really? He said that?" Rika beamed at him. Luffy just chuckles and sat on top of a barrel "Yes, he said that"

"Did Zoro actually a bad guy?" Coby asks and Rika shake her head "No. He was on that state because he save me from Helmeppo's dog. He killed the dog and Helmeppo mad of that"

A marines and a blond boy then came in on the restaurant and make a fush. Luffy couldn't stand at him and punch him. Everyone shocked at that, and worried about Luffy.

"Do you know who I am?" Luffy just smiled coldly and said "Do I have to? I don't care who you are, if you want to live, you better go away or else" The boy paled and scream before running out of the restaurant.

"Are you okay, Luffy?" Rika's mother asks "Yes, ma'am. I have to come and take Zoro. Coby, let's go" the both of them then approached Zoro.

"I told you that I can't join your crew" Luffy just shrugged it off and help Zoro untied his rope "Oi! Didn't I told you before!"

"He will kill you tomorrow. If you don't want to die, you better shut up. You can ask Coby if you don't believe me" Zoro looked at Coby who's nodded and help Luffy.

"You have a dream, are you? What's your dream?" Luffy asks.

"To be the Greatest Swordman on the world" Luffy smiled "That's a nice dream. I'll be a future Pirate King, so I need the best swordman on my crew. What do you think?" He smirk at Zoro.

"Fine, until I achieve my dream, I'll join your crew"

"You're a swordman, you must have a sword, right. Where is it?" Luffy search around but couldn't found the sword "Yeah, I have. I'm a triple sword user. But my sword was with the blond asshole"

"I can take that to you. Stay here with Coby" after that Luffy just launching himself on the building and search the swords. Luffy found the swords but he also saw that Zoro in danger. He flew from the window and landed between Zoro and the marines and his captain.

"He's a devil fruit user. Captured him and kill him" the marines hesitant "What makes you wait! Shoot him!" they shoot Luffy, but Luffy just dodge it.

"What are you, Captain?" Zoro asks whilst tried to open the ropes "I'm a Griffin. I ate a Tori Tori no Mi : Model Griffin"

Then Luffy's hand turned in to claws and ripped Morgan's body with his quick attack. The marines gaped at the scene and paled. After Zoro's escape, he then attack the rest of marines. The others marines then cheered makes Luffy, Coby and Zoro confused but they shrugged it off.

They back at the restaurant and ate for Luffy and drank booze for Zoro. They chattering with other until some marines came.

"I want to said thank you that you manage to take down Captain Morgan, but I have to tell you to get out from this town" the people protest at him but Luffy just nodded.

"Before I go, can't I borrow a den den mushi?" Luffy asks and one of a marines handed him it

Purupurupurupuru Kachak

"Monkey D Garp here. To whom I speak?" everyone shocked "Gramps, I have some request. I have a boy that want to be a marine. Can you tell your friend on the marines to teach him? Just someone you trusted" Garp humming and agreed. He will inform one of his man to take the boy later.

"Garp the Fist is your grandpa?" one of the marines asks with wide eyes "Yes. He doesn't come with me, so don't captured him" Luffy point his tumb to Coby and the marines understand.

"Thank you, Luffy-san!" Luffy smiled and ruffle his pink hair.

"Bye, Coby. Take care" He waved to the salute marines "I never imagined that marines will respect pirates for once" Zoro said while looked at the scene, and Luffy just shishishi-ed.

They went to the Orange Town for restock. Luffy also knew about Zoro's poor navigating, so he will be the navigator temporarily before he found his navigator. He then remember to called Thatch after he got his first mate.

"Mind if I called someone, Zoro?" Zoro just shaking his head. He curious about something before Luffy make a call.

"That tattoo of yours. Written of 'Marco Newgate', perhaps that's Marco The Phoenix, one of Whitebeard Pirates?" Luffy looked at him and smile "Yes, he is. Why?" Zoro just shook his head again and Luffy shrugged it off.

Purupurupuru….Kachak

"Forth Division Commander of Whitebeard Pirates here. Who's speaking?" Luffy beamed at Thatch voices. He missed the chef already.

"Thatchyy! I missed you. How you're doing?" Thatch shocked and can be seen from the wide eyes of the den den "Luffy! I missed you too. I'm fine, just do some pranks like usual" he laughed and Luffy giggled.

"Where are you now?" Thatch asks "Heading to Orange Town. Our supplies nearly gone, so we have to restock"

"And why are your stock is running low, Luffy? I gave you a lot of supplies that can last until you might reach 2 island after you sailing" Luffy rubbing his back head "Uhh you know….I might be inside a barrel after a whirepool sucked all of the ship"

Thatch scream, shocked and speechless from the explaining makes Ace and Marco not so far from him concered "Thatch, is that Luffy? I want to speak with him too" Ace then approached him with Marco. Then Thatch tell them about how Luffy ended up on a barrel that makes Ace laughed and Marco worried.

"Oh look Zoro, a bird. We can eat that. I'll fly to the bird" Zoro just saw Luffy flew to the bird "Uhh, Mr. Zoro, can I speak to you a bit?" Then Zoro gave his attention to the den den.

"Just Zoro, and what is it?"

"You are a first mate. What's your speciality, may I ask?" Zoro confused 'cause he never thought that he could speak with one of whitebeard pirates, especially a commander.

"I'm a swordman. I—" before he continued, he heared Luffy's scream "ZOROOOO! HELPP! THE BIRD WANT TO EAT ME! AAAAAA!" Zoro looked at the bird who take Luffy "Dammit, what the hell Luffy. Hang on" Then he paddle the boat.

"WHAT HAPPEN? ZORO? IS LUFFY OKAY?" Thatch can be heard panicking on the other side. Marco also seems to panicked but tried to calm the commander first. He also heard someone said about roasting.

"Luffy was took by a bird, I have to follow him. I'll tell you later, commander" then the call ended.

Meanwhile on the Moby Dick, everyone can saw that the three commanders were panicked and flaring.

"How can he be so careless, dammit. I'll lectured him later if I saw him" Ace was mad mad. The other commanders and Whitebeard look at them

"What happened, my son?" Thatch gave him a horrified looks "Luffy….Luffy got eaten by a bird. Pops we have to help him. How can he?!"

"WHAT!"

"WHOSE BIRD? I'LL SHOOT THEM"

"WE WILL HAVE A ROASTING BIRD AFTER THIS"

All the commanders cursed at the bird and ready to take an action about bird. They will roasting a bird that will appeared after this no matter what bird was that.

"Calm down, you all. His first mate was followed him and will help him" Marco tried to calmed the ruckuss "Who's his first mate?" Haruta asks

"Zoro. He is a swordman" Haruta then paled and Marco swear that after this he will make sure that Luffy always gave him a proper news "Roronoa Zoro? The pirate hunter? Do you know that his navigating was bad. So bad that he always lost no matter what" Haruta adds and make the others also paled.

"That's it. I'll have a talk with him and make sure he will update his well being after he reach The Grand Line!" Everyone could saw that Marco angry also panicked. They knew that his lover was someone who could be so reckless and makes everyone have a heart attack. Whitebeard watch with an amused face.

"Gurararara, it's okay, my sons. We will have a proper talk with him and his crew later. Wait until the time comes" they just could praying for Luffy's and his crews safety after this.
