"My name is Ichigo Kurosaki. I want to tell you an experience I had that I consider a close call."
"My family wanted to find a place to go on a small trip. It was winter and I had a break from school, so my old man and my younger sisters wanted to do something fun. After doing a search, we decided to head to a cabin that's on a local campsite. You could rent out a cabin and enjoy some time in the woods with other campers. They thought it sounded like fun and decided to head there.
Ichigo's family wanted to go out and have a small winter vacation. They soon decided on a cabin out in the woods in a local camping place. Ichigo really just went along with it.
"We packed our stuff for the next few days and went on ahead. Fresh snow was already coming down and it actually made the trip more enjoyable. We soon arrived at the cabin we rented and were getting ready for the next couple days thinking it was going to be fun."
Excited about the trip, the Kurosaki family went on ahead to the camp. Snow was already coming down and it added to the scenery. They soon arrived at the cabin and were looking forward to spend some quality time there.
"I had a walk around the cabin. It seemed like a decent place, and the inside was rather nice. What I noticed that was strange was a set of prints near the cabin. It was like someone walked completely by the cabin and it seemed like they were there recently. I don't like the idea of some stranger coming by our cabin while we were there. I told my family that I was going to look around the woods for a moment and followed those footprints."
When Ichigo looked around the cabin, he spotted a series of footprints; fresh prints that indicated someone was around recently. For the sake of some privacy and family safety, Ichigo wanted to know who it was and followed the prints.
"It was probably just some other camper hanging around one of the nearby cabins, but I just wanted to make sure there wasn't going to be any troubles. I followed those footprints for about five minutes before I looked ahead and spotted something weird. The man who made them was standing before me with his back turned, so I couldn't see his face. All I could see was that he was wearing a worn-out coat with the hood up. He just stood there and let the snow fall on him, almost like the cold didn't really bother him. Something about that guy just gave me the creeps. Luckily, he didn't noticed me. I backed away, but I never took my eyes off him to make sure he didn't follow me."
Ichigo followed the prints and soon a spotted a man. He might not be able to see the man's face, but something wasn't right about this man. Ichigo backed away, but he never took his eyes off the man. Once he was a safe enough distance, he hurried back to the cabin.
"I was able to make it back to my cabin and told my father about what I saw. We weren't sure what to make of this. It could have been just another camper, there are other cabins around that other people are staying at. It is possible that the man I saw just on his way back to his own cabin. Still, we decided to lock all the doors and windows when we're inside. We also didn't say a word to my sisters because we didn't want to scare them if it was nothing."
Ichigo made it back to the cabin and warned his father about what he saw. They weren't sure if this was just something random, another camper, or something worse. All they could really do was just hope for the best and make sure everyone was safe.
"Later that night, we all were getting ready to go to bed. Nothing really happened that day, and I was just about to put the whole thing behind me. Just as we all turned out the lights, I heard my sister, Yuzu, screaming."
"Dad! Ichigo! There was someone outside tapping against the window!" Yuzu called and alerted everyone in the family.
"This what I was afraid of. We all gathered together and remained quiet. Once we did, we heard someone tapping against the cabin from the outside. That was enough for us to get out of there since my old man and I agreed that protecting Karin and Yuzu should come first."
When Yuzu alerted everyone that there was someone outside, they gathered together and heard tapping. Wanting to put the safety of the family first, they all wanted to get out of there.
"As quietly as we could, while also staying away from all the windows with the lights off, we just put on a warm set of clothes. We grabbed our phones and anything that was valuable and we could run with. Once we got all that, Dad grabbed his keys and we all gathered by the front door. Once we unlocked it, we all got ready to just run for it. We followed the tapping and heard that it was coming from the other side. That gave us the signal. We opened up the door and just ran out of there."
Needing to get out of there, they all put on warm clothes and whatever they couldn't leave behind. They stuck near the front door and got ready to run for it. As they followed the tapping to indicate where the man was, they heard it coming from the other side of the cabin. That meant that they ran out of there and went straight for the car.
"We got to the car and it started right up. Just before we drove out of there, we saw him there. The headlights shined right on him and saw the guy standing right there. It was the same guy I saw. We could see his face, but it was creepy. Dad didn't wait another minute and just drove away from the cabin."
All four of them ran straight for the car with no problems. Once they got it started, they saw the strange man from earlier standing right there. Seeing that was quite disturbing and their father just drove out of there.
"We all alerted the park rangers and the police about what we saw, but there was no sign of that man. We gave the best description we could, but it wasn't easy without seeing his face. What's more was that there was no one at any of the other cabins that matched what we did see. We went back the next day to get what we left behind and nothing appeared to be stolen. Worse case scenario is that the guy wanted to kill us. I wouldn't have been afraid to hurt that guy if he threatened my family, but perhaps it was a good thing I got out of there. My sisters were a little freaked about the whole thing and would have been terrified if anything happened to me. I just hope that the next family that stays at that cabin is just as lucky as we were."
