"My name is Yasutora Sado, but a lot of people just call me Chad. This story revolves around my friend, but I was a little surprised by it myself."
"This happened when I was in college. I might have been in college, but I had my own apartment and I shared it with my friend while we were attending classes. My friends were named Ichigo and Uryu. Ichigo was the one I shared an apartment with."
Chad had his own apartment and didn't mind sharing it with one of his closest friends. He and Ichigo were always good friends.
"One day, Ichigo and Uryu were out together. I just finished up a day at my job and was on my way back to my apartment. When I got there, there was some girl sitting in the hall and she was sitting right in front of my apartment. I didn't know what to do because it was rather weird she was just sitting there. Was she waiting for someone? Is she hurt? I decided to just go over and talk to her."
After arriving home from work, Chad found a girl just sitting in front of his apartment door. Not sure what this was about or even who she was, he just walked over to her.
"Can I help you?" Chad asked.
"I'm waiting for Ichigo. I want to talk to him about something." The girl said.
"When she told me that, I figured the whole thing was harmless and I invited her inside. I offered her a seat on the couch and tried being a good host."
"Can I get you anything to eat or drink?" Chad asked.
"No." The girl said.
Chad allowed the girl in and tried being polite, but it seemed like the girl wasn't interested in anything.
"May I ask who you are and why you want to see Ichigo?" Chad asked.
"I'm his girlfriend." The girl said.
"That part found I found weird. Ichigo never mentioned anything about a girlfriend. I thought he was interested in another girl named Orihime, but that's not who this is."
"Uh... Ichigo might be a while. I don't know when he'll be back. You could leave a message or something." Chad offered.
"No." The girl said.
"Can't you call him? Let him know you're here?" Chad questioned.
"I don't have a phone." The girl claimed.
"This was getting weird. This girl seemed to have an answer for everything. Why didn't she have a phone either? None of this was making sense to me. I decided to walk away and call Ichigo myself, try to get him to come back here."
Chad tried being nice, offered the girl some suggestions to help, but she turned everything down. Whatever she wanted from Ichigo, she wanted it to be in person. Chad decided to give Ichigo a call and tried to get him to come down.
"Hey, Chad. What's up?" Ichigo asked when he answered the phone.
"Ichigo, your girlfriend is here. It seems like she really needs to talk to you." Chad said.
"Girlfriend? I don't have a girlfriend." Ichigo said. That gave Chad a good shock.
"Well, someone is here and says she needs to talk to you. She's claiming she's your girlfriend." Chad said.
"What does she look like?" Ichigo questioned.
"Long brown hair, about our age. She's wearing jeans and has a blue hoodie on." Chad said.
"I decided to give Ichigo a picture of who I'm talking about. I was able to get a picture of the girl when she wasn't looking. Once I sent it to Ichigo, I waited to hear what he had to say."
None of this was making sense to Chad. Ichigo's denying everything and doesn't know who Chad is talking about. Chad decided to take a picture and send it to him to get answers.
"Chad, don't let that girl out of your sights. Keep the phone on so I can hear. I'm on my way back." Ichigo said as he sounded a little anxious.
"Ichigo, what are you saying?" Chad asked.
"I do know that girl, but we're not dating. Her name is Laurel and she has mental issues, suppose to be on medication. I'll be there in a few minutes."
"Hearing that, I kept my eyes on the girl at all times. I looked at her eyes and they were wide. I don't know what was going on in her head, but I didn't like this."
Chad didn't like this at all. Ichigo knows who she is, but it wasn't at all what Chad thought. If this girl has mental issues, Chad can't take his eyes off her. There's no telling what she'll do.
"I kept the phone on so that Ichigo could hear everything. I never looked away from her, but I have no idea what she was thinking. That's why I don't know what she did. She just got up and walked over to the balcony of my apartment and stood on the railing."
"Stop! What are you doing?!" Chad said.
Whatever that girl was thinking wasn't good at all. She looked like she was about to jump.
"I hurried out to try and stop her, but she jumped before I could reach her, holding back the urge to scream from that. I looked down and it was horrible. I also saw Ichigo down there and it looks like he arrived too late to talk that girl out of doing that. He also looked as horrified as I did."
Chad tried to save her, but she jumped before he could save her. He looked down and was horrified to see her down there. Ichigo was down there and he was just as shocked at what he witnessed himself.
"Ichigo explained everything to me. He met Laurel once before when she practically begged him to go out with her, but she had some serious mental issues and had some strong medication. I don't know if she forgot to take it or if she had too much, but something was clearly playing with her head. I was afraid she was some crazy stalker, but what I just saw was a lot worse. I just hope she finally feels at peace."
