Possible Triggers: Purging. Eating Disorders.

Chapter 1

It had been nearly six weeks since Lily had moved to Forks and she had felt it had been the best decision she had ever made. Things were moving forward, her life was moving forward and the sense of relief at knowing she was moving on came crashing down when she found herself kneeling on the cold bathroom floor in front of the toilet. Coughing, Lily gasped as she lent backwards whilst trying to ignore the pain in her knees.

Her throat was sore from the force of her vomitting. Sobbing, the girl fell to the floor as tears fell from her eyes and down her cheeks. She felt so out of control from her own body and mind. It wasn't fair. She had been doing so well. Why did she have to backtrack and fall back down now? Maybe she was being punished for making friends? Maybe she didn't deserve their kindness. They didn't deserve for her to force her broken self into their seemingly perfect life and family.

Her throat seemed to tighten and hurt even more the more she cried. She just wanted to sleep. She didn't want to move, she didn't want to feel it all anymore. It hurt.

Sniffing, Lily forced herself onto her hands and knees and crawled a few paces before she gathered enough energy to stand and make her way back to her room. If she was going to nap, she was going to give herself the dignity of falling asleep on her bed and not her bathroom floor with the smell of vomit lingering in the air.

Two days passed and Lily was crying once again, this time for a more legitimate reason. She was hurt. Her need for control had apparently come to bite her on the ass when she was walking down the street. First she had become dizzy, then she had felt her knees weaken which caused her to stumble. She had tried to keep her balance but it was an ultimate failure. Her ankle had hit the side of the pavement which sent her tumbling to the ground as a sharp pain shot up her leg.

Crying out Lily grabbed her ankle as she tried to fight off the buzzing inside her head. Gritting her teeth she pulled out her phone. "Hi, please can you pick me up and take me to the hospital?" After calming her friend down and reassuring him she wasn't dying she told him where he could find her then proceeded to sit there in the gutter as she couldn't bring herself to move.

Either Jasper had sped and broken a few laws or he had been literally been around the corner. Ignoring the speed in which he had reached her, Lily allowed Jasper to pick her up and help her carefully into the car.

"My father is currently working at the hospital." He informed her. "I've already contacted him and he's waiting to see you." So not only did he most likely speed to her but he did it whilst being on the phone. Irresponsible. Lily gave him a smile of thanks none the less. Just as he said Carlisle was waiting to assess the damage and Lily found herself just watching him.

Carlisle was a nice man, but watching him work was something else. Maybe because she had seen him first in a casual setting and not in the hospital. Lily had first seen him during the movie night with him smiling, chatting and being a little playful with his wife. Now he held no smile as he gently worked her ankle. His fingers were cool and pressing softly down on her flesh. He clearly was very passionate and felt very strongly about his work.

"I don't think anything is broken but an x-ray will make sure." Carlisle told her. "Most likely just sprained it, but better safe than sorry?" Lily nodded with a shy smile before she was wheeled off to be x-rayed. An hour later Jasper was helping her hobble back to his car.

He had attempted to just pick her back up into his arms but she had refused. She would have to get used to getting around for the next couple of days on her bummed ankle without relying on the blond. Besides, Lily could just hear the comments Alice would be gushing if she learnt Jasper had been carrying her bridal style all over the place. She shuddered. Sounded like a headache waiting to happen.

Jasper helped her into the car however, and shut the door behind her, proving Alice right that he was ever the gentleman. He had tried asking how she managed to sprain her ankle and Lily responded she fell, but he didn't seem to fully believe her and kept pushing. Lily had managed to resist no matter how oddly relaxed she suddenly felt. Realising he wasn't getting an answer, Jasper kindly gave up and changed the subject to something nonessential.

Finally they reached her home, but before she could exit the car she was stopped. Jasper had grabbed her hand, letting go at once the moment he had garnered her attention. "You know you can talk to me without judgement don't you?" he said quietly. Jasper seemed uncomfortable, almost like he was worried he would upset her with even the kindest of words.

"Wouldn't you?" Jasper just frowned at her. "Isn't that what people do? Make judgements? It's instinctual."

"I think people make assumptions quickly but not judgements. At least not from decent people."

"Assumptions are made before hearing what someone has to say, not after." Lily countered.

"True." Jasper nodded with a small smile. "Maybe I chose the wrong word to express what I mean." Silence erupted for a few moments before Lily smiled.

"Maybe soon. Not today."

"Fair enough. You should get some sleep." Jasper suggested as he helped her out of the car and inside the house before taking his leave. The moment Jasper shut the door as he exited the house, Lily fell backwards and collapsed onto the stairs. A huge surge of lonliness enveloped her as she sat there in the darkness of her stairway, thinking bitterly to herself that she didnt have the courage to ask him to stay.

Now she was alone again. Always alone.

Sorry this one is short. I will make it up in the next chapter.
