Chapter 3 - Preparations

It has been almost eight weeks since Naruto got the Uzumaki sealing scroll from his father that contained all the information about his mother's seal holding back the kyuubi. He had been studying it meticulously during that time. He was sure he now knew everything there was to his mothers seal and its workings. He had his focus more on training two special techniques with his mokuton thought, as his dad would focus more on the seal itself. Naruto's job was more if the kyuubi would somehow break free. And then help to subdue the great fox with his mokuton. Naruto had been hard at work, as using techniques was not usually how he utilized his ability with mokuton or even now hyoton. He had a more of a loose and free style of use for his nature transformations. He did not like using flashy jutsu too much, he instead opted to perfect his elemental manipulation as much as possible and could then grow a branch or a vine here and there with just a thought and the manipulation of his chakra. This was especially useful as he was a close combat type fighter, he liked to get upfront and do his work quickly. Summoning a vine or a tree branch to pierce someone's heart or throat in the heat of battle was very convenient. No one ever saw it coming. It was almost as if his elements and elemental transformations were just an extension of his thoughts and that could be brutally efficient instead of flashy techniques. Techniques took time, he thought, when he could just as easily just pierce his opponent with a branch or whole tree if he wanted to be especially flashy with just a thought and almost non existing chakra manipulation.

Now he was possibly going to be up against a bijuu and that changes things. Long time ago Naruto got a scroll from Tsunade Senju that was written by Hashirama Senju. That scroll detailed all of Hashirama's theories about mokuton and nature transformation. There were techniques of both mokuton, earth element and water element. And as he noticed, a lot of notes on senjutsu.'Maybe i should have actually read to the end before' Naruto thought as he saw all the notes about senjutsu at the very end of the scroll.

But that was not important now. He had been studying two very special mokuton techniques from Hashirama's scroll the last eight weeks since his father told him to learn about his mothers seal.

The first one was named; Hokage-Shiki Jijun Jutsu - Kakuan Nitten Suishu. This technique was used to suppress a bijuus chakra. Problem was that he needed to make physical contact with the beast, so he had to learn something that would hold down the fox as well.

So he tried to learn a technique called; Mokuton: Mokujin no Jutsu. This one he struggled with as it required shit loads of chakra. It summons a big humanoid tree creature that is said to be able to hold down the kyuubi with force alone. He hoped he would be able to do this technique perfectly if he pushed himself hard. It was his family he was protecting, so there was no backing down.

All this training made him open up about learning more techniques and jutsus as well as he noticed they had a big benefit. 'I really need to evolve my fighting style' he thought. Big flashy jutsu has its place and he smiled at the thought of controlling big flying tree dragons. 'Why have I never seen the awesome possibilities this brings?'.

Naruto was interrupted in his musings by a knock on the door and it opened to reveal his father standing there in his hokage clothes. "Good Morning Naruto-kun" Minato said as he watched his son studying. His son has been hard at work these last weeks, and he saw it was stressing him out a bit. "Don't doubt yourself son, I know it's a hard technique you are trying to learn. But I know you will be able to use it to its full potential when the time comes. And you also have to remember that you are not going to be alone out there. Me, Jiraya and Hiruzen will all be there to keep the kyuubi in check if something were to happen." He said as he wanted to reassure his son.

Naruto looked at Minato and smiled "Thanks dad". He looked out his window towards Konoha hospital "So today is the day i'm going to become a big brother eh? He said as he turned back towards his father. "Any day now son. Your siblings are rather stubborn" Minato said with a smile. "But yes any day now, so we better do the final preparations. Jiraya came back to the village yesterday and is setting up security at the hidden location." he finished.

Minato was watching his son and saw that he thought about something that troubled him and had been the past few weeks. Minato knew directly what was troubling Naruto and said "Don't worry about that now Naruto, we will talk about your visits to Inoichi after all this is over". "It will all work itself out Naruto, I promise you that. As your father I will make sure of it. You know I love you right? And I will do anything for you son."

Naruto looked up at Minato and gave him a small smile 'i hope you are right dad, and that this is something that can be fixed' Naruto thought. "Thank you dad, and i love you as well".

Minato stayed in Naruto's room for a while and talked. They talked about the coming days and training and the future. It was not often Naruto and Minato had times like these, so they both just enjoyed the moment and tried to savor their quality time together.

"Let's get something to eat, then we can visit your mother at the hospital. After that we will meet up with Jiraiya and Kakashi" Minato told his son as he prepared to go downstairs. As Minato stood up he noticed the scroll from Tsunade that Naruto had been studying and saw that a lot of the different jutsus had been marked, like some kind of reminder. "So you are thinking about learning more jutsu? I thought you didn't like flashy jutsus?" Naruto just shrugged his shoulders. "I'm glad you are broadening your views on all of the aspects of being a shinobi, it will just make you a more well rounded fighter and that much stronger" Minato said as he was happy that his son was expanding his repertoire. "When you are older i will teach you my signature techniques" he winked at Naruto, as he knew just how eager his son was to learn the Rasengan and hiraishin. "Come now, lets go downstairs and eat" Minato said and left Naruto sitting on his chair with stars in his eyes totally lost in his own world at the moment. 'The possibilities with the hiraishin" was Naruto's only thought as he sat there drooling.

They both ate a big breakfast and were now at the hospital to visit Kushina. They saw that Bawiko entered Kushina's room from a distance. So they did not bother checking in with any nurse and just went to Kushina's room. They knocked, mostly cause you never know what you are walking into when going inside a hospital room. So it was better being safe than sorry. "Come in" they heard Kushina's voice call out from inside the room. Minato opened the door and they both entered. They saw that Bawiko had just brought some food and other equipment they did not recognize. 'Must be baby stuff and whatnot' both Minato and Naruto thought.

"Hi mom, how are you feeling?" Naruto asked as he walked in and took a seat beside the bed Kushina was laying in. Minato setting himself down just beside Naruto. Both turned and greeted Bawiko as well, she answered with a nod towards both and went back to whatever she was doing. Kushina looked up at both giving them a smile, but looked a bit exhausted. She greeted both and then answered Naruto. "I'm fine Naruto, just a bit exhausted. It feels like your siblings are having a battle in my stomach" she said as she patted her swollen stomach. "I just wish they stopped being so stubborn and just came out already!". She almost sounded frustrated saying that.

Minato sweatdropped as he looked at his wife "lets just hope they keep the fighting to a minimum when they are actually born then" he said trying to be funny. Both females in the room and Naruto just looked at Minato. 'His jokes are so dry it feels like we live in Suna sometimes' they all thought as they rolled their eyes.

Minato saw that his "joke" did not land well "errm…anyway, we just came by to say hi and see if there is anything you need before the big event. We have a lot of preparations to attend to, so I'm afraid we won't have much time to spend with you today Kushina-chan". He looked a bit sad about not being able to spend more time with his wife today. But it was a fleeting feeling, he was so very much excited about his wife giving birth soon, that almost nothing could bring down his mood.

"That's fine, it's not like there is much to do here anyway, this place is so boring!" Kushina said as she was fed up with being inside a hospital. She wanted to be outside breaking bones and taking names god damnit! 'This is all Minato's fault!' she thought and glared at Minato who was oblivious to the danger he might find himself in if these babies did not soon come out.

"Just remember to remind that perverted Sensei of yours, that if he even thinks about bringing that disgusting porn novel in my presence again, and especially during my birth! I will beat him so bad that even Tsunade-sama will feel sorry for his ass!" Kushina tells Minato. Then she just said "I will see you guys later then, love you both! And bring some ramen next time will you?". Minato and Naruto just sweatdropped "Yes hun/mom of course" both replied at the same time, almost robot-like.

They waved and said goodbye and the pair were off to meet up with Jiraya and Kakashi.

Minato did not like to use any technique to get around inside the village, only in emergencies. So he always walked when he was in Konoha mostly because he liked his walks as a time to relax a bit. But it was also a way for him to interact with the citizens of Konoha. There were alot of smiles on people's faces as he strolled by, they waved at him and some came up to say a few words and Minato tried to answer everyone as best he could. He heard hushed whispers like "look there is the Hokage's son!" or "I have not seen the son of the Hokage since he was like four years old!, look at how grown up he is!". He even heard someone whisper "What was his name again? Naru-something?".

He signed in his head as he looked down at Naruto as they walked. He was totally oblivious about the people around him. Or so he thought at least. Naruto was never someone to socialize much outside of his family, he did not really seem to care that much about the villagers.

He had hoped his son would open up a bit more towards the villagers or just people in general. But he was not going to force his son. He will just give it time. He was just eight years old after all. His son was not an open and inviting person by his nature.'that's just how he is'. Minato saw a lot of potential in Naruto and wished he would succeed him one day as Hokage and lead the village after him. 'He would need to learn how to get the people on his side'. He thought with a small frown.'But that is a long time away now anyhow, I should just give it time and let him figure it out himself naturally'. Minato looked up at the sky and smiled as they kept walking.

Naruto had different thoughts in his head. He did not really care for the villagers, he knew he was supposed to protect konoha and its citizens as a konoha-shinobi. And that was what he was going to do, he would protect his home and that included the villagers, but he didn't really care about anyone other than his family, friends and few others. But as long as his precious people lived in konoha he would protect this village to his last breath.

Minato and Naruto kept strolling through the village and after a while they stopped in front of what looked like an old workshop of some kind. "Here we are," Minato exclaimed as he turned to Naruto. "This is an old place of the Senju's." He said to his son as he pointed towards a few designs on the shop that had some symbols of the Senju clan.'This looks really old'. Naruto thought as he felt his dad put his hands on his shoulder and led him towards the door. "Lets go inside" He said to Naruto.

When inside, Naruto took a look around and it did not look as old inside as it did on the outside. It actually looked very neat and like someone had kept the place in check. "What is this place dad?" Naruto inquerd. "This son is just an old workshop, but there is a closely guarded secret here. You see, the Senju clan made tunnels from here to some secret locations around and outside the village". He looked at Naruto's questioning look and said."I'm not sure of their main purpose, but this place has its uses. Most likely they had them as a defensive measure." Minato continued to explain to his son "One of these tunnels leads to a place outside of the village, that's where we will oversee your mothers birth". Naruto then asked "How do you know no one else found these tunnels and those secret locations?". Minato smiled at him and lifted his palm in front of Naruto's face. Naruto saw a glowing seal form in his dad's palm and raised an eyebrow. "This son is a blood seal. The locations have incredibly strong barriers keeping them hidden. And mind you, these barriers were made by the old Uzumaki sealing experts. Only someone with Uzumaki or Senju blood could possibly get inside or let someone else inside these barriers. I have your mothers blood, so that solves it for me. You also have to have expert level sealing knowledge". Minato told his son. "So how do you know no one else does not already know of these locations, and in some way acquired a way to get inside?". Naruto was a little bit skeptical. "Ah, I'm glad you are mindful of these things, Naruto-kun. But you don't have to worry, all this we have thought about and made preparations and fortifications. This is why Jiraya came early to help strengthen security". Minato said. "Keep thinking like you do Naruto, never leave a stone unturned. If you see anything, don't be afraid to voice your concerns." He said proudly to his son.

"Let's get going now, we have a lot to do," Minato said as he bent down to touch an odd looking object behind a chair standing against the far wall of the workshop. When he touched the object, Naruto saw a shimmering on the floor just meters away from him. After a few seconds he could see a trapdoor on the floor. 'An invisible trapdoor. That's pretty convenient' Naruto thought as he watched his father open the trapdoor and jumped down, disappearing completely. He just stood there looking at the trapdoor his dad just jumped through. "Are you coming, Naruto?" he heard his father shout out to him from the tunnel below. And he jumped down to join Minato.

It felt like they had been walking for over thirty minutes now and Naruto started to wonder when they would get there. "How far?" was the only thing Naruto said. His father looked at him and answered "We will get there soon, just a few more minutes" he told his son. After a few more minutes of silence. "Could you not just use hiraishin to teleport us to this place?". Naruto asked. "For security reasons, I can't just teleport past the barrier. That would weaken the integrity of the barriers, or may even fry me to a crisp for trying" Minato told him. "That makes sense i guess" Naruto said. "But, logically you could teleport us just outside the barrier, and then use the blood-seal to just walk past the barrier right? Naruto continued.

'Damnit, why didn't I think of that. It would save some time, ' Minato thought as he sweatdropped. 'I can't let him know his old man did not think of that as well'. He continued thinking. He stood there a few seconds to come up with some excuse. "Well you are right Naruto, i could do that. But I wanted to show you the location of the warehouse and these tunnels as well" Minato said quickly, hoping his son would just drop the subject.

'Yeah right dad'. Naruto thought as he rolled his eyes at his father.'He really sucks at lying'. He gave his father an all too wide smile and said "Well thank you dad for showing me, especially these wonderful tunnels and all their splendor" Naruto said as he just kept walking. His father just signed and walked after his son. 'Damnit, can't get anything past him. stupid stupid excuses'

Soon they reached what looked like a door attached to a mountain wall. Naruto raised an eyebrow and thought about where they could be. 'Is this inside some mountain or a cave of some kind?'. Minato saw his son's eyebrow go up. "Wondering where we are? Minato turned to his son. "Are we inside a mountain? Naruto wondered. "Not quite son, the location is inside a cave that is well hidden by large trees made from Hashirama's Mokuton. The trees surrounding the place hides all traces of chakra inside the cave. So it's a very convenient location to hide a bijuu's presence." Minato told his son. Naruto was impressed, he never imagen using mokuton to this effect. 'I really need to start studying Hashirama's notes more. I have only been freeballing mokuton in a convenient way this far. It's time I learn how to really utilize my abilities to the fullest!' he thought with vigor.

"Impressed?" Minato asked, knowing the answer beforehand. He could see the shock, even if just small, on his son's face. "Very" was Narutu's short answer. He was in deep thought about the possible ways he could improve his nature transformation's, when his thoughts were interrupted by a voice he recognized all too well.

"Minato," the voice called out. And they saw the door being opened from the inside. Out came none other than Jiraiya the toad sannin. "Ah finally, what took you so much time?! We got a lot to do boy! We don.." He stopped himself and looked left to Minato and saw he brought his son with him. "Ah well hello there little Naruto, surprised seeing you here" and Jiraya looked towards Minato as he wanted an explanation about Naruto's pressens.

"I brought Naruto here to act as a safeguard if anything would happen. His mokuton could be of great benefit to us, he even learned everything there is about his mothers seal". Minato told his sensei. "He is just a child Minato! Not someone who could possibly be fighting the kyuubi! That's our job, as adults!" Jiraya said, small frustration leaking out of every word.

Minato just signed and answered his sensei "I know we talked about this, but I know he is ready. And I could not stop him from helping if I wanted to, you know how stubborn he is!" he glared back at Jiraiya. "We may need him sensei, and you know that as well. His mokuton is invaluable, especially in a situation like this"

"Even if the seal has been weakening the last few years, we will make sure it stays intact. Nothing will happen, Naruto does not need to be here!" Jiraiya said, confident the seal would hold. "I know he is strong, but he is eight. He has no place fighting a fully released bijuu, it's too dangerous for him." Jiraiya crossed his arms to show he did not approve of this.

Minato and Jiraiya bickered back and forth for a while. During this time Naruto just stood there listening to the bickering adults. He started to get frustrated 'why are they talking about me as I'm not standing right here!'. Naruto decided to speak up when he was tired of the useless bickering. "I'm standing right here you know" Naruto said and both adults stopped talking. "I understand your concern Jiraiya, but you have to understand this is about my family's safety!" Naruto said as he glared at both adults to get his point across. "If there is even a small risk of the seal failing and the kyuubi getting free. There exists no authority in this world that could hold me back from doing my utmost to protect my family. I will be present during the birth and that is final!". He held their gazes until he saw there were going to be no more words spoken of this. Then he walked himself inside the cave through the door.

"You said stubborn right?" Jiraiya said as he looked at Minato. Minato just shrugged his shoulders and walked after Naruto. Jiraiya waited just a while longer thinking about the upcoming events. "I have a bad feeling about this" he thought. Then he signed and walked after father and son.

When Naruto enters the cave, it is much bigger than he would imagen. In the middle of the big one-room cave was some kind of altar looking table that had seals all over inscribed to the stone. He figured that was the place his mom would lay as she gave birth. He then let his eyes travel around the room. The walls were lined with sealing patterns all over and he could not see any entrance except the one they came through. He noticed that almost all the seals were some kind of containment seals. 'This place must have been designed for sealing of a bijuu or other strong and dangerous chakras' he thought.

He saw Kakashi standing by a table looking at some papers, he looked like he was in deep concentration. "Hey Kakashi-san" he shouted at him. He got no answer.'Huh?', wonder what he is doing,' Naruto thought.

"He won't notice you Naruto, he is checking out the connections between all the seals around this place to find if something is amiss. He has already been at it for two hours now, he should be done in a few minutes" Jiraiya told him. "All seals are placed now. Now we only need to make sure we did not miss anything. So that's what he is doing" Jiraiya then sat down by a table and told Naruto and Minato to join him.

"I have already checked the connections once, but had Kakashi-san do it a second time. Can never be too sure". Jiraiya said as he leaned back in his chair. "I could not find anything wrong, this place is the most protected and well hidden location in the world if i would have to guess".

"But there could always be complications?" Naruto asked."You are right there Naruto. Even if this place is as protected as it is. You should never take your guard down, this is why we are doing all these preparations" Jiraiya answered Naruto.

"So what are we to do now"? Naruto asked, wondering why he was here now and not just when it all started.

"After Kakashi-san is done, we will check over his findings. Then we have to bring Bawiko and her personal assistant here. We also have to set up the ANBU patrol outside as well." Jiraiya said. Just as he finished speaking they could hear a grunt coming from Kakashi's direction. He looked spent. "Done" was all Kakashi said and he came to the table where they sat.

"So?" Minato asked his student.

"I could not find anything odd or out of place in connection to the seals. I think we are all good to go" Kakashi answered his sensei. He looked towards Naruto "Well hello there Naruto-kun, did not expect to see you here". Naruto smiled at Kakashi "Hi Kakashi-san. I just decided you probably need my help that's all" he felt a little smug saying that. "Is that right Naruto-san?. Well I guess with your mokuton, we could all feel a little safer" Kakashi said and smiled down at Naruto.

"Hmmpfh" Jiraiya said with arms crossed. "I still think this is a bad idea". He said as he looked towards Minato. "Children should not be fighting bijuu's" he muttered.

"Drop it now Jiraiya. We talked about this. Most likely he won't need to do anything anyway" Minato said, tired of having this argument with his sensei. He was glad that he saw Jiraiya would not speak on the matter more and just sat there looking grumpy instead.

"Anyway, I will go and set up the ANBU patroles" Kakashi told them as he stood up. He walked towards one of the walls in the cave and just walked straight through it. 'He must have been given free access to this location," Naruto thought. 'No wonder, he is one of the strongest in the village and was dad's student. He trusts him, and so do i' Naruto pondered.

Suddenly there was a small poof of smoke at the table they were sitting at. And when the smoke disappeared they saw a small toad sitting there. "Minato-sama! It's time" the small toad said. "Thank you Gamakihiro" Minato told the toad and then it disappeared again.

"It's time for what dad? And how did that toad get in here? Naruto said to his dad as he was confused about both what the toad had said and how he got in here.

"Your mother is having the babies any time now, so we better hurry up. And as for how the toad got in here, we made modifications so the toad summons can pass the barrier. It's convenient for fast communication" Minato answers his son as he stands up.

Jiraiya also stood up. "I will go fetch Bawiko and her assistant. And then check up on Kakashi and the ANBU patrol. You go and fetch your wife Minato." He started to walk towards the wall to exit in the same fashion as Kakashi. "Take a breath Minato-boy, you will soon find yourself in a lot of trouble with two new children" He smiled and then disappeared through the cave wall.

Minato stood up as well and started to walk towards one of the walls. "Stay here Naruto. There is a box over there" he said and pointed. "There is battlegear there you can change into. It's the normal ANBU gear, so i think you will find it acceptable". He looked at his son for a few seconds then said "Hope you are prepared to be a big brother Naruto" he smiled at him then started to channel chakra to open up the barrier. "Be back soon" and then he went through the wall.

Naruto was left alone in the big cave. He went over to the box to check out the battlegear. He took out the gear and held it in front of him inspecting it. 'This should definitely fit, looks kinda cool as well instead of the normal chunin outfit. Maybe I should apply to the ANBU after all of this is over?' he thought to himself and then put on the gear.

Soon four people came through the wall. It was Jiraiya, Kakashi, Bawiko and her assistant.
Naruto greeted everyone, and Bawiko glared towards Jiraiya as to ask "what the hell is Naruto-kun doing here!?". Jiraiya just shrugged his shoulders. She had no time to ask him about it so went to prepare for Kushina's arrival with the help of her assistant.

Jiraiya and Kakashi sat down by Naruto and started to talk between each other about all possible scenarios that could happen and what was to be done about them, just to make sure everything was clear in their minds. During their conversation Naruto started to understand how much that actually could go wrong and he felt dread rise up inside of him. He hoped he had trained enough.'No time for doubt now, I will do my part' he thought as he tried to push away any feeling of doubt. But just like Jiraiya, he had a bad feeling about the events soon to take place.

"Looking cool there Naruto-san, looking like a true shibi-ANBU, very cute" he winked at Naruto. He really liked to tease little Naruto from time to time. Now he thought it might lighten the mood a bit. Naruto just rolled his eyes and ignored the remark. He could hear Jiraiya snickering at the remark. 'Stupid old pervert' he thougt. And Jiraiya and Kakashi continued their talk.

Soon everyone was interrupted by the door to the cave opening and Minato entered with Kushina in his arms. He had to carry her all the way here as he could not teleport both of them in her current condition. He hurried to the stonetable that was in the middle of the cave and put Kushina down on the cold stone. She looked to be in a very bad state, and that worried Naruto.

"What's wrong, is mom okay?" Naruto blurted out as he rushed forwards to check up on his mom. "Its okay Naruto, this is just what it looks like when a woman is going to give birth" Kushina reassured her son. She was in alot of pain, but pain was constant in her life as a shinobi so the pain she could handle. "Just give Minato and Biwako some space and this will be over very soon" Kushina told Naruto. And he squeezed her hand in his and then backed off to give room to his dad and Bawiko.

"I leave now then, i'll be outside with the ANBU checking over the perimeter" Kakashi said and left quickly.

Everyone was working quickly, Kushina was screaming in pain as she pushed with all her might to get those stubborn babies out of her. Naruto during all of this turned around as he could not stand to see his mothers suffering. Jiraiya stood beside Naruto and put a hand on his shoulder. "It's going to be alright Naruto, your mother is a strong woman" he said and smiled down at him. Then he put his right hand towards the cave wall and started channeling chakra to check for any disturbance until the birth was done.

Minato was in a small panic as he felt the seal weaken by the second. 'What is happening! It should not be this weak' he started to sweat in concentration as he did everything he could to keep the seal from breaking.

After a few more minutes Naruto could not hear his mothers screams anymore and got worried. He turned around, and as soon as he did that he was met with another kind of scream. The scream of two new born babies. He was filled with some sort of feeling that made him stand there frozen. His mom was panting and looked exhausted but relieved. His dad was panting and sweating as well, indicating he had to work hard for the seal to be kept intact, which worried Naruto a bit. He saw his dad embrace his mother. He then looked towards Bawiko and her assistant cleaning the babies just a few meters away. He looked up at Jiraiya and gave him the happiest smile the old hermit ever saw, then he started to slowly make his way towards his family. He did not even get half way when everyone was interrupted by an unknown presence.

Both Bawiko and her assistant fell down towards the floor holding their throats. Naruto did not understand what was going on. He looked at the fallen medics and saw blood fast pooling around their faces on the floor.

"Step away from the Jinchuriki, Hokage-sama" the mysterious person said in a chilling tone.

Everyone still breathing looked towards the voice. There was a person they did not recognize. He was clad in black and had a strange orange face mask covering his face. Worst of all, he was holding one of the babies with a kunai pointed towards the throat and had a foot over the other baby's neck towards the floor. Ready to crush the small human at any moment.

There was horror in everyone's eyes. 'What is happening, this is not not supposed to happen!' was Minato's panicked thoughts. He had to come up with something, and fast. "Lets calm down now, no one needs to get hurt here" Minato said and tried to calm down the horrible situation. 'Who is this man?'. He thought.

"I'm very calm Hokage-sama, it's you who should calm down". He said very calmly. "I will give you one more chance, Hokage-sama. Step away from the Jinchuriki or I will kill your children".

Minato and everyone else was stunned in silence. He gave Kushina a pained look and bent down to whisper in her ear "I'm sorry Kushina-hime, whatever happens. Know that I will always love you". And then he backed off from Kushina.

During this time both Naruto and Jiraiya did not move so much as a finger, afraid to set the mystery man off. It was a seriously delicate situation. The man had the Uzumaki/Namikaze-twins at his mercy

As soon as Minato backed up from Kushina a few meters. The black clad man teleported to Kushina and put his hand on her and they both just shimmered out of existence. When this was happening you could see Naruto rush towards his falling sibling and catch the baby in his arms. He also picked up his other sibling laying on the cold stone floor. Then put them in their crib that was brought.

Minato sunk down towards the floor, his shoulders sagging. "What just happened, this can't be true! He took my wife!". He stopped his sulking almost immediately and got up. Naruto has never seen his father like this before. He had a dark look in his eyes and his fists were clenched.

"Jiraiya, drop all the barriers! Every single one. NOW!" he shouted in rage at his sensei. It took Jiraiya just over 5 seconds to have all the barriers down. He channeled a godly amount of his chakra through the network of seals, and all but destroyed every single seal there was in the cave.

"I will go after him, there is no time to waste. Gather the ANBU Jiraiya and follow me" Minato said. It took him a few seconds then he pinpointed his wife's signature. He was glad that Kushina had a hiraishin marker tattooed on her. He used hiraishin and disappeared in a yellow flash. He never noticed Naruto grabbing hold of his left sleeve right before he used his jutsu.

Jiraiya just stood there, watching both Minato and Naruto disappear in a yellow flash. His only thought was "on no.." and then he disappeared as well to follow his student.
