Many a brave trainer in Hisui, after years of watching Braviary soar high above their eyes, has captured one and dreamed of riding them over the region's many mountains. Invariably, when faced with the reality of how Braviary relate to Hisui's terrain, they've been sorely disappointed; serious mountain climbers always bring a Sneasler along with a flying pokemon for a reason.
Hisuian Braviary ride thermals high into the sky, from where they survey the region for miles at a time, but they fear to gain too much altitude and usually fly at a slow descent. I must confess that I myself am not certain what they are so afraid of, and can only hope it is an unfortunate reaction to my occasional habit of donning a sky plate and racing above the clouds to clear my head.
Because the alternative possibility is far worse.
Hisuian Braviary share both types with Natu and Xatu, are widely held to share their gift of extraordinary foresight – and of course, from Deoxys to Necrozma, there are a great many dangers that come from beyond this little world. It is my sincere hope that Hisuian Braviary learns from its Unovan counterpart, whose very name has become a synonym in that region for courage. That it openly meets the gaze of whoever the false eyes on its crest are meant to distract, and fights until it falls. For Hisuian Braviary is a tremendously powerful pokemon, long regarded as the master of Hisui's skies, and the world shall surely need it in the battle to come.
