Amy Dallon

I sighed as the phone rang, again. I looked at the clock and sighed.

"What did you do?"

It's 1 in the morning, do you know where your sister is? I don't, clearly thats a moral failing of mine, I really should make her wear a bell.

"Why do you always say that? It could be, um..."

"What did you do?"

"He's a criminal and-"

"What did you do?"

"I, um hit him and he went down."

I took in a deep breath.

"Did you even try the medigel? Because I installed that into your armor for a reason."

There was a pause.

"I'm not wearing the armor."

I tilted my head and got out of bed, not talking just trying to deal with my emotions.

"Why?"

"It feels icky and gross."

Time to take a deep breath, in and out, in and out just like Woody sensei taught you.

"You're not invincible you know that right? We have talked about this, one good wack and your shield goes down, and in those few seconds you're fucked. Also, I worked hard on that armor."

"It's hot and uncomfortable, and I look awesome in white."

Breath in.

"How bad did you fuck up?"

"I need you to come here."

"Shit...give me your coordinates."

I listened to her and went to my closet, I looked at the suits, the bug tuxedo, classic green, flight capable and would get me there in a minimum amount of time. I put it on and sighed, I need to cut down on the cinnabons. I went to the door and the little pack spread out its' wings, I tried to think of them like ladybug wings. I enjoyed the feeling of the night air on my face as I went down town.

It was rundown and ragged, I landed and sighed at the sight before me.

"ABB?"

"I want to know what Lung's up too."

I ignored my growing urge to kill and stared at him, I touched his throat.

"Um."

"Concussion, a sprained neck, fixable."

People called Victoria the next Alexandria, people called me the next Ironwood. I was the second best healer on the planet, as titles go that isn't bad. I fixed him up.

"What is Lung up to."

I sighed as my sister ramped up the aura and turned my anti-master symbiot up a notch to keep up. Vicky was a nice person but, well she was brash, aggressive, and thought with her fists.

"I don't have to tell you any thing gloryhole, I-"

I'm not doing this again, I formed my hand into a fist and a needle popped out of my armor.

"This injector will force you to tell the truth for 5 minutes, don't make me use it."

He was sweating, he looked freaked out.

"You can't do that. I know my rights, I um..."

I stared at him.

"How many Endbringer battles you been in?"

My voice was low and cold, I stared at him through my helmet, and he was silent.

"You know... I fucking hate the E88, but at least they fight. I'm not fond of the Teeth but at least they fight. The ABB? Of the 3 major gangs, they haven't. Meanwhile Vicky here has been through the Long Ten, fuck everyone in my families been through the Long Ten."

I went in close, the needle gently rubbing his neck.

"The only person in town who's been to more of them then me is Void fucking Cowboy, and well we all know he's nuts. So let me give you some perspective, we're two war veterans with superpowers, you're some little shit who maybe took a couple martial arts classes at the Y and got himself a saturday night special."

I put the needle just under his chin, Vicky cracked her knuckles.

"She's crazy you know, it's the war, she saw shit. I try to keep her reasonable but you know how it is. The war just, well shit happens... if you don't want it to happen to you just talk."

He looked at Vicky and then at me.

"Someone robbed Lung's Casino, he's pissed, really pissed, has us looking for the guys who did it, I don't know nothing else."

"There, was that so hard."

Vicky looked angry.

"He beat a girl up."

"She was a fucking H-"

I knocked him out before he could finish his sentence, he would wake up the next day with a hang over. I took him and positioned him next to the dumpster.

"Amy, he-"

"We got the intelligence."

Good, a beer bottle. I put it near him, there was still some in it, I lightly sprinkled it on his clothing.

"He-"

I turned around and stared at her.

"How bad was the beating?"

"Bad?"

"Hospital bad?"

"She was bloody and um."

"Not hospital bad then, I'm going to call the cops and give a tip, say that he got into a fight and then started drinking."

"And then."

"Pretend this whole night didn't happen, we're not taking credit for this."

"Why not?"

Shes whining, I hate it when she does that.

"Because that encourages you, if you want the glory then follow procedure, do it right. I mean goddamn it Vicky, this shit wouldn't have happened if you just followed mom's goddamned advice."

"But he was asking for it."

I shrugged.

"Yeah and if you went in with your armor you could have safely knocked him out, handed him over and that would be that."

I opened up the phone and sent a text.

"We're going home, and when we get back we're going to have a long talk with mom about this."

"But Amy?"

I motioned with my arm into the alleyway.

"Behold my field of fucks, despite all of my hard work it lies barren, and empty, my supply of fucks once bountiful and numerous has been compeltly used up. Truly this is a tragic event."

I clicked my heels and rose into the air, we were going home.
