Part 11
'we have urgent matter's to discuss' That was the beginning of the end, thinking of it. Everything since then just kept on getting worse and worse. The blonde told himself as he wiped his lips from the alcohol, placing the empty bottle on the counter and staring at his reflection from it. 'It was 4 years ago today huh' He waved to the bartender for another drink, his eyes wandered around the place as he wondered how this had become his life. Hanging out late at bars with all sort of criminals and prostitutes alike. "here you go kid" the man gave him his drink before casting a look of concern his way.
"what is it old man?" he asked as he pulled the drink closer, twisting the cap of the bottle. The man stared at him as if to respond but then the doors flew open and a hulk like man bursts in. "where's that blond bastard" the whole bar goes silent as Naruto coughed giving away his location to the man. "Looking for me?" he asked the large man but was surprised as he had to catch a knife thrown at his skull, no surprised wasn't the right word to describe this emotion, he was offended. He examines the knife and realizes the texture and most importantly the design of a fox head on the knife. Well it was his kunai not a knife as he originally presumed, "what should I be doing with this? Thank you for returning my toy?"
The giant appeared began to close the distance between the two of them, he then stares down to the blond and swings and right hook which is easily dodged by the blond. "This was found at the murder scene" the man yelled angrily before attempting another punch but the blonde had already placed a seal on him. "Mess around and lose your limbs" he said coldly, the man complied and put his hand down.
"Follow me" the coldly stated and like a dog the giant followed after him. The blond him outside before removing the seal and was again met by a fury of punches, each one he easily dodged. The last punch he slid underneath the man and kicked his leg causing him to kneel and holds his kunai to his throat.
"State your business" He stated plainly. "It was found at the murder scene! They've arrested her! My daughter" He felt the coldness of the kunai leave his throat as the Naruto poofed away revealing to be a clone. "and how does this concern me again?" He states as he walked out of the shadow, "Like you told the rest of your Crew it was she who killed him and so if anyone in your crew snitches…." The giant was left dumbfounded, "I didn't tell you about the capturing of my crew….. you bastard you set us up!"
"You only told me to assist your daughter to kill the commander so you'd be next in line but…. Money talks and the higher ranked paid a lot more than you did to find the killer of their commander" he stated calmly as he turned his back walking into the bar again. "It's just business 'kay don't take personally and tell her, your daughter, I'm sorry" he opened to see the man charging to directly at him weaving a few signs we disappeared leaving not even a trail of smoke behind.
The blond finds himself on the comfort of his bed, "Man I hate politics" he stated as he snuggled himself into sleep.
"Hello! Naruto" a voice called out to him, he opened his eyes to meet himself floating in an black space. Looking around all he could see was darkness until he saw a red light shine, he floats his way towards it and as closer and closer he gets he sees the source of light a red sun was what it seemed like in the beginning, a closer look he saw black patterns in the eye and immediately he noticed what it was he was sucked in by the eye. He woke up surrounded by feathers.
"Enough with the games Itachi! What do you want" he yelled out into the darkness. Suddenly a large crow swoops out of no where and swallows him. Then he's met by the grin of the famous Itachi Uchiha, most would be trembling or gawking but our blond carries a large frown on his face. "Not happy to see me huh?" The Uchiha asked the blond.
"You can tell already? That should save us a lot of time then. State your business" he shot back.
"Fine then…. I need your help for a particular task"- Itachi
"what is it"-Naruto
"Infiltrating a certain Village and making a distraction while I retrieve some scrolls"-Itachi
"This village wouldn't be the hidden leaf village would it?"-Naruto
"It is and don't worry I'm not handing it over to the Akatsuki"-Itachi
"Why would I worry about a village I'm no longer apart of? And to think I'd be scared of your circus group"-Naruto
"So then you're up to it? And about my so called Circus group don't think we've not been finding you, I'm making it so they don't"-Itachi
"No!"-Naruto
"Well you have no choice! You still owe me for that time and well would you rather have the Akatsuki send their own to tear up the place?"-Itachi
Growling at the last sentence, Naruto looked at the Uchiha he wasn't lying. They could definitely do this and innocents could die however if he was the one instigating the distraction he could minimize death and losses.
"yes you could indeed minimize damage" Itachi spoke up as if reading his mind. "I've left you a scroll with further details but I must warn you it won't be easy there's a lot happening that day. There's a big meeting to celebrate the Anbus as well as the collaboration between the sand and leaf such *he* will be there"
"Hm…..Two jinchiruki's at one place seems rather convenient for the Circus. How are you sure they won't catch wind of it."-Naruto
"You're the only Jinchuriki going to be present, The one tail was captured a while ago" Itachi stated plainly much to surprise of Naruto. "Your friend is still alive, so don't look so mortified but it was only through sacrifice from another. But enough about that, it's in a week so get ready and also isn't it exactly 4 years since it happened"
"If you're done get me out of here" Naruto stated to the Uchiha who grinned at him. "If you actually thought you could ignore them and the past forever you are a bigger idiot than I thought. Now you would have seen that this world works in an engineered motion, you were always going to meet them and now they will also meet you! This new version of you, in which he kills, frames and manipulates just to cash in a bag" The blond spat the words of the elder Uchiha, "You think know everything about of me? You know nothing! Now release me or else…" at the end of the blond's statement his blue eyes sharpened and turned crimson.
"Okay Naruto… I hope for the best…..for your sake"
And with that the blonde arose with his bed soaked probably from what he hoped was sweat. In his hands a scroll just like Itachi stated, it was a detailed map of infrastructure of the leaf village with all the anbu routes and village blindspots. 'If an enemy village had hold of this they could easily destroy the leaf…information leaks like this is what caused the incident 4 years ago' he told himself.
"Well then I guess I better start getting ready" he told himself as he took out his all black ninja wear, but it had some cuts in it from his previous scrap. 'Guess I'll fix this later' he noted tossing it aside, he proceeds to open a box containing a bunch of Kunai decorated with the fox symbol with them and others with his father's mark on them. On top of them a fox mask with 3 whiskers, 'guess it's back to the leaf'…..
At the leaf
"so then reinforce the whole Goddamn village in the next week" Tsunade yelled out her instructions to Anbu officers who disappeared in a flash. "Not easy is it?" a silver haired man spoke up from the door, the Hokage growled at him. "what would you know about it? And where have you been?"
"paying some homage" he stated and with the eyes of the Hokage softened, she didn't even notice it was already that day, since the incident 4 years ago. When the leaf lost its sunshine, when she lost her grandkid…..
"Yugao-san….. Lady Tsuande wants to see us!" a pink haired girl yelled out to a purple haired kunoichi, the one and only Yugao. "I'm coming! Just a few more minutes…go without me" she stated to her junior, Sakura. She shot her a quick glance before making her way to the Hokage office. Yugao saw the look of Sakura towards her, why couldn't she understand? She couldn't just stop without doing this it felt wrong, criminal absurd.
"Don't worry Sakura she'll be fine, she's always like this around time. So be patient with her… you know how much he meant to all of us….to her. Sakura nodded to the words of Sasuke, of course he'd know more than everyone they were essentially brothers. "We'll permit her tardiness just for today" Tsunade said as she looked at the 3 now infront of her. Kakashi, Sasuke and Sakura. As the three of you know next week we have a very busy event, and that means defense and security will have to be tight incase immigrants and rogues try to mix up with the people of the Sand. And as a fix we'll have to hold Anbu's at all boarders, Sasuke I leave you to organize the groups and their patrolling path, Kakashi you do the same but for the area of the main event and Sakura you will order the medics just incase of anything"
"sure M'lady but who would be crazy enough to attack during such a big event especially when they know it's gonna be tight." Sakura asked and was quickly answered by Sasuke. "Crazy people"
"sorry I'm late, Lady Hokage" Yugao said as she entered the room, all eyes shiften to her as everyone greeted her. "Don't worry, you're always early so you're forgiven"
"The other's will fill you in later but let me inform you of your duties for next week's events…. You'll be assisting Kakashi in his. Next week is very important you guys it will display our power or weakness depending on the outcome." Everyone nodded with a serious look plastered around. "We will not fail you nor the village. And with that the assembly had been closed, Sasuke headed out early and was followed immediately by Sakura leaving the two grown ups alone. "so…..you visited the place" Kakashi asked the kunoichi nodded in response to his question. "what about you?" the silver haired man gave a slow nod causing her to smile back at him.
With Naruto
'This new suit better last longer than the previous one or else!' this new suit had all black color with a hoodie over it and a large orange stripe down the middle, he wouldn't say it out loud but he liked everything about his new armor. "Already feeling nostalgic, aren't we Naruto" the demonic fox spirit himself spoke out to the blond who's face immediately became a frown. "What do you want?"
"How rude… I only came here to pass on a little advice! Don't trust Uchiha's they're bad for our health especially our mental health" the fox ended with cackling laughter.
The day before the event
Naruto stood outside the village gate in a few trees, he examines the map extensively. "there are no immediate entrances since I assume they would have already be set up. Fortunately for him a few villagers, if he had to guess farmers or traders seen this an opportunity he drops a kunai in a pot. As soon as they make it into the village he teleports to the kunai.
'whew! Imagine if they hadn't showed up would have had to do something crazy' Naruto looks around bewilderment, nothing had changed but everything still felt brand-new to him. Before he could endulge in any sight seeing a certain crow flies infront of him. 'So he's here already huh' he snaps out of his gaze and scales up the wall, now he has to locate each corner of the boarder and place a special seal at each side. He succeeded in planting one at 3 places which meant it was left with a single corner. 'I don't remember the village being this big' he wiped sweat of his face. He began to weave signs at the last second someone appears hovering over him, He immediately rolls out of the way o dodge a fist that practically dents the earth.
It also causes a short quake which causes him to lose balance and open himself to another attack but before the person can land the punch he creates a clone that serves as a shield for him. And immediately after the person punches the clone it poofs into the atmosphere allowing for Naruto to get away.
"Dammit" the person let's out and in a matter of seconds she's surrounded by Anbu and a silver haired jounin. "Sakura what's wrong?" the jounin interrogated. "I just had an encounter with someone, non identifiable, black get up with a hoodie a slate of orange down the middle wore a mask as well can't really tell the animal though"
"you sure it wasn't a civilian?" Kakashi asked.
"if it was he must be pretty skilled because he escaped two attacks and one of them he was off balance, the other… well we might want to fix the road" she said as she let out a nervous laugh at the end. Kakashi is then bewildered by the dent she made in the road as well as the fact someone dodged the attack, they might just have to tighten things up a bit. He then feels the gaze of someone or something on him, turning immediately he was just met by just a street light. The group then leave. Naruto watches from a roof top at a safe distance, Sakura just nearly shattered his bones and Kakashi nearly spotted him. ' just when I thought this was gonna be easy, Sakura has certainly improved this level then I can imagine the rest… I guess I'll also have to show them how far I've come as well
