Calamity: 100 Years Later: Chapter 5: In Hateno Village
It was nighttime in the land of Hyrule. Crickets were chirping, fireflies were illuminating the night with their lights, and the temperature was warm since it was spring in the land of Hyrule.
Link was just riding back from Kakariko Village. He had just made it back to the sign which pointed in the direction of Kakariko Village. Link got off his horse, Epona, and took a look at the sign. The sign read "Kakariko Village on the left side, while the right read, "Hateno Village".
"Hateno Village. Maybe I could stop there to see the village and if anyone in the village can help me.", Link thought to himself. Link mounted back upon Epona and rode in the direction of Hateno Village.
Eventually, Link made it to Hateno Village. The village was different from Kakariko Village, since it didn't have the same architectural design and look of Kakariko Village. Villagers were outside shopping, dogs were running throughout the village, there were crops of food in the soil, and children were out and about playing in the village.
A villager standing outside a shop with a broom waved hi to Link, saying, "Hullo! Good evening stranger, where do you come from?", asked the villager.
"I come from the Shrine of Resurrection. I am Link, the lost hero of Hyrule. Only I can't remember what happened 100 years ago. I came here because I was told by Impa to journey to the Gerudo Desert, Zora's Domain, Death Mountain, and Rito Village.", said Link.
"Is that right? Well, nice to meet you Link!", said the villager.
"Same to you.", said Link. "By the way, is there someone that can help me with this Sheikah Slate?", asked Link.
"Why yes, just at the top of the village is Impa's older sister, Purah, in a technology laboratory.", said the villager.
"Thanks for the info!", said Link.
"Anytime, Link!", said the villager.
Link rode Epona up to the ancient tech lab and entered.
"Excuse me, are you Purah?", asked Link.
"Why yes I am, who wants to know?", asked Purah.
"I'm Link, the lost hero of Hyrule. I can't remember what happened 100 years ago, but I was told by Impa to go to the 4 regions of Hyrule to free the Divine Beasts from Ganon's magic. I also have this device called the Sheikah Slate. It can, apparently, take pictures and stuff like that but I can't seem to figure out how to do that.", said Link.
"Oh my, Link! I've been expecting you! I can't believe you're out of your 100 year slumber from the Shrine of Resurrection!", said Purah. "I'd be honored to help you get the Sheikah Slate to take pictures.", said Purah.
"You don't look like how I thought you would be.", said Link.
"Are you saying that I look like a child?! It's not my fault that I'm 124 and I look like this, I just age differently than Impa!", Purah said in an irritated tone.
"Right, sorry.", said Link.
"No, it's fine.", said Purah.
"Anyways, just hand me the Sheikah Slate and I'll give you the picture rune.", said Purah.
"Okay.", said Link.
Link handed Purah the Sheikah Slate and put it into a machine which dropped a liquid onto the slate, adding a new rune that allowed Link to take pictures. While doing this, the other runes were also upgraded so that recharging Stasis and Cryonis were much quicker.
"Wow! Thanks Purah!", said Link.
"Anytime Link!", said Purah. "You know, you should take pictures of everything in Hyrule such as weapons, tools, plants, animals, etc.", said Purah.
"Can do.", said Link.
Link then exited the ancient tech lab and hopped back on Epona. Link started to find more shrines while climbing the landscape.
Link then collected the Spirit Orbs and went to Kakariko Village to relax for the night.
