It's been a week since Jaune went on his date with Pyrrha. They got closer since then.
All was going well.
However, students of Beacon caught up on their relationship and posted it on social media.
This caused a reaction from the populace. They were angered that someone dared to go after their 'Invincible Girl'.
What made it worst was when someone posted that Jaune was the weakest student of Beacon Academy without a single win during Combat Class.
Cardin and his cohorts read what was written by the rabid fans. They snickered and shivered as those that wrote those things did not understand the terror that is Jaune Arc. Remembering what happened during Forever Fall was traumatising for them, but also a lesson they needed to learn.
Reading all the horrid things her fan is saying about Jaune, well, it is easy to imagine that even a nice and patient person such as Pyrrha had her limits.
If it wasn't for Jaune, Pyrrha would have attacked her rabid fans.
It took a lot of comforting Pyrrha to calm her down but Jaune baking a special cake for her calmed her down a lot.
"You know, you shouldn't mind them," said Jaune. He didn't care about the people calling him weak and pathetic. They don't know him personally and he cares not for their opinion.
"I know, but I feel bad about what they have done and what they might do to you. This is one of the reasons why I hate my fame. It gets in the way of me making a decent relationship. Many people either distance themselves from me because they felt inferior, or there are fanatics, who see me as an object of worship. If it wasn't because my family being in need, I wouldn't have become a Tournament fighter," said Pyrrha. She sighed. She was frustrated with her fans.
"I didn't know about that," said Jaune. When he heard about Pyrrha, he decided to check on her online, and he found an interview. It was never mentioned why Pyrrha decided to be a tournament fighter in the first place.
"It's not something I talk about with people…Now that I think about it, you are the first person I told of this. I was never close with anyone back home that I would share such personal things," said Pyrrha.
"I know that this is a touchy subject, but do you mind if I ask you what happened?" asked Jaune. He wanted to know more about Pyrrha and her home life.
"It's fine. I don't mind telling if it's you…Five years ago, my dad died during a mission. It was meant to be a simple mission, but something went wrong. Communications disappeared, and after a month, Headmaster Lionheart informed us of what happened. From there, my mom worked hard to be able to provide for us both, but she overworked herself and she ended up getting sick.
It was then that I heard about the Mistral Tournament. I admit, my motivation isn't as noble as yours since I was only doing it for the money, but I thought it was the best way to help with the bills of my mother's hospitalization. From there, I kept winning the tournament so that I can provide for mom and me," said Pyrrha. She looked at Jaune with a sombre look.
"No, you're wrong, Pyrrha. Your motivation was noble. You wanted to help your mother who got sick. To her you are her hero," said Jaune. He smiled at her.
"Thanks, Jaune," said Pyrrha. She then laid her head down on his shoulder.
"Hey, how about we head to Vale? Maybe that'll cheer you up. Plus, we can do so while saying to those rabid fans for yours that they can suck it and we are not going to break up," said Jaune.
Pyrrha smiled at that and nodded at him. She did find it hilarious that people would call Jaune weak and pathetic. She couldn't wait for the day that Jaune finally gets full control of his strength. That will show all the people who they are messing with.
Thirty minutes later, Jaune and Pyrrha were in Vale.
As soon as people spotted Pyrrha, they started flocking to her.
Although Jaune thought what he was about to do is horrible, it was a good way to practice it.
Jaune smiled and when Pyrrha saw it she knew that he was up to something.
The normally invisible crown on Jaune's head appeared and power flowed outwards from his body into the surrounding area.
The masses around Pyrrha and Jaune passed out due to not being able to withstand the pressure being exerted.
"How did you do that?" asked Pyrrha. She was curious. This is the first time she saw someone make a mass amount of people pass out without touching them.
"I have enough control of my abilities. From here on out, I don't have to hold back, but I don't plan to reveal it until the Vytal Tournament. As for what you witnessed. That is me using my energy to overwhelm them to the point that they lost consciousness," said Jaune. He couldn't help but smirk. A lot of the people in the crowd were giving him angry glares for they recognised him.
"That's lovely! I know that you've been worried that you might accidentally hurt someone with your monstrous strength, but now you have control, you don't have to worry as much," said Pyrrha. She was happy for Jaune. She could tell that he worries about accidentally killing someone since he had no control.
Jaune and Pyrrha walked around Vale.
When they walked past a bookstore, Jaune was curious about something. So, he decided to enter.
Why was Jaune in a bookstore with Pyrrha? That's because he was curious about the book that Blake like to read. It has been nagging at him and the feline refuses to tell him what it is about.
So, when Jaune saw the catchphrase of the store, he thought why not? It does say it has every book under the sun. They should have Ninjas of Love.
"Ha! Take that Blake! If you won't let me know what it is, I will find out myself!" said Jaune. Pyrrha was looking at him.
"What was that about?" asked Pyrrha. She has never seen Jaune do something like that before.
"Oh, nothing. It's just, I was curious about the book that Blake reads, but she refuses to tell me what the contents are about. So, I thought why not read it for myself?" said Jaune. He started searching for the book.
As Jaune and Pyrrha look for Ninjas of Love, two others entered.
A bell rang and the owner returned from the back to greet the people.
Jaune couldn't find the book. Plus, some idiot thought it would be a good idea to turn off the lights.
Thus, Jaune headed to the front to ask the owner if he had the book he was looking for.
As for Pyrrha, she found a book she was interested in and was reading it. Jaune didn't want to disturb her. So, he let her be. She was engrossed with the book.
As Tukson and the others were about to have a scuffle, Jaune appeared, and they had to stop.
Mercury and Emerald were supposed to lay low and killing Jaune would be a bad move. Hence, they had to retreat even if they were hidden behind Emerald's semblance.
"Is everything alright here?" asked Jaune. He saw the man with grey hair attack the owner.
"Yeah, nothing's wrong. We were just arguing about his catchphrase being a fake advertisement," said Mercury. He then signalled to Emerald that they needed to go. They knew who Jaune was since he was all over the news for being Pyrrha's boyfriend. Attacking and killing a Beacon Student would put them on the radar and Cinder wouldn't want that.
"Right," said Emerald. She nodded at Mercury.
"See you around," said Emerald. She waved goodbye.
Jaune ignored Emerald and Mercury and looked at the owner instead.
"You alright?" asked Jaune. He knew that the other two wanted to attack the owner.
"Yeah, thanks to you. I don't know what would have happened otherwise," said Tukson. He was grateful. He was sure that he was about to lose his life.
"By the way, I'm looking for a book with the title Ninjas of Love, do you have a copy?" asked Jaune.
Tukson was surprised that Jaune was looking for the book.
"Are you sure you have the right name of the book? That book's a bit…" said Tukson. He knew what the book contained.
"Yeah, it's the book I'm looking for," said Jaune.
"Well, okay. Hold on a minute, let me get you a copy," said Tukson. He headed to the back for a bit and took the book Jaune is looking for.
When Tukson returned, he had the book, a bunch of keys and luggage in hand.
"Here this is the book you are looking for," said Tukson. He handed the book to Jaune.
"How much for this copy?" asked Jaune. He didn't want to take advantage of the man just because he helped him.
"Keep it. Here take this," said Tukson. He handed the keys to the shop to Jaune.
"I want you to keep everything in this shop. It's yours now. It is my way of saying thank you…Anyway, I have to get going. Oh! And don't worry, this shop has been fully paid for. When I have time, I'll send you the deed, which I will mail to this shop," said Tukson. He took his luggage and booked it.
Jaune was… he couldn't put how he felt right now. He couldn't believe that he got an entire shop just because he helped a guy.
Jaune then heard a giggle. It was Pyrrha enjoying the book she was reading.
Thus, Jaune decided to give the book in his hand a read.
