Issei sat in his room, furiously mashing away at his controller. Next to him, Irina sat on a throw pillow, calmly pressing each button and performing combo after combo on Issei until…
"KO!" the TV said.
"This is bullshit!" Issei said, getting up and pointing at her with a shaky finger. "How? How did you knock me out with such a simple combo! I want a rematch right now!"
"Aw… you're still a sore loser like when you were a kid!" Irina said, flashing him a cheeky grin. She flipped the controller in her hand before selecting 'Return to Character Selection'.
"How the hell did I lose twice?" Issei said, sitting back down.
"Maybe… I'm just that good," Irina said as if she had an epiphany.
"I thought pride was a sin," Issei said, shooting her a deadpan look.
"It is if it makes you commit heresy. But it's not a sin if I'm absolutely wrecking a devil in a fighting game… with the supposed weakest character apparently," she replied, sticking her tongue out at him.
"I-"
The doorbell rang.
Issei sighed in annoyance.
"It's him again, isn't it, Issei-chan?" Mastema asked, hovering in the air above him.
[At least he hasn't broken into your house.] Ddraig offered.
"Not yet at least," Issei mumbled.
"Is it him again?" Irina asked.
"Yeah, let me go get the door," Issei said.
He left the room and made his way down to the front door. The strong smell of flowers and cologne filled his nostrils and made him want to gag. This idiot was going all out in trying to woo Asia… even when Asia wasn't there. Issei sighed as he pulled the door open.
Diodora Astaroth stood there with a smile on his face that made Issei want to snap his neck.
"Hello, brother-in-law! Is Asia there by any chance?" Diodora asked.
Brother-in-Law.
Issei felt a vein throb in his head. This was what Diodora had taken to calling him. When asked, he merely provided the reason being that Issei was more like a brother to Asia than a possible lover. Such a statement felt like a stab to Issei's heart. Asia was more to him than just a sister. But… where did he feel like he stood in their relationship? Certainly, Issei wanted to protect her and he had affection for her but was it really limited to just brotherly love like Diodora implied? That was one aspect where Issei felt confused.
"Brother-in-law?" Diodora said, seeing Issei had zoned out.
"She's not here," Issei said.
"Oh, well, can I just go inside and wait for her there?" Diodora asked.
"No," Issei said. He moved to slam the door in his face but Diodora stepped his foot into the doorway.
"Please. I really need to see her. I just want to express my wholesome affection for her wholeheartedly. And to express my gratitude for saving my life," Diodora said.
Issei resisted the urge to punch a hole through his skull.
"Didn't you do enough of that already?" Issei asked.
"Well, my gratitude can never be expressed enough. My love cannot be suppressed. I must show Asia just how much she means to me!" Diodora said.
"Astaroth."
Issei and Diodora froze upon hearing the cold tone. The two turned to see Mitsuki standing in the pathway with her arms crossed and Yorihime blatantly strapped to her waist. She wasn't wearing her school uniform but rather she wore a black trenchcoat above a brown vest and a white button-up. Her eyes shifted to red, unnerving Diodora considerably.
"W- Well, Lady Dantalion. I'm merely here to wait for my beloved to get home from wherever she is. Is it so wrong to express one's love so openly?" Diodora asked.
"It's not but trespassing is. Now leave before you have to express your love for Asia from an open casket," Mitsuki said, letting loose her demonic power.
The sight of lightning crackling across the empty air was enough to cow Diodora into submission. Clenching his fists tightly around the comically large bouquet, Diodora marched past Mitsuki, sending a minor amount of killing intent.
Sensing this, Mitsuki met his gaze briefly and unleashed a potent amount of murderous intent.
Diodora paled and walked even faster before summoning a magic circle and teleporting away from the Hyoudou residence.
"Thanks for that, Mii-chan," Issei said, wiping the sweat off his brow.
"No problem. Now go get changed," she said.
"Get changed?" he asked.
"Did you forget? We're going to go to the base today. Grandpa wants to have a meeting with you, me, and Ingvild regarding the nature of the case," Mitsuki said.
"Oh yeah… that's today." Truth be told, Issei had forgotten about their little excursion to Kyoto. Irina was here and he decided to waste the entire day playing video games with her and Lily.
Mitsuki raised her hand and poked Issei's forehead.
"Hey!" Issei said, covering his forehead.
"I can't believe you forgot," she chastised.
"Well, sorry! I don't have perfect memory. And don't use Lili-neechan's thing on me! That's the privilege of the oldest!" Issei said.
"Ugh… it's only three minutes, Aniki!" she protested.
Issei grumbled under his breath.
"Ingvild's waiting for us at my house. Go get changed!," Mitsuki said.
As he was about to go upstairs, he suddenly remembered that Irina was still there.
"What do I say to Irina? She's the only one here," Issei said.
"Tell her that you're going out for a few hours. If she asks where, just say around. If she asks if she can go with, just say that someone needs to look after Lily and then book it," Mitsuki said. "I'll be waiting here so when I see you, I'll just teleport us to my house."
"I… alright," Issei said.
He went back into the house and up to his room. Irina's focus was completely fixed on the game. Lily sat on her lap, watching the tv explode in a myriad of different colors and the sounds of dying zombies echoed through his room.
Issei stealthily got out the uniform that Mitsuki had gotten him. It was a simple two-piece suit. Black pants and a black blazer with a white button-up and a red tie at his request. He quietly slipped into them, glancing at Irina every so often.
"So… is there a reason why you're dressing in such an official get-up?" Irina asked, not even taking her eyes off the TV.
"H- How did you?" Issei asked.
"The reflection, you dumb butt. Now, where are you heading off to?" she asked, turning around.
"Just out… with Mii-chan."
"Oh cool! Can I come with?" Irina asked.
"Oh… um. Someone needs to look after Lily," Issei said.
"Eh? We can just bring Lily with us, no?" Irina tilted her head in confusion.
"Um… it's important. I'm just going out with Mitsuki to help her find a job," Issei said.
Irina raised an eyebrow but decided not to pursue it. Issei's outfit for a simple outing to find a job was already strange to her. Something was going on with those two. Something that they weren't telling anyone.
Wait… are they dating? Irina thought. She quickly banished the thought, remembering that those two were siblings and not lovers. Then… what are they hiding from everyone? Irina thought.
"Anyway, Mii-chan and I are heading out," Issei said. "We'll be back late."
Irina just nodded mutely and waited for Issei to descend down the stairs. Irina handed the controller to Lily. "Lily, stay here and play video games, okay? I'm going to go get a drink of water," she said, smiling at the girl.
Lily nods and focuses on the TV.
Irina quietly opens the door and sneaks over to the stairs. Hiding on the balcony, Irina looks at Issei and Mitsuki conversing. She strained her ears to listen to their conversation.
"Gate… open…"
Mitsuki suddenly placed her hand on Issei's hand, and the two instantly vanished from the living room.
Irina cursed herself. She needed to train her senses more. All she got from that conversation was something about a Gate opening.
But… Mitsuki teleported them really fast out of there. What's going on? She thought.
Beep!
Beep!
Irina almost jumped and fell down the stairs upon hearing the noise. She pulled her phone out of her pocket.
"Lord Michael… is using a chatting app? Whatever…" Irina unlocked her phone and read the message.
"Shoot! I forgot I have to meet up with him about Malkuth!" Irina jumped up from her spot and then ran back to her room.
"You two. Seriously," Ingvild said as they walk through the Gate into the Blacklight Hangar.
"Sorry! I forgot that it was today!" Issei said, rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment.
He tried not to look at how the uniform hugged Ingvild's mature, seductive body tightly. Fighting away the perverted giggles that threatened to surface, Issei slapped both his cheeks to compose himself.
"Anyway, Aunt Sae is meeting us in the lobby. Apparently, it's just Gramps and not… the other members of the Divine Ten," Mitsuki said, taking the lead.
Issei followed after the two, who were walking at a brisk pace.
He had vague memories of Mitsuki's Aunt. From what he could remember, Sae was in her late teens to early twenties when they were kids. She had left Kuoh for Kyoto when he and Mitsuki were about 7 years old and it had been 10 years since he had last saw her.
"So… when do we get the meet the other members of the Divine Ten?" Issei asked.
"We don't?" Ingvild replied.
"Usually, meeting the Chapter Head is hard. For me, it's easy since he's my grandfather but normally, it wouldn't be. Not only that but meeting all 10 of them? Extremely difficult if not virtually impossible," Mitsuki said.
"But considering the gravity of the situation, we might meet some from the other branches," Ingvild added.
"I see," Issei said.
The three entered the lobby. Mitsuki scanned the swarms of people heading to different departments or heading to the Hangar. She spotted a head of violet hair and immediately began walking toward her.
Issei and Ingvild could feel the pressure suddenly rise when the woman locked her red eyes with them.
"Aunt Sae!" Mitsuki said, waving.
"Mii-chan, you're 3 minutes late," Sae said, putting her phone back in her pocket.
She spoke in a tone that sent shivers through Issei's spine. This woman's stature and attitude demanded respect and oozed authority. This was what Mitsuki must have been referring to. A Division Captain. She fit the role and was certainly made for it. Now, Issei wondered what a Division Head was like.
"Sorry, I was getting Issei ready since this is his first debriefing," Mitsuki said, bowing to her aunt.
"It's of no consequence. Knowing Dad, he's probably in his room having a drink in the middle of the day," Sae said.
"Let's go." She beckoned for them to follow her to a cart.
The four boarded with Mitsuki sitting in the front next to Sae and Issei and Ingvild sitting in the back.
Sae began driving down the pathway, making the short drive to the Chapter Head's office.
"Um, it's been a while, Aunt Sae," Issei said.
"Almost 10 years, Hyoudou-kun. I see that you're a Devil now," Sae said, looking in the rearview mirror.
"Yeah, not by choice. If I didn't become one, I would've died," Issei said.
"We know. We've been monitoring Kuoh since Rias Gremory and Sona Sitri decided to go to school there. Your death marks the last major event since the appearance of a massive divine signature 17 years ago, the death of Masaomi Yaegaki and Cleria Belial, and the arrival of Rias Gremory and Sona Sitri," Sae said.
"Oh…" Issei tried not to say it. However, he wanted to say that Blacklight had been stalking him ever since that day.
"Are you still doing Kendo, Aunt Sae?" Issei asked.
He realized that he was horrible at making small talk at that moment.
"Not anymore. It's been a while but I do practice the sword," she replied, turning.
Issei just nodded and didn't say any more until they arrived at a set of double doors.
"I'll come pick you up after you finish with Dad. Just go for Blooming Orchid," Sae said.
The three nodded and turned to face the door.
Mitsuki pulled her AS out and placed it into the indent.
Welcome, Moon Halo.
The three walked in.
Issei gawked. It was like a scene straight out of a spy movie. There were pictures of various people he didn't recognize. The one oddity amongst these pictures was the one obvious Frenchman located at the end of the line. At the end of the hall, Issei could see a massive window that peered out into the lake of Kegon Falls. Various youkai and underwater life swam by, further cementing the spy movie feel to the entire place.
"That's Durand Lassois. He was one of Saint Jeanne D'Arc's closest confidants. He was the founder of the Japanese Branch before passing it on to his student, Kakeru Nanahara," Mitsuki said, noticing Issei staring at the photo.
"I see," Issei said.
"Mmm. I was surprised but also not. There were other Branches so Blacklight had to originate from somewhere. Imagine my surprise when I found out that it originated in Europe during the Hundred Years War as a military squadron called Lumière Noire," Mitsuki said.
"Come on. Grandpa is waiting for us," she said.
Issei followed after her and saw him for the first time.
He had a lot of expectations of Old Grandpa Adashino. Granted, he might have met him when he was younger but Issei was too young to remember. Instead of the hardcore, mysterious M that Issei expected, he was instead met by a drunk old man. His haori had a few beer stains on it and he wore a kimono under it. He let out a large belch before wiping his mouth and facing them.
"Grandpa… have some fucking tact!" Mitsuki grabbed the can and threw it at her grandfather.
Taki dodged it rather easily.
"Ahahaha! Kids these days," he said.
"Whatever, we're here now so can we get started with this debrief?" Mitsuki said. "Or is it just a briefing…"
[For the leader of a distinguished organization, this man is rather laid-back.] Ddraig said.
"Yeah… and he's a drunk too," Mastema commented.
"Who said it was a debrief? I called you here because I think you've been compromised," Taki said.
"Compromised?"
"Ingvild's data suggests that there's a demon in Kuoh. A high-level one at that. One we can possibly expect to be on par with the Four Great Satans or more," he informed.
"Eh? Couldn't you just have informed us via the RAT?" Mitsuki asked.
"No. We couldn't risk it," Taki said. "This is more secure. We didn't know if the bar had been bugged or anything of the sort. Bringing you three here was our safest bet."
Issei nodded.
"At any rate, Issei. I want you to be more careful now. With the data that you've all sent, I can say with certainty that you are one of the Fallen Humanity. A valuable one at that due to inheriting the Shevirat Ha-Kelim from the blood of the Origin Demon. Dantalion has gone through and tested your blood after you came here to get registered to confirm it.
"On the other hand, Khaos Brigade's movements have been spotted in the Underworld according to data provided to us by Rizevim-"
"We know Grandpa. We fought off two of their operatives while we were there," Mitsuki said.
"Three. The last one showed up to retrieve the others. I think… I think Vali Lucifer is also in the Underworld," Issei said.
"The White Dragon Emperor? Not surprising since he's tracking his father," Taki said.
"Father?"
"Vali's Father. Intel shows that…" Taki projected an image of a man with short silver hair and face-framing bangs. He had a mask that covered the upper half of his face and wore a silver suit.
"Raezavan Lucifer is there in the Underworld as well. Our source shows that he is affiliated with Khaos Brigade's Old Satan Faction," he finished.
"Vali's Dad. So the reason Vali's there is to help his dad?" Issei asked.
"No one knows," Taki said.
"But the data we do have…" Ingvild projected her own mapping. "Is that Khaos Brigade is planning to strike at a moment's notice. Possibly when everyone is occupied and the forces are concentrated in a single spot. They plan to take out the main ace of the alliance as of right now."
"The main ace?" Issei asked.
Taki folded his hands and looked at Issei.
"Rias Gremory's Peerage has thwarted an attack from Kokabiel and an attack orchestrated by Katarea Leviathan. Her peerage is now on Khaos Brigade's hit list. We believe this is an attack aimed at her," Taki said.
"An attack on Buchou… but…" Issei balled his fists. "We'll be careful! I'll do anything to protect Buchou!"
"Ahaha, the power of tits. I see," Taki said.
"By the way, Gramps, when are they planning to hit?" Mitsuki asked.
"We've informed the Faction Leaders. They plan to hit your Rating Game with Diodora Astaroth so be ready."
"What about the Fallen Children?" Issei asked.
Taki went silent and ran a hand through his hair. "That's a bit more difficult to handle. Serpent's Seed has practically gone radio silent as of now," he said.
"Eh? Radio silent?" Ingvild asked.
"The last abduction was in Russia. Anastasia informed me about it just a few hours ago. The person was under heavy surveillance yet the house went up in flames. Several agents were dispatched and all of them were brutally killed. Our last report was this…" Taki said.
He switched the image to one of a cloaked devil in a white mask. It had red hair framing the mask but aside from that, they couldn't make out any distinguishing features apart from the mask. Behind them, there was a house that was engulfed in flames and in their hands was the body of an unconscious Russian man.
"Hey, Mii-chan, doesn't this remind you of…?" Issei asked.
"Yeah, Parker's statement back in America. A Masked Devil that appeared and vanished like a ghost," she answered.
"But still… slipping into Russia and them not knowing until that happens. It just seems so impossible," Mitsuki said.
Issei was too lost now to follow what was happening. Why was what happened in Russia so shocking to them? To him, it just seemed strange that something that was happening everywhere was supposed to be common, right?
"But how? Even if they can do that, Russia is one of the most guarded places on the entire planet. The Russian Branch has access to all the cameras and even have some of their own, not to mention the countrywide warding that's supported and reinforced by Chapter Head Anastasia herself. There is no being, human or otherwise, capable of getting in and out of Russia without being noticed. Hell, they even earmarked the entirety of Siberia!," Ingvild said.
"We don't know. Anastasia has been scrambling her forces to find an answer but so far we have none. However, we do know this. There have been no attacks since," Taki said.
"That's a good thing right?" Issei asked.
"No, it's not, Aniki."
"Eh? Why not?"
Mitsuki glanced at her older brother and gave him a grave expression. She said her next statement with such gravitas that Issei almost stumbled in his spot.
"It means that whatever they're planning is almost complete."
"Ah, Irina. You're here."
Irina bowed respectfully to the man before her.
Michael, the current leader of Heaven and the second oldest of the Seven Archangels, was a very handsome man. He had long, luscious blonde hair and gentle green eyes that were shaped to appear as if they were in a perpetually sad manner. He was no longer dressed in his typical formal garb. Michael was now dressed in casual clothing consisting of a black shirt and a grey plaid jacket. He wore black pants and semi-formal shoes.
In Irina's eyes, her leader was all over the place when it came to clothing. She sighed and took a seat across from him, watching as Michael ate some burgers in front of her.
"Irina, I can't believe that some of our branches don't eat meat. Sister did the right thing by teaching humans how to domesticate livestock," Michael said.
Irina bristled. She didn't know what to think of Michael's statement. After joining the Brave Saints, Irina found that all of the Seraphs… bar a couple, adore the former Archangel Lucifer.
"Um… Lord Michael? We have a meeting?" Irina said.
"Oh, that's right!" Michael picked up a napkin and wiped away a stray piece of ketchup on his face. "I've come to inform you that I'll be heading down to the Underworld ahead of time for Rias-kun and Issei-kun's Rating Game."
"Eh? Really? What about your guard?" Irina asked.
"I'm bringing Eliza with me," Michael said.
Eliza-senpai?
Irina had only met Eliza twice but she was an up-and-coming Exorcist, slated for the position of second strongest female Exorcist. There was word that she'd surpass even Griselda but that was just hearsay. Whether or not the blonde nun could actually do it was something she wanted to see for herself.
"Eliza-senpai is?" Irina asked.
"Mmm. Dulio is too busy running around buying more sweets. You know how he is. And Elizabeth is the second strongest member of my Deck after Dulio. It's only natural for her to represent Heaven. I assume you're going as the Gremory Peerage's plus 1?" Michael asked.
"I am," Irina said, leaning back in her chair.
"Then I have nothing to worry about," he said.
"By the way, Lord Michael. Is there any word on Khaos Brigade?" Irina asked.
"We do. But you don't have to worry about it. We know where they are and what they're planning so we have the proper countermeasures. Black Cat Kuroka and Monkey Prince Bikou, along with the Wielder of Caliburn, Arthur Pendragon, made us increase our defenses," Michael replied.
"I see." Irina grabbed the menu and pretended to browse for food items.
"How is Malkuth?" Michael asked.
"Malkuth? It's doing fine. I've synced with it well enough. I used it in a spar against Durandal but I wasn't sure how it would hold up against the Holy Sword known for breaking swords," Irina said.
"That's a relief. And don't worry about that. Divine Keys are extremely durable weapons, capable of withstanding immense amounts of trauma and never breaking," Michael said.
"Well… I still need training with it. I don't think I can ever live up to Lady Sandalphon's skill with the blade," Irina admitted.
"Hmph, don't worry. I've got the fix to your problem. After the entire thing with Khaos Brigade is sorted out, I'm sending Gabriel down to Kuoh in my place as the Angel Advisor to Kuoh. She and Azazel will be working very closely with you and the Gremory Peerage," Michael informed her.
"Eh? Lady Gabriel?" Irina asked.
"Mmm. I originally assigned Azrael but she has an assignment in Iran. Something about a girl being killed there," Michael said.
Irina nodded but was doubtful that Gabriel would make any good contributions. Her impressions of the woman were poor. In her eyes, Lady Gabriel was just an airhead with a lot of power. The power to level the entirety of North America if she wanted to.
"Don't underestimate Gabriel or she'll pull the wool over your eyes when you least expect it," Michael said, seeing her expression.
"I'll keep that in mind," Irina said.
"Azazel should know. Being trolled by Gabriel is the last thing you want to do," he said.
"Did you just… say troll?" Irina tilted her head in confusion.
"Yeah, I did. Did I say it right?" he asked.
"Er… yeah, you said it just fine," she replied.
"I am just warning you not to underestimate Gabriel. Many deities have done that and have been mind raped by her wit. She is not someone to take lightly. Why do you think Serafall Leviathan has such a rivalry with her? Gabriel has been trolling Satan Leviathan for the past 500 years since her ascension. There is nothing Gabriel won't do to anger her for her own amusement," Michael said.
"I'll… I will keep that in mind." Provided that Lady Gabriel is actually like that but I highly doubt it. Lord Michael's just being a good brother and sparing his younger sister's feelings, Irina thought.
"Before I go, I need to warn you," Michael said, beginning to eat his fries.
"What is it?" Irina asked.
"A great darkness has fallen over Japan. One the likes of which I haven't seen since the Great War," Michael said.
"What are you trying to say, Lord Michael?" she said.
"I'm saying to be careful. This darkness was in the Underworld, permeating the entirety of the Young Devil Gathering and Gremory Mansions. Asmodeus informed me of it and so did Azazel," Michael explained.
Michael dipped his french fry in some ketchup.
"Not that it could be something but it's strange," he said.
"Diodora Astaroth has been visiting us for the past couple of weeks…" Irina muttered.
"What was that?"
"Maybe it's Khaos Brigade stalking the place out?" Irina asked.
"Most likely but… I highly doubt it. This power is too foul for anyone in the Old Satan Faction. Whatever it may be…" Michael pops another fry in his mouth "Be ready for whatever is thrown at you."
"Do you still sense it, Lord Michael?" Irina asked.
"Faintly but it's still here," he said.
Not just one anymore. There are faint traces of a second and this one is even stronger than the other… he thought.
"I'll keep that in mind too, Lord Michael," Irina said.
The preparation for a Rating Game behind the scenes was something most people didn't know. Young Devils all assumed that the space was conjured out of nowhere but that was not the truth. Calibrating Dimensional Magic. Calculating the space-time curvature needed to stabilize such a space while also casting the illusion magic needed to recreate an entire battlefield that can fool all 5-senses was hard. Maintaining the elimination system was even harder. Calibrating it to be able to take someone out faster than a lethal attack required a lot of preparation and hard work. It was something Young Devils would never understand. These people knew they were just Devils, not Gods.
Rating Game Technicians took their jobs very seriously.
"Lise! We'll be heading out now!" a female technician said.
"Got it!" Lise waved as her coworkers left.
"Lise, are you still working overtime?" her manager asked as he was preparing to leave.
"Yeah, unfortunately, Lord Beelzebub wants all of this done by the time of the Rating Game. And I'm the only person certified as an ABT so I'm stuck with all of these calcs and calibrations. Makes me regret getting my MS in Dimensional Magic," Lise said, rubbing the back of her head.
"Well, don't stay for too long. Don't Gremorys like spending time with their families?" her manager asked.
"Pfft… that's an old wives tale. Everyone loves spending time with their family," she said.
"Well, see you later, Lise," her manager said. "You can lock up and turn off all the lights afterward, right?"
"Got it, Manager! Have a safe trip home and say hi to the kids for me!"
"I will and you stay safe, 'kay girlie?" he said.
"I always am, Manager," Lise said.
After her manager left, Lise continued her work, calibrating the fluctuations and adding the security runes. Lord Beelzebub had tasked her with the security of the match after all and she would work on it as per his order. Her face lost its prior emotion as she inserted and removed runes. Her fingers typed at such high speeds that even the strongest gods would be incapable of perceiving them.
She was trained in many forms of magic and taught many concepts in her long life as a Devil.
"And I'm almost done… just a few more…"
Yes, Lord Beelzebub had given her this task and she would accomplish it.
She never failed.
Every task she had been given she had excelled at.
Who was she to start failing tasks now? It would besmirch her honor and that of her leaders. As she removed the last rune and finished calibrating the elimination system, she began working on the barrier permissions. This was an easy task that took no longer than five minutes.
"And done." Lise shuts down the system and stretches her arms and legs.
She begins packing her work supplies into her bag and walks out of the Rating Game Control Room, humming a song of which she had faint memories of in her head. As she leaves, she pulls her phone out of her pocket and makes a call.
"Yes, this is me."
"..."
"I've finished everything on schedule. It's ready for us to use."
"..."
"I assure you that I have full control of it," she said, turning into an alleyway. Once she was sure that no one could see her, Lise reached into her bag and pulled out a white porcelain mask.
"Good… then wait for my signal, Apollyon. And good work."
"Of course. I will await your orders," she said, placing the mask on.
Apollyon held her hand out and cast magic to change her clothing. Her uniform was replaced with a flowing black cloak that allowed her to blend into the shadows. Her baby blue eyes began to glow cobalt blue and her eyes shifted into a pentagram design with magical runes arranged in a circle.
She hangs up the phone and looks at the violet moon of the Underworld with her icy blue eyes.
"It will be done, Lord Beelzebub."
Her body began to glitch and fade into nothingness, leaving no trace of her presence in the Underworld, whatsoever.

Even if that's true, you need to show some respect to your Grandfather. -Azure Moon

To Anon-kun: Yes, I was! I was going for that. There will be bloodshed!
To TyrantLordKllidia: Yeah. The game will be semi-canon compliant up to a certain point. Obviously, as you could see, the factors here are different as they were in canon what with Raezavan being alive and Vali Lucifer hunting him down. To be fair though, Raezavan is my most sus character right now.
Yes, yes, yes. You read that correctly. Raezavan Lucifer is alive! Since Rizevim was with the Underworld this whole time, Rizevim never committed filicide, leaving Raezavan alive and to serve as... a Khaos Brigade Member! Or is he? We'll find out in a few chapters. But yes, Vali is hunting his father down. Everyone who's read DxD should know who Raezavan is. He's not an OC for you anime-onlys. Raezavan is a canon character. For all you... OG readers from the old era of this fic, stop talking about Til Midnight on Reddit. I've seen it. And that Wattpad guy who copied my fic without my permission, thank you for taking it down when I asked. With that being said, for everyone from the original era, you know what's coming. You know what to brace yourselves with. Because after Volume I, Volume II will be nothing like it was in the first two runs. This is the only run where you know what's going to happen. The only thing you know will happen in Volume II is the consequences of someone's actions. And with that, I will leave you all to think.
And the new OC, she may or may not be part of Issei's harem.
Please leave a review! I read them. As you can see above, I answer them! And don't forget to follow... or don't! I might change this fic's rating soon because gore.
