Despite the relieving news, the muscles in his jaw still clenched. "That does not excuse her behaviour."
"No," she said. "But it's one less thing to worry about."
His eyes narrowed. "She will likely continue to host gatherings during that time."
Kagome shrugged. "Probably."
"You are far too passive considering their earlier antics."
"Oh, I'm still pissed. But I can't stop her from doing it in her own place." She waved a hand, motioning to the bar walls. "Once the locks are changed, I'll actually be able to hang up photos again. The number of times I came home to broken frames is ridiculous."
Sesshoumaru scowled, not only at how long Kagome had been dealing with this nonsense but because the whole point of this confrontation was to stop the noise from happening. "Does she have a set schedule when it comes to her parties?"
Kagome raised an eyebrow at him. "Are you planning on crashing one?"
"Certainly not," he scoffed. "But if I know about it beforehand, I can plan to utilize one of the 24-hour cafés and make the time productive."
She gave him a considering look, resting her arms on her knees after pulling them up to her chest. "Sounds boring."
"Do you have a better idea?"
Cheeks turned pink as blue eyes sparkled. "You could take me out to dinner instead."
