Prince Hidden in the Sands
Brightroar and Dawn have been made longswords and not greatswords like they were in canon. This Chapter and the next start on a bit of a flashback, explaining things for the future.
Chapter 5 will have your answer on pairing or harem. And if it's the latter it'll also have who will be a part of it.

King's Landing - 14 Years Ago
—
"Mama? What's going on?" The innocent voice of Princess Rhaenys Targaryen asked, with her baby brother in her arms. Pushing her along was Elia Targaryen, who showed the face of someone calm and relaxed. The reason for the question was pretty simple as outside of their room they could hear the screams and clash of swords. "Mama?"
Rhaenys looked up and found black eyes looking down at her. "Don't worry sweety, you and Aegon will be safe soon," Elia said, as she released her hold on the small of the princess' back.
The young princess was confused, understandably so, with the sound of so much going on around her and her brother, and when Rhaenys caught a glimpse of the outside world, she saw fires engulfing homes and the like.
Watching as Elia played with something on the wall, the princess watched as a hidden passage opened to reveal a man wearing black and a face hidden under a hood. With the mysterious man were 2 others, one was an almost perfect copy of her and the other was a babe.
"Good you brought them." Rhaenys heard her mother say above her. Looking to the future Queen and found her grabbing a bag of what the youngling could only assume was gold and silver. "Your loyalty to me and my family will never be forgotten, Ser. Now you must hurry."
Hearing this made the young princess worry, as she felt her mother gently push her and Aegon in the mysterious figure's direction. Releasing a hold on her brother, Rhaenys grabbed a bit of Elia's dress.
"Mama, what's happening please don't go." She said with her voice filled with worry and fright. Rhaenys watched as the older woman looked down at her with a small smile.
"Don't worry Rhae, I'll be right behind you and together we will go see Ari and your uncles." She said, but as the future queen spoke, Rhaenys felt like she wasn't being honest. They both jumped when loud banging could be heard. "Shit." The princess heard her mother say. "You must go now!"
In a matter of a few seconds, Princess Rhaenys Targaryen watched as her beloved mother Elia Targaryen, pushed her and Aegon towards the stranger, taking the ones he brought and as the door slowly closed. When the door closed Rhaenys could hear multiple things happening from the other side.
The first was the sound of a door breaking down, followed by the sound of storming steps. It didn't take long until her ears were filled with crying and screams, all of them belonging to who Rhaenys could guess were her mother and the children she had. Then silence, everything seemed to freeze as the princess felt warm hot tears fall from her eyes.
"Come princess. We must hurry." The man said as he took her brother and just as quickly picked her up into his other arms, and hurried down the winding stairs. Looking towards the man's face, Rhaenys found the familiar face of Richard Lonmouth, who decided to stay and sneak his way into King's Landing to guard Elia and her children.
Must have felt her eyes on him, the young lord looked to her with a kind smile. "You don't need to worry, Princess. We will be safe soon." Nodding her head, the young princess rested her head on the man's shoulder and allowed herself to let out all of the tears she had.

Elsewhere(A few weeks before the end of the last chapter)
—
Rhaenys shot up into a sitting position with sweat rolling down her forehead. This was the seventh time she woke up to that dream in a sweat. 'Why am I remembering that horrid night?' She asked herself as she took deep calming breaths.
What happened after laying her head on Ser Richard's shoulder, Rhaenys could never remember, the memories were foggy and blank. But what the Princess did know was that when she regained consciousness her hair was shaved clean and her robes were the clothes of a common person, and she was on a ship going east, but most of all neither Richard nor Aegon were her.
And after 14 years of being raised by a man, she didn't know the name or identity of, all she knew was that he reminded her of the two men her grandfather burned alive. Former Princess Rhaenys Targaryen found herself living in the free city of Braavos, working daily at the harbour and sparring with her guardian on her days off.
Rhaenys jumped when she heard the front door of her small home opening. "Rhae?" The thick voice spoke out, and immediately she calmed herself down, already knowing the owner. "If you are in your room, then please come out. We need to talk."
Throwing the sheet to the side, Rhaenys called out. "I'll be right there." Finished she walked over to the wash bowl, and after cleaning her face off of the sweat and extra areas.
Once she was done getting dressed in a new tunic one that was able to keep her ample bosom under it, and breeches, with her shoulder-length hair in a ponytail, the 17-year-old hidden princess left her room and made her way to the dining room, where Rhaenys found her guardian and mentor.
The man was 6' tall, with broad shoulders, and under the armour, chain, and leather, Rhaenys knew there to be well-refined muscle. His hair was shoulder length and was black with little areas of natural blonde, making him unique in that way. He also had mismatched eyes, one being silver gray and the other an emerald green, but his eyes screamed age, but the man himself looked no older than 33. He also carried a long sword on his belt, one with a roaring lion head pommel and well designed and decorated handle and guard.
The man before Rhaenys was what she thinks was perfect. Yes, she knew what the sword was and who it belonged to, but even though she didn't know his identity, the princess knew he was a sellsword for the Company of the Rose.
Having noticed her presence and stare, the man's eyes found her and he spoke. "I take it that you have work today at the harbour?" Rhaenys simply responded with a nod as she went and grabbed a loaf of bread and a fruit. However, doing this made it so she couldn't see they had extra company. "Well, I recommend you quit."
Hearing this made the hidden princess stop mid bite of her apple. Looking at the man, she asked. "Why? What has happened?" Rhaenys was expecting many things for a response, the Fat King discovered she was alive, or maybe even they were moving.
But what she got, brought back memories of a knight wearing a bat engraved into a helmet, with dark humour, as a voice spoke up from behind her. "Because it's time for you to return home Princess."
Turning around, Rhaenys found a kneeling figure of a man. "Batty?" She called out the nickname she gave him so long ago.
She watched as the knight stood up with a chuckle. Oswell Whent looked just as he did when she last saw him. An average-height man with plain blondish/brown hair, that was shaved all but the top but even then it was fairly short. But the most recognizable part of the man was his eyes, mischievousness-filled blue eyes. Rhaenys could tell the man was wearing mail under the leather he was wearing, he also had a pure white cloak covering his right shoulder, covering his arm and sword.
"I see that name has stuck with me after 14 years, Princess," Oswell said with a small smile.
Rhaenys nodded with a chuckle. "It seems it has, Ser Oswell." She said, correcting her earlier comment. However, doing so also reminded half Targaryen about what he said. Her eyes widened at what it could mean, and her heart warmed at what it could mean. "So you found Aegon?"
What happened next, destroyed her dreams of seeing her father or mother, which already confirmed all of the rumours she refused to believe, but even then deep down she knew they were true. But it also confirmed that Aegon was gone, which made Rhaenys shed tears she hasn't let loose for years.
"I'm sorry Princess, but your brother Prince Aegon has been lost." The White Bat said as he bowed his head and stepped forward and took her hands into his. "But there's still hope for your family, Princess. You have another brother and your family is waiting for you and have been spending years trying to find you."
Looking up into the man's blue eyes, Rhaenys felt the honesty in them. "What do you mean I have another brother?" She said, her voice weak from the emotions she felt, but her attention was all on the Kingsguard, who explained that her father took a second wife, Lyanna Stark, and they had a son who has been going by the name Jon Snow, and has been living with her uncle Oberyn and the Martells. "So… I'm going to see my uncle and brother?"
The response didn't come from the man before her but from her mentor behind her. "Aye." Rhaenys looked behind her to find him looking away from her. The princess knew he was hiding his face for a reason, and to her it was understandable. Having spent 14 years training and raising her, he probably sees her more as a daughter he never had. "You are going to Norvos with Oswell to return to your family."
Releasing her hold on the knight's hand, Rhaenys looked at him with a small smile, and the former Kingsguard nodded, leaving out the front door to stand guard and to give the 2 space.
Walking over to her mentor she slowly enclosed him in her arms. "I know I should have asked this a long time ago, but who are you and what do you do?" She asked slowly, as the man leaned onto her.
She heard him chuckle as he spoke. "Well it's pretty obvious, but I'm the captain of the Company of the Roses, and with me being the leader, I apologize that I couldn't spend more time with you." He said, but Rhaenys only squeezed him in return. Silence followed as the 2 spent probably the last time together. "My name… my name is Lonnel Snow. My father, funny enough, is a forgotten Lannister by the name Lorean Lannister and my mother is Serena Snow, a distant descendant of Brandon Snow, the founder of the Company of the Rose."
When she heard this she was a bit mortified. A Princess of the last Targaryen Reign, her mentor and honestly first crush, was a descendant of the bastards who betrayed her family. But after thinking about it she allowed it to let go. He never wished to harm her and never showed a sign of it. If he did then she probably wouldn't even be alive.
"Thank you for taking care of me Lonnel." Was all she said, as she closed her eyes and thought of ways to probably bring him with her. When it came, Rhaenys felt so stupid that she didn't think about it earlier. "Come with me."
The comfortable embrace was broken when he pulled back and got to his feet with a chuckle. "I can't Princess. I have a company to run and my men too."
Rhaenys stopped him right there, standing to her full height which honestly wasn't taller being 5' 7". "I hire you and your company to keep me company and to keep me safe. My uncle will see that I was kept safe and not only will he give you the gold but also plenty of rewards for keeping me alive and bringing me to him."
She looked into his mismatched eyes and watched as they had an inner conflict and after a few minutes, a raised lip appeared on his face. "Then you have my sword and company Princess." Rhaenys smiled at what he said, but when the lip dropped, she knew he wasn't done. "However, if we are ever attacked or ambushed, you are to listen to every command I say. So if I say run for your life, I expect you to run for your fucking life."
Understanding what he meant, and the tone he was using, Rhaenys nodded. "Of course." She then watched as her mentor nodded, hearing the honesty in her voice.
With that Lonnel told her to pack her things and get ready. Doing as he Rhaenys went about her room and packed as minimal as she can, and all the while she was doing this, a smile was plastered on her beautiful face. Rhaenys Targaryen will be returning to her family and even though she didn't have them all, she still had the ones that could keep her happy.

Rhaenys couldn't help but allow the tears to flow as a warmth filled her body. "Hello, Uncle Oberyn." She said her voice cracking as the walls of emotions broke through. The man only squeezed her closer, and she finally returned the embrace.
After so many years, one will miss the warmth of their family. So when the Red Viper broke the connection between Uncle and Niece, the princess couldn't help but let a frown appear. However, it quickly left as Oberyn grabbed both sides of her face, and planted a kiss on her forehead.
"We thought you were dead Little Rhae." He said with a smile on his face, his hold never leaving as his black eyes went up and down her figure. "But to see you before my eyes… I hope this isn't a dream."
The Princess chuckled, as he placed a hand over his. "It's not a dream, Uncle. I am very much in fact alive and before, and that I swear on the old gods of Valyria." Hearing this brought a laugh out of the man, as he embraced her once more.
Behind her, Rhaenys knew Oswell, and Lonnel were smiling at the sight, and with them was another distant descendant and relative to the latter, for Torrhen Stark's bastard brother was more wolf than anyone thought. His name was Edrick and he was the captain of the Wolf Pack.
"You look almost exactly like your mother, Rhae." She heard her uncle say and he once again broke the hug. Rhaenys then couldn't help but blush at what happened next. "But these are some sort of sorcery," Oberyn said as he held his hands under her breasts.
"Uncle!" She practically shrieked, making the man laugh as she backed away. "Do you do that to all of my cousins?! By the Dragon Gods, you are even more disgusting than I remember!" Rhaenys said covering herself but also fixing her dress, something they brought when they arrived in the Free City.
The princess then watched as he faked a painful look and held his heart. "Oh, such harsh words dear nephew. Harsh words that are in fact true." He said smiling and stepping towards her. "I do it in the act of love Little Rhae, but most of all to see if you have a mother potential, which I'm happy to say Nym, Tyene, Ari and now you have a perfect build for birthing."
Hearing this made Rhaenys smile as memories of those three came to mind. Yes, she was young when she first saw them, but those memories stuck with her, reminding her of the happy times when she had a mother, father, and friends.
"Are they here?" She asked quietly, hoping to see them once more after so long. But when she got her answer, it wasn't from her Uncle, it came with the opening of doors. Revealing 3 females that had wide eyes at the sight of her, and close to them was a black and silver-haired teen.
However when her deep purple looked into his swimming amethyst, Rhaenys was reminded of a dream long ago, and she couldn't help but mutter. "Daemon the Dragonbringer."
