Moses was shrieking with laughter as Ianto re-enacted the scene for him and at one point Owen scolded him for making the old cat cough as he lost his breath.

"So, what now?" Owen asked once things had calmed down.

"Well, now we go to the warehouse and torch the place." Ianto shrugged "Once we get the poor bug out of course."

"Ewwwwwwwww, I don't want anything to do with that shit" Owen shivered with disgust at the mere thought of the thing.

"Oh, OK. You stay behind and mind the base. Was gonna put it on remote so you could all come and help but… you're right. Nothing to do with you" Jack shrugged as he rose from his chair and signaled the others out.

Into rose as well, looking over at the two left in Owen's chair then said softly "Moe? What about you? Even if Owen is not interested, are you? Wanna see us blow shit up?"

Owen made a strange goggling noise as he struggled to his feet and stated to run after them, Moses clutched to his chest "OI! You never told me there was gonna be blowing up of shit!"

In the end they all went.

.

.

They had been too late for the bug, the poor thing seemed to have shrink into a ball before simply giving up. Owen was upset, despite his revulsion. He felt that if he had acted quicker, had not made them waste time convincing him to come that it might still be alive.

"Owen, it's cold. Dead for at least an hour, the few minutes of silly did not make a difference" Jack said as he patted the man on the shoulder, Owen preferring the comfort of Moses as he stood back by the SUV not even excited about the explosions now. But then Jack made a loving decision in handing the detonator over to Owen once they were satisfied that the explosives were ready to go and Owen felt a little better.

It was LOUD!

.

.

"Can we close it?" Owen asked from the back seat as they drove in relative silence, all of them chewing over what had happened.

"Close what?" Jack barked back as he swing around a corner.

"That portal. We have never tried to redirect but… if we place a charge and blow the area up can we disrupt things?" Owen surmised. "Break the connection?"

"Wouldn't work. It's incoming, not outgoing" Toshiko argued back.

"What if we shortfall it? Like… can we somehow redirect it short of this dimension, into falling short in another universe?" Ianto asked, turning to look at Moe who seemed to consider the question along with him.

"What the hell does that mean?"

"We would need one big arsed magnet… maybe. Right?" Ianto asked Moses as he drummed his fingers on his leg.

"If we had one strong enough, set to repel, not attract we might be able to disrupt the neuron flow, yes" the cat answered with a nod of his fuzzy head.

"There is that one at the Science Museum attached to the university right? Me and Andy were there when it was being installed, we did traffic control. You know, that one they say could pull an airplane? They managed to get a Mack truck to move towards it. Don't know if it can be reversed to send things away but… something like that?" Gwen asked and they all gaped at her with mute shock.

She had a brilliant suggestion.

Who would have thought it?

.

.

Owen swaggered into the main reception area of the university and leaned on the counter to leer at the poor girl behind it in a fair parody of John Hart "Hi. Do you guys have a HUGE arsed magnet thing?"

She stared back at him.

"In the science museum here… that big magnet thing?" Owen made a show of flapping his hands as the two small cats ran past into the huge gallery with total invisibility, all eyes on the fucktard at the counter.

"This way Moe" Ianto said as he picked up speed. The two cats skidded on the marble floor as they moved towards the large machine in the middle of the room. The explosion as the side wall blew spewed debris behind them but it did not slow their run as they knew Jack would overdo the charge. He always over measured it.

"If we were always just going to steal it in broad daylight, why the whole thing with Owen and the cats?" Gwen asked as she staggered from the large flat bed truck Rhys had backed in through the gaping hole and her coms cracked as Jack laughed softly at the question.

"Because he wanted to" came the reply.

"And you say I am overindulged" Moses sad as he watched Ianto transform so his hands could help uncouple all the many bracings that held the machine on it's table. Then Ianto transformed again, the huge monster the size of a VW now placing his paws on the machine to simply shove it into the back of the truck. He looked like a huge black wolf, or werewolf… or hell hound… he kept fluctuation as he considered what he wanted to look like, then gave up as it was all silly really. He liked being Ianto, Jack liked him as Ianto and as he looked over at the cat who had watched his display with the usual disinterest.

"You looked silly as a blue one" the cat finally said

"I was not blue!" Ianto frowned.

"Maybe it was the aurora that was… but it was silly. Don't do that again" the old cat demanded as he walked over and stood waiting to be picked up.

Ianto picked him up.

"Come on Moses, let's go repel some bugs."

"Bug Repellent, prefect name for my new toy" Owen patted the side of the machine as Gwen clambered onto the back of the truck, "Let's roll out."

They rolled.
