Obi wan stared blankly at where Anakin had been sitting just a moments before for a moment, the he stood and followed his brother out of the house he hadn't expected Anakin to react to the news that Luke and Leia were Padme's twins the way he had so Obi wan followed him to make that Anakin was okay.

But he only got as far as the front porch before he saw Anakin sink down on his nees in the sand of front yard, Obi wan sighed and made his way down the porch steps and over to where Anakin nelt in the sand.

When he reached Anakin he could see tears welled in his brother's eyes and as he looked up at him and Obi wan , nelt down beside him and put his arm around Anakin's shoulder's and said " I m sorry Anakin I'm sorry that I couldn't tell you about the twins sooner".

"But your here now and it's not to late for you to get to know them " Obi wan told him now but Anakin just shook his head and said " no I don't deserve too play any part in their lives anymore not after all the horrible things that I did 3 years ago ! I killed children Obi wan!" Anakin told his with tears running down his face.

Obi wan swallowed hard and said softly " I know what you've done Anakin I saw the carnage you left behind you at temple, I still see those dead children in my nightmares Anakin so believe me I know what you did,but palpatine manipulated and lied to us all for years and you have chance too at least try and start to fix things starting with Luke and Leia " Obi wan told him now.

At this Anakin looked at Obi wan and said " How Master ? how can I even start to make things right master after what I've done?" Obi wan smile sadly and said " you could start by being here for Luke and Leia Anakin they need you ".

Just then Luke and Leia came out of the house and trotted over to Obi wan and Anakin realised that Obi wan was right , he could start making things right by being here for the twins and maybe in time when Luke and Leia were a little older he and Obi wan could start looking for other order 66 survivors .

And of course he would have to face and deal with Palpatine at some point in the future , but for now learning how to be a good dad to Luke and Leia and rebuilding his friendship/ brotherly relationship with Obi wan would have be enough,he only hoped that Obi wan would be willing to stay on Tatoonie help him with Luke and Leia .

As the thought of being alone and trying too raise two three year old's that barely knew him was terrifying, what if he failed them the same way that he had failed Padme, Obi wan and all of his friends , what Palpatine found them and he betrayed them the way he had the children at temple because Palpatine's ability to manipulate and twist his mind to serve his evil purpose again like he had 3 years ago Anakin thought to himself sadly.

Suddenly Anakin was broken from these thoughts by Luke hugging him and then Leia doing the same and Anakin could help but smile now and hug them back for a moment, before looking at Obi wan who was silently watching them with a smile.

Before he stood and headed back to the house leaving Anakin, Luke and Leia in the front yard together. Suddenly a wave of dread filled Anakin as he too stood and walked back to the house with the twins in tow.

A few minutes later Anakin and the twins re-entered the house to find Obi wan putting a ornate wooden chest down on a small table in living room, Anakin stared at the chest and remembered that it had been Qui gon's he hadn't seen it since Obi wan had put Qui gon's things into storage shortly after Qui gon died nearly 17 years ago.

He had assumed that it had been destroyed along with so many other things in the temple during order 66, but it seemed he was wrong and that Obi wan had somehow been able too save it from burning in fire he had set in their old quarters at the temple.

"Is that Qui gon's chest Obi wan ?" Anakin asked as he sat down on the sofa and Luke climbed up on the sofa and then plonked himself down on Anakins lap ,while Leia chose to sit next to Obi wan on the arm of the arm chair across from sofa .

Obi wan nodded and said softly " yes , Dex had it in storage at the diner for me along with some of the other things that I didn't want council to know that I had kept" .

'So that's why it survived the fire at the temple 3 years ago, I wonder what else survived order 66 due to Obi wan hiding them at Dex's ' Anakin now thought to himself, as his brother leant forward in his seat and opened the chest and removed a object wrapped in some kind cloth and then held out the cloth wrapped object to him and said " here I think that you may want this back it's yours anyway ".

Anakin tentively took the cloth wrapped object and started to unwrap it and as he did he realised what the object was, it was his lightsaber the one Obi wan had take from him on Mustafar.

" You kept it" Anakin muttered softly "why?"he then added as he looked at Obi wan confused as why his brother would keep his lightsaber when he should hate the very sight of it.

Obi wan sighed and said " I was planning on giving it to Luke when he was old enough, just as I was going give this to Leia when was older " Obi added as he onice again reached into the chest and took out a much smaller box and opened it and showed Anakin the necklace that it contained.

Anakin stared at the necklace for a moment it was Padme' s the same one he had given her to remember him by when he was 9 years old, Anakin couldn't he had thought that she had been buried with it , well least that's what Padme's sister had told him .

Now it seemed that Padme had given to Obi wan for save keeping until Leia was old enough to have it Anakin thought to himself, and seemed that Obi wan had been planning to do just that until Anakin had returned from grave so to speak.

" I thought this was buried with Padme "Anakin said to Obi wan as he took the necklace from the box that Obi wan held out to him. Obi wan smiled sadly and shook his head and said "No Padme wanted Leia to have the original so Bale had copy made and the copy was buried with Padme.

While I kept the original for Leia but now that your back you can give it too her when you think the time is right for her to have it, Anakin nodded and said " I don't think that I want Luke to have lightsaber until he a good bit older than I was though when got my first one".

Obi wan could help but smile at the memory a 13 year old Anakin proudly showing him his newly finished first lightsaber , had that day really been over 20 years ago now Obi wan wondered although he had to admit that if Luke turned out to anything as butter figured as Anakin had been though out his teenage years Anakin may want to wait until Luke was at least 16 years old before letting him have his own lightsaber.
