It was time for the USJ exercise. Kuri bounced on her feet, halfway in the air at all times. She was excited to show her stuff!

But…she had a weird feeling. It was her quirk, clairsentience, telling her something bad was going to happen. She scanned her classmates discretely. Which one of them was doomed; and what could she do?

Fate was…absolute…feeling it didn't really change anything. Kuri sighed. Best not think about it n—

And that's when she was whisked away.

At the last moment, she folded her wings quickly so the villains didn't know she could fly.

She landed gracefully, then realized Deku was with her.

"Zu! They didn't see my wings!" Kuri exclaimed, spreading them. "I'm gonna fly you to land, then get help!" Kuri held out her arms.

Deku hesitated. "What about the villains?"

"We don't have time to fight them, and I don't want you to get hurt!" Kuri said hurriedly, eyes darting looking for danger, furious at herself for not trusting her instincts.

"Got it." Deku settled into her arms, trying not to enjoy it too much. "Just be careful okay?!"

Kuri flew up. "I'm gonna put you in the center. Kacchan is coming your way, so— AAH!" Kuri was knocked out of the sky by all the explosions.

"Kuri!!!!!!" Deku screamed.

Bakugo quickly caught them. "Dammit. What the hell?!"

Kuri blinks at him. "Why'd you…ouch! Shit my wing…"

Bakugo was shocked and appalled at himself. "Did I…." A look of fear skittered across his face.

"Kacchan you hurt her!!" Deku cried.

Kuri shook her head firmly. "No. It wasn't him! It wasn't you katsuki!" Kuri used his first name to get his attention. "It was a villain. And even if it WAS your quirk, I flew into it…so…don't look like that."

Bakugo hesitated. "Are you…sure?"

Deku looked at them in disbelief. "But that…"

Kuri stood up and folded her wings behind her back with some difficulty. "Yeah. Both of you calm the fuck down. Katsuki Bakugo you did NOT hurt me. Got it?" She said it firmly, wishing she had her sisters quirk and could enchant them to believe her. Suddenly a new rune blazed on her forearm. "Um. Ok." She whispered. "Wi-do." She placed both hands on Bakugo's shoulders. "Trust me."

Bakugo relaxed a bit and nodded. "Let's deal with these fuckers!"

Kuri nodded and they headed to the entrance, glancing toward the center plaza, sucking in a breath.

Kuri skidded to a stop- "nnh.. Kat, Zu… I'm gonna try to get the other students out of here." Kuri tried to fly.

Reiko entered the clearing and saw Aizawa, hurt. "Sensei!" She cried, rushing forward; but she was suddenly stopped by a rush of feathers.

"Don't!" Kuri cried, and then with a scream of pain, she collapsed.

Her sister ran forward to help.

Bakugo and Deku rushed in front of her protectively.

Tomura smirked. "Your the Tenshi's bitch aren't you? We know all about you. The role you play is almost as nauseating as the Symbol of Peace. Good job knocking her out of the game, boy." Tomura looked directly at Bakugo, causing him to shudder.

"Stop it!" Kuri screamed. "If your mad at me then attack me!"

Tomura scratched his neck. "Is there even a point?" HE said, bored. "He's already finished you off for me…"

"He wants to kill All Might. I heard him say so." Reiko whispered to Deku.

Bakugo attacked Tomura. "I didn't do shit you crusty bastard!"

Kuri's eyes widened, sensing the danger from Tomura. "Stop!" With shaking hands she yanked him back before Tomura could disentigrate him."

"Aw." Tomura said with the attitude of a kindergartner who just lost his favorite toy. "You aren't even demoralized? Boring. It was you who saved him with sweet lies, wasn't it, Miko. Your going to be a tenshi one day aren't you? Sealing and destroying—"

Kuri snarled, a feather binding his mouth. "Enough. It's over." Kuri shook, as All Might showed up.

After the fight, Bakugo whirled on Kuri. "Why did you stop me?!"

Kuri looked up at him sadly. "I don't want you to get disentigrated. I'd be sad."

Deku looked at Kuri, shocked, wondering what it was her quirk could destroy.

"I…" Bakugo huffed. "You should be more worried about you! You're the one injured!"

Kuri looked up at him and nodded "Yeah…I'm fine. That doesn't matter. It's a good thing All Might showed up. Or that guy would be dead. Cuz no one talks to my friends that way." Kuri caught her feather as it flew off him all bloodied, and she got up and headed to the nurse, mind whirling with pain and anguish.

Deku ran after her, leaving a pissed Bakugo in his wake.

"Kuri!"

Kuri stopped, facing away, tears falling. "Go away, deku. Your here to tell me you hate me so go away. You don't have to say it. I know."

"Why would I hate you?" Deku asked, confused.

"Cuz. I can destroy quirks." Kuri confessed. "And you weren't born with one."

Kuri whirled and returned to the nurse's office. What was she crying for? She knew this was coming.

After all, All Might was quirkless, and his rejection of her quirk had created this conflict to begin with! Angrily, she wiped her tears and went back inside.

"Bakugo! You blew her up!" Todoroki yelled at him.

Ah hell. Kuri rushed in.

"Hah?" Bakugo said. "What the hell are you talking about IcyHot?"

"You blew up Kuri!" Todoroki repeated.

"No…that's not what happened!" Bakugo said defensively.

Todoroki laughed humorlessly. "Is that what she told you? It was the middle of the battle. She had to get you focused. You blew her up Bakugo. You broke her wing."

Kuri looked down as her quirk finally failed her and the trust rune faded away.

"She really fooled you…" Todoroki said bitterly.

"I didn't…I…" Bakugo shook, hands balled into fists, not looking up."

Deku came in, and Kuri forced herself not to look at him.

"Shoko. Deku. Out. Ma-nu. Banish" Kuri cried and they were forced out and the door slammed. "Cmere Bakugo." Kuri hugged him.

"I…why did you lie to me?!" Bakugo snarled at her.

Kuri hugged him. "Please don't ask me that. I can't answer you." Tears fell. "I'm sorry…"

"But I did fucking hurt you! It was my fault!!!" Bakugo cried, holding back tears himself.

"No you don't!!" Kuri whirled, facing him and his tears." Don't say that!!" Kuri lifted his chin, forcing eye contact. "Please stop. I'm sorry I flew into it. Besides. I'm all healed now. I was desperate to get zu to a safe place, and I was trying to ride the explosions so I could get there faster!"

"Shut up!! You shouldn't have been doing stupid shot like that to begin with!! Why would you do that?!" Bakugo shot back.

"I was being an idiot! I'm sorry I'm such a collosal dumbass." Kuri said, trying to turn the conversation so he didn't think about his pain anymore.

Bakugo glared at her. "And stop taking the blame."

"Then stop hurting. Please stop hurting. What can I do? Want me to hit you and make us even?" Kuri said desperately.

"Do something dammit…" Bakugo muttered.

"Hm. Ok." Kuri punched him, hard. "There. Hurts? Feel better?"

Kuri was honestly just hitting him because she wants to change the look on his face.

Bakugo stared at her, shocked.

Kuri started crying again. "I hate that look on your face, the pain. So please forgive yourself. I'll do anything, anything. Just stop looking at me like that, Kat!"

"Fine…" Bakugo looked away.

Kuri ran to him. "Kat, I can make the pain go away, if you want. My quirk—"

"No." Bakugo glared at her. "Stop trying to take on everyone's pain. Worry about yourself too."

"But I want to be a hero!"

Bakugo looked at her eager smile and felt a smile form on his own face. He patted her on the head. "Your a hero already, so quit tryin so damn hard or you'll self destruct like that damn nerd."

Kuri grinned. Your smiling! I saw! Smile again!" Kuri reached for him to tickle him.

Bakugo grabbed her hands, muttering, "Idiot," and making his escape.

"He's okay Kuri. I promise." Deku assured her.

"I cheered him up? The pain went away." Kuri rubbed her chest. "But something in him feels strange, confused…"

"What do you mean?" Deku asked, curious.

"Forget it." Kuri eyed Todoroki.
