Now before I start with this one, I wanna go ahead and admit I wasn't entirely sure where this story was gonna go from here. After a bit of planning and well-thought-out monologs, I've figured out what to do with this story. To address a review I received, I honestly forgot jolteons don't have normal tails. However, to save myself from wasting my time doing a fuck-load of editing, I'll leave the story like it is. Sorry for those hardcore Pokémon fans out there. I will implement the change from here on out in the story though. Now that I got that aside, please enjoy...

Chapter III - Leaves and Love!

Trey smiled in his sleep. He couldn't believe what he did last night. He actually had sex with Spark. The memories from that night could not leave his mind. He twitched about, never letting up his moving. Once again, he was stirred out of his dreaming.

"You must be having a good dream." Said a familiar voice.

Rose...

"Yeah, you could say that." Trey replied, his eyes still closed.

"Well, you probably should cover up the 'evidence' before Serenity shows up~" Rose teased.

And Trey knew exactly what she meant by evidence.

He quickly sat up straight. And made sure his paws were in front of his 'little buddy'. Rose giggled at him. She kinda liked teasing him.

"I hope you like the room we made for you. Sorry you had to sleep on the floor." Rose apologized, bowing her head.

"Don't worry about it." Trey rolled his neck around then stretched his legs. "I'll go find some leaves and stuff."

"I'll come with you." Rose said. She wasn't asking him. She was telling him.

The two made their way into the main chamber, where Misty and Blaze were.

"Where is everyone else?" Rose asked the two sisters. Both of them looked up.

"I-I think Spark and Serenity are still asleep." Misty answered.

"Winter is at the river looking after Aqua. She's taking a 'morning swim' again..." Blaze added, rolling her eyes at Aqua's decision to take a "morning swim" so goddamn early. "Anyways, what are you two up to?"

"Me and Trey are gonna go find materials to help build his bed. We may take a while." Rose replied.

"Yeah." Trey said.

Misty looked like she was nervous to say something. "...May I come too?" She asked, a blush appearing on her face.

Blaze was quick to catch on. "Why were you so nervous to say that. Unless you like him~" She teased at her sister. Misty blushed harder at what she said.

Now it was Trey's turn to blush. Rose simply smiled at the scene in front of her.

"I don't like him!" Misty spat out, her face turning a darker shade of red.

"I can't quite tell with that look on your face!" Blaze laughed.

Misty teared up at her comment. She really does like him, but it was becoming way too obvious. Luckily, Rose ended the feud before it escalated.

"Okay Blaze, stop teasing her."

"Fine." Was the reply she got.

Trey was surprised at her obedient the sisters were to Rose. He's not sure how she does it, but she assumes some sort of role of authority.

"Why do they listen to you so well?" Trey asked, leaning in her ear.

"Sorry, can't reveal that." She whispered back.

Though he wanted to know why, he can understand if she didn't want to tell him.

"I may explain it to you later on~" Rose's voice rang through his head, followed by a cute laugh from her.

"Anyways, yes Misty. You may come with us." Rose spoke out loud.

"Thank you! Thank you so much, big sister!" Misty was thrilled. Trey couldn't figure out why.

"She never leaves the cave much. I'm worried for her safety since she doesn't fight like we do." Rose answered in his head.

"Makes sense." He responded back in her head.

"I'll come too. But only 'cause I'm bored." Blaze said. She's never one to be bored. Sitting around isn't her style.

"Great. The more the merrier." Rose gleefully said.

Now a team with an objective, they ventured outside. The sun's morning rays tapped their foreheads, reminding them of the impending heat if they don't get a move-on. Blaze didn't mind the heat though, being a fire type and all that...

"Okay, we're gonna split up from here. Trey, you and Misty will go look for materials. Me and Blaze will go look for Winter and Aqua. We'll catch up with once we find them." Rose explained.

Everyone nodded their heads. No complaints from anyone either.

"So.. how did you end up an umbreon?" Misty asked Trey with curiosity.

"I saved my old owner from a vicious dog attack." Trey answered.

"Oh dear! What happened?" Misty asked, shock in her voice.

Trey gave it some thought, trying to memorize the event. "We were walking through a strip mall. I was an eevee at the time. While we were eating ice cream a wild dog was running around chasing people. I have no idea where the dog came from. Anyways, after chasing several people, the dog ran towards me and my trainer. Before it bit her I used a headbutt to defeat it. That's how I evolved."

"If you used to have a trainer, what happened to her?" Misty then asked.

As much as he didn't want to talk about it, he didn't mind answering her questions. "Well, me and trainer, who's name was Bella, were having a picnic out in a valley just a few days ago. We got attacked by a wild charizard..." Trey's voice got more darker and lower. "Bella knew I wasn't able to defeat it, and told me to run for it. She distracted the charizard... and it killed her."

"Oh my god!" Misty whisper-yelled. "I'm so sorry!"

"Don't worry about it." Despite his mood, Trey reassured her with a smile. "I kept moving 'til I got caught in a blizzard. Then I was attacked by a ninetails, and that's how your sisters found me."

"So that's how you ended up here." Misty connected the dots. "You've had the tragic story Trey." Now all she could do was feel sorry for him. She never could've imagined losing one of her sisters like that.

"Yeah, things went south. But Bella always told me that I would have a great family, one that she could never give me..." He turned away from Misty, a single tear falling from his eye. "But I see now what she meant." He looked back at Misty with a smile once again.

Misty tilted her head in confusion, her large, innocent eyes searching his face for an answer. Trey thought it was the most cutest thing he ever seen.

"You guys are what she meant. You've been nothing but kind to me. I don't know how I could ever thank you."

"It's really no problem Trey. I'm glad you decided to stay with us." Her sweet voice sounded like music to his ears.

Things always seem to interrupt Trey's moments, as another pokémon showed its face.

A random human followed behind it. "Looks like we got an umbreon and leafeon!" Must be the trainer.

The pokémon was a scyther. Trey dealt with one during his eevee days. The result back then wasn't what he wanted, but now is his chance to fix that. Misty, on the other hand, was paralyzed with fear. As much as she wanted to run away or yell for help, she couldn't bring herself to do anything.

The scyther stood there menacingly, awaiting its trainer's directions.

"Looks like we're gonna have to fight this guy." Trey said to Misty, who was still frozen.

"T-T-Trey...!" Was the only thing Misty was capable of saying. Her tongue felt dry. Her face was pale. And even though she had an ally to help her, it was painstakingly obvious...

She's never been in a fight before.

"Okay! Scyther, use Slash!" The trainer yelled.

That's when the scyther sprung into action, its large claws enough to split the two eeveelutions in half. Luckily for Trey, the scyther was headed for him with this attack, which he easily dodged. Trey's attack was a Shadow Ball that did moderate damage to the scyther.

Maybe this won't be so easy...

Oh how he wishes Blaze and Rose were here! Why did he even agree to split up with them? He'd have to think about it later since he heard the trainer's voice again. "Shake it off Scyther! Let's try again! Use Cut on the other one!"

The other one...? The other one...!

The scyther was headed straight for Misty, who still didn't have the urge to move. It was like she simply stood there and accepted her imminent doom.

"Misty watch out!" Trey's voice finally bringing her back to reality as the green pokémon unleashed its claws. "Run! Now!"

The leafeon's eyes widened with shock and fear. This was it. She was actually going to die. "Ahhhhh!"

That's when she felt a sudden force shove her out of harm's way, followed by a loud grunt. Though the push felt a bit rough, it was nothing compared to what would have happened if those scary claws made contact with her. She landed on her side a few feet away with a rather large mass on top of her. Her mind was spinning so fast that she simply had no idea who could've been laying on her.

That is, until she heard a voice...

"Y-You alright Misty?" That was Trey's voice, no doubt. But, something was off though. It sounded a bit shaky, and did he... stutter? It didn't sound like him at all. Was he in pain? "That was a c-close one..."

He rolled off of her, and that's when she noticed it. A large scratch mark along his side! That's also the moment her mind finally put the pieces together. He had saved her. The scyther would have scratched her, but he took the hit for her instead! As thankful as she wanted to feel, the feeling of guilt was more overpowering. Simply looking at the wound caused tears to appear in her eyes. "Oh my God...! I'm so sorry...!"

"D-Don't worry about it..." He replied, somehow able to smile after the blow he just took. He couldn't help but sigh internally. He suffered an injury two days ago, then there's this. Sure this attack wasn't as bad as the ninetails scratch, but it still was mildly painful.

Damn it...

No more time to cry or reminisce; the scyther was ready to attack again. That was confirmed when the trainer's voice tore through the silence. "Nice job Scyther! Now use Air Slash!"

The scyther rose a few feet in the air above the pair. There's nothing good coming from this. Trey readied himself for the next attack, silently thinking of his own plan. The scyther swung its mighty claws in the air, and the wind from the strikes spun until it created two shurikens. The shurikens propelled themselves toward the two eeveelutions.

If it wasn't for Trey using his Iron Tail attack to destroy them both, there's no telling what kind of damage they would have done.

"Man, this umbreon is strong!" The trainer remarked. The scyther was the only pokémon he had, and it seemed as if he may lose this battle. He pulled a poké ball of his pocket. If he couldn't defeat them, then he would catch them. "He'll make a nice fit in my collection." While Trey was busy with the scyther, the tossed poké ball hit him on his forehead. His body flashed a red light as he was sucked into it!

Misty watched in horror. Why wasn't she doing anything? She hadn't moved at all since Trey saved her.

The good thing was she didn't have to. The poké ball wiggled a bit before Trey reappeared, free from the object.

"Phew... that was ALSO a close one." Trey remarked. He finished off the scyther with another Iron Tail, striking it directly in the face. It landed in front of its trainer with swirly eyes.

The trainer recalled his pokémon back before retreating. That was the end of that.

"They're running away... finally." Trey sighed in relief. He didn't know how much longer he could keep it up before collapsing from exhaustion.

"Uh oh, looks like we're too late...!" Came Rose's voice from nearby. She was being followed by Blaze, Winter, and Aqua. "What happened?"

"We got attacked by a trainer and his pokémon." Trey answered. He showed the group his new injury, and that was enough proof of his story.

"I'll get that for you." Rose stated as her gem glowed a bright red color. The injury did the same seconds later.

"Misty, are you okay?" Came Blaze's voice to Misty's ears. She was so stunned by the event that just occurred that she couldn't think straight.

"I... I'm fine..."

She had no injuries. Thank goodness.

"Some mess you guys got caught up in." Winter added. "Seems like you guys handled it well."

"It was a piece of cake!" Trey said back. His small size meant his damage tolerance was very low. He still could've taken a few more hits before he gave up though.

"Let's get you guys back home!" Aqua was never one to stand around.

Rose just finished healing Trey's wound (again), so now they were ready to start heading home.

The pokémon battle distracted him from his main objective: to get materials for his bed. The other four sisters took care of that for him, and even offered to make it for him (though he repeatedly told them that he could do it...).

I can't believe he actually saved me...

And to think, I did nothing to help him...

What kind of friend am I!?

These were the thoughts floating around in Misty's head. That battle earlier kept playing over and over in her head. She couldn't even eat the berries that were just sitting in front of her. In fact, she simply lost her appetite. It was like she was traumatized. She was never the violent type. She's never been in a battle before. And she's never expected someone to save her like that. Maybe that's why her sisters never wanted her to leave the cave. Now she was beginning to think that this was all her fault. Had she moved out of the way or even fought back, Trey would've never got injured. As scared as she was, she now wished she would've taken the hit instead of him. All of these thoughts rushing in her head were giving her a headache. Poor Misty! She was beginning to feel light-headed and nauseous. She decided she had to tell someone about this. Her head felt like it would explode. Her heart rate was through the roof. Sweat ran down her face. She was on the verge of passing out in her chamber, with no one around...

She knew who to talk to...

I decided to end the chapter on a bit of a cliffhanger. Notice that there was no lemon scene here. Not every chapter will have one. There will be several though. Just wanted to clear that up. The next chapter will probably be 'Leaves Lust' or something like that, but we'll see. Anyways, peace out!
