Izuku is on the ground facing Katuki, a stronger Katsuki with the ability to create explosions from his entire body, not just his palms. This is where the timeline truly differs from the original timeline. As Izuku plans to capture Katsuki, black tendrils come out of his body as violently as they appear. Izuku finds out this is a start of something new... A start for the Six In One

Before the story starts some parts of the show will just be summarized because it will go similar to what happened in canon so I felt no need to rewrite a scene that wasn't even changed

The news about the USJ attack broke out and UA was met with harsh criticism due to the fact many of their students were injured fighting for their lives

A small, elderly man finds a letter in his mailbox. It's from Toshinori, his old student. He enters his home and carefully open the message

"Greetings. The air is warm here. It feels like summer is just around the corner. I hope this letter finds you well, sir. In good health and even better spirits. This semester, I took a position as a teacher at UA High School. Heh." Toshinori gave him the recent news

"This outta be good." The old man sips some coffee

"I'll cut right to the chase. I took the job just so I can find a hero-in-training with outstanding test scores and a powerful Quirk. However, before I ever began my tenure at UA, I met a young man. Even though he was weak, and had no Quirk of his own, he showed incredible bravery. He rushed into a dangerous situation that caused pro heroes, including myself, to hesitate, and managed to save the life of a classmate." Toshinori told him about his pupil's bravery

"Predictable." The old man scoff. He should've expected him to choose someone as reckless as him

"He may not have had a plan when he acted, but he knew he had to do something. I feel like watching this young man spring into action taught me something that day, and reminded me of the virtues I must embody to call myself a pro. A hero. That's why... I meant it when I said to him: "Young man. You, too, can become a hero." Toshinori remembers that event as if it was yesterday

"Soon after that. I told this pupil the secret of my Quirk and proposed that I transfer it to him. This ability I have has been passed on from person to person, cultivated, and made stronger. The crystallization of power binds itself to a courageous heart for the good of those in need. One for all. He accepted without hesitation, and I began training him for the trials he'd need to overcome to be accepted into the hero course at UA High School. Even though he sometimes struggled with his newfound abilities, he learned to harness One for all now without backlash. I don't like to toot my own horn but I believe I found the perfect person to pass my Quirk on to. He has shown me time and again that he has what it takes to be a real hero as I'm still quite new to the role of instructor."

The old man was impressed by Toshinori's pupil fast progression and Toshinori's acceptance of the role of a mentor

"However, I knew this day may come when I need your help, my old teacher. As I said before, my pupil is capable of harnessing a small amount of One for all, surprisingly though, a new power within One for all had awakened." And the old man was then unimpressed by Toshinori's sheer incompetence in handling his own problems and need him to fix it

"I don't know what am supposed to do. With my job as the Symbol of Peace and now a UA teacher, I don't have the time to train the boy for preparation for the UA sports festival coming soon. So I have been wondering if you could help me in this endeavor to train the boy? To help him go to the top and yell out loud and proud that he is here!" Toshinori wanted his boy to succeed, to reach the top

The old man sighs but was immediately followed up with a chuckle with a single tear in his eyes "Oh All Might. Always knew you to be on your knees, begging for my help." The old man laughs. After all these years, Toshinori still needs his help

The next day. Late at night and the heroes are having a meeting discussing their next course of action if the villains were to arrive again

"Our investigators are trying to learn everything they can about this so-called "League of Villains." We've made some progress, but we can't find anything on this Shigaraki so far. We've searched our records for men in their 20s or 30s who are registered as having some sort of disintegration Quirk, but so far, we've come up empty. Same for the Warp Gate villain, Kurogiri. So they're not citizens or they're using aliases. Hard to find, either way." Tsukuachi lowered his head in disappointment in their lack of information

Vlad King spoke up "So what you're saying is we don't know anything." The vampire was frustrated with the lack of info of the offenders

But of course, the other heroes were equally frustrated

"We've gotta track 'em down. All Might broke their ringleader's back but once he heals up he'll probably try pullin' something like this again. What a pain" Snipe sighs

"He did seem like the type." Toshinori pointed out

"Is something on your mind. All Might?" Nezu was concerned about what was going on in Toshinori's brain

"The attack on the USJ was too bold. No sane adult would ever attempt it. The mist villains said something about that thing call "Nomu" and said something about multiple quirks, but never said a word about his ringleader own powers." Toshinori continues.

"I did hear that too." Shota confirmed

What the heroes didn't see was Toshinori's hands shaking beneath the table. First, Izuku suddenly unlocked a second Quirk that he had never seen before and now, that creature is rumored to have multiple Quirk. Toshinori's brain was thinking of the worst possible theory

"When things didn't go his way, the ringleader was visibly upset. Like he was gonna throw a tantrum. He refuse to give up even when he lost everything. It seemed like he'd never been told "no" before— like he thought things would go his way no matter what. He has the personality of a spoiled little brat. A man-child." Toshinori insulted

"It's obvious he never got the Quirk counseling students receive in elementary school." Shota said "A man-child who believes himself to be better than others for simply having an above-average Quirk." Shota couldn't help but compare Bakugo with Shigaraki. He hopes he can steer his student away from that fate

"Maybe so, but it doesn't matter now." Snipe response to Toshinori

Tsukuachi spoke up "There were 72 villains arrested in the aftermath of the USJ attack. They were all small-time thugs who usually lurked around back alleys. What worries me is that this "man-child" got them to follow his crazy plan. They viewed him as a real leader. Criminals are starting to feel more pressure now that the world is brimming with heroes. That could be why they were so quick to back such simple-minded villainy." It wasn't hard to figure out the motives for villains. It was pretty much the motivation of every villain nowadays

"Guess that makes sense." Vlad King agree with Tsukuachi's theory

"There are plenty a' people out there lookin' for a cause to get behind." Snipe knows how desperate villains are getting to cause some mayhem

"So, what can we do to stop them?" Midnight questions

"Well, it is thanks to you heroes that we have the time time to devote ourselves to this case. We'll expand our investigation and continue searching for the perpetrators who planned this attack." Tsukuachi promise the heroes that the police will search every inch on the USJ for any more clues

"A man-child huh?" Nezu's mind was wandering somewhere

Toshinori turn his head to Nezu in wonder

"In some ways, he shares common ground with our students. They both have so much potential. And, like our students I suppose someone may be guiding him, trying to nurture his malice and villainy." Nezu suggest a scary possibility

Toshinori sighs "I don't wanna think about what that could mean." It sends chills down Toshinori's spine

Izuku was sitting on his chair. His back turn from his computer that was playing his favorite All Might video since he was little. The broccoli was reaching his arm out with his eyes close, he was focusing on something

"I'm still so far away from becoming a real hero. During the USJ attack, I couldn't even scratch that one monster." Izuku had a flashback to how the Nomu just turned his head back towards him, he was completely unfazed by the attack "To truly oppose evil. I have to make All Might's power my own. I have to embody One for all and master every aspect of it until it's second nature for me."

The memories of All Might's injury haunted Izuku "Because... there isn't much time left. And because I'm the one he chose. I'll have to make him proud!" A black wisp slowly form from the hand but it disappears when it was disrupted by the door opening

"Izuku?" Inko come in to check on Izuku

He pouts. He was sad because he almost had it but kept his composure "Yeah?"

"Lunchtime. Your food's getting cold." Inko said

"I'll be right there. Thanks, Mom."

The day after the USJ, the students were talking about the USJ and how they became small-time celebrities

Shota announced the Sports Festival and the students get excited to be scouted by Pro-Heroes

Later in the hallway, Ochako explained why she wants to be a Pro-Hero, she wants to help her parents live an easy life. Both Iida and Izuku were touched by this

All Might gave out a loud laugh "Young Midoriya is here!" All Might races to the trio

"Whoa, All Might! What are you doing here?" Izuku questions

"Lunch! Ya wanna eat with me?" All Might pulled out a cute, small lunchbox

"That's adorable!" Ochako spit out

"Whaddaya say?" All Might asked

Izuku looks back at Iida wondering if it's ok for him to leave them and Iida nods, allowing him to go

"Sure thing!" Izuku walks to All Might "Is something wrong?" He wonders

Later in the school's cafeteria

"I wonder what he wanted with Deku?" Ochako questions

"I heard that when Bakugo was attacked by that huge villain during the USJ Incident. Midoriya tried to stop them himself. Perhaps that's what this is about." Iida suggested

"Oh, yeah!" Ochako remembers seeing that in the USJ

"Also, remember what Asui said on the bus?" Iida bought up

Both Iida and Ochako remembered what Tsuyu said: "Well the way you use your quirk is similar to All Might."

"Since their Quirks are so similar to each other it's possible that All Might's taken a liking to him. How lucky!" Iida was very proud of his friend

As Iida was telling Ochako this, Shoto overheard the whole conversation

"All Might and Izuku Midoriya, uh?" Shoto wonders what kind of relationship those two have

Toshinori pours some tea for Izuku "I brought you here to talk about the festival and about that new quirk, by the way, how's that going?" All Might asked

Izuku smiles "Great actually. Here let me show you." Izuku stand up from his seat

Toshinori got a little tense when Izuku shows it off, however, Izuku can only create a small wisp for a second

"All right!" Izuku gleefully yelled

Toshinori stares blankly, not impressed by it. But hey it's progress

"Just a tiny wisp comes out now, but it's the first step to controlling it." Despite the lack of pizzazz, Izuku was still happy with the outcome

"That's the problem there," Toshinori points "you can barely use that new power of yours. With learning how to use the full power of One for all and Blackwhip, it'll be difficult for you to reach your fullest potential. But I have a plan." Toshinori gave Izuku a thumbs up. Reassuring him that everything will work out in the end

"Uh?" Izuku was wide-eyed, curious about what the plan is

"You see..." Toshinori began telling Izuku

Flashback

"That pretty much all there is." Toshinori said laying down his tea

"Most problematic indeed. Another quirk spawn and Midoriya still haven't mastered the base power." Nezu touch his chin, lost in his thought

"Yeah and I still don't know what to do..." Toshinori puts his head down frustrated and disappointed

"You can always call your old master." Nezu suddenly suggests

"What! Why would I do that!" Toshinori jump up from his seat puking blood

"No offense All Might, you may be the greatest hero but It's obvious you're not the greatest teacher. I think it best to let your master train Izuku, after all, he work with and train two previous users before him." Nezu reference him and his old predecessor's relationship with his old teacher

"Ok..." Toshinori was disgruntled, however still agree with Nezu. Although calling his old teacher was the last thing he wanted to do, it was the best thing to do for his student

End of flashback

"You see I plan to send you to my old master's place for the break. His hero's name is Gran Torino." Toshinori's voice dropped as he said the last two words. He originally want to text him but was too fearful of what he would've texted so he thought sending him a letter would be better

"Old...Master..." Izuku didn't realize that the symbol of peace had someone to train him in his younger day

"He was a teacher at U.A. for only a year. He was my homeroom teacher. He knows about One for all, too. That's why am sending you there." Toshinori explains

"Someone that amazing is...?! Wait, there was someone else who knew about the Quirk?" Izuku was surprised at how the biggest secret in the world isn't that secretive

"Gran Torino was the sworn friend of my predecessor. He retired a long time ago, so I forgot to count him..." Toshinori's legs start to tremble "Oh god what if he criticized my teaching skills. Oh god, he going to give me one hell of a beating." Toshinori was terrified of what would be Gran Torino's reaction if he saw how Izuku turn out to be

"All Might's seriously shaking!" Izuku can only wonder on what kind of harsh training Gran Torino put Toshinori through

"Anyway I must help you succeed so if you want, you can head to Gran Torino's place." Toshinori hands Izuku a paper telling him the address of Gran Torino's place

"Well if this going to help me... then I'll do it!" Izuku was determined to face any obstacles ghat Gran Torino will put him through

Toshinori smile "That's good. To be frank I don't have much time left as the world's Symbol of Peace. Soon, I'll have to put that title to bed." He was grateful he chose a great successor

"No way." Izuku said, acting like he didn't know that wasn't one of the reasons Toshinori chose him to inherit One for all

"And some villains out there are startin' to notice that. Someone has to step up and keep the people safe. I gave you my power for one reason:" Toshinori halted for dramatic effect

Izuku sat there in anticipation

"Cause you will be the hero who takes my place. Do you still feel the same way when we met? Do you still wanna be a hero?" Toshinori wanted to hear a yes

"Yes." Izuku said in a serious tone. Letting Toshinori know he didn't sway from his goals and beliefs

"Excellent. The time has come for you to prove it. This sports festival: It's something that the pros-no, the entire country will be watching very closely." Toshinori said this because he wanted Izuku to understand the seriousness of the sports festival

"Uh..." Izuku was very nervous

"I want you to think of this sports festival as your debut. You are the fledging Symbol of Peace. The next All Might! Izuku Midoriya. I want you to introduce yourself to the world and proudly say "I am here!." Toshinori yelled with such conviction

Izuku gasps "But, All Might that's your catchphrase! Besides what can I do?" Izuku doubt himself

"You know how the sports festival is set up, right?" Toshinori asked

"Oh yeah. Of course!" Izuku began to go into extreme details "Students are separated by class year, and then support, business, general studies, and hero courses all fight against each other in a bunch of preliminary trials. Whoever makes it through the initial games faces off in the finals. It's a big round-robin tournament." Izuku finishes

"Right!" Toshinori claps his hands together "Meaning, you'll have plenty of opportunities to sell yourself."

"I guess." Izuku still wasn't sure

Toshinori tip over with the couch

"I'm sorry! I mean, what you're saying is correct, All Might!" Izuku apologize

"But honestly, it's kind of hard to get excited about this after everything that just happened at the USJ. Plus, I've already got the world's greatest hero and soon his master training me, so the festival probably isn't my only hope of getting scouted by an agency." Izuku continues

"And besides, I don't know that I can stand out right now considering I did so horribly on the fitness tests and can't control the full power of One for all." Izuku kept muttering and muttering, annoying Toshinori

"Man, nobody is better at spoutin' word vomit than you, kid." Toshinori joked

"Oh, hey, are you ok?" Izuku checked on the Toshinori that was still laying on the tip over the couch

"Some heroes always aim for the top, while others happily settle. The difference between those two mindsets has a big impact on how far you go in the real world." Toshinori explains why Izuku's narrow-minded brain is stupid

"I understand how you feel. And I may be projecting a bit of myself onto you. However. I hope you haven't forgotten any emotions you felt back at the beach during our training." Toshinori wanted his pupil to take this seriously

Izuku put his head down "Just 2 weeks..." Izuku mumbled to himself

The next day

Izuku was taking the train to Gran Tornio's place and knocked. He stare at the piece of paper of his address and started to wonder things about him "Wow. A hero even All Might is afraid of." To say he was nervous was an understatement

"Gran Torino." Izuku walks through the street, repeating his name "I've never heard of this guy before. But he must be incredible! Yup. Probably super amazing."

Izuku finally made it to his home "Well, this is the right address, but.." Izuku knock on the door

"Hello, I'm here. All Might sent me. It's Izuku Midoriya. I'm looking forward to-" Izuku pause to see the Gran Torino laying face first on the floor with a red substance gushing out

Izuku screams "Holy whoa, he's dead!"

Gran Torino picks his head up "I'm alive!"

Izuku continues to scream "He's alive!" But quickly sigh in relief

"Whoopsy. I was carrying a nice big plate of sausages covered in ketchup when I accidentally tripped and fell. Clumsy me." The fragile old man said

"Okay, that's a little weird." Izuku expected more than whatever this is

"Now, who did you say you were?" Gran Torino asked

"I'm Izuku Midoriya. All Might send me!" Izuku stand up with a straight back to seem more respectful

"You're who, now?" Gran Torino didn't hear it

"I'm Izuku Midoriya!" Izuku yelled more clearly

"So, what's your name, boy?" Gran Torino asked again

"Oh, great." Izuku should've expected this "He was All Might's teacher, so I knew he had to be pretty old, but I didn't expect him to be bonkers."

Gran Torino sat down "I could use some food."

"Some food?!" Izuku yelled. He didn't have time for this

Gran Torino looks up at Izuku "Toshinori?" He mistakes him for Toshinori

"Midoriya!" He yelled

Gran Torino just stared at him

"Heh... Excuse me." Izuku pulled out his phone "I just need to make a phone call."

Izuku stepped outside "I should probably let All Might know the state this guy's in. He's not fit to mentor." Izuku hears his suitcase, which contains his UA gym uniform. Something Principal Nezu allowed him to take

He turns to see Gran Torino taking a look inside his suitcase and yelps "Hey, uh, wait, that's my stuff!"

"Why don't you fire off a One for all smash at me?" Gran Torino asked in a different manner

Izuku just stare on, wondering if the old man has completely lost it

"I wanna know how far you've come in terms of handling its power." Gran Torino wonder if Toshinori was a failure or not

"Is this even the same guy as before?" Izuku questions

"Am waiting." Gran Torino stands up

"But sir..." Izuku wasn't sure if that was a good idea

Gran Torino stares at Izuku "Hey, what are you doing here?" He changes his demeanor again

"What the heck is with this guy?" Izuku couldn't believe what he dealing with

Izuku decides to get straight to the point"I'm here because I need to win the Sports festival and I think you may help me. I promise All Might, I'll be the one to stand on the first pedestal and yelled 'I Am Here.' And am not breaking the promise." Izuku said in a serious tone

"I'm sorry. But I can't waste the two weeks messing around like this, sir. I hope you'll excuse me." Izuku bow and left

"As I thought." Gran Torino sighs at first, then used his quirk to bounce around the room. He stopped on the top of the door frame just below where Izuku was standing

"It's time for you to show me what you can do, ya newbie. He, he, he!" Gran Torino smiles "Nezu already told me everything. The way you use your powers is completely reckless!" Gran Torino reference the battle trial where Izuku wreck his body with One for all and destroyed the building using Blackwip

"He's not training you well, He may be the symbol of peace and the number one hero, but All Might's a total novice when it comes to teaching. I can only imagine what a blunder he is in the classroom." Gran Torino criticize Toshinori's awful teachings skills

"Now. Shall we get started, you bunch newbies?" Those were the words All Might said before the battle trial

"Hey, All Might called us newbies, too. And he has two sides sometimes playing dumb. This is his teacher" Izuku realizes he's dealing with a real pro

"I can't stand imagining you using your quirk that way, so I suppose I'll have to teach you. Now, hurry and get ready for a hell of a training." Gran Torino said

Izuku smiles "I'm ready. Teach me everything."

Later

Izuku put on his UA gym uniform "Am surprised they allow me to use this for training." Izuku wasn't sure they were allowed him to take school property "All right let's get started."

Gran Torino pulled out a stopwatch "We'll begin with three minutes." He starts the stopwatch

"Okay. For what?" Izuku asked a stupid question

"That's the amount of time you have to try to hit me with a smash." Gran Torino stretches his limbs

"Uh. You're sure this is a good idea? I don't think you would handle it. Since you are older than All Might and he around-" Izuku was interrupted

"Good grief, kid. A chatterbox, aren't ya?" Gran Torino grunts as he bounces off the walls and launches himself at Izuku "I'm losing patience!" He yelled

The Green Naruto saw this coming and activate 8% of One for all and tried to swipe him away, however, Gran Torino was aiming for his blind spot, his legs. Izuku fell on his back

"Okay, that hurt." Izuku grunts

Gran Torino lands on the microwave, breaking it "What? You didn't realize my true strength earlier?"

The Green Asta got up on his feet

"I can't believe you're the ninth holder of this great power. All Might hardly taught you anything. Guess all that fame doesn't translate into being a good mentor." Gran Torino mocked

Gran Torino started to bounce around the room again. Izuku decides the best course of action is copying Gran Torino's movements

How was he was moving so fast? Even though Izuku could barely keep up, Gran Torino always kept hitting his back, gut, and especially the legs

"He's too fast! How does his quirk work?" Izuku grunts as Gran Torino hits him again "Crap, he good." Izuku thought, as he got a kick in the legs and fell but immediately got back up by pushing himself right up

"Pathetic, if you can't even hold your own against an old man, how will you protect those who're in need?" Gran Torino almost got hit with a smash but dodges and follow it up with another kick in the leg

"Someone praised by the Symbol of Peace himself should be able to complete this challenge easily. No sweat." Gran Torino continues to mock Izuku

Izuku tried to get back up again but Gran Torino won't let him breathe and kick him back down

"He won't let me breathe for a second." Izuku grunts as he was kicked in the face "Even if I could barely keep up, he seems to know where my blindspot is." Izuku has tripped down again as he tried to stand up

"But I could use that to my advantage." Izuku spots the couch "I just need to get up." Izuku began to crawl and then launches forward under the couch "There!"

"Don't be stupid. I can still see you." Gran Torino underestimated Izuku's thinking skills "If you're trying to buy time. It won't work." Gran Torino bounces off the ceiling and went straight for Izuku

Izuku threw the couch at the old man "Now's my chance!" Izuku quickly got up and chase the pro hero around

"So you were just trying to keep me off you for a minute. Now that was a good idea." Gran Torino complimented

"Smash!" Izuku yelled and threw a lunch midair against Gran Torino

Gran Torino dodges it "Almost." Gran Torino went behind Izuku

"From behind!" Izuku saw what he was doing

"You didn't learn the first few times, did ya kid?" Gran Torino was aiming for Izuku's legs once again

Izuku twist and turn in midair "Smash!" And made the hit

Gran Torino was hit against the floor but quickly got up and hit Izuku's gut

Izuku was pushed back against the ceiling and plopped down on the floor

Gran Torino grabbed the stopwatch "Your time's up."

"I guess I still have a lot of work to do." Izuku pouts on the floor

"Nice work." Gran Torino complimented Izuku's strategy "You managed to attack me while I had my guard down thanks to your analysis." Gran Torino turns away "You must spend a lot of time thinking about strategy and how to fight."

"I guess I was wrong about you two being incompetent." Gran Torino touches his bruise "It's been a long time since I've had a real fight. This kid might turn out to be a real monster."

"Listen to me. The way you used One for all now shows you are adjusting to the quirk. You understand its fundamentals." Gran Torino points to Izuku "But your admiration for All Might and sense of loyalty to him are shackles on you." Gran Torino explains

"Shackles? But how?" Izuku questions

"It's true that you need to get stronger, and quickly. Time waits for no man. Real villains don't care if you've reached your full potential yet. And you think One for all is more special than it is." Gran Torino break down Izuku's flaws

"Then...What should I do?" Izuku wanted real answers, not vague ones

"You already know what to do." Gran Torino couldn't believe the brain the kid have "I'll go buy us some grub. Clean this place up while am gone." Gran Torino left

"Huh?" Izuku was confused "My admiration for All Might...is a shackle?" Izuku questions. If anything his admiration for All Might helped him get stronger

A little bit later

"My admiration for All Might is a shackle. I understand the fundamentals but there's discord in my mind. I believe One For All is more special than it is. I already know what to do?" Izuku was confused by the last part

"What does that mean? Okay, look at all this differently. What did I learn today?" Then it dawns on him "I know!" He pulled out his burnt notebook courtesy of Bakugo

"How I think about it, One for all. I learn to use One for all throughout my body. But what is the point of that if am just only going to use my arms? I should be more like Kacchan." Izuku gets a painful flashback to how Bakugo used his feet to blind and propelled himself behind Izuku during the Battle trial

"Kacchan understands that Quirks are just extensions of our bodies. So then he uses that to his advantage by letting his feet boost his capability. Why haven't I seen this before." He began to write in his notebook

While Izuku was rambling on. Gran Torino was behind the door listening to everything "Well, at least he's mentally adept and forward-thinking. For a kid. You found a good one, huh, Toshinori. Or should I say, All Might?" Gran Torino chuckles

The Next Day

"Good Morning. What's wrong? You look beat." Gran Torino pointed out

"Well..." Izuku had bags under his eyes "I was training on my new technique yesterday and went too far. I took everything you said to me and put it into practice, and I think am getting it, however, I still have a long way to go." Izuku said weakly

"It's your first time trying, so it's to be excepted. That is how training works." Gran Torino gave a thumbs up "Of course, I suppose All Might can't wrap his mind around that. He was pretty much able to use One for all right of the bat, so I taught him in a very different manner. Course he had the body going for him so there's that."

"Whoa, All Might as a student, huh? Come on, what was he like back then?" Izuku was interested to hear about a younger Toshinori

"Hm? Huh..." Gran Torino remembers "It was all combat training for him."

"No wonder All Might was so scared of this guy!" Izuku was shaking about how much hasher Gran Torino must have been in his prime

"The training was difficult, but I couldn't hold back on him. He was entrusted to me by a sworn friend who had just passed away." Gran Torino's face was full of sorrow

"Oh, All Might's predecessor? So, can you tell me about this guy's Quirk?" Izuku wanted to know what other Quirks he'll be gaining

"Huh?" Gran Torino gave a surprising look

The doorbell ranged and it was a package delivery

"I'll take care of that for you." Izuku raced to the door

"So, you haven't told him about the seventh holder yet, eh, Toshinori?" Gran Torino thought

Just a minute later

Izuku open the package to see a microwave "A microwave?"

"Yeah, for some reason, mine broke yesterday. So I bought a new one." Gran Torino was acting delusional again

"Is he serious or not?" Izuku remembers when Gran Torino destroyed his microwave yesterday

"So Whaddaya think, how about we eat some of that frozen food I bought! It'll be good!" Gran Torino gave a goofy smile

"But the only thing you bought was dessert." Izuku pointed out

"What can I say, I like the finer things in life." Gran Torino walk to the fridge

Later, after Gran Torino had cooked the frozen hot pastry

"Yum! Yum! Yum!" Gran Torino was patting his full belly "Oh, what a delicious meal. I feel so young and spry!" Gran Torino looks at Izuku's unfinished pastry "So, you gonna eat that?"

Izuku was handing the pastry to Gran Torino before swiping it away from

"Hey!" Gran Torino yelled "What do you think you're doing?"

"What am doing is challenging you." Izuku got off his sit and unleash 8% of One for all. He took a battle stance. He had a nervous smile, however, his eyes were filled with determination

"So, ready for round 2, eh?" Gran Torino had a devious smile. And eyes that said am going to enjoy this "Alright." Gran Torino stretches "Let's see that new technique of your, kid." With no time to waste, Gran Torino bounces across the room and aim straight for Izuku

Izuku predicted this and quickly turn to lift his left leg upwards "All Might's signature moves usually involve his fists. Since I inherited One for all from him. I tried to do the same thing. Copying his every technique. That's where I went wrong. It's so obvious that I didn't even realize it! I got this idea from Kacchan and Gran Torino. I call it One for all Full Cowling: Shoot Style!"

Gran Torino saw Izuku's motives and smiled "Look like you got it all figured out, boy. Although surprising that you figure this now, but it's Toshinori of course, shouldn't expect him to pick a bright one."

Gran Torino maneuver above Izuku's head and kick the back of it

Izuku grunts and spins around. He grabbed the back of his head in pain, however, still gave an unwavering smile

"You wanna minute to rethink this situation?" Gran Torino had a cocky tone in his voice

"I rather use that minute to beat you!" Izuku yelled with conviction "First, training with Shoot style, then training with Black Whip." Izuku ready his feet and rushed forwards

The 2 weeks were a breeze, and before I knew it, it was the day before the festival

"Thank you so much for the help, Gran Torino." Izuku bow in respect

"No sweat kid. Now it's around time for you to show the world why All Might picked you." Gran Torino slowly closes the door before adding one more thing "And if you lose, I'll give you one hell of a beating." Gran Torino laughs before closing the door

"Oh ok..." Izuku shivers. Izuku turn around and ran for his train "Thank you, Gran Torino. If it weren't for you I wouldn't have been able to learn my biggest flaw and learn how to use Blackwhip." Izuku smiles, with learning Blackwhip and Shoot style, surely he can breeze through the Sport Festival

The Morning of the Sports Festival

"Izuku, please be careful and don't get hurt." Inko begs her son to be safe

"I won't." He promises her that he'll be ok

"I'll record the whole festival in HD!" Inko said

Izuku chuckles at his mother's cuteness

"Do your best, son." Inko hugs her child

"Okay, I'm off!" Izuku races through the door and ran off for the UA sports festival

"This security line is huge. What's the deal?" The Reporter question

"A bunch of villains did just break in. Of course, the school's being stricter this year. Some people think they shouldn't be holding the festival, considering what happened." The cameraman answers her question

"Perfect! Nothing brings ratings up like a little controversy! Plus, everybody will tune in to see Class 1‐A!" The Reporter excitedly said, imagining how high the rating will be

"Aw, man. I was hoping I could wear my costume." Mina was disappointed by the rules

"At least everyone is in uniforms. That'll keep things fair, right?" Mashirao said

"I wonder what they have in store for us in the first round." Rikido was kinda nervous

"No matter what they've prepared, we must persevere." Fumikage was edgy enough to handle any horrors UA would throw at him

"Right." Mezi agreed

"Everyone, get your game faces on! We're entering the arena soon!" Iida yelled with his arms in a chopping motion

"Swallow your fear, swallow your fear, swallow your fear!" Minoru was making the kanji sign of people three times in his palm and pretend to eat it to control his anxiety

Shota approach Izuku "Midoriya." Shoto's eyes had a killing intend

"Hey, Todoroki. What's up?" Izuku said

This interaction got the whole class's attention

"From an objective standpoint, I think it's fairly clear that I'm stronger than you." He pointed at the inferior classmate

"Uh‐‐ Um, yeah." Izuku didn't want to get on his bad side

"However, you've got All Might in your corner, helping you out." When Shoto said All Might, Izuku panicked inside "I'm not here to pry about what's going on between you two. But know that I will beat you."

"What's with all these declarations of war lately?" Denki questions on how it was first school mates and now classmates declaring to beat them

"Yeah, what's the big deal? Why are you pickin' a fight all of a sudden? And right before we get started..." Eijiro wanted Shoto to chill. He grabbed his shoulder

Shoto pushes Eijiro's hand off him "We're not here to be each other's friends. Don't forget. This isn't a team effort." Shoto walk away

"Wait a sec, Todoroki." Izuku paused for a moment "I don't know what's going through your head or why you think you'd need to tell me that you'll beat me. And, yeah, of course, you're better than me. You probably have way more potential than anyone in the hero course. That's why you got in so easily." Izuku was started to doubt himself

"Midoriya, maybe you're being a little hard on yourself, and us." Eijiro wanted him to take it easy

"No, he's right, you guys. All the other courses‐‐ they're coming for us with everything they've got. We're all gonna have to fight to stand out. And I'll be aiming for the top, too." Izuku declared

"Fine." Shoto wanted this bug to walk away. But if he has to beat him down, so be it

"Tch." Katsuki was pissed that Shoto saw Izuku as the bigger threat and not him

President Mic announces the beginning of the first year Sports Festival. He introduces one class at the time

The crowd cheers for Class 1-A mostly due to the fact they fought villains

Katsuki gets chosen by Midnight to do the student pledge because he did scores first in the entrance test

He only made the other classes hate Class 1-A even more

Midnight chose "Obstacle Race" as their first choice

"All Might..."

"You must introduce yourself to the world, and proudly say 'I am here!'" Izuku remembers the words All Might told him before the Sports Festival

"I have to be smart about this. I can only use One for all at 10%, maybe 20% for a short burst, and Black Whip is pretty good. But still...I have to go beyond. I hope you're watching, All Might!" Izuku tighten his calfs ready to run

"Begin!" Midnight yelled, signaling the students to start racing

All the students started to run against each other

"And we're off to a racing start! How 'bout some color commentary, Shota?" Mic turn to his not-so Mummy Man friend

"How did you talk me into this?" Shota sounded depressed, and he was

"What should we be paying attention to in the early stages of the race?" Mic asked

"The doorway." Shota saw this problem every year

The students start to jam into one another unable to get through the door

"This is the first obstacle." Shoto uses his ice to freeze everyone in place and get through the crowd "Apologies."

"Ow! No fair!"

"So cold!"

Some of the other students complain about being stuck but Class 1-A saw this coming a mile away; Katsuki uses his explosions to move foward; Fumikage created wings with Shape Shadow; Rikidou ran forward with his enhanced speed; Iida ran with his engine; Yuga uses his Naval laser; Eijiro briefly fly with his manliness; Momo uses her quirk to propel herself forward

"Nice trick, Todoroki! I won't let you get away so easily!" Momo yelled

"You icy‐hot bastard!" Katsuki's explosions started to become more violent

As the Class races after Shoto, a green blur passes by their eye. It was Izuku

"Midoriya..." Shoto was disgruntled as he turn his back

"That fucking nerd level up didn't he. That doesn't matter I'll just crush him even more!" Katsuki yelled with almost his entire body starting to emit explosions

Shoto turns to the dozen of free students "I didn't expect so many people to dodge that." Shoto gasps when he looked up

It's was Minoru Mineta

Minoru grunts as he repeatedly pulls one ball after another and lays them on the floor for him to bounce on "You think you're so cool, but I've outsmarted you! Ha! How pathetic, Todoroki! Eat this! My special attack! Gra..." Minoru got punched by a robot

"That seems like it hurts." Izuku thought as he passes Minoru and slowly approaches Shoto

Both Izuku and Shoto stopped when they see what they were dealing with

"Targets acquired. Terminate them." A robotic, demonic voice yelled out to the students. It was the robots from the entrance exam

"It's those robots from the entrance exam!" Izuku repeated what I just said

"Ooh! Enemies have shown up out of nowhere! I bet we're in for a treat here! A test of strength and cunning! It's a Robo Inferno!" The loud banana yelled

"Are those the zero‐point villains from the practical test?" Denki was having some serious Vietnam flashback

"Seriously?" A student yelled

"This is what they meant by "obstacles?" Another student didn't believe that the hero course students had to fight those. He was kinda glad he chose general study now

"So this is what the other students faced in their entrance exams." Shoto now understand how UA find his pathetic classmates worthy of being in the school

"Where's the school even getting the funding for these things?" Momo swears that her parents probably paid UA a large sum

A zero-point longe at Shoto with its big metal arm read to crush him

"They went through a lot of trouble, but I wish they'd prepared something a little more difficult. Especially since my dear‐old dad is watching." Shoto uses his ice to freeze the ground. The ice spread and engulf the entire Zero Pointer with ease

"Yeah, he screwed." Gran Torino watches the sports festival from his home. There are almost zero chances Izuku can win with a kid like that freezing everything

"Hey, watch it!" Izuku jumps into the air avoiding the ice

Like an unstoppable comet, Katsuki blast Izuku in the face "Move!" He yelled before continuing the race

Shoto took a minute to breathe but saw Katsuki flying by

"Ha, ha, ha! It's over. Bastard! Your declaration of war was to the wrong person!" Katsuki gave Shoto the middle finger before refocusing on the race

Shoto snarls and then snarls even more as Izuku using Blackwhip now pushes past him

"He learned how to control that too, huh?" Shoto was getting more and more frustrated. He starts to chase the two rivals

"Dude, he stopped the robots!" A student was petrified by the competition

"Look! Between their legs! We can get through!" Another pointed out the opportunity

"Careful, now." Shoto warns "I froze them while they were off their balance."

The robot started to fall apart and completely fall on the ground

Shoto runs out of the crash area "On purpose." He sighs in relief that he can now just worry about Katsuki and Izuku

"It seems Bakugo is ahead of the race with Midoriya closing behind and Todoroki in third place. It is amazing how two students have quirks that allowed them to have more than one ability. They are the ones we should watch, It almost seems unfair! Thoughts?" Mic slams his hand on the desk and turns to Shota wanting him to be more involved in this

"Shoto's attack was both offensive and defensive." Shota analyzed Shoto's amazing strategic thinking skills

"No wonder he was let in on recommendations! He'd never even fought those Robo Infernos before, but they didn't stand a chance against his chart‐topping moves!" Mic yelled much to Shota's annoyance

Izuku looks behind him and sees Shoto gaining speed "He gaining in!" Izuku jumped in the air using 10% and use a Black whip to pull him forward

"Back off!" Katsuki yelled from a distance

Izuku gulps. He can't get near Katsuki for obvious reasons and he can't allow Shoto to get ahead of him and possibly freeze him in place

"Am baby is doing so well!" Inko cries tears of joy flooding the apartment. She is proud of her baby in second unaware of his situation

"Hey! There's someone trapped under that robot!" A student yelled out

"Do you think we should try and help 'em?" Another wasn't sure if they should continue the race or stop and help the person

"Are people seriously gonna die here?" Another didn't think this festival is worth it if people were going to die

A loud clanking and banging sound can be heard. The ice on top of the zero point robot started to crack and shatter.

Eijiro gasped for breath as he just claw his way out of a giant robot "I'm alive!" He yelled

"Kirishima from Class 1‐A! What a hardcore debut for this rookie!" Present Mic announced Ejirio's existence to the crowd

"Todoroki, I can't believe you pulled something like that. Jeez. Anyone but me woulda been killed!" Eijiro couldn't believe that Shoto would be so careless

"Kirishima Eijiro. Quirk: Hardening! This power makes his entire body hard as a rock! That means he can be the ultimate shield or a devastating weapon!" Present Mic explain Eijiro's quirk to the crowd

"Class 1‐A is full a' jerks!" Another figure seems to also claw his way out of the zero-point robot "I'll smash that ice guy when I get my hands on him." A metal man seems to be pissed

"Tetsutetsu from Class 1‐B was also stuck underneath! What are the odds?" Present Mic was awestruck

"Ya know, anyone other than me woulda been killed!" Metal Shark repeated the words of Red Shark

"Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu! Quirk: Metal! Tungsten, Steel, Copper, and Iron! If you can think of metal, he can turn into it. That means he can be the ultimate shield or a devastating weapon! Talk about a real Metalhead!" Present Mic made a joke, without realizing it Shota was in the background trying to stop himself from choking him

"Our Quirks are basically the same! How am I supposed to stand out now?" Ejirio complained while running up the destroyed robot

"You damn copycat!" Tetsutesu wanted to best this damn cookie cutter and show him who superior

Fumikage, Hanta, and the rest of the students make it past the robots

Shota explains the reason why Class 1-A is getting past the obstacles more easily than the others is that the villain attack made them not hesitate in certain situations

As the students make it past the 1st obstacle, Mic presents the second obstacle

"For those of you who thought the first obstacle was easy. Let's see how ya feel about the second one." Present Mic yelled with excitement on how the students will deal with this conundrum

"Uh..." Ochako got wheezy looking down

Mina and Tsuyu were also stunned

Everyone looks down seeing how it is an endless pit with large stone pillars connected by small tightropes

"If they take a spill, they're out! If they wanna pass this test, they'll have to get creative. It's "The Fall"!" Mic was excited despite the number of injuries this obstacle causes every year

"When did they even have time to build something like this?" Ochako questions because she doesn't know who Power Loader is

Tsuyu couches down beside the two pink heroes

"What are you doing?" Mina asked Tsuyu

"Ribbit!" Tsuyu leaps into the air and lands on the tightropes "Ribbit. This is my moment. Easy peasy." She was quickly getting ahead climbing on the ropes

"She's fast!" Mina commented

"Yes. Finally." Mei chuckles "This is my chance to show off what I can do. My support items are gonna steal the spotlight from these wannabe heroes." Mei was mumbling to herself "Everyone! Observe what my brilliant gadgets can do! Wire arrows and hover soles!" Mei got the attention of the students

"You're from Support!" Ochako pointed out

"Hey! How come you got to bring all that stuff?" Mina found that unfair

"Students in the hero course get all kinds of combat training for their Quirks. To keep things fair and give us a fighting chance, we're allowed to bring whatever gadgets and costumes we want into the games, so long as we developed them ourselves. So, sit back and enjoy the show." Mei uses her wire arrows to cling onto the rock pillars

"For those of us in the support course, this is the perfect obstacle to show off our ingenious ideas and creations to any companies out there who might wanna recruit us!" Mei laughs as her hover boots actives

"I hope employers are watching!" Mei jumps and retracts her wire arrows "My super‐cute babies are sure to make a splash." Mei uses her hover soles to move on top of the pillars

Mei chuckles as she propelled herself into the sky

"Wow!" Ochako was amazed

"Talk about annoying." Mina was getting a good vibe from her

"I won't lose!" Ochako gave a determined look

"Ugh, this is so unfair!" Mina ran forward

"Interesting." Hitoshi smiles "Heh."

"In the world of heroes, it can be hard to get popular without a flashy Quirk. Right, Eraser Head?" Mic turns to Shota

"I don't know what you're talking about, idiot." Shota got angry by that comment

Katsuki flew by the obstacle like it was nothing and made it to the end

"Katsuki went over the obstacle like it was nothing. Because to him, it was nothing." Mic went deadpan on that last part

Izuku uses Black whip to swing himself across and when he makes it past the obstacle he activates 10% full cowling and ran toward Katsuki

Shoto uses his ice to stiffen the rope and skate on it

"Looks like Midoriya swing by easily! And Todoroki is using his ice to skate on the tightropes closing it on Midoriya." Mic told the detail to the stadium

"Oh god. He cutting it close." Izuku notices Shoto getting dangerously close "Come on! Faster!" Izuku tried to draw out more power

Iida is watching at the distance, seeing Class 1-A's big three racing each other, however, Iida isn't letting discourage him "My older brother's probably watching this. I can't let him see me look foolish. I've got this!" Iida balance himself on the tightropes

"Boy, does he look foolish!" Mic made fun of Iida's silly balancing pose

Meanwhile, the audience is chatting with one another

"The dude in the third place is so good yet so far behind." A man complimented Shoto

"His Quirk is powerful, but it's intelligent and quick thinking that allowed him to avoid everyone and make it ahead." An audience analyzed Shoto's amazing planning skills

"So? Big deal. Don't you know who the guy behind him is? It's the son of The Flame Hero, Endeavor!" A fan said excitedly

"Wait, for real? That guy's second only to All Might himself."

"Everyone'll be fighting to have him as a sidekick for sure."

Izuku pants and then stop on his tracks to observe the area

"And now, we're finally approaching the last obstacle. Everyone had better tread carefully. You're stepping onto a minefield! If you look carefully, you can see where those little bombs are buried, so keep your eyes on the ground, folks. But I guess Katsuki shouldn't have that problem." Mic was disappointed that Katsuki just flew by. He wanted some more action. Oh well, maybe the other students will show some entertainment with their screams

"By the way, those land mines were designed for the games, so they might be loud and flashy, but, they're not all that powerful. Just enough to make you wet your pants!" Mic had experienced that when he was younger

"Get a hold of yourself." Shota wanted him to shut up

Some students activate the land mines causing them to be pushed back

"I gotta think quick. These land mines go off of you step on them. They're not that powerful but they can turn into a huge pain if you detonate a bunch of them. You can't just rush through. It's better to slow down and avoid them altogether. That way you won't risk injuring yourself with one. Even the people who are good at jumping can't be too careless. I can't get through this very quickly." Izuku tried his best to avoid the land mines "Uh?" Izuku looks behind him to see Shoto creating an ice path

"This ice path will end up helping others. But there's no time to worry about them." Shoto was full focus on Izuku and Katsuki

"Deku!" Katsuki yelled

Izuku flinch when he heard that voice

"Damn Deku! It's pathetic that you think you'll win this!" Katsuki snarls at the broccoli. Terrorist Vegeta turns around facing Crying Goku. With his exploding feet still pushing Katsuki foward

"I was saving this for the 1v1 battles, but this is a great time to use it." Katsuki smiles. He form his hand into a circle and place it on the palm on his other hand, his hands started to glow and shot out a million small explosive beams

"AP Shot: Auto-Cannon!" Katsuki aggressively called out

Izuku squeals as he tried to dodge the shots, but the land mines around started to explode and overwhelmed Izuku. Smoke engulfed the area. Leaving his fate unknown

"Oh no! Seem like Midoriya is out for the count!" Mic gasp when he saw Shoto speeding by where Izuku was "Todoroki had taken Midoriya's place and is going straight for Bakugo's."

Katsuki tried to pull the same moves on Shoto, however, Icy-hot can now easily predict his moves after observing Izuku's failure

Shoto was getting too close for comfort and so Katsuki retaliated with close-combat expulsions

"The media here is going crazy! There's nothing they love more than an upset!" Mic could swear the crowd was louder than he ever was

Mic notices Iida and some of the class 1-B students are catching up "Hey, hey, hey! The rest of the competitors are catching up, too!"

Shoto and Katsuki were racing/fighting was started to spice up

"Both Todoroki and Bakugo are now neck and neck for first place and- What this?!" Mic yelled in surprise

Katsuki and Shoto felt something on their waist. They looked down to see that it was Izuku's black whip.

"I got to do this for everyone!" Izuku remembers the promise he made for All Might, the training by Gran Torino, the smile of his mother. He won't fail now. Izuku retract the black tendrils causing him to push forward and pushing Katsuki and Shoto back

Both students were stunned by landing on the landmines

"Full Cowling 15%!" Izuku perform a long jump with full cowling to get even further

A gush of wind pressure ended up detonating nearby landmines that continue to stun Izuku's lovers

"In a stunning move, Midoriya has pushed past his classmates from 1‐A! I don't believe it‐‐he's almost there" Mic spins on his chair "Eraser Head, your students are amazing! What the heck are you teaching them?" Mic questions

"This has nothing to do with me. Each of them is powered by their drive to succeed." Even though they were his students, Shota knew it was their goals that guides them

Katsuki and Shoto pick themselves up and continue the race

"There ya have it, Eraser Head is a terrible teacher." Mic insulted

"I'm what?" Shota got angry at that comment

Izuku, Katsuki, and Shoto are all closing in on the finish line

"Who would have imagined at the beginning of this race that the climax would be a non‐stop mega‐mix of surprises? The first to make it back into the stadium is the first‐place winner!" Mic yelled

Izuku was just a few feet away from the finish line, he was almost there. That enrages Katsuki beyond belief

"Deku!" Katsuki's legs started to glow brightly

Shoto braced for impact as Katsuki rocketed towards Izuku with his new improvise move "Improvise Move: Lower-Half Explosion!" Faster than a speeding bullet or even a bullet train

"Holy Bomberman, Batman!" Mic tightly hugged Shota "It seems like Bakugo is about to snatch 1st place from Midoriya!" Mic and the crowd watch intensely as Katsuki was only a few feet away from Izuku and not slowing down

Izuku sprinted towards the finish with Katsuki's presence not far behind. Izuku jumped with his entire body going forward with his hand sticking out in the hope to make it past the finish line. Katsuki copies Izuku and also sticks his hand out. Both are only inches away from the finish line

"Who would have imagined at the beginning of this race that the climax would be a non‐stop mega‐mix of surprises? The first to make it back into the stadium is the first‐place winner!" Mic did an overly dramatic gasp "I can't believe it! This is the first time this has happened in a long while.

Izuku and Katsuki pass the finish line at the same time

"Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo are our champions" Mic yelled with excitement. Having two champions would make more entertainment for the crowd

The audience cheers for Izuku's and Katsuki's victory

"Hey, it's those kids." Death Arms pointed out

"Oh, yeah! They fought the sludge monster." Kamui Woods remembers that incident

Izuku pants "U‐Uh..." Izuku look around and see the audience cheering for him but then see All Might clapping for him and smiles

The same can't be said about Katsuki "I can't believe I tied with you." Katsuki mumbled

"H-hey it's-" Izuku flinch when Katsuki snarls at him and proceeds to walk away

"This sports festival is a competition where everyone aims for the top. Even though that means defeating your friends and classmates." Toshinori said as the rest of the students make it past the finish line

"And for professional heroes, popularity plays a huge part in their careers, so they have to want to be the best. It's a bloodthirsty world. At your core, you want to help others. That's why I chose you, Young Midoriya. But in all honesty, I also thought your selflessness could be your weakness." All Might clap his hands together "Turns out, I was worried over nothing! You are a fighter!"

"This is interesting." A familiar blonde boy said

"I think it's obvious that those two's stock is about to go up." A black hair glasses kid said

"With a strength Quirk and a grappling Quirk, many agencies would want Midoriya for how versatile he could be in battle." A purple hair kid said

"However, I believe even with one Quirk, Bakugo is so much more versatile with his Explosions." The blonde kid complimented Katsuki

"Yeah, but his attitude and his destructive capability could make others fearful of him." The purple-haired one pointed out "That might make his stock go down."

"You're right." The black-haired glasses kid agreed

"Business course students." Toshinori recognized which course they were from "Some things never change."

"The contestants are pouring in one after the other. Let's hear some applause for all our competitors as we prepare the results." Mic could hear the happy crowd wanting more as they roar

"Deku! That was amazing!" Ochako complimented Izuku as she tried to catch her breath

"Oh, thank you!" Izuku was blushing a little
