Chapter 21: Battle On The Volcano! Vs. Leader Blaine!
After the battle with Articuno ended and Michael was teleported away to Cinnabar Island's Pokémon Center to save Vulpix, the rest of the party, along with Michael's all starter team, quickly made their way out of the Seafoam Islands. They then quickly made their way across the western side of Route 20, thus finally reaching Cinnabar Island.
? - "Hey! Sabrina! Clair!"
Clair/Sabrina - "Blaine!"
Both girls led the rest of the party over to the elder gym leader.
Clair - "What are you doing here Blaine?"
Blaine - "I promised Michael I'd wait here for you all while he handed his Vulpix over to Nurse Joy. Now come along. We shouldn't keep Michael waiting."
Blaine quickly walked off towards the Pokémon Center, the rest of the party falling in line behind him. Soon they arrived at the Pokemon Center, then went inside and found Michael sitting on a bench in the lobby.
Twilight - "There you are."
Michael stood up and was hugged by the girls.
Mikey - "How's Vulpix doing?"
Michael smiled before answering.
Michael - "Let's just say... She's in good hands."
Weiss - "What do you mean by that?"
Weiss had her question answered when three women came of the back room. They then took off their medical caps and masks.
Ruby - "Is that...?"
Yang - "It is! It's Tracie, Hilda and Jeanne!"
Michael then walked over to his mom.
Michael - "How's Vulpix doing mom?"
Mikey/John/Jack/Hololive EN - "Mom!?"
Tracie looked at her only son, then gave him a happy smile.
Tracie - "She's doing just fine dear."
Michael fell back into his seat and let go of the breath he had been holding in.
Tracie - "The three of us were able to get her health out of the danger area. All she needs now is a good night's rest and she'll be back to good health."
Michael was trying his hardest to hold back tears, very happy to hear that Vulpix was gonna be just fine. Tracie then noticed everyone else.
Tracie - "Oh I do apologize for not seeing you all there. I'm Tracie Masi, Michael's mother. And these two ladies with me are my third oldest daughter Hilda, and my youngest daughter Jeanne."
Hilda - "Hello!"
Jeanne - "It's nice to meet you all."
Mikey/John/Jack/Hololive EN - "Same here."
Michael then got up and began to walk out of the Pokémon center.
Rainbow - "Where you going Michael?"
Michael - "A walk on the beach. I just want to be alone for a bit."
Kronii - "Just be careful ok."
Michael - "I will."
The others noticed Michael taking his backpack with him.
Yang - "Will he be okay Tracie?"
Tracie - "Don't worry Yang. I know my son. Just give him some time and he'll be back to his old self soon."
Michael had reached the beach. Then he set up a two-person tent, despite the fact he was using it alone. He watched along with the beachgoers as some of his rivals battled Blaine for the Volcano Badge and won. Soon night fell, and Michael sat alone on the beach, watching the waves in silence. He was soon joined by Twilight.
Twilight - "Hey Michael. You doing ok?"
Michael - "Just fine Twilight. I do apologize for not being there to help celebrate for those of our group that won today."
Twilight - "Hey don't worry about it. The others know you still need some time to yourself."
She notices the tent.
Twilight - "I'm guessing you're sleeping out here tonight?"
Michael - "Yep."
Twilight - "Alright then. But at least have your own Pokémon cover your sleeping back."
Twilight pointed behind her. Michael looked to where she was pointing and saw his Swampert and Delphox walking over to them.
Michael - "Hey you two. Sorry if I worried you both."
Delphox - "It's ok Michael. Even the two of us knew you wanted some alone time."
Swampert - "Yeah don't sweat the small stuff. We need to worry about your health just as much as you need to worry about ours."
Michael smiled.
Michael - "Thanks you two."
Twilight then got up.
Twilight - "Well then, I think I'll turn in the for the night. See you guys tomorrow. And Michael."
Michael - "Yes Twilight?"
Twilight - "Please come and cheer for the others alongside us tomorrow."
Michael - "Of course I will."
Twilight then kissed Michael on the lips before returning to the Pokémon Center.
? - "About time she left."
Michael - "Agreed Vulpix."
Michael then suddenly did a double take.
Michael/Delphox/Swampert - "Vulpix!?"
Vulpix - "Quiet! Do you three want to wake up the entire island?"
Michael - "Sorry. But still. What are you doing here? I thought you'd still be asleep by now."
Vulpix - "Normally I would be. But not tonight. I was more worried about you Michael."
Michael - "Aww thanks Vulpix."
Vulpix - "Not at all. And I'm happy to see that you're in better spirits too."
Michael - "I am. However, there is one thing I want to ask you Vulpix."
Vulpix - "What is it?"
Michael walked over towards the shore and sat down in the sand. He then pulled something out of his pocket and placed it in front of Vulpix. It was a Fire Stone. Vulpix then looked up at Michael.
Michael - "I want to know your resolve Vulpix. Do you truly want to get stronger and evolve or not."
Vulpix - "Well... I..."
Michael - "And just remember. This is entirely your choice. Not mine. Not Delphox's. And not Swampert's. So whatever choice you make, we'll go along with it."
Vulpix looked at Michael, seeing the spark in his eyes. And it was then that Vulpix made her decision.
Vulpix - "I choose-"
-The Next Morning-
Michael slowly opened his eyes, listening to the waves of the sea. He then looked over to see Delphox cuddled against his chest.
Michael - "Hey Delphox. Wake up."
Delphox - "Five more minutes..."
Michael then grabbed Delphox's butt, starling her awake.
Delphox - "Pervert."
Michael - "You do realize I only did that due to how much of a heavy sleeper you are sometimes."
Delphox - "Sorry..."
Michael pets her head, then softly kisses her on the lips.
Michael - "Don't worry about it. Now why don't you go see how Swampert's doing while I get dressed."
Delphox - "Right."
Delphox then got up and exited the tent, giving Michael his privacy.
Swampert - "Morning Delphox. Sleep well?"
Delphox - "Morning to you too Swampert. Yes, I did. How about you?"
Swampert - "I slept just fine too. So how Michael's doing?"
Delphox - "He's happier than he was yesterday at least."
Swampert - "That's good to hear."
Michael then walked out of the tent fully dressed.
Michael - "Ah. That sea air feels good."
Swampert - "Morning Michael."
Michael - "Morning Swampert."
Delphox - "So what are we doing this morning?"
Michael - "You Delphox, are gonna go tell the others that I'll join them for breakfast. Meanwhile, Swampert and I will quickly head over to Pokémon Mansion and see if there are any encounters I can get before my gym battle."
Delphox - "Ok then. You two be careful now."
Swampert - "We will."
Michael quickly folded up and put away the tent. Delphox then watched as they ran off towards the Mansion. She then followed suite and headed towards the Pokémon Center. Around 30 minutes, Michael returned to the Pokémon Center and handed Swampert over to Nurse Joy. He waited a few seconds to get Swampert back, then rejoined the others for breakfast.
Michael - "Morning guys."
Twilight - 'Morning Michael. Glad to see you're feeling better."
Michael - "Thanks. Sorry for worrying you all yesterday."
Tracie - "Don't worry about it dear. By the way, do you know what happened to Vulpix last night?"
Michael - 'Oh she appeared near me, Delphox, and Swampert last night on the beach after Twilight went back to the Pokémon Center. I did scold her for escaping the Pokémon Center while not being at 100% health. Then let me stay with us to save her the trouble of walking back here in the middle of the night."
Sabrina - "Delphox told us you and Swampert went over to the Pokemon Mansion. Did you catch anything?"
Michael - "Just a Ditto. Along with getting a Magmar encounter. Already sent the Ditto home."
Tracie - "Well I just got a call from Akira this morning. And she said that she'll join us in front of the volcano where Blaine's battling challengers."
Michael - "By the way who HASN'T battled Blaine for the Volcano Badge yet?"
Mikey - "Just you, me, John, and Jack."
Michael - "Ok then. I call to go last."
Mikey/John/Jack - "Man..."
Soon the party had a big breakfast, then made their way over to the volcano, where they quickly found Akira with a front row seat to the action.
Akira - "Hey big brother!"
Michael - "Yo sis. Everyone, this is my younger twin sister Akira."
Akira - "Hello!"
Tracie - "Hello Akira sweetheart. Nice of you to finally join us."
Akira - "Not at all mom. So is big brother going first?"
Michael - "Sorry Akira. I'm going last actually. But that just means I'll give the biggest show for everyone."
Akira - "Aww fine."
Soon the four boys made their way into the base of the volcano. They walked along a path until they came across an underground battlefield.
Blaine - "Ah there you four are."
Mikey - "Apologizes if we made you wait Blaine."
Blaine - "None at all boys. Now what say we get your gum challenges underway."
Since Michael was going last, Mikey, John, and Jack played roshambo to decided who was gonna battle Blaine first. Sadly, Jack lost outright and had to battle Blaine first. Surprisingly, despite how insane his battle style Mikey and John said it was, Jack found a way to win the Volcano Badge. Then John and Mikey followed suite and won the Volcano Badge as well, although it was in a smarter and cleaner fashion.
Michael - "Guess it's my turn now."
Blaine - "Not quite yet Michael."
Michael - "What do you mean Blaine?"
Blaine - "Simple. We'll have our battle for the Volcano Badge. But not on THIS battlefield. Our battle will take place ON TOP of the volcano."
Mikey - "Is he for real?!"
Michael - "Mikey. You three head back down to the others. You lead Blaine."
Blaine - "Right this way then."
Mikey, John, and Jack went back down the path they came, while Michael walked over and followed Blaine on a path that went further up inside the volcano. Soon they reached the peak and took opposite sides of the battlefield. Tim also appeared on a special stand which was a good distance away.
Tim - "This is the Cinnabar Island Gym Battle between Gym Leader Blaine and Challenger Michael Masi of Pokémon Island. The battle will be four vs. all. The battle will continue until all Pokémon on one side are unable to continue. Are both sides ready?"
Blaine/Michael - "Ready!"
Both trainers activated their Battle Disks.

Blaine - "Go Magmar!"
Michael - "Swampert I choose you!"
Match #1: Swampert Vs. Magmar
Tim - "Swampert vs. Magmar! Begin!"
Turn #1
Michael's Hand: 5 + 1 = 6
Blaine's Hand: 5 + 1 = 6
Blaine - "Confuse Ray!"
Michael - "Ability card activate! Water Booster! Now dodge it and answer back with Waterfall!"
Michael's Hand: 6 – 1 = 5
Water Booster: Turn 1/3
Waterfall's Current Power: 80 + 40 = 120 + 24 = 144 x 2 = 288
Swampert moved to dodge, but just wasn't quick enough and got confused. However, he was able to hit Magmar with a powered-up Waterfall, knocking him out despite the confusion.
Tim - "Magmar is unable to battle! Swampert wins!"
Michael - "Nice one Swampert!"
Swampert - "Thanks Michael!"
Blaine returned Magmar.
Blaine - "Thank you for the attempt Magmar. Go Rapidash!"
Tim - "Will you change Pokémon challenger Michael?"
Michael crossed his arms, saying no.
Match #2: Swampert Vs. Rapidash
Tim - "Swampert vs. Rapidash! Begin!"
Turn #2
Michael's Hand: 5 + 1 = 6
Blaine's Hand: 6 + 1 = 7
Water Booster: Turn 2/3
Blaine - "Quick Attack Rapidash!"
Michael - "Ground Booster and Fighting Booster! Now answer back with Earth Break!"
Michael's Hand: 6 – 2 = 4
Ground Booster: Turn 1/3
Fighting Booster: Turn 1/3
Earthquake's Current Power: 100 + 50 = 150 + 30 = 180
Brick Break's Current Power: 75 + 15 = 90
Earth Break's Current Power: 180 + 90 = 270 x 2 = 540
Rapidash's Quick Attack struck, but it did little to no damage due to how bulky Swampert was. However, Swampert widely missed hitting Rapidash due to being confused.

Blaine - "Fire Booster! Use Flare Blitz!"
Michael - "Answer back with Waterfall!"

Flare Blitz's Current Power: 120 + 60 = 180 + 36 = 216/2 = 108
Rapidash rushed at Swampert, who once again took the Flare Blitz like it was nothing. He then fought through the confusion and struck back at Rapidash, knocking her out.
Tim - "Rapidash is unable to battle! Swampert wins!"
Blaine returned Rapidash.
Blaine - "Thank you for your efforts Rapidash. Go Ninetales!"
Tim - "Will you change Pokémon challenger Michael?"
Michael crossed his arms, once again saying no.

Match #3: Swampert Vs. Ninetales
Tim - "Swampert Vs. Ninetales! Begin!"

Michael's Hand: 5 + 1 = 6
Blaine's Hand: 8 + 1 = 9
Ground Booster: Turn 3/3

Fire Booster" Turn 2/3
Blaine - "Fire Blast!"
Michael - "Earth Break!"
Fire Blast's Current Power: 110 + 55 = 165 + 33 = 198/2 = 99
Swampert broke through his confusion, hitting Ninetales with complete ease and knocking her out."
Tim - "Ninetales is unable to battle! Swampert wins!"
Blaine returned Ninetales.
Blaine - "Thank you Ninetales. Go Arcanine!"
Tim - "Will you change Pokémon challenger Michael?"
Michael looked at Swampert, who nodded.
Michael - "Swampert return!"
Suddenly went so quiet, you could hear a pin drop.
Twilight - "Is He Nuts?!"
Meanwhile, Delphox said nothing. Watching the screen with intent.
Blaine - "You do realize with you're doing, right?"
Michael - "I do. Besides, I promised her a part of this battle after all."
Blaine - "Her?"
Michael took the Premier Ball off of his belt.
Michael - "Go Premier Ball!"
The Premier Ball popped open. and out of it... Was a shiny Ninetales.
Sabrina - "Michael... evolved Vulpix?!"
Delphox - "Yes. He did."
Yang - "What do you mean by that Delphox?"
Delphox - "Last night. When Vulpix joined up with me, Swampert, and Michael. Michael took a fire stone out of his pocket and placed it on the beach in front of her and said that it was her choice if she wanted to evolve. And as you all can see, she made her choice."

Tim - "Ninetales Vs. Arcanine! Begin!"

Arcanine intimidated Ninetales, lowering her Attack.
Ninetales: Attack -1
Blaine - "I activate Dragon Booster, Dark Booster, and Fire Sword! Use Crunch!"
Michael - "Dodge it and fire back with Dark Sensory!"
Blaine's Hand: 10 – 3 = 7
Dragon Booster: Turn 1/3
Dark Booster: Turn 1/3
Fire Sword: Turn 1/3
Crunch's Current Power: 80 + 16 = 96
Dark Sensory's Current Power: 80 + 80 = 160
Ninetales easily dodged the Crunch and hit Arcanine with Dark Sensory.

Blaine - "Crunch again!"
Michael - "Dark Sensory again!"
However, unlike the first exchange, this time Ninetales missed and Arcanine struck. Arcanine grabbed Ninetales by the fore leg and threw her across the battlefield.
Michael - "Ninetales!"
Ninetales slowly got to her feet.
Swampert - "You ok?"
Ninetales - "Just fine..."
Blaine - "You might as well call her back. She's on her last legs."
Michael - "No I won't! I have complete faith in Ninetales to win this!"
Ninetales - "Michael..."
Suddenly Ninetales's feel her entire body being covered in a strange light. When the light faded, Ninetales somehow gained a human body.
Swampert - "Wasn't expecting that."
Michael - "Me either. But we can question how that happened later. Let's wrap this battle up Ninetales!"
Ninetales - "Right!"
Turn #7
Michael's Hand: 8 + 1 = 9
Blaine's Hand: 8 + 1 = 9

Dark Booster (Blaine): Turn 3/3
Fire Sword: Turn 3/3
Blaine - "End this with Flare Blitz Arcanine!"
Michael - "Take that Flare Blitz and get ready to strike back!"
Flare Blitz's Current Power: 120 + 60 = 180 x 2 = 360/2 = 180
Arcanine attacked Ninetales with Flare Blitz, but to everyone surprise, it did completely nothing.
Blaine - "Wait! Don't tell me her ability is Flash Fire!"
Michael - "That's right. And because you hit Ninetales with a Fire-Type move, that means the next one she uses will be even stronger. Ninetales! End this battle right now! Dark Energy Flame Sensory! And I'll also activate my own Dark Booster, along with Psychic Booster and Resist Reverse!"
Blaine - "Resist Reverse?"
Michael - "Yep. Normally your Arcanine resists Fire-Type and Grass-Type moves, but thanks to this card, he'll now take double the normal damage instead."
Blaine - "I see."
Blaine could only smile, knowing he had truly lost.
Michael - "Do it Ninetales!"
Ninetales - "On it!"
Flamethrower's Current Power: 90 + 45 = 135 + 67.5 = 202.5
Dark Pulse's Current Power: 80 + 16 = 96
Extrasensory's Current Power: 80 + 16 = 96
Dark Energy Flame Sensory's Current Power: 202.5 + 96 = 298.5 + 96 = 394.5 + 90 = 484.5 x 2 = 969 x 2 = 1,938
Ninetales fired off her combo attack, hitting Arcanine and knocking him out.
(Music Ends)
Tim - "Arcanine is unable to battle! Ninetales wins! All four of Gym Leader Blaine's Pokémon are knocked out, so the winner is the challenger, Michael Masi!"
Michael - "Alright!"
Suddenly Blaine and Tim, along with all three Pokemon, were picked up with a psychic force and thrown off the top of the volcano.
Michael - "No!"
He then breathed a massive sigh of relief at seeing Ninetales and Swampert, along with Blaine, his Arcanine, and Tim, through the combined efforts of Delphox, Twilight, and Sabrina using their psychic powers. Michael stood up and turned to face the unknown attacker.
Michael - "It's about time you showed up... Mewtwo."
Mewtwo - "So this is Lady Arceus's Chosen One? You're just a weak little human."
Michael - "Oh really? Then what say I prove you wrong then."
Mewtwo - "Bring it on then brat."
Michael used his psychic powers and floated into the air a good distance away from Mewtwo. The two then begin to exchange punches and kicks. They both knew the difference right away.
Mewtwo - "Skip the warm-up?"
Michael - "Sure thing."
They then exchanged punches and kicks again, this time everything hit harder and faster compared to the first exchange.
Michael - "I'll admit Mewtwo. You're way stronger than I'd give you credit for. But then again you are a Psychic-Type after all."
Mewtwo - "Thank you for the kind words. But don't think for a second that'll save you."
Michael then let his aura flare.
Michael - "Oh I'm well aware of that already."
The two of them flew through the sky before finding an empty cavern that was above sea level, constantly trading a single punch or kick with each other from time to time.
Mewtwo - "As you should be."
Michael - "However, I am a bit disappointed."
Mewtwo - "How so?"
Michael - "Like I said before. You're a strong Pokémon Mewtwo. So strong in fact, that I'm sure I'll lose this battle."
Mewtwo - "But..."
Michael - "But my pride refuses to let me know when to quit. It's telling me to fight to the bitter end, despite my better knowledge. And that's exactly what I intend to do. Besides I'm not satisfited yet."
Mewtwo - "Of course. Let your foolish pride be your downfall. But you should know I'm not satisfied either. At least not yet."
Michael - "Yeah. Why not?"
Mewtwo - "I still haven't even come close to using my full power in this fight."
Michael - "Oh. That makes sense. I've been going at about 20% myself."
Mewtwo was stunned.
Mewtwo - "What? You're holding back?! Alright, Fine! Let's See How You Do At This Speed!"
Mewtwo turned up the speed, making it even harder for Michael to keep up with him. Despite that, Michael was still adapting to her increased power.
Mewtwo - "How's that?! Taking me seriously now?!"
Michael's aura boost disappeared.
Michael - "You're about to find out!"
They continued trading blows, with each side either throwing a punch or blocking the opponents. Michael then used his aura to get behind Mewtwo and land a hit on her. He then went for another one, but Mewtwo dodged. Mewtwo then started firing energy blasts at Michael.
Michael - "You didn't tell me we were using blasts now!"
Mewtwo continued firing, while Michael kept dodging.
Mewtwo - "This is no game! You're fighting to live!"
Michael dodged every blast Mewtwo fired at him. He then appeared behind Mewtwo and landed another hit. This caused Mewtwo to cry out in anger and fire blasts in every direction, thus causing multiple large boulders to fall towards Michael. Michael tried punching his way out, but the boulders were soon too much for him. He then screamed at the top of his lungs.
Michael - "I WON'T LET YOU DESTROY THIS WORLD!"
(Insert Music: DBZ: BoG OST – Hero by Flow)
Michael went Inner Soul as he charged his way out of the planet's core, with Mewtwo close behind him.
Twilight - "He's changed! He's in trouble! He's dropped from his aura boost to Inner Soul!"
The others expressed their shock at what Twilight just stated. Meanwhile, Michael and Mewtwo quickly traded punches and kicks with each other as their fight took them to near Outer Orbit. Soon the others had trouble trying to keep up with Michael and Mewtwo.
Weiss - "So fast. You still following this, Ruby?"
Ruby - "Nope. Totally lost."
Michael and Mewtwo had another exchange of punches.
Michael - "If You're Gonna Use Blasts Against Me, That's Fine! I've Got One…For You!"
Mewtwo - "Go On! Feel Free!"
Michael used aura boost three times before appearing behind Mewtwo.
Mewtwo - "What?"
(Music Ends)
Michael - "HAAAAA!"
Mewtwo screamed as she was caught in the attack. The smoke then cleared to show she was just as banged up as Michael was. Michael smirked.
Michael - "Don't tell me you're done already?"
Mewtwo smirked back.
Mewtwo - "Not by a long shot."
Both fighters then launched a blast at each other.
Mewtwo - "Aura Sphere!"
Michael - "Soul Burst!"
Both attacks collided, causing them to explode. Michael and Mewtwo then flew into the smoke, hoping to catch each other off guard. They quickly sensed each other and blindly threw a punch, somehow hitting the other in the jaw.
? - "Stop sis!"
Michael watched as a much smaller version of Mewtwo, that was entirely pink, floated in front of her.
Mewtwo - "Move Mew. We have to decide how this battle ends."
Mew - "I know but..."
Michael - "Please Mew."
Mew turned towards Michael.
Michael - "Let your sister and I bring this battle to an end. Otherwise, I'm sure neither of us will be satisfied at ending this in a draw."
Mew pondered for a moment, then sighed in defeat.
Mew - "Fine. But there better be a winner."
Mew then got out of the way, knowing that there was gonna be a crazy finish to the battle.
Michael - "Now then Lady Mewtwo. Shall we finish this?"
Mewtwo - "Let's."
Michael then shocked everyone by summoning aura swords, followed by quickly rushing Mewtwo.
Mewtwo - "What?!"
Michael - "Soul Slash Fang!"
Michael fired a forehand vertical slash attack at Mewtwo, then quickly followed it up with a horizontal backhand slash attack. Then both attacks combined to make an x-shape and hit Mewtwo.
Mewtwo - "What is this?! How did he get this strong so quickly?!"
Michael then struck Mewtwo with a twin bladed slash across her chest.
Mewtwo - "Damn you-"
Mewtwo then froze as Michael stood above her, one of his aura swords pointed right between her eyes.
Michael - "Do you yield?"
Mewtwo hung her head, knowing she had truly lost this battle.
Mewtwo - "Yes. I yield. You are the stronger fighter."
Michael then dissipated his aura swords and held out his hand, helping Mewtwo to her feet.
Mewtwo - "But don't think this is over. I will get stronger, so be ready for our next battle."
Michael - "Oh I intend to."
Michael held out a Poké Ball, which Mew surprisingly stole from her older sister and let herself get caught in it.
Mewtwo - "Mew!"
Michael then dropped the Poké Ball, which to everyone's surprise was actually an Ultra Ball.

Michael - "I knew Mew was gonna try something like that. So, I pulled out an Ultra Ball, which she thought was the Master Ball instead."
Mewtwo - "Clever."
Michael then pulled out the true Master Ball and lightly threw it at Mewtwo, which hit her and sucked her into it, followed by falling to the ground.

Michael walked over and picked up both Ultra Ball and Master Ball.
Michael - "Alright! I just caught Lady Mew and Lady Mewtwo!"
? - "But your test truly isn't over yet."
Michael turned towards the voice.
Michael - "Hello Lady Arceus. And you as well Lady Moltres. I guess this is my last challenge for Kanto then?"
Arceus - "That's correct."
Realization then hit Michael.
Michael - "Aw crap."
Moltres - "What's wrong?"
Michael - "Well... Besides Mew and Mewtwo right now, I don't have any of my other Pokémon on me."
Arceus - "Oh that's right. You only had Swampert and Ninetales on you for the gym battle."
Michael - "Yeah..."
Arceus - "Here then. I'll take Mew and Mewtwo and hand them over to your mom since I'm gonna teleport her back to Pokémon Island after you're all done here on Cinnabar Island. So, which Pokémon do you want?"
Michael quickly told Arceus his choice while handing her the Ultra Ball and Master Ball. She then teleports down to the others and hands the two balls over to Tracie, then walks over and asks for Michael's selection. Arceus then teleports back to Michael and Moltres on top of the volcano. She walks over to Michael and hands him a Poké Ball.
Arceus - "Here you go Michael. Now just let me get out of the way and your final Kanto challenge can begin."
Michael - "Ok."
Arceus then quickly got out of the way.
Michael - "Ready when you are Lady Moltres."
Moltres - "Very well then young Michael. Give me everything you have!"

Legendary Battle: Michael (6) Vs. Bird of Fire Moltres
Michael quickly took off his cap and tossed it over the side of the volcano, where Kronii caught it. He also once again wore the gi from his battles with Zapdos and Articuno.
Michael - "Let's go Greninja!"
Greninja - "On it!"
Michael - "Battle disk activate!"
A bright aura surrounded Moltres as Michael's battle dick activated.
Moltres: Attack +1, Defense +1, Special Attack +1, Special Defense +1, Speed +1
Turn #1
Michael - "Let's go Greninja! Stronger and stronger!"
Both roared as Greninja donned the completed version of his battle bond ability.
Michael - "Water Shuriken!"
Moltres - "Agility!"
Water Shuriken's Current Power: 20 + 10 = 30 x 2 = 60 x 3 = 180
Moltres: Attack +1, Defense +1, Special Attack +1, Special Defense +1, Speed +3
Due to increasing her speed, Moltres dodged the Water Shuriken's easily.
Turn #2
Michael - "Dark Booster and Psychic Booster! Dark Sensory!"
Moltres - "Air Slash!"
Dark Pulse's Current Power: 80 + 40 = 120 + 24 = 144
Extrasensory's Current Power: 80 + 16 = 96
Dark Sensory's Current Power: 144 + 96 = 240
Air Slash's Current Power: 75 + 37.5 = 112.5
Both attacks hit, dealing a good amount of damage to their opponent.
Turn #3
Moltres - "Try another Air Slash!"
Michael - "Water Booster and Water Sword! Dodge and use Dark Sense Shuriken!"
Water Shuriken's Current Power: 20 + 10 = 30 + 6 = 36 x 2 = 72
Dark Sense Shuriken's Current Power: 72 + 240 = 312 x 2 = 624 x 3 = 1,872
Greninja easily dodged Moltres's second Air Slash, then quickly struck back with his own move, doing massive damage to the legendary bird.
Greninja - "Now Michael!"
Michael - "Go Ultra Ball!"
Michael threw the Ultra Ball, which hit Moltres on the head and sucked her into it. The Ultra Ball then fell to the ground and shook.

Michael smirked, then walked over and picked up the Ultra Ball he caught Moltres in.
Michael - "Alright! I caught Lady Moltres!"
Michael then ran and jumped off the volcano, Greninja quickly following him. The both of them then did a superhero landing at the volcano's base, where Michael swarmed by his mom, sisters, and the rest of the party. Blaine and Tim walked over, applauding along with the rest of the crowd as Arceus floated down the side of the volcano.
Blaine - "Very well-done Michael. Now for the last thing to put it all together. Tim?"
Tim - "Here you go Blaine."
Tim held out the tray that had the Volcano Badge, which Blaine then picked up and walked over to michael.
Blaine - "In accordance with Pokémon League rules, I award you the Marsh Badge."
Blaine held out the badge, which Michael happily took.
Michael - "Alright! Badge number seven! We just won the Volcano Badge!"
Swampert and Ninetales joined in the celebration. Soon everyone decided to call it a day and went to bed after everything that happened.
