*Mira's POV*
I was tending the bar at Fairy Tail just thinking about the one person who wasn't truly scared of me. Sure it was nice because it kept Natsu and Gray in line from fighting and everyone listened but everyone walked on eggshells with me. They don't now since I've sworn not to use my magic but I've fought the demons for control. Always have. Lucy was the one who helped me and I used her techniques to tame the demons and to come to a compromise. I barely looked up when the guild doors slammed open because I was working on drinks.
"We made it back alive!" Natsu yelled.
I sighed and just continued to make drinks. He had turned to someone, apparently a new person from the way he welcomed them to the guild. I looked up and the drink I was making slipped from my hand. There in the middle of the guild was the subject of my thoughts.
"Lucy!" Gray had said as he went to hug her.
"Clothes Fullbuster." she said.
I didn't hear anything else because I had to wrestle the demons for control again. It was worse because somehow the last demon I managed to take over was talking to the others and now a majority of them were fighting for control. It hurt. I clutched my head and did my best not to let out a scream as I wrestled the demons. I didn't notice when I had fallen to the floor.
*Gray's POV*
I was excited because my sister was here. I was about to hug her when I heard someone drop to the floor. I looked over to see Mirajane in pain. All of us moved to help her when her arm had morphed into a demon arm. We stood frozen because it was obvious one of her demons was fighting her. Lucy moved closer to her.
"What the hell is she doing?" Wakaba said.
"She's gonna get hurt." Macao said.
I watched Lucy as she gently held Mira's face. I saw her make Mira look at her before Lucy placed a kiss to Mira's forehead. Mira had closed her eyes and I saw tears flow down her face.
"You're alright Mira. You've got this. Focus. You've beaten them before. Remind them why you deserve to have them in your arsenal. Remind them just who Mirajane Emiline Strauss is and don't let them forget it." Lucy said.
I watched as Mira's body began to relax and her arm went back to normal. It was a few tense minutes and I sighed in relief when Mira collapsed into Lucy's arms. Lucy picked her up and sat on a table so she was comfortable with Mira.
"Lucy. What happened?" I asked as I moved closer.
"Mira had let her ironclad grip on her demons that some pushed back. It hurt her to fight them back but she managed." Lucy said.
I just nodded and didn't realize I had begun taking off my clothes when they were suddenly replaced by some that were cool enough that I didn't want to take them off. I looked up to see Lucy smirking at me. Cana had even put down her barrel and went over to Lucy. I was too focused on Lucy to really participate in messing with Natsu. Well, not until she went with Mira to go clean the bar and chill. Then I messed with Natsu.
Master had come out at one point and I didn't even notice him till he started talking.
"Listen up!" he said and all members looked at him, "You idiots have done it again! Look at all the complaints I got from the Council! Gray, you took care of the smugglers, but then you walked naked through the town and got noticed stealing underwear that was being dried."
I sighed, I was putting them back, not stealing them. I looked over to see Lucy when Mira asked her where she wanted her guild mark.
*Mira's POV*
My demons were finally calm now and had actually fallen back into line. I turned to Lucy.
"So Lucy, where do you want your guild mark?" I asked.
"Hmm, gold left shoulder." she said.
I nodded and placed the stamp there. Lucy made her way over to the job board where Natsu was standing.
"So Luigi. What do you say we go do a job?" Natsu asked.
I winced as I knew Lucy had a very mean kick but sighed in relief when Master interrupted.
"Lucy, would you mind coming up here to do some initial paperwork?" Master said.
"Sure." Lucy said.
She headed upstairs and I smiled.
"She's gotten strong hasn't she?" I said.
"Yes. I still can't believe she helped me out. It's thanks to her that I have a steady job and found something to do." Bisca said.
Lucy came back down and we partied for the fact that we gained a new member. It was underway when Romeo went up to Lucy.
*Lucy's POV*
I was at the bar just waiting on a drink when a little guy came over to me.
"Excuse me." he said.
"Yes?" I said.
"I wanted to ask you if you can find my dad. He's a mage here and he took a mission and hasn't returned yet." he said with tears in his eyes.
"Romeo! I told you to stop pestering everyone about Macao. He's a mage and can take care of himself!" Makarov yelled.
The little guy started crying so I picked him up and held him close. I glared at him which I knew for sure was making even Mira's Halphas soul cower.
"Master, why would you say that to a kid his age?" I questioned.
"I just told him the truth. You shouldn't worry over something silly." he said.
I put Romeo down and he clung to my leg.
"Not worry? I don't want him to lose his father when he has no other family. Do you think I want him to go without a father?" I questioned.
"What do you mean?" Master said.
"Romeo still has a dad that cares. You know well how it feels to not grow up without a father." I said.
Chara and Rio popped out. They began nuzzling Romeo who giggled.
"Chara, Rio. Let's go fetch a dad shall we?" I said.
They barked and they stood at the front of the guild. I knelt down to Romeo.
"I'll go get your dad alright. When I get back, you'll be my little brother from now on. How's that sound?" I said.
He grinned and hugged my legs, "I'd like that, sis."
I smiled, "Now what mission did he take?"
"He took a mission to Mt. Hakobe to defeat some vulcans." he said.
I smiled and patted him on the head. We left and I gate hopped once I was far enough away from the guild. And diverting Natsu because the idiot was following me. Chara and Rio sniffed out the vulcan's cave and we went in. Chara let me know that the Vulcan had two scents, so it looks like the Vulcan possessed Macao. I called out Taurus and sent Chara and Rio back with promises of belly rubs later. Taurus made it easier to knock out the Vulcan and with it knocked out, the Vulcan disappeared leaving an injured Macao in its place. I sent Taurus back and called out Aquarius to heal Macao.
"Thank you Mama." I said.
Aquarius smiled and left. Of course not without pressing a kiss to my head. Macao was passed out from low magic so I called out Cera to see if she could carry both of us. We returned to Fairy Tail within the next two hours. I kicked the doors open after dismissing Cera with the promise of sugar cubes afterwards and carried Macao up to the guild infirmary. I called to Romeo to follow and I heard his little footsteps come charging towards us. I had managed to get Macao into an infirmary bed and comfortable before Romeo came barreling in. He dove for my torso before turning around and sitting on my lap.
Macao started waking up and sat up. He looked around before Romeo jumped onto him.
"Oof…Sore." Macao said.
Romeo got off immediately.
"Hey kiddo. Sorry for worrying you." he said and hugged his son.
"It's alright dad. I forgive you." Romeo said, "Lucy helped me. I was worried about you and I asked her if she could go after you because the others wouldn't."
Macao turned to me with a confused look.
I gave him a nod of respect, "Hello Macao. I'm Lucy Heartfilia. I'm new to the guild and I rescued you." I said.
He gave me a grateful look, "Thank you for saving my life. I owe you one."
I smiled and turned when someone chuckled from the doorway revealing Makarov smiling at us.
"I see that you are well Macao." he said.
"Yeah, but I wasn't too good. I was possessed by a Vulcan. If Lucy hadn't saved me I probably would have been a goner." Macao said as he gave me a grateful look and I sent Makarov a pointed one.
"Hehe…I guess you were right to worry Lucy. I'm sorry about your mother." Makarov said.
"It's fine, you didn't know. Macao, take it easy for a while okay? You just need some food and water as well as some rest and you'll be right as rain." I said getting up.
I walked towards the infirmary door when a set of little arms wrapped around my leg stopped me. I looked down to see a sad Romeo.
"Where are you going?" he asked.
"I'm going to fill out the papers that will officially make you my little brother and when I come back, I will have a surprise but only if your good." I said.
"Okay." he said and he ran back to his dad.
I made my way out of the guild and to where my house was. I had bought a house that was in a clearing and was away from the bustle of the city. It wasn't far for me because I was used to running the distance. It was a two story house with the bedrooms upstairs. The living room, kitchen and dining room were downstairs. I liked it and I set up preliminary runes to notify me when someone enters the property.
I contracted my new keys and they were all sweethearts. Especially Ursa Major. She could smell her baby on me and had accepted a contract with me immediately. Canes Minor, Nikora, was a companion spirit whom I named Plue. Canes Major was also a companion spirit but was more of a familiar than anything. He could hunt certain things in a pinch but not much. Fornax was interesting because he was able to make anything. Describe it to him and he'll have it made within the hour or since I'm stronger than his previous owners, he could make it and have it for me within half an hour. His off days were Sundays so that was fair. I had just finished my contracts when I heard someone in the living room.
I went downstairs to see Natsu and Happy in my house.
"What the hell are you doing in my house?" I asked.
"I wanted to take you on a job and be a part of my team." he said.
"You have a team?" I asked.
"Aye. Even though everyone in the guild is allied to one another, some members that get along well with each other form teams within the guild. That way jobs that may be hard for one person to take is easier when in a team." Happy said.
"Are you sure? I'm used to being on my own." I said. "What's the job?"
I looked at the flier and then growled. Duke of Everlue has a book the client wants destroyed and is looking for a blonde haired maid.
"We know a blonde haired girl don't we?" Natsu said.
-Lucy, Virgo is contracted to him. She was forced into it and due to her subservient nature, she's made to do what he wants.-
I growled at him but agreed to be his partner for this ONE mission. I felt my magic take hold and so it counted. So we made our way via train to Shirotsume Town. Once we were there, Natsu was complaining about being hungry. Which was negated when he heard the reward money and started taking it seriously.
*Virgo's POV*
He kept me out too long. This hurts. Must, remain. Through the haze, he sent me after the two humans that were after a book. The form he wanted me in wasn't easy to hold onto. It was too heavy, to much weight for me to move properly. Apparently the two mages that he hired didn't want to face the blonde for she took down and disbanded their guild by herself. I was trying not to disappear when I was suddenly summoned by him. I was made to fight against Tauros. So, that meant the blonde haired mage was his holder. I could feel the magical strength he had and that he had enough magic to actually force his gate, I knew that I wanted to be one of his holder's spirits. No, not because of her magic strength, but because Tauros and the others have bragged so much about their holder being the nicest one. They get days off. They get breaks. They don't get punished for something they misinterpreted.
I was weak facing off against him because I had been out for a long time. I felt my contract with the Duke disappear as he got arrested. I was finally in the Celestial Plane and my area was calm. I plopped down on my bed, sore and so tired. I was about to fall asleep when I felt someone looking at me. I looked up warily and through tired eyes at who wanted to see me. I mustered the energy to say something.
"A…Aquarius." I whispered.
I struggled to get up and to greet her properly. She gently pushed me onto my bed.
"Relax Virgo. It's okay. You're safe now. Lucy has your key." she said.
I nodded and I was happy that my key was in the hands of a mage who seemed to make the others really happy.
"Lucy's asked me to watch over you and to heal any injuries you may have had." Aquarius said.
I was curious because she's never had enough magic to use her water to heal before. Long ago, the only one who might have had that magical capability was Anna Heartfilia. I wanted to ask but Aquarius just smiled at me. I felt the water move over my body and start healing the worst of it. It was so…warm…nice…oh so tired.
"S…whats…her name?" I slurred.
Then my bed felt oh so soft. So…fluffy….s…I barely heard the name, Heartfilia is the name I picked up. My last coherent thought was that my key was held by the descendent of Anna Heartfilia. I slept with no nightmares. No worries of being called suddenly. No worries of being ripped from sleep from him. No worries of having to stay up for hours on end doing jackshit nothing. Everything got so much fuzzier and I slipped deeper into sleep.
*Aries' POV*
When Virgo returned after her contract was nullified. Lucy had called upon both Aquarius and I to help her. Virgo looked unsteady and just really tired. My previous masters were horrid, Karen Lilica especially, but when I finally had the chance to breathe and look, Virgo looked really run down. Her previous master, Duke of Everlue, had her on standby for a lot. She was forced to look like a large rotund woman and that she was to be used for everything his other maids didn't. When something wasn't done right, he had her out anywhere between hours on end or sometimes days on end for punishment. The contract allowed it because of Virgo's nature but he abused it. He borderline physically hurt her and mentally hurt her.
Lucy wanted us to give Virgo the best sleep of her life and I was going to make sure of it. Lucy had the magical prowess and power to allow me to have access to that property my wool could have. I could make someone have nightmares or angelic dreams, or no dreams at all. I could coerce someone into answering truthfully with my wool. With Lucy, my offensive abilities were activated and were accessible. I am still a defensive spirit, but Lucy has me think in ways that actually turn my defense into a strong offense. I used my ability to cause someone to have a peaceful dream to make sure Virgo slept through the night while Aquarius was tasked to heal her worst injuries and let the Spirit energy heal the rest. Once that was accomplished, I mentally told Lucy to let Virgo have three days Earthland time to rest before contracting her. Lucy mentally nodded and had sent more of her magic to us to make sure we had enough to help Virgo.
I paid attention when Lucy had contracted the other spirit that had moved their key to Lucy. Phoenix, or Fin as most call him. All of us did because Lucy had done it at the guild. I paid attention because I sensed him, Leo. He had broken the Law when he took my place to protect me.
*Lucy's POV*
I had just had the conversation with Aries about Virgo's wellbeing when Natsu came over. It just so happened that I had found Phoenix nearby on the way back from the Everlue mission. It was also on the way back that I found out about Lullaby from four mages that had a weird guild symbol. A guild symbol that I haven't seen yet. I had Crux researching both at the moment.
It was along the way home when we ran across Gray and had gotten their opinions on Erza. Gray had scared Natsu with the name and I joked with them on what they thought of Erza. Apparently they were scared witless of her.
"Hey Lucy. You alright over there?" Natsu asked.
"What is it Natsu?" I asked.
"Well I was wondering how your magic worked," he said.
So I decided to show the guild how Celestial Magic worked. I called on Phoenix to demonstrate since he's uncontracted at the moment.
"I am the bridge between our worlds, I call upon the spirit of the Fire Bird, Phoenix to pass through the gate. Open, Gate of the Fire Bird, Phoenix." I chanted first.
A silver light appeared and a thin but lean man stood in front of me.
"Hello Phoenix. I am Lucy Heartfilia. Would you like to make a contract with me?" I said in greeting.
He looked at me and grinned, "Please call me Fin, Master. I would love to make a contract with the one mage who's the talk of the Celestial realm. One whom many spirits hope to find their keys. Many have moved their keys to where you could find them."
I smiled, "Call me Lucy kay? I'm not your master. I would hope to be your friend Fin. What magic do you use and what days are you available?"
"As you wish Lucy. I use fire and I am a healer. I use fire to heal someone. I am a support spirit and do better when paired with someone who can protect me. I provide them last minute strength and power boost while they provide protection. I can hold my own in a melee fight and decent at hand to hand. I am available whenever you need me, Lucy, though I would prefer to work on the major injuries as that is what I am built for. I heal someone to a point of healing on their own but in dire need I can heal them to full capacity. Full capacity healing comes at a cost to their health though as they will need to rest with no strenuous activities for a full month after." he said.
I smiled at him and shook his hand. I closed the gate and wrote everything down.
"That's weak. Why not sell him?" Natsu said.
"SELL HIM? HE is one of the best healers on the celestial plane if not the best. His abilities are unmatched." I said.
My keys warmed in anger and I winced as I had to forcefully keep their gates closed.
"Are you okay?" Master asked.
"Yep, currently holding my spirits back from coming and wailing on Natsu, making him regret saying that." I said.
"Let them through dear." Master said.
I sighed and released my magic. The first to come through and drown him was Aquarius. One by one, each of my spirits, EVEN MY COMPANION SPIRITS wanted to show Natsu that they aren't weak. The only one who hadn't come out yet was Aries. She was last and had wrapped Natsu in her wool, making him experience phantom pain and bliss, showing him how dangerous someone who is a defense spirit could truly be. She then decided that she would stand next to me and stay by my side for the moment.
"Okay, remind me to never ever get on your bad side." Gray said and he looked a little pale.
"You're fine Gray as long as you don't insult the spirits." I said.
"Noted." he said.
He started pulling his shirt off and I smacked him. He rubbed his head sheepishly and I knew what he wanted so I gave him the light weight shirt to use instead.
"Damn Lucy. You've got one fine spirit." Wakaba said.
"She's hot!" someone else said.
"Yeah, hey Lucy! Think you could loan her to me?"
I glared at them and surprisingly Loke, "Aries is NOT a sex toy! Like hell am I going to let pervs like you even get close to her. She is MY SPIRIT and I will protect her."
I turned to Aries who had flinched and moved behind me. She flinched when I reached for her. I hugged her and whispered sweet nothings into her ear.
"Aries, it's just me sweetpea. It's Lucy." I said as I wove my magic around hers to calm her. "It's okay. You're safe. I'm not gonna let them hurt you. Remember? I promised you that no one will ever hurt you like that again while you are my sprit didn't I?"
I noticed Loke looking at us and I glared at him. I expected him to leave but he glared back. I wondered why until I remembered that Aries was looking for her boyfriend, the one who protected her from Karen. I motioned that I wanted to talk to him later and he nodded. Once I managed to calm Aries down and have her safely in my arms before closing her gate, I headed outside.
Loke followed me and I headed towards where Karen had been buried. I waited for him to approach and once he was within hearing range, I began.
"Rumors say she was a great celestial wizard. In person, she was vain, used her spirits to avoid unwanted attention. She had a contract with two gold spirits. Aries and…you. Right?" I said slowly, "The spirit of the Lion, Leo."
He smiled sadly, "Well I won't deny it, but how did you find out?"
I looked at him as if he were stupid, "One, I am a celestial mage myself and have contracts with spirits that know what happened. Two, I have Aries. She's been looking for you but something about your situation has me worried. Normally when an owner of the gate key dies, the contract between the two is terminated and the spirit is forced back into their world until their key falls into new hands and a new contract is made. Your contract with her should have ended on the day she died." I said.
"That's right and it's been three years now." he said.
"Three years?! How?" I yelled.
He smiled again, "Pretty amazing huh? But I don't have the strength left to keep it up."
"Hold on. There has to be some way I can save you. What about your gate key?" I asked.
"You don't have to save me." he said.
"Don't say that!" I yelled.
"Look…there's no way I can go back. I broke a fundamental law that applies to both wizard and spirit and as a result…I was banished from the celestial world for all eternity." he explained.
"What exactly is it that you think you did?" I asked.
"I can't deny it, so I have no choice but to face the punishment. I'm a traitor to my own kind. I was contracted to Karen but she died because I killed her." he said.
I smacked him, "That's a lie. I beat the mage who beat Karen. Karen had taken a job she couldn't handle. She didn't have the magical power to sustain two gates. You had nothing to do with it and you know it! Aries knows it! She knows you were just protecting her!" I told him.
"How? How do you know that?" he asked.
I smacked him again, "Loke, Aries told me what happened. I know what Karen did to her. Why do you think she froze up at the guild? She moved towards me to protect her. I calmed her down and reassured her that I wasn't going to let it happen to her again. Not under contract with me at least."
"It was my fault and I've lived with the guilt ever since. The only way I could make things right…is if I died too."
I grabbed him and began trying to force his gate. I ignored his pleas to stop and continued pushing my magic into his gate. Stubborn thing, I pushed more into the gate.
"Don't do this! Please don't make me live with the guilt of killing you too!" he yelled.
"You didn't kill her! Whoever decided you were responsible needs to know that they were wrong!" I stated.
The magic seemed to snap like something was broken and time froze. Loke clung to me as we looked up at the sky and the water began to rise in the air.
"What's happening?" I asked him.
"Impossible…it's him…the Celestial Spirit King…" he said in awe.
We watched as a tall man wearing armor and a cape with an interesting mustache.
"What the heck is he doing here?" Loke asked.
"That's him? The ruler of the Spirit World?" I asked.
"Hello my old friend." the King greeted, "As you well know, both wizards and spirits must obey celestial law. And taking the life of a key holder is forbidden under any circumstance."
Loke looked shocked.
"Though not by your hand, you were still responsible for your key holder's death, Leo the Lion. Therefore you have been banished from the celestial world for eternity." the King stated.
I glared at the King, "That's not fair at all!"
"Lucy, stop!" Loke protested.
"Old friend, human girl, I have named my judgment and it stands. Leo has broken celestial law." the King said.
"Leo's been suffering in the human world for three long years! He didn't kill Karen. He stood up to her because somebody had to protect Aries!" I yelled.
"I must say I find it heartbreaking to see my old friend in such a fragile condition." the King said.
"What's wrong with you?!" I yelled, not caring that he was the king, "An old friend is still a friend right?! There's one right in front of you asking for a second chance for something he had nothing to do with! So open your eyes Stache Face!"
He looked a little stunned that someone was talking back to him, "Stache Face?"
"Uh Lucy?" Loke started but I ignored him.
"Karen died because she took on a job she couldn't handle! He had nothing to do with it! You have to change your verdict cause he's innocent! Please sir!" I said.
"Just drop it already. It doesn't matter if the verdicts changed! I'm not looking for forgiveness! I wanna disappear and finally be free from this guilt!" Loke yelled.
I put all of my magic energy I could muster and apparently I surprised the King, "I won't let you! You disappearing isn't going to bring Karen back to life! All it's gonna do is create more sadness! You did nothing wrong because it can't be a crime to protect the people you care about!" I felt all my spirits gates open around me, including Virgo's whom I haven't contracted yet to give her time to rest.
In my heart I knew I could hold this for a few minutes.
"What about all of your friends?! You're just going to leave them?! If you were to die, you'd leave me and Aries! And everyone else here behind! Think about us and how miserable we would be without you! Hell, I came to Fairy Tail so that Aries could see you."
Man I haven't drained my magic like this in a while.
"Lucy!" I heard Loke say.
"All of my friends who came forward just now, they feel the same way I do." I said.
"Your friends?" Loke said.
"If you're a celestial spirit too, then you can sympathize with what Leo and Aries went through." I said as I stumbled to my feet only to fall again.
"Would you stop?! You're gonna end up like Karen if you keep this up! Don't risk your life to save mine!" Loke yelled.
The King hummed just then, "Hearing you speak so highly of my old friend, has led me to think that maybe not his actions but the law itself that should be in question."
Both of us were surprised by the change.
"Leo was forced to commit his crime to protect Aries, his brethren, and the human girl who's willing to risk her life to save Leo. I am so moved by your bonds of loyalty, I shall make an exception in this case. Leo the Lion, you are hereby granted return passage to the celestial realm," the King declared.
Loke looked stunned and I grinned.
"You're the best. Thanks Stache Face!" I said.
He grinned, "You are exonerated. Be grateful to the guidance of the stars." he said as he slowly disappeared.
"I have to make it up to her," Loke said, "Please sir."
"Very well then, if you insist on atoning for your actions of the past, then I hereby order you to live your life in the service of your friend, the human girl." he ordered gently, "You are lucky to have found such a loyal friend. I suggest you protect her with your life, just as she fought to save yours."and with that final statement, he disappeared completely.
I smiled at Loke, "You heard him."
Loke smiled and got up, "Hey Lucy…" he said and held out a hand. I took it and felt the familiar metal of a key, "Thank you."
He vanished and I looked to see his key now in my possession, "Welcome to the family, Leo." I said.
-Meanwhile with the Spirits-
*Aquarius' POV*
All of us spirits had just gotten back after putting that flame riddled brained idiot in his place when a loud bang startled us all. It woke up Virgo and we all went to see what was going on. Lucy's magic was flaring so us contracted spirits knew it was her. We watched as Lucy's magic slammed harder against Leo's gate every time. It nearly opened too when we heard her voice.
"You didn't kill her! Whoever decided you were responsible needs to know that they were wrong!" Lucy said.
I felt a smug pride in my baby girl. Even I didn't challenge the king. Now it was a shock to see Leo's gate almost open without a key. It was shocking that Lucy had insulted the King. The UNHEARD OF was done when the KING APPEARED WITHOUT A SUMMONS! All of us spirits watched the interaction. I watched as she challenged him to change the law. She even called him STACHE FACE! To his face! I had to hold in my giggles at his reaction. It didn't last long when I saw Cancer doing the same thing I was and we were off. Once second I was giggling with Cancer and the next all of Lucy's Spirits, surprisingly including Virgo, appeared next to her. I was surprised because Virgo hasn't yet been contracted to Lucy but she was here. I was in awe and I was so proud of her. She changed the verdict and the law with her actions. Leo arrived back in the spirit world after a long time.
*Spirit King's POV*
I had just gotten back and sat in my office to think. That human girl was spunky. I can see why Aquarius and the rest of them were so protective of her. I just finished changing the law when I noticed Aries standing in the doorway.
"Yes Aries." I said.
"Sir, I'd like to tell you about what Karen did to cause Leo to do what he did." she said.
I was surprised because it seemed that she never wanted to talk about it with anyone. I nodded and listened. I listened and I realized that Aries was indeed used as a sex toy and distraction. She was punished by being made to stay on Earthland for disobeying an order. I listened as she looked down and continued to explain the situation that led to Leo's banishment. I could sense that she was scared and was about to comfort her when she flinched and disappeared. I looked at my viewing screen to see that she had gone to Lucy for comfort. I watched as Aries buried herself into Lucy and watched as Lucy's magic reached out to Aries' skittish magic and calmed her down.
"I told you she's a spitfire." a sudden voice said.
I turned to see Aquarius standing there with a smirk on her face.
"Yes she is. She's quite entertaining. I haven't had anyone look at me like that in years." I said.
Honestly, it was kind of refreshing that Lucy didn't seem to fear me.
Aquarius smiled, "She has her ways of getting to people. Despite her being low on magic, she used it to calm Aries down. Aries, not to mention the rest of us, feel comfortable in summoning ourselves to Lucy's side if we need it. Of course, if she's in a dangerous situation, we wait till she's alone and safe before going to her. We send a little magic through our bonds and she calls us out when she has the time and safety to do so. If you truly want a representation on how much Lucy cares for her spirits and spirits in general, Lucy had fought Virgo's previous key holder. A key holder that abused her without a care of her health on Earthland and how much her form impacts her magic. She had figured out that Virgo had been out too long in a form that wasn't good for her and once she won, she sent me and Aries to her to help. Lucy has enough magical power that I am able to heal Virgo's injuries to a point where the Celestial energy would do the rest. Lucy has actually been waiting for three Earthland days to pass so Virgo has healed completely."
AN: And that's a wrap. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. Please let me know how you like how I have Virgo portrayed. I feel like she is secretly hurt by all the comments but due to her nature she just ignores it all until she's in her space in the Celestial world to let it out.
Peace. ~Immortalshark
