The next day, Mark woke up to the sun shining brightly through his window. However he didn't have much energy to get out of bed due to the fact that he hasn't eaten last night, and there was also nothing left for breakfast. Thinking about how hard the was going to be just made him want to stay in bed, but he tried to get up anyways.

Once he started to really wake up, he rubbed his eyes and yawned, picking up the pillow that was laying on top of his head. But once he put his hand on the pillow, it didn't feel like one. It wasn't really soft like the others and it felt quite furry. remaining still, he could then feel breathing and hear a heartbeat from what he thought was a pillow.

(Oh shoot, oh shoot, oh shoot. Its a pokemon!) Mark moved really slowly, as he relised it was asleep. Carefully lifing the pokemon and putting it on the other side of the bed.

Once Mark was able to get out of the bed, he made a slow but quiet run for the living room and picked up the telephone to call someone, but he paused for a second. (Um, who do I call for a pokemon breaking into someone's home? Actually, nevermind I should probably alert the hotel guys.)

So Mark turned around to head to the front door but is met with the blue mew instead, levitating a plate of pink cake with him.

"WAH!" *SMASH!* "Shoot! The telephone!"

Mark jumped back in fear and accidentally dropped the telephone, smashing it into pieces. What's worse, the mew was just between him and the door, so escape wasn't really an option.

Frustrated, annoyed and a bit scared, Mark put his hands in front of him in a defensive position as he was backed into a corner. During this, he also noticed it was the same pokemon that attacked him yesterday. Except it was with another one in pink that decided to attack him. However, now that he was face to face with the pokemon, he didn't think much of it as he was busy trying to defend himself.

The mew reacted by clearing his voice and tried to talk to him. -Ahem! Uh... hello human. I'm sorry for taking your food yesterday. I want to give you something in return.-

But unfortunately, Mark couldn't understand a word coming from him.

"Listen, if it's food you want, I got none. They were all taken from me last night okay?"

-Nononono, thats not what I'm here for! I just... I... - The mews head pearked up a bit before presenting him the cake he has been holding. "That's... thats not mine. I don't have anymore okay?"

But the mew just kept trying to give Mark the cake. Eventually Mark grabbed it and the mew backed away from him. "Wait... is this is for..? *Points at himself*". The mew nods and just watches him.

Mark doesn't usually like eating cake or other sweet bakery foods for breakfast, but this time he was too hungry to care, so he made a slice with his hand and just ate it. It tasted way better than he expected, although part of him thought that was the case due to how hungry he was. *Nom*

The cake was sweet and the pink frosting was really creamy. It only took one half of the small cake for him to be full. The mew just watched Mark eat a full half of the cake, getting closer with a hungry expression. Mark noticed this and gave him the rest of it. "Hmm? You want the rest?"

The mew nods and takes the plate while devouring the rest of the cake. Mark then slowly sneaks around him to call for help, but was met by the pokemon giving him plate. "Um... this ain't mine."

-Oh. Well I hope you can now forgive me and we can become friends.-

"Huh? I don't know what you want."

-I said, maybe we can become... ahh, you know what.- 'Is this better?'

The sudden voice of the mew made Mark jump, causing him to look around frantically to find out where the voice came from. "Huh? who's there? Show yourself!"

'It's me silly! Wanna be friends?' This time the mew was waving at Mark, trying to get him to understand that he was trying to communicate with him. "Are you... talking to me?"

'No, I'm usually telepathy. You don't seem to understand me when I talk to you. Do you still understand me or not?'

"Now I do." Mark was still a bit confused but he understood enough to not ask questions, he knew what telepathy was and how it worked, he heard trainers brag about their pokemon learning telepathy to communicate with each other.

He was instead interested on why a pokemon would break into someone's house, or hotel room just to give them some cake. "So why did you come here? What was the point of that cake."

The mew just scratched his head nervously. 'Oh, about that... that was just an apology for stealing your food last night.'

"So wait. YOU were the one that stole my food?!" He nodded sheepishly while looking down and fiddling with his paws. "You scared me half to death, just to gave me some cake? Doesn't make up for what you did but I'll take what I can get."

'So does that mean you forgive me?' The mew asked with a cute look.

"No. It means I gotta go out, and get enough money again, to make up what was taken from me." Mark said as he packed his backpack and prepared himself to leave the hotel. "So if your done with whatever you came here to do, I most likely won't be seeing you again, okay? Goodbye." The door then closed shut, leaving the blue mew all alone.

Mark walks out the hotel and out of the town to find some leftover supplies in the wilderness areas. He does eventually come across a few paralyz heals and antidotes in the tall grass. And after picking them up, he gets attacked by a couple of wild bird pokemon he usually encounters on his trips. -It's a human! Get his back pouch.

(Not these things again!) Mark attempted to shoo the birds away with his hands but one of their claws managed to scratch his hand, causing it to bleed a little. He immediately pulled his hand back and watched as the birds flew closer to him with their claws pointed at Mark.

Close enough for Mark to grab the birds legs, just above the claws. The small pokemon then panicked a little and flapped its wings fast to break itself free. It was almost strong enough to lift him into the air, but Mark stood his ground and slammed the bird on a nearby rock, knocking it out instantly.

He then threw the knocked out pokemon towards the direction of the other bird to either hit it or scare it. The pokemon dodges the attack and focuses back on Mark.

"Unless you wanna end up like your friend, get lost you stupid bird!" Mark yelled with his fist in the air.

This was enough to get the pokemon to retreat. After that, he sat down on the nearby rock to treat his cut wound. He used a potion on it to speed up the healing process, sure it's not as effective on a human as it is on pokemon but it gets the job done for a small cut. 'Did you hurt yourself?'

"Yes, but it's only a scratch, I'm just glad those things are quite cowardly or else I would've been..." Mark stopped talking and looked behind him, noticing the blue pokemon just behind him. 'Hello!'

He waved happily at Mark, who looked quite annoyed and unamused. "What do you want?"

The mew took a look at hes scratch, examining it for a little bit. 'I can heal that for you if you want.'

"No thanks, it would be a waste of a potion if I let you. Also, are you following me? If you are than stop." Mark began walking away to look for more leftover items on the ground. He was then met with a large pile of floating repels, potions and status cures in front of him.

'Are you still mad at me?' The pokemon asked. "If I'm being honest, than yes. So is this why your following me? just to make up for what you did?" The mew nodded his head.

Mark stuffed all the items in his backpack until it was so stuffed that there was no room for anything left. "Well if thats the case than I think you've done enough- woah!" The weight of the backpack made him lose balance and fall over only to float just before he hit the ground. 'I can carry it if you want'

"I think I can manage." He regains his balance and slowly heads back to the pokemart to sell all the items he has. 'So... do you do this for fun?'

"Fun? This is work. I gotta find a way to make money somehow to pay for food and shelter, and this is what I do for it."

'O-Oh, right. Don't you have any friends? Some pokemon like I see other humans have.' Mark and the mew looked over at the distance at a trainer with their pokemon. "Well no, I don't have a pokemon. And I don't want one, don't need one."

'Huh? Why not?'

"Because I'm not a pokemon trainer. I'm not qualified to be one or even have my own pokemon. I can barely look after myself, so I can not look after my own pokemon." He almost trips on a rock and loses his balance but the mew helps him up. "Thanks."

'I understand what you mean... I think. But looking after one can't be that bad. How will you remain safe when wondering off into the tall grass. I've learnt the hard way that wild pokemon can be quite territorial.'

"Yes, I know. That's why I stay in places where I know there are weak pokemon so I can at least fight them myself. Also some newbie trainers pass by here, and they are usually clumsy on their first trip, occasionally dropping a few items along the way. Been doing this for a few years now so I know." Apon hearing this, the mew then began to notice a few more bruses and scars on his body.

'But still...' Before the mew could say anything else, they made it to the town and Mark entered the pokemart. After a minute, he came out with an empty backpack and some extra money. The mew was invisible the whole time and waited for Mark to leave the town to show himself again. "Oh there you are. Thought you finally left me."

'So how well did it go?' He asked curiously.

"Well better than expected. Got a decent amount of cash."

'Thats great! Are you going out to look for more? If so I can keep helping.'

"Nope, I'm just taking a break. I don't wanna stay inside all day so I'm just staying out for a bit." Mark sits down on a lone bench just next to the path he was walking on.'Oh, I see.' The mew sits next to him and looks up into the sky. 'Its a nice day today, isn't it?'

"I know what you're trying to do. Tryna chit-chat with me so we eventually become friends right?" The mew nodded. 'Please?'

"But why me? Why me specifically? Do you really feel that bad for me?"

'W-Well no, its just that I... I don't know. I just want to be friends with you because it would remind me of the good old days.' His answer confused Mark but also made him a little bit curious. "What good old days?"

'I don't remember... and I don't want to remember... I think... I need to go.' He got up and began flying away. "Hey, what are you talking about?"

'I'm sorry, but I need to go. I'll see you later, bye!'

"Um... bye?" He watched as the pokemon flew out of view, until suddenly something came from the sky in the opposite direction and landed on the bench Mark was sitting on. He noticed it and jumped out of the way just in time, and all that was left of the bench was a small cloud of dust.

"The hell was what? A meteorite?" He got up and dusted himself. As the dust cleared, all Mark saw was a small creater and a very very angry pink mew staring right at him. 'Where is HE!?'
