I woke up, frightened and shivering. "What a horrible dream," I murmered, remembering the images all to well. I laid back on my bed and looked up to the skylight above me. "What beautiful stars there are tonight," a voice cooed from somewhere near. I jumped.
"Who-who is that?" I slowly stammered. "Why it's me, Your Highness." a silver-white dove stepped into the moonlight. "I don't understand..." I said, slowly backing away from the talking dove. "Ah yes, your memory has faltered." it said, all too matter-of-factly. "Memory, what memory?" I asked, confused, thinking I was just having another weird dream. "You," he paused,"are the Star Flower Empress, destined to become our Princess of Light." "Me?" I questioned, "you're not making any sense." He sighed, "I guess you'll remember gradually." He hopped over to my bed and snuggled in. "Ummm.... excuse me, what exactly do you think you're doing?" I asked. "You're going to need your strength if you're going to save the universe again," he chuckled nervously, "a lot." I gave up trying to understandthis odd-beyond-odd dream and snuggled in as well, drifting to sleep under the light of the moon...
The next morning...
The sun's rays awoke me just as I was finishing my splendid dream. "Stupid sun..." I grumbled, pulling the covers over my head as I had done so many times before. "Lil-y!!!" a voice called teasingly. "Ryoko!!! What are you doing?!?!?" I asked, squinting up at her all-to-familiar face. She grinned her 'evil' grin, and I knew she was up to something. "You're looking particularly evil today," I said suspiciously. "I wouldn't be talkin' Sleeping B-U-T. It's 8:00 and I bet your mom'll be REALLY angry that you slept in sooooooo late." "Why'd you wake me up so late?!?!" I yelled angrily as I began to get dressed. "She told me to wake you up, but she didn't say what time." Ryoko said as she ran out of the room laughing histerically. "I'll get her some day!" I thought angrily.
Arriving at the bus stop, totally out of breath, my friends Jijokii, Cici, and Fiona came to greet my. Was'up?" Cici asked looking hyper and ready to go crazy. "Ryoko," *gasp* "woke me up late." I panted, catching my breath.
As the bus pulled up, a 'dumb blonde' tripped over my foot and fell on her bottom. "Gee, I'm sorry," I said, helping the girl to her feet. "It's ok, no need to apologize to Serena the Klutz," a girl about the same age said. "Ugh!!! You make me so angry Rei!!" the so-called 'Serena' said, sticking her tounge out. Rei stuck her tounge out as well, head-butting Serena against a brunnette, also about the same age. "Stop fooling around you two!" she laughed as she pulled both of their ears. Still laughing, as Serena and Rei rubbed their ears, she told me not to mind them, "they're really the best of friends." I turned around as Jijokii tapped me and hurried onto the bus.
