"Oh, indeed, it is a serious responsibility. But he wouldn't have asked you if he hadn't thought you more than capable of it."
"I don't want to step on your toes, though." Lex was already in awe of Alfred, as well as of the way that Bruce's butler/Batman's confidant seemed to move so easily between his two different worlds.
"Believe me, it is an area where I've shouldered limited responsibilities, and those reluctantly. I would be relieved, to speak quite frankly, to pass it on. If, as you and Mr. Wayne have concluded, the elder Mr. Luthor presents a potential threat, we will very well need your expertise and assistance."
"Then, I'd be glad to." *I've just signed on as business manager for a group of superheroes. Including my brother and Bruce Wayne's alter-ego. It's only going to get stranger from here on.*

"Timeliness for business meetings isn't one of our strengths, Lex," Bruce Wayne murmured as he leaned over. Lex and Clark had been introduced to AquaMan, the Flash, the Green Lantern, the Black Canary, and Robin, but most of the chairs remained unfilled, even though it was past the scheduled time.
The door swung open with a dramatic flourish that Lionel Luthor might have envied, and a woman strode in. "Wow, what a day," she said, breezily, looking around the table. "Stop salivating, Fleshy, I mean, Flashy. Hey, Bats." There was a very long pause. Lex swallowed.
"Lex?"
"Diana?"
"You and Wonder Woman are acquainted?"
"Yes, Alfred, you might just say that," she grinned. "Lex and I are old..." As she paused, her eyes continued around the table. "Clark's here?" She shook her head. "Somebody wanna explain?"
Lex stole a glance at Clark. He was blushing, more crimson than the Flash's outfit. *As well he should, considering...*
"Let's wait for the full story until at least a few more of us are here," Canary said, chuckling. "But for right now, Clark is going to join us as Superman, and Lex is going to be our business manager."
"So, Clark's not dead. Is your dad?"
"No. He's disguised as me," Lex said, wondering where to begin explaining. Clark didn't seem able to emit more than a squeak that could have caught Bruce's attention as possible competition in the bat arena. She dropped in a chair next to Lex and grinned again.
"So, Lex, the world continues to be full of surprises."
"That it does."
He caught Clark leaning over to Alfred and whispering. By listening intently, he was able to catch the older man's tolerantly amused, "No, I'm afraid that Buffy is not a real superhero, and Ms. Gellar will not be joining us." At Clark's face, he added, "It was a serious disappointment for young Robin, too."
A/N:
As usual, no idea of this is an epilogue or the start of a new series. My Muse has control issues. Or, perhaps, I just have issues with the fact that the Muse controls everything.
I'd first planned on bringing Diana/Wonder Woman in much earlier, and she'd be the one who would more or less bring Clark Luthor into being Clark Kent/Superman but she dug her heels in and refused until now. Wanted him to do it by himself, I guess. Siiigh.
I have a feeling that if this continues, it will be comedy/drama.
