Disclaimer: Of course I don't own "The Mummy" (1 or 2) or any of the characters therin. Why do ya think I'm writing here, instead of in some Hollywood studio? Besides, I'm flat broke, so it wouldn't do any good to sue me, anyway.

A/N: Hey, what can I say? This hit me, almost fully formed, in the middle of the night. It's (duh) an MR poem. I'm assuming that you already know what it's about from the summary that accompanied the link, so I won't trouble you with repeating myself. Anyhow, on with the show!

For Her I defied society. I killed many, even my pharoah. I stole the sacred book. I performed the forbidden ritual. I was eternally cursed. I became the undead. I did it all for her. Just when I needed her the most, she ran from me. Now, as I let go, fall into what I dare not imagine, I close my eyes and smile for her.

A/N: *dodges rotten fruit and various blunt objects* Sorry! Yeah, I know! You're probably wondering what I'm doing writing about the villan like he's some love-lorn good guy. *holds up hands in self-defense* To tell you the truth, I was wondering the same thing. I never was overly fond of the mummy- boy, but... Well, you really gotta feel for him there, ya know? He sacrificed everything for that girl, and she ran away screaming! There's gratitude for ya. Personally, I think he shoulda kept Meela. She just struck me as a stronger sort of person. But, hey, who listens to me? Oh, btw, I'm brand new to FFN, so reviews are greatly appreciated. I have loads of stories for various subjects waiting in the wings, and I'd like to know what people think of my writing style. Thanks! ^_^
