Sympathy

After all he's done to us,

I feel sorry for him.

It's irony at it's worst.

After losing Evie,

even for such a short time,

I think I understand him.

He never asked

to control plagues,

or wipe out mankind.

He just wanted to

be with her forever,

like I do with Evie.

But, when it came down

to saving him at her own risk,

she refused.

He pleaded with her,

and she ran.

Now, even though

he's dead inside,

he smiles.
