Satine sat in her new dressing room thinking about all that has happened to her these past few months. ' I finally know what it's like to be in love.' She thought. Every thing in her life has been perfect for her since she met Christian. But the Duke is really the only true person that keeps ruining her happiness. While she thinks of all this she is interrupted by a knock at the door.
"Who is it?" She asked.
" It's Harold chickpea."

She doesn't say a word, but waits for what news Harold has brought her.
" The Duke has asked for you to have dinner with him tonight at 8:00 in celebration of the new dressing room and the show."
Satine tried to cover up her disappointed face, which worked. Harold left right after giving her the news. Satine gave a gag expression of the news. She knew she wouldn't go, she would just tell the duke that she needed to work on her lines, or she would tell him she was sick. But really what she was doing was spending another night with her Christian. Every night she had been with him. She felt as though if she went one night without him around her, she would die.
