Chapter 2:Why Won't Anyone Listen?
After Draco broke up with her, Hermione went to tell Harry and Ron about what happened. She was sure they'd listen and would understand about going out with Draco, after all, they were her best friends. As Hermione entered the great hall, ready to break the news to the boys, she noticed that them, and the rest of the guy population were staring at Parvati. She quickly asked Lavender what was going on. "Oh," said Lavender, "It's some new perfume that Parvati got that's suppose to make her irresistible. I think it's just making her act like a slut. I mean look, all the boys are staring at her. Yes, we need to get that perfume away from her." "Um Lavender," asked Hermione, "I'm just going to leave now okay?"
"Miss Bitch, even taking my own boyfriend, as if she didn't already have one of her own." muttered Lavender, "Dean look at me, not her. Sheesh." During dinner Hermione tried to get the boys to talk to her, but had no success. Snape noticed all of this from the teacher's table and chuckled to himself, "Now maybe I can get Hermione, after all she's so beautiful. Stop staring Severus. Now if I could only get her to come into my office. Oh you're just an old man, stop being perverse, she'd never want you." Hermione got no sleep that night thinking about how her best friends betrayed her.
