They think that they know me, what I'm all about but they don't. They just know the facade. The play I put on. You and only you have seen glimpses of who I really am.
* I've got shaky little fingers, that hold on to your grip, You've got wrapped around my world, So tight I can't breathe, I'm suffocating*
Every time you propose friendship, I grasp onto that little ball of hope. But you always consume my thoughts, my dreams, and you steal my heart. While holding onto this small piece of hope, I scarcely breathe..I'm afraid I might ruin it.

When we become friends, I am so over-joyed but then one of us takes it to the next level. We kiss and you run away, leaving me crushed. And there goes the friendship.

Then I go back to the façade. Hiding everything inside, playing that game. I keep my love for you pent up in me. I can barely breathe.

So here we go, trying this friendship thing again. But we both know it will be to no avail. I'm going to try though. Maybe some day, I can make you understand how I feel. How I would never hurt you. And maybe some day, you won't be scared anymore.
