As they got in the car to go back to Jamie's house, Landon was nervous. He
wanted to tell Jamie how he felt about her, but he didn't know how to say
it to her. She had said not to fall in love with her. But he knew that she
was scared of getting close to someone. Truthfully, he was scared too. But
he wanted to tell Jamie how he felt.
As they got to Jamie's house, Landon stopped the car and went around to open the door for her. Taking her hand, he led her up the stone steps towards the door. He looked at her. She was so beautiful. She couldn't see him looking at her: she was looking up at the stars. "Jamie?" he called, getting her attention. She turned around as he took her small hands into his. He brought her a little closer to him. She shivered a little from the cold, even with her sweater on. He put his arms a little tighter around her to shelter her from the cold.
She looked up at him, and he could see that she was a little nervous, but he didn't know what for. "Jamie," he said. He stopped. She was looking at him and he was nervous. There was no turning back; he had to say it now. He knew that he wanted to say it to her, but he wasn't sure what she was going to say. She looked at him wonderingly, waiting for him to say whatever he was going to say. "What is it?" she asked. He I go, he though. "Jamie, I love you."
He leaned into her and kissed her. She was a little startled at this, because she was not expecting it. After the kiss, she looked back at him and didn't know what to say. "Please say something," he said. "I don't know what to say." She wanted to tell him how she felt, but she didn't want to tell him that she was sick. But she loved him. But she couldn't decide if she wanted to tell him. But she had to tell him that she was sick. If they were going to have a relationship, it would not be fair to put him through all the pain that she was going to have to go through. "I have to tell you something." "Okay, what is it?" asked Landon. He could tell from her face that it was not good. The scared look on his face when he looked at her made her too scared to tell him. "I love you," she said. Landon leaned in to kiss her again, and put his arms tighter around her.
